Favorite Feral Lan Wangji Moments:
- Punching down several trees after kissing his crush (derogatory) for the first time because he has no idea how to process emotions normally
- Randomly biting Wei Wuxian in the cave because he has no idea how to process emotions normally
- Getting absolutely shit faced for the first time in his life and destroying a bunch of shit around cloud recesses before branding himself with the mark his crush from 10 years ago also had because he- well you get it.
- Writing an entire love song for his crush, naming it their ship name, and then only ever singing it out loud once to said crush without him knowing (this is an important tool we'll save for later)
- Generally enjoying being a little shit and then pretending he didn't do anything when people confront him about it
Please feel free to add to this because I know there is much, much more!

Going back to imagining with an AU where the HuaLians met and got married centuries before the main plot, imagine that, in the bride's arc, upon hearing his husband's youthful laughter, Xie Lian, sitting in the sedan, smiles in love with Hua Cheng's joke and wait.
Shortly after, a beautiful and elegant hand, with long slender fingers and snow-white skin, reaches out to him through the curtain of the sedan, and without hesitation, Xie Lian accepts that hand.
When they arrive in front of the temple, they stop in front of each other. Xie Lian swings his body forward, as if asking Hua Cheng to do something, and Hua Cheng does.
Hua Cheng's hands reach for the veil, slowly lifting the tissue until it drapes over the top of Xie Lian's head, gently swaying in the wind. These same hands cradle the beautiful and delicate face, with soft skin, of Xie Lian, who sighs, smiles and cradles his face in his husband's left hand. Finally, Hua Cheng stops resisting, and kisses him as if this were their official wedding night.
Marrying your husband twice doesn't hurt after all.

The Shen Jiu & Shen Yuan dynamic I need to see more of is Shen Jiu coming to see Shen Yuan as a father figure, perhaps even a mother figure. And not in the way you think.
We are always talking about Shen Yuan's wife beam, but we don't talk about his mommy beam. I think Shen Jiu could resist the wife beam if subjected to it, but I don't believe he has any defense against the mommy beam. Now, I'm not talking about Shen Yuan transmigrating earlier than canon, meeting a child Shen Jiu and adopting him.
I'm talking about Shen Yuan transmigrating after Shen Jiu has already taken over Qing Jin peak. I'm talking about 21 year old Shen Yuan transmigrating into the body of a nameless rogue cultivator, meeting fully grown man already in his thirties Peak Lord Shen Qingqiu, and hitting him with his mommy/daddy-issuesinator and causing him a life threatening Qi deviation.
Shen Qingqiu can't help but trust him, and eventually looks up to him, sees him as a wise elder he seeks out for advice. He fucking hates it but he can't help himself. This homeless man he met in the forest is the closest thing he's ever had to a father. Also. He sort of wants Shen Yuan to breastfeed him in a, and he means this, non sexual way and he can't cope with that. He would just feel so safe!!
Shen Yuan, 21 years old, rogue cultivator, first time transmigrator and the father who stepped up, thinks he befriended the scum villain, and maybe? He can be a good influence on him? Be a good friend and guide him towards a fully limbed future. He's practically raising him but nobody tell him that.
Shen Jiu lost his childhood to slavery and his teenage years to violent madmen. and now he's behaving in ways he doesn't understand. He once lost sight of Shen Yuan in the town's market, ran towards a man who looked exactly like Shen Yuan from behind, and almost had a panic attack when the man turned out to be a stranger. It's all good because Shen Yuan found him before he started swinging Xiu Ya ("Have you seen my friend? He's this tall, clearly traumatized, but we haven't had the talk")
People think they're lovers at some point because Shen Jiu is quite possessive of Shen Yuan's attention, but everybody realizes that there's something way more innocent, and also weirder, and worse, going on between them when Shen Yuan drags Shen Qingqiu by the hand to apologize to the sect leader for being so rude when poor A-Yue is trying his best, and stands there with arms crossed, eyebrows raised, until Shen Qingqiu mumbles an apology, glances at Shen Yuan, and runs away.
