YANQING SIX PHASED ICE THEORY (part 1)

We know that Six Phased Ice is, "It was a unique type of ice known as Six-Phased Ice a substance that adheres to Imaginary Law, meaning that external forces cannot change its form." - Welt in The Voyage Continues (trailblaze quest)

And that March 7th was sealed inside of this Ice for some time "Did Himeko tell you about March 7th? She was trapped in ice, floating through space. We happened upon her and rescued her." And "Whoever sealed her inside the Six-Phased Ice... No matter who it is... did so either to protect or banish her. I believe she had been floating through space for some time." - Welt in The Voyage Continues (Trailblaze quest)

We also know that because of her being sealed in the six phased ice, March 7th doesn't remember anything before she was sealed in the six phased Ice. "How did you get frozen?" - Trailblazer in The Voyage Continues (Trailblaze quest) and "I don't remember a thing. Who I am, where I'm from, my name... it's like everything was erased from my mind. "March 7th" was the day they found me, so it stuck" - March 7th in The Voyage Continues (Trailblaze quest)

We also know that the Ice that March 7th uses to fight is indeed the Six Phased Ice, this is stated by March 7th herself. "I mean c'mon, (Trailblazer), you've got a Stellaron in your body, I have my special Six-Phased Ice powers, and Dan Heng... Uhh, he's got that mysterious past thing going for him..." - March 7th in A Grand Cool Adventure (Trailblaze quest)

Now we'll focus on Yanqing for now.

Yanqing possibly has memory loss, as it is mentioned in game that Yanqing doesn't remember anything about his parents. And this wouldn't be weird because he mentions that "I never my real parents, I was raised by the General since birth" - Yanqing in his 'Yanqing's relationship with General Jing Yuan (character introduction) and "I just thought how I never saw my birth parents. I don't even know if they didn't want me, or if they're already gone..." - Yanqing's message to Trailblazer ((Trailblazer), SOS!)

So it would make sense that he has no memories of his parents because he never meet him. But his earliest memory is of General Jing Yuan teaching him and he also claims that he doesn't have many memories anyway. "But then again, I don't have many memories anyway, so... I'm okay. My earliest memory is the general teaching me" - Yanqing message to Trailblazer ((Trailblazer), SOS!)

And there a possibility that General Jing Yuan is hiding something from Yanqing and that Yanqing might not even be a Xianzhou Native. "I often see other children with their parents and can't help but wonder if the general is hiding something from me..." - Yanqing in his 'Yanqing's relationship with General Jing Yuan (character introduction) and "However, in the family lineage column, Yanqing's lineage was relegated to the category of unknown." - Yanqing's character story: Part II

Back to March 7th.

Since we know that March 7th Ice Powers are Six Phased Ice, let's have a look at cutscenes and her Gameplay which include her Six Phased Ice.

March 7th's Six Phased Ice Is Blue and Pink.

This isn't just shown in her gameplay, It is also shown in cutscene animations. Meaning it wasn't just a random choice. (This statement will connect to something later in the theory).

Back to Yanqing.

None of the other Ice characters shared these Blue and Pink Ice in their gameplay, expect for Yanqing.

Before anyone says "But it might be a coincidence-", I would like to go back to the my eariler statement "This isn't just shown in her gameplay, It is also shown in cutscene animations. Meaning it wasn't just a random choice. (This statement will connect to something later in the theory)", this connects to the fact that Yanqing's gameplay including Blue and Pink Ice isn't a random choice, as he also has Blue and Pink Ice in cutscenes.

yanqing abundance + origin thoughts/theory

so, i was doing whatever and a thought came to me (story spoilers also there's a lot of text)

i took a look around the loufu and realized something; all of the people had essentially every hair color except blonde. the only exceptions are people not native to the loufu, such as luocha.

yk. the one who happens to be ON THE PATH OF ABUNDANCE

and who else has blonde hair?

