Do yall think killer and chara had a pinky swear system. It is forbidden to break the Pinky Swear.

Like Nightmare allows a break and rest if Killer does something well and Killer holds out his pinky for the reassurance of the Sacred Vow and Nightmare..just stares at him blankly, unimpressed, and Killer is suddenly reminded of his place in this dynamic again.

The Boss calls the shots here and there is no bargaining with him. Not even the comforting facade of being partners on a shared goal, despite the underlying truth they’re both aware of.

So he attempts with his new “teammates” Horror and Dust. And they stare at him flatly or just blatantly walk away. Coworkers, not partners or teammates.

He attempts with Cross, his Boss assigned field partner. He’s not expecting much, but his too Determined to give up. But, oh, look at that! Huzzah! After a brief moment of silent surprise under a glare, their pinkies are interlocked!

Cross grew up with two siblings and was childhood friends with XFrisk and XAsriel. He’s definitely done pinky swears before. Has no idea why the Hell Killer does them though.

At least it seemed to get the man to shut up for once though. (He uses pinky swears to buy moments of peace and quiet now. They’ve managed to get up to an hour now.)

Anyone who breaks the promise dies one way or the other. Not that Cross knows that, Killer thought it was just a given.