"I'm sorry about that, Sect Leader Yue, he's had a bad day. I'm sure he didn't mean it."
Yue Qingyuan, someone who did actually sort of raise Shen Qingqiu, who's stood in Shen Yuan's shoes before, extracting reluctant apologies from a sullen Shen Jiu, to authority figures so he wouldn't get in trouble, is overcome by an intense, never before experienced wave of jealousy, so sudden it makes him spit vinegar flavored blood.
Then, a panicked Shen Yuan accidentally hits him with the mommy beam by accidentally adopting him (trying to befriend this guy who clearly needs a friend he can confide in!). And now he's placed himself in the young step-mom role who's desperately trying to bond with her new husband's teenage children but they're wired to not like her! (He used those exact words when explaining to Shang Qinghua where that new tension he has with the Sect Leader came from)
Liu Qingge is afraid of him. Maybe. He runs away when their eyes meet but he keeps leaving dead things at his feet so like, he's probably threatening him? He feels intimidated by him? Or something?
(Liu Qingge thinks Shen Qingqiu's older brother is so cool and really wants to hang out with him, but if Shen Yuan calls him Didi one more time Liu Qingge's barely held back "Yes, Gege?" Is going to jump out of his mouth and he WILL Qi deviate and EXPLODE)
When Binghe enters the equation shit gets a lot weirder.
First, he believes Shen Yuan to be Shen Qingqiu's neglected spouse (Shizun keeps leaving his poor wife alone when he goes out on night hunts and to visit brothels! Shen Yuan has needs!! He should be with someone who cherished him!! Someone who would treat him as he deserves to be treated, someone who'd wait hand and foot on him!!!) needless to say, Luo Binghe's teenage fantasies take on an even more illicit turn than in canon (it goes from "STERN TEACHER POUNDED BY STUDENT AT BAIZHAN TRAINING GROUNDS" to "NEGLECTED WIFE CHEATS WITH STUDENT ON HUSBAND'S BED!! IMPREGNATED WHILE HUSBAND IS AWAY")
Luo Binghe, of course, does his best to seduce him, but ends up being coddled and cuddled.
"it's like I'm his handmaiden, his shadow, the only witness to my lady's heartbreak at her husband's cold regard and indiscretions. Shizun won't spare him a moment if not to discuss cultivation or business! He won't allow Shen Yuan more than a head pat! and move away from any other touch! How ungrateful! They don't even share a bed! I brush his hair, I dress him every morning, I pour him tea and he lets me rest my weary head on his lap. The intimacy we share is not sexual, but Ning-Shijie, I wish it was! I saw the outline of his dick yesterday and I need it!"
"A-Luo please stop talking."
Then, he realizes he misunderstood. Shen Yuan is a cultivator so of course he looks so young! Shen Yuan is clearly Shen Qingqiu's father. He's constantly worried for his un-filial son and remains by his side!! That explains everything!!!(LONELY DILF RIDES YOUNG MAN ON QING JING'S LIBRARY!! HE WISHES YOUNG MAN WAS HIS SON!!!!)
He goes from trying to steal Shen Qingqiu's wife to steal his father. He could be Shen Yuan's friend, lover, and son. His student. His confidant. His silly rabbit.
Shen Qingqiu KNOWS this. But nobody will fucking believe him!! The jiejies at the pavilion giggle and tell him he must be exaggerating, and when he went to Yue Qingyuan so he could intervene and fix it, Yue Qi just looked at him dead eyed and said to "Let him." !!! Let him what?? Deflower our father Qi-Ge??? Shame on you!! That beast is trying to break this family apart!!
But wait!!! look!!! a crack opened in the fabric of space and reality, leading directly to hell. Wouldn't it be a shame if someone were to, accidentally, drop kick this homewrecker inside it?
