Summary: It’s your fifth anniversary and Minseok is on tour. On the other side of the world, he promised to video call you as soon as he gets back to the hotel for the night.

You wake after another fitful sleep, and turn to face the space beside you that should be where your partner sleeps. Instead, in his place, is your laptop, open and with your video call still going. Light snores escape his mouth, and you smile as you watch him sleep. You know that he should be waking soon, and you know that he needs his rest, but you are excited to talk to him, as you are every morning, and you wish he was here in the flesh.

“Good morning, Minseok.” You whisper.

You get out of bed after closing your laptop, quickly changing into your activewear to go for your morning run. Your meeting goes by quickly, and while taking your lunch break there is a knock on the door. You answer, and it is the mailman with a package for you. You pick up your phone for the first time since you started work, and you see a Snapchat notification from Minseok. You laugh, remembering the video that you had sent him this morning, and you click on the notification to open it. It is a black screen, with just some text written across it.

You smile at the screen, before tapping to close the photo on Snapchat. You know that Minseok would be busy by now, so you leave him alone and go back to eating the wrap that you have for lunch. The hour break goes by quickly, and it’s not long until you are back in another meeting. You close your work laptop after signing off, and take a deep breath as you stand up from your desk.
