Im still not fully 100% sure what specific voice headcanon i have for him (i think of rick hunter as the seperate demon voice, not actually his) but i imagine he talks kind of slow and really enunciates some of his words, he's been scolded for mumbling too much and people not being able to understand him, so he kind of overcorrected for it.

When he's getting panicked and his heartbeat gets faster his voice tends to speed up though, almost running out of breath before he finishes a sentence. Makes it hard for people to calm him down cause he blurts through sentence after sentence.

He's also the kind of guy who would see you looking at something he's interested in or knows about and would lean in to ask if you know what it's made from before he even says hello, coming off very strongly or off-putting with his foreboding energy, but he just. Genuinely wants to teach people new things.

dinner goes by uneventfully, but you feel uneasy as miguel chats it up with you. he had been too… nonchalant about the arrangement, but this was a new development. he wouldn’t ask you questions about yourself, but he somehow knew everything about you. it creeped you out. “if dinner is over, i should go home.” you stand, pushing back your chair.

he grabs your hand, “there’s no need to rush, (y/n)… unless,” he lets go and leans back in his chair, thinking. you freeze. “if you want to leave, i can always go to the board and tell them about your essay.” miguel shrugs and gets up.

“no! no… i’m sorry, doctor- sorry, miguel, i’m not leaving.” you sit back down.

miguel laughs, straightening, “you’re so cute, sweetheart. i’ll go get dessert.” he steps back into the kitchen. you grab your phone and text your roommate asking for help, but they don’t respond. miguel walks out with two plates of cheesecake. he continues to talk to you, asking about your classes for next semester. you gingerly answer his questions and eat, eager to finish and go home. you look behind miguel’s head and notice that the rain had gotten worse. if you didn’t leave now, you’d get stuck here.

“i should get going then.” you carefully place the fork down. “the rain is getting pretty bad.” miguel turns to look and you check your phone. still no response. miguel hums as the rain pelts the ground. he looks back at you.

“any minute now.” he doesn’t say anything else.

“ha, yeah. it’ll get worse any minute now.” you repeat and stand up. all of a sudden, your head spins. you stumble and grab your chair. immediately miguel is at your side, helping you steady. your head won’t stop spinning and you hear your words slurring, “fuck, i don’t feel good.” miguel picks you up with ease, holding you bridal-style. “put me down, please, miguel. i need to go home.” you feel yourself lose consciousness and lay your head against miguel’s chest, too tired and dizzy to fight.

💸 about my entrepreneurship class [emoji super related to the subject bc my prof almost idolizes jeff bezos /j]. we had to present a pitch about our project, and i endend up presenting it all by myself. and my pitch was chosen as top 5 pitch of the class!!! so now we have to improve it a little bit based on the given feedback, and present it again in our last presential class, in which our prof invited some important ppl and investors (best pitch wins entries for a very expensive entrepeneurship meeting). Idk why im so invested in this, bc i don't want to move foward with this project neither want the pize, and this is not part of the evaluation. But this is the bit of the project im doing all alone, so i want to show off my worth ig

🧳 also, i've made plans to go see my best friend in the first day of "holidays" - she's studying in a different city so we sometimes go visit each other's city, it's fun. Im really looking foward to it, i've missed her, and i also need to be somewhere other than uni or home, bc both places are tiring me out.

surprisingly i've been acomplishing around half of my "getting my life together" goals, which is making me really proud. [probably will post an update about it eventually]

I've been fairly productive everyday, it's just hard to manage it all when you have to finish 2 final projects worth half the grade of the respective subject + respective oral presentations, 2 lab reports, and 1 exam all in the same week. Pray for me yall.

bound by devotion in particular is a warrior cats themed adaptation of my main human oc stpry “forgive the lonely” …. the publicly known lore for both is pretty sparing and changes often but BBD has the most i guess Content thats available for yall to see :3 im not sure if i’ll ever write it as one concrete story due to the fact it’s still linked to my main oc stuff which i change often so i think its more of just a sandbox with a title lol

the basic premise is set in a mountainside forest. there’s 4 clans (valleyclan in the. well. valley, hootclan in the woods, leveeclan across the mountain and by a river; partially integrated into a twoleg town, and quarryclan by an old mineshaft) and 2 other colonies (a large unorganized colony of farmcats, and rogues in the town).

the story primarily follows snowhare of valleyclan and the abuse his longtime friend summerstorm puts him through, sabotaging snowhare’s closest relationships (his mate eveningsong, their kits together, other friends, snow’s siblings, etc) both directly and indirectly as summerstorm tries to isolate him and make snowhare dependent on him and finally fall in love with him in return. things dont go summerstorm’s way, though, so he starts resorting to extreme violence and secret betrayals to gain control over both valleyclan and his object of affection. snowhare is losing his grip on reality and struggles with paranoid psychosis due to the amount of gaslighting and emotional abuse he’s put through

there’s a theme about cycles of abuse throughout this story - valleyclan’s had a history of enabling domestic abuse by turning the other cheek, especially within snowhare’s family line (he’d been victimized a lot growing up, especially by his parents and brothers). summerstorm also came from an abusive family in leveeclan, his father and his own brothers perpetrating it before he finally ran away after his mother’s death. summerstorm continues the cycle onto snowhare, and even his ex mate rosewood, their daughter jaybird, and a few others in his life. but the environment that they live in treats it as normal at worst and something not worth making a scene over at best. snowhare isn’t innocent either, as he’s projected onto his kids a handful of times himself. he just knows how to apologize, unlike a few cats in his clan.

that doesn’t mean those cats are evil and irredeemable, though, as there’s a lot of gray areas just like in real life. theyve done bad things but many have learned from their mistakes and even made peace or gotten closure with the cats they hurt, even if they’re never friends again. summerstorm unfortunately isn’t able to redeem himself, having pushed too many boundaries, hurt too many cats, and still staunchly refusing to accept he’s in the wrong. ultimately his pride, obsession, and disregard for snowhare’s boundaries is what gradually leads to his downfall