Luo Binghe is gone when Shen Qingqiu realizes oh wait, that was a demon mark on his forehead wasn't it. Oh good, now he has an excuse. Baba will understand.
(Baba doesn't understand. Baba acts as if he's lost his soul and won't look him in the eye. He's also growing mushrooms bodies in the garden, and added a drop of Shen Qingqiu's blood in the seeds before planting? Which is odd. but at least if he's gardening then he's not staring at that swordmound for hours on end)
I don't even know where I'm going with this

it's been way too long since i last did wildly self-indulgent fanart, so of course i did it for an SVSSS AU that doesn't even have any actual fanfiction written of it yet. but what can i say! it's a compelling scenario! Just check the original post for details!
here's a workplace doodle for his mess of an outfit, too:
Tumblr media
Xin Mo is floating behind his back, wrapped in talismans. the collars are meant to be vaguely inspired on a flower bud.
Some notes i came up with for this version, copied straight from a month-old discord convo:
he may have protagonist halo now, but he's for sure not a stallion protagonist. he literally exchanged fates with his favorite person in the world in order to spare them a hellish trial-- that's romantic as fuck!! damn!! this is old CLAMP shoujo and no mistake!!
binghe may no longer be the protag, but he's still a half-heavenly demon. power-wise, heavenly demons can't be topped, and all the remaining heavenly demons are accounted for. so, SQQ can't be a heavenly demon, even in part.
HOWEVER, as a protagonist, there's a factor more important than power! it's the CHUUNI FACTOR. what's more CHUUNI™️ than being part demon?
one option is being part demon and part angel.
how would that even fucking work??????? IDK man, you can either pull from chinese folklore for fairies or heavenly beings or spirits, or you can blame Airplane and go "he accidentally implied the existence of christian elements by means of importing unexamined anime tropes"
Shen Jiu conveniently has a big fat blank on his parentage. We as fans can and have put whatever the hell we wanted there.
SQQ would jump into the abyss still under the impression SJ was a shallow villain. If his trip through the abyss involves recovering SJ's memories somehow, that sure would be fun times, huh?
so he awakens a mysterious ancestry and survives the abyss and takes Xin Mo, but he probably takes longer than Binghe did due to being squishier.
but Xin Mo isn't ACTUALLY his! so he papers it over with sealing talismans, and to battle the temptation to wield it he takes to wearing these longass sleeves. they're probably covered in talismans as well.
guessing Xiu Ya stayed behind to be mooned over by the clown trio in Cang Qiong. let's go full sparkle-sue here and say he's now fighting almost entirely via musical cultivation. i like swan-necked konghou harps so let's go with that, it'll look dope.
why is he barefoot? why WOULDN'T he be, is the question. fragile!! suffering!! dainty!! he's a shrinking flower, tormented by the weight of the One Sword To Rule Them All!!
also for extra pathos, his constant mental struggle against Xin Mo means he can't spare energy to front. it takes constant focus! he's still a bit in his delusional shit, but even when he's going "oh no, binghe is only latched throat-deep onto my dick because he's a good boy who's concerned about me and the danger i could pose by losing control" he'd probably… well, he'd probably say that out loud to anyone who asked. he's in a half-trance, mentally battling the crazy-making sword. lying is too much work.
Wouldn’t resisting Xin Mo’s influence be the mental and spiritual equivalent to training under 400x gravity or something? his wife-beam is going to be off the charts when he puts it down.
also also: who the hell dressed him like that? fucking shang qinghua, of course, after SQQ showed up in the northern palace to punish MBJ for hurting binghe in the conference. did the system explain shit to SQH? on the one hand, extremely funny if it updates him on the role change out of nowhere mid-alliance. on the other hand, extremely funny if he only finds out because Binghe is crying safely in Qing Jing while the scum villain apparently jumped into the abyss.
Here's another link to the original AU post! I've had it open on a tab all this time just so i could point to it when I was done, so make sure to check it out!

