going off my previous ask, Step-dad Crewel who's step-daughter goes into a catatonic state. Her mind couldn't handle the trauma of loosing her mother,being practically kidnapped and held prisoner,and the fear. So it puts her in Catatonia. She doesn't react to anything,she stares into space,and she can't care for herself so often maids and nurses have to help her eat,sleep,and bathe.

Sorry but this would never never happen. While you can be found hanging around NRC you’re granparents are never so out of the loop. You go to the Princess Academy you just visit the campus occassionally. That’s what makes it such a treat when you come around. so i had a thought.

step-dad crewel whose step-daughter is terrified of him . Like she's never calm around him,keeps conversation's to a minimum,and just always seems one slightly raised tone away from a panic attack. Like she's been that way since he yanked her off the sidewalk and nearly tanned her hide and its been a couple years at this point yet she's still terrified of him.

And of course the constant stress begins to take a toll on her body and she often faints,has stomach issues,has break outs,and her hair is falling out. And despite trying therapy and medications,she's still just so scared of him.

I wonder how he'd react to that and how he would navigate that.

I also wonder how he would navigate his step-daughter just completely and utterly loosing her hold on reality. The stress and fear is too much so her mind forces itself into a false reality to protect itself. Perhaps her mind gets trapped at the mental age of a small child,or she has the illusion that her mom isn't dead,she's just on vacation or sleeping.

The thing is you aren’t particularly afraid 

You are an adult and while you may have been fearsome of him at his admittance to your mother’s demise

He doesn’t directly do things to put you in mortal fear

Aside from ordering his dogs to assault you with cuddles and kisses the moment your heading off the property

When he did first take you off the sidewalk it wasn’t with aggression but rather command

And when he threatens to spank you it isn’t in the nature that you’re hide is burning with pain

They’re light, more so causing your embarrassment 

You’re more mad then anything 

Doing things and saying things to bother him 

Almost like your acting out like a  rebellious child

Which he doesn’t crack in the slightest 

He’s a professor that deals with many students just like you

Aside from keeping you within his monitoring gaze he’s not very strict

In fact he’s quite nice as a parent

He doesn’t take your freedom away 

he lets you do the things you love

You can leave the house, he’s just either with you or you’re wearing a track and have a curfew

He keeps updated with you and gives advice

He praises you and tells you that ‘he loves you often’

Heck you can probably date as long as you let him sit in the booth over

But hey if you truly end up as frazzled as you are he’ll make an assessment

How would he react If he found out his step daughter was only pretending to be happy under his care after one of the newer maids accidentaly found her diary and brought it to him as she wasn't sure where it went and he read it. (I think he is most certainly the type to do that) And each Diary entry ends with something like " I guess I'll continue to pretend so he doesn't kill me too" and "I'm pretty good at pretending to be happy,I'm Used to it"

But all I can imagine is the reader being rebellious in every way she can. Crewel likes a color on her? She chooses the opposite. He encourages a hobby,suddenly it "Bores" her. Or he is walking by and he hears her venting to a fairly sympathetic maid about how much she wishes he would just disapear so she could get on with her life.