If you’re up to it:
Wei Wuxian getting the Xin Mo shards (from SVSSS) dropped on his head while in the Burial Mounds, and making some sort of portal artifact out of them.
I’ll leave the details up to you, though if you need more to work with: I find the idea of WangXian stumbling into the post canon SVSSS-verse, only to somehow end up mopping up some of the skipped/leftover PIDW wife-plots, to be absolutely hilarious.
mmnn admittedly i don't think i could really write non-svsss fic, but here's... something short and kinda similar (bingqiu finding wwx in the abyss, wherein the abyss == burial mounds)
---
"...Shizun, I think it's dead."
"Not yet he isn't," Shen Qingqiu corrects, poking at the boy's cheek tentatively with his fan.
"Shizun, I think it should be dead," Luo Binghe says, and Shen Qingqiu tries not to roll his eyes.
"Binghe was the one that dragged this child out of the Abyss and brought him home," Shen Qingqiu reminds him, casting Luo Binghe an unimpressed look over his shoulder.
Luo Binghe, hovering as far away from Shen Qingqiu (and the nearly dead boy) as he can seem to bear, scowls, turning his head away.
"That was before he started radiating tainted energy he picked up from the Abyss into our nice rugs," Luo Binghe mutters darkly.
Shen Qingqiu sighs, standing and turning away from the boy. The poor thing hasn't died so far; he can survive a few more minutes while Shen Qingqiu soothes his husband's ruffled feathers.
It's quite clear to Shen Qingqiu why Luo Binghe brought this half-dead boy home to begin with. Luo Binghe had gone off to investigate an Abyssal tear, expecting to find some instability or missing shard of Xin Mo or crazy monster or something, and instead found....
Well. Luo Binghe had been about this boy's age, when Shen Qingqiu had pushed him into the Endless Abyss. The boy has a cut in his chest, too; surgical and seemingly cared for and not quite in the same place that Luo Binghe had been cut by Xiu Ya, but similar enough. And from a cursory look, the boy has strong spiritual vein but no golden core - again, not quite the same as Luo Binghe's broken half-and-half cultivation that had ravaged his spiritual pathways on the edge of the Abyss, but...
Everything altogether, the boy really does remind Shen Qingqiu of the suffering Luo Binghe faced, all those decades ago. Shen Qingqiu is sure that he reminds Luo Binghe just the same.
He's sure that Luo Binghe had not been able to turn his back on this boy, thinking about how desperately Luo Binghe had wanted someone to come save him from the Abyss.
"Binghe," Shen Qingqiu calls softly. "What do you want to do?"
"Put him back where I found him," Luo Binghe grouches.
Shen Qingqiu tries not to look too amused.
"If I promise to not go near him without you," Shen Qingqiu clarifies, watching the way Luo Binghe's expression flickers, "what do you want to do?"
Luo Binghe falls silent, his expression dark. Shen Qingqiu isn't sure he quite hit the nail on the head, but he got close enough: Luo Binghe may feel pity towards a boy that reminds him of his past self, but Luo Binghe is just as equally wary of anyone that would be so similar to the half-feral demon that Luo Binghe had to become in order to survive the Abyss.
Luo Binghe didn't want Shen Qingqiu to be around him when he was fresh from the Abyss, instead choosing to only show himself to Shen Qingqiu after he'd begun establishing himself as a respected cultivator at Huan Hua. It's quite clear to Shen Qingqiu that Luo Binghe wouldn't want Shen Qingqiu around this boy, either.
"Shizun would be sad if he died," Luo Binghe eventually says, looking away.
"Mm," Shen Qingqiu agrees.
"And he should at least stay long enough he can scrub the floors he's dirtied," Luo Binghe continues.
"Of course," Shen Qingqiu says, as if he doesn't know full well that Luo Binghe won't be satisfied unless he himself is the one to clean the floors that Shen Qingqiu walks on.
"...I suppose he can stay for a small time, if it pleases Shizun," Luo Binghe sighs.
Shen Qingqiu smiles at Luo Binghe, and then turns back to the half-dead boy and begins working on making him less dead.
Inwardly, Shen Qingqiu feels a bit of glee. It's been several long years since Luo Binghe let Shen Qingqiu adopt another wayward stray, after all!

another scrapped fic from the TMAAF verse!
Hello all! Here's another scrapped oneshot from the TMAAF series—I wrote about 500 words before deciding to take this concept in a different direction, so here's the section I had to cut. Enjoy! <3
____
My dear husband,
I departed Lanling two nights ago by water, and took the next leg of the journey on horseback; and since the weather this morning is quite fine, I should be home by tomorrow afternoon. A-Ling and A-Yong and the little ones are all well—Jin Ling sends Sizhui and Jingyi his best, and assures them that no offense was taken at their absence. He also sent his love to the children and a little stuffed tiger for Wenwen, which I have with me in my bag.
I miss you desperately, my darling. I was delighted to see A-Ling again, and our small great-niece and nephews; but you are the joy of my days, beloved, and it will never be easy to part from you. Wait only a little longer, and we will be together again.
Faithfully yours,
Wei Ying.
When Lan Wangji received a messenger talisman over breakfast yesterday morning, promising his husband’s return to Gusu within the next thirteen shichen, he was so glad at the news that he hardly knew what to do with himself.
Wei Ying has been away in Lanling for nearly a month, in order to be present for the birth of Jin Ling’s third child. He missed small Jin Hong’s birth three years previously, since Chunyang was born around the same time, and the birth of Jin Ling’s daughter Jin Xiu came just after the arrival of Jiang Wanyin’s little A-Lian.
Hence, Wei Ying and Jiang Wanyin were determined to be by their nephew’s side when Jin Ling’s wife gave birth to her second son, Jin An. They did not stay long, for both Nie Shiyong and small An’er are healthy and in good spirits: and now both brothers are on their way home, Jiang Wanyin to Lotus Pier and Wei Ying to the Cloud Recesses.
Home, Lan Wangji thinks to himself now, as he lights the fire beneath the Jingshi’s kitchen stove. This is my Wei Ying’s home.
It still seems new to him that Wei Ying is his, even nine years after their marriage. Lan Wangji will never grow used to seeing his beloved toasting his feet by the fire in the Hanshi, or visiting the Cloud Recesses’ nursery with him to bring Chun-bao her packed lunches—for his love has grown more fervent with time, though his young self would not have thought it possible—and his wonder at having that love fulfilled has not left him since the day Wei Ying first accepted his hand in marriage.
I love you more now than I did this morning, he told Wei Ying once, when their son Xiaohui was still a toddling baby who refused to part from his A-Niang. And I will love you more deeply tomorrow, and deeper still the day after that.
“Papa,” a piping voice says from the door, jolting Lan Wangji from his thoughts. “Can I help make breakfast?”
Lan Wangji turns to his daughter, smiling at the sight of her sleep-ruffled hair, and kisses the top of her little head.
“You can help me make luncheon in a little while, baobao. For now, wash your face and wake Chun-bao, and fetch Xiao-Yu from the garden.”
Shuilan nods and trundles away, clutching a bundle of drowsy yellow fur to her chest. Lan Wangji bites back a smile; for A-Lan’s favorite cat, Huangdan, must have crept into her bed while she slept.

The Rebel Princess Gave Me Everything I Wanted from a Court Intrigue Drama
Hello, friends. I am once again here to praise a heterosexual drama. I'm shocked as much as you. This time @lurkingshan created enough curiosity in me that I didn't charge her any of her recommendation tickets, and she got me to watch 68 episodes of people determined to fuck Zhang Zi Yi's character Wang Xuan.
Tumblr media
This show gave everything that shows like Game of Thrones thought they were giving. It was such a relief to watch a show where everyone had clear goals and went about them in fairly sensible ways. On the real, though, almost every character's primary motivation for doing anything is because they wanna fuck the most eligible daughter of the Wang clan, even in the final episode. I couldn't believe it!
Tumblr media
I had a great time with this show! It gave me some of the most competent characters I've ever seen, and the primary couple works really well together. The hardest thing for me with this show (other than the heterosexuality) was the fact that they didn't let Zhang Zi Yi play a martial artist. This is the girl who stole the Green Destiny. This is the girl throwing knives across fields and around trees. They wanted me to believe she could only rely on her wits!
Tumblr media
This show had some incredible characters. We had the Empress Dowager, who is always mad that no one likes her even as she's trying to force people to surrender to her will. I'm so glad she's not on twitter.
Tumblr media
We had her song, Zilong, who has probably the most compelling arc in the show. He was a useless little shit early on, but he was actually growing into the role of emperor and was one of the few characters in power to actually care about the health and stability of the nation.
Tumblr media
There's Ma Zilu, aka The Brothel Prince. He was my favorite villain. He was the only villain not focused on who got to fuck his cousin/sister and for that I respect him the most. He also had an incredible cackle. Look at him stabbing his own brother to stab Xuan.
There's Yu Xiu, my favorite girl of all time. I just need her to know that she did well in the interview. All of Ningshuo Army. Pan Gui, my beloved.
Tumblr media
There's an incredible cast. I don't want to go on naming all of them, because truly the character I loved the most was Xiao Qi. This man was genuinely good in a way we so rarely get in these intrigue dramas. He's loyal, powerful, and competent. He cares about the state of the world and aspires to no higher position than is necessary to accomplish the mission. Then he surrenders his power and tries to go home. He loves and respects his wife, promises to marry only her, and chooses not to have children to make sure she doesn't risk dying in childbirth.
This show is full of some incredible battle sequences that are some of the most satisfying I've ever experienced in TV. They spend their money efficiently, but they build the emotions so well that every time we are seeing combat we can feel the stakes. It's been so long since I watched a show with good Warrior's Bond content, and I was compelled by this show once it really got rolling.
Still, as much as I loved this show and highly recommend it, I will not be watching another drama anytime soon with this much heterosexuality in it.

Day 28: “No… Not Like This”
AO3 link
(Based on this idea)
When Shen Qingqiu had realised that there was no way to avoid pushing Luo Binghe into the Abyss, no way to make sure his disciple didn’t blacken into the vengeful protagonist he’d once read about, he may have panicked a little. A solid week later, after locking himself in the hidden section of the Qing Jing library and looking through every book and scroll he could find, he had a potential solution — not something that could keep Luo Binghe at his side, but one that could save him from the terrible fate of the original Shen Qingqiu.
It was a simple enough curse, something he could vaguely remember being used against one of Binghe’s wives in Proud Immortal Demon Way — it bound the lives of two individuals together, so that the harm done to one would be shared with the other, but only in one way. The wife, #578 if he remembered correctly, had her life bound to Luo Binghe’s by an enemy of her family, who hoped that the injuries done to the demonic emperor during his regular adventures, the ones that his heavenly demon blood would heal him from, would be shared with the poor wife character, killing her off. Then, her family would naturally blame Luo Binghe and rebel against him, leading to their own destruction! A surprisingly decent plan, cor Airplane-Shooting-Towards-The-Sky at least, but it had obviously failed when Luo Binghe had broken the curse through dual cultivation with the afflicted maiden.
Of course, if it was just dual cultivation that was needed to break the curse, Shen Qingqiu would have never even considered using it, since Binghe would obviously meet many of his future wives before he returned to take his revenge on Shen Qingqiu. No, it specifically had to be dual cultivation with the person the curse bound your life to, and he was sure that Luo Binghe would never accept doing such a thing with his old master, especially if it required him to take the position of —
Anyway! Shen Qingqiu figured the best time to place the curse was just before they left for the Immortal Alliance Conference. He wasn’t likely to get injured, and after the demons attacked, Luo Binghe would probably dismiss any injuries as from a monster attack he didn’t fully notice. It was simple enough to do, especially since Luo Binghe slept in the side room of his house — all he needed as a little bit of blood and a little bit of time to complete it.
Things seemed to be going well — the Conference was attacked on schedule, although things had diverged a little from canon — really, Shen Qingqiu was a bit glad that his Binghe didn’t have his first time with a girl who was actively dying, that was really more coercion than consent. Things only went wrong, when instead of the monster that was meant to appear to break Binghe’s seal, Mobei-jun himself appeared from the Abyss. Shen Qingqiu fought him, ordering Luo Binghe to stand down — but then Without-A-Cure flared up, and the moment he faltered, he felt his body be pierced by spears of ice, and heard a cry of pain from behind him.
He turned his head to see Luo Binghe, his sword in hand, and with blood staining his pure white robes, looking at Shen Qingqiu with an expression of horror on his face. It wasn’t meant to happen so soon, not like this. Shen Qingqiu could barely process the image before he was thrown — right into a tree — as Mobei-jun turned his attention to the half-demon disciple. He watched as Luo Binghe had his demonic powers unsealed and Mobei-jun left, before staggering to his feet, Xiu Ya still in his hand.
When Luo Binghe looked up at him, fear and panic in his eyes, he steeled himself for the role he had to play.
“How long have you been studying demonic cultivation?”
Binghe tried to explain, but Shen Qingqiu couldn’t let him. If he’d already gone this far, even cursing the protagonist, shouldn’t he do the role of the villain justice?
“Did you really think I didn’t know you were a demon? Those wounds you have — they’re from a curse I placed on you, to make sure a beast like you wouldn’t betray the Peak. But now? Now there’s no other option but getting rid of you — Cang Qiong will be blamed for this mess, along with you.”
His heart broke as he spoke those words, but it was necessary — something he had decided beforehand. The break between them, the severing of their master and disciple bond, it had to be a clean cut. He may have treated Luo Binghe well, but turning on him out of nowhere would only make him suffer more. It was better this way, for him to believe that Shen Qingqiu had always hated him for the simple matter of his heritage.
Xiu Ya in hand, he pushed Luo Binghe closer and closer to the edge of the Abyss. Any surge of hesitation in his heart was ruthlessly squashed by the ticking timer in the corner of his vision, almost down to the last few seconds. He thrust the blade forwards, expecting Binghe to dodge, only for him to take the blade right into his chest. Shen Qingqiu felt his eyes burn as Luo Binghe slid off the end of his blade, falling backwards into the gaping maw behind him. When… when did it start raining?

Sobbing out your heart, as your lover refuses to even acknowledge you anymore. The anguish of knowing that every night he is in another women's arms, comforting her instead of the one who holds his offspring in her womb. Growing jealous of the attention he gives her daily. Growing envious of the qualities that she has and you don't. But of course she's the first choice. She's beautiful, kind, strong, intelligent, popular and charismatic. Nobody would ever choose you over her, not even your own partner.
Your heart will ache every time You hear their noises overlapping in the love making that You and Xiao did, 8 months and 20 ago. To think the father of your child will be absent possibly due to him raising a kid with another women hurt your heart. It hurt worse than any other battle scar you've acquired, even with the arcon war. He chose the traveler he's known for but a few months compared to the lover he's had for eons, battles or not, you where supporting him.
Sometimes Ganyu takes you to the mountains. She pitys you, attempts to convince you to leave for the better, but it never seems to happen. She's truly your best friend. You two will pick qingxin flowers together while you both relax. she's trying to support you, she's excited to see your child. She'll be deemed the god mother and auntie of the child. She already loves her niece to death.
One day though, you've come to realize you don't love Xiao anymore, you love the memories. And your feelings spark once more upon meeting a certain samurai, he gave you the attention you deserved, he held you tight for the last few days of your life. He took you on a date and visited you, he wrote you poetry and even cooked for you. You showed him spots in liyue. He even asked you to travel with him. And since your contract with Morax was broken, you comply. If Xiao could have another, so could You. He's had one for six months of your pregnancy. And you've known Kazuha since 4 months of pregnancy.
Except it doesn't go accordingly. On the day of your child's birth, there was casualties. The samurai and the beautiful cryo adeptus by your side. Kazuha looking worried sick, terrified, he knew you weren't going to make it. He was fully dedicated to becoming a step father for your child. Even if he didn't know you for eons, he fell in love, with you and your child. He was happy to step in as the father figure.
Ganyu sobbing, holding your hand begging you to not die. She has also been besides you for as long as she can remember. You're like family to her, a sister. Someone she wants to protect with her life. She too knew you wouldn't survive. She savored your last smile to her, telling her to take care of your child if you don't make it. This compelled her to break down entirely.
You did infact not make it, your child was 12ib. Too big, they had to do emergency surgery mid session. The samurai and adeptus, heartbroken next to your corps. She is holding your child, and he is cradling your cold body. Your child was named Xiu, meaning beautiful, elegance and grace. Kazuha taking the child into his own arms, swearing he'll protect it with his life.
All while this was happening, Xiao was taking Lumine on a date. He was unaware his wife has passed, his child was born. Zhongli came to also visit expecting to see the child healthy, which was right, but the mother wasn't. Zhongli sat in a moment of silence for your death, even shedding a tear that his beloved adeptus has passed. But then Zhongli notices something off.
"Where is Adeptus Xiao?" He says calmly. Ganyu explaining everything that Zhongli was unaware of. Zhongli's guilt crushing him. He was furious, if Xiao could stay so loyal to his contract of fighting for liyue, even when it was broken why couldn't he stay loyal to the contract of being bound as a lover to one. Zhongli assured that he would arrange to speak with Xiao soon on the topic.
Kazuha takes your child, He knows it is not his but is fully dedicated to it. He intends to raise her as his own. He knows Ganyu is a busy woman, and it's dangerous for Zhongli to take it in because of his contract with the Fatui. He is sad that the child will not settle for a while. But he hopes that it will learn quickly because of this and become strong, healthy and intelligent.
Xiao doesn't even realize the lack of your presence anymore. It has been two months, and this situation was only made visible to him when zhongli asked to speak with him. He invited Zhongli in gladly and asked what he needed. But when he realized the truth, Xiao didn't know what to do. Although the conversation goes smoothly and quietly, Xiao is dead on the inside.
Something inside of him just, fell apart. He asks about his offspring, about their location, the person they're with, where is your grave. And as soon as zhongli leaves, Xiao begins to panic. Rushing, teleporting to your grave, everything feels unreal. He fell onto his knees upon it, seeing your name under the tree on top of cloud retainers mountain. He begins to shake, and for the first time in a while, he lets out tears, he screams in agony.
Even this cannot compare to his karmic debt. He hears Lumine calling for his name but doesn't tend to her. He cried so much that he felt he couldn't cry anymore, as if he has sobbed all of the liquid out of his body. And by the time it was morning he finally left to look for his kid. He tracked down Kaedehara Kazuha who was heading to Mondstat. He saw his child in another man's arms and begins to break down again.
"Are you adeptus Xiao?" The samurai whispered softly to him, rubbing his free hand against Xiaos back while holding the child in his other. Xiao only nodded in response and holds out to the man who let him hold the baby. Xiao cradled it in his arms, crying hugging it and giving it small kisses on top of it's head. Telling Xiu how much he loved them. Xiao didn't want to let go. But he knew he had to because Zhongli and Ganyu entrusted Him with it.
Kazuha took the child back, frowning at Xiao. "I miss her too" was all he said before Xiao disappeared. The thing was when Xiao returned, the death of the traveler who died to a hillichurl raid was spread everywhere. Xiao managed to loose both of his partners so quickly. Although he believes it's what he deserves for being greedy and not being there for you.