YANQING.

yanqing's origins are relatively unknown, all we know is that jing yuan found him somewhere and decided to take him in for whatever reason. in yanqing's character story, it says that it's recorded in the military annals of the cloud knights how jing yuan discovered him, but not where.

yanqing mentions in his character introduction how he was RAISED BY THE GENERAL SINCE BIRTH which... like. what. ok thats actually crazy bc either

1) jing yuan took him from his parents when he was like a day old or something

2) he was given to jing yuan (although, this is unlikely considering it was mentioned jing yuan 'discovered' him)

3) jing yuan lied for whatever reason (to protect him)

4) jing yuan indeed found him when he was born, possibly from a fruit of the ambrosial arbor

in the pic above, yanqing says 'but as you know, children aren't grown on trees." is this foreshadowing? or just straight up dropping a hint that his 'birth' was not a natural one?

the ambrosial arbor was inactive for approx. 2579 years before the sedition of imbibitor lunae. after that, the seals on the arbor were weakened. i haven't exactly worked out the specifics yet, but since bailu was created around 700~ years before canon and is still a little kid, and dan heng was presumably an adult/teen when exiled, my guess is that if yanqing has the lifespan/growth rate of a xianzhou native, he would've been born sometime in between den heng's hatching and bailu's hatching, a little closer towards bailu's. but what could've happened during that time? please hear me out the next part is kinda crazy

my guess is that during the tampering of the transmutation arcanum to revive baiheng (and presumably to allow other species to become vidyadhara, although the wiki gave no source... i'll trust it for now), dan feng and yingxing fucked up and created yanqing in a fruit of the arbor, while during the transmutation arcanum ritual, bc dan feng previously fucked with it, it failed and created bailu (and separated his powers between dan heng and bailu)

now, this seems... really out there. how the fuck would yanqing and bailu, a presumably xianzhou native/humanoid and a vidyadhara, be created from the remains of a foxian? i'll start with yanqing. it was stated that after baiheng's death, only a few drops of blood and a tuft of her hair remained. dan feng and yingxing created yanqing in a fruit of the arbor (like some sort of hatching rebirth... but a fruit) using either the blood or hair (most likely blood) of baiheng. it was a somewhat failed attempt at reviving baiheng. yes, it created life from her remains, but it was not her (think how dan heng ≠ dan feng, and also how vidyadhara can be different genders than their previous incarnation). during the time he was in the fruit, it dyed his hair and eyes blonde/gold, and also created the ring around yanqing's eyes (his is unique, the other characters' eye rings if they have them are a lighter color while his is dark, yes ik silver wolf has it too but her's is different).

before bailu's hatching and after subduing jingliu, jing yuan eventually came across the fruit yanqing was being held in, or found him wandering about, probably recognized the blonde/gold as the effects of the abundance, and took him in because dude he's not going to kill a literal baby (even if he could). he knew it would be dangerous to give him to a regular family, so he took him in and trained him himself

although he is not baiheng, he did take on aspects of baiheng's personality, such as her free will and even laughing/giggling while in battle. he also enjoys flying (although with his swords and not starskiffs) and even has eyelashes similar to her's. and, just like her, yanqing's missions would often be dangerous, but he would come out relatively unscathed.

now, about bailu. dan heng says she was created after dan feng's ritual failed. if you take a look at bailu, she strongly resembles baiheng, and even starts with the same 'bai'.

same hair, same eyes, similar eyelashes, she even has a similar eye ring to yanqing. there's not too much to say here. while yanqing got baiheng's personality and fighting spirit, bailu got her appearance. now, why did this happen? im thinking its because of dan feng's meddling with the transmutation arcanum. because of that, yanqing was born, but it was 'incomplete'. so while yanqing got one part of baiheng, bailu got the other. yanqing was made on purpose, while bailu was somewhat of an accident. maybe some of baiheng's 'life' from yanqing's creation was still there when bailu was created? idk

the funny thing is, their paths are like... the complete opposite. yanqing follows the hunt (although he was born of the abundance) and bailu follows the abundance (although she was presumably supposed to follow the destruction or hunt).

theory tldr; dan feng and yingxing fucked up and created yanqing and bailu out of baiheng's remains

this is a yanqing post, time to get back to yanqing. hooray! i took a closer look at yanqing's outfit, and noticed numerous leaf/plant symbols.

...which are closely associated with the abundance. especially the gold leaves.

this further solidifies my belief that yanqing has something to do with the abundance.

What's up with me liking the ice related character in a hoyoverse game that has so many lore implications.

About Yanqing

I was seen for the nth-time the cutscene in the companion quest about Yanqing and something about him doesn't vibe with me.

Mostly there was something on that scene that is turning my attention on him:

His ice is not just blue, we can see when he summons his ice-sword there is a pink aura around them

His eye, specifically his lef eye, glow

and it glow pink.

We got like three other characters with ice power, Gepard, Pela and March 7th.

Pela is more like a ice-laser, so we don't see the ice, Gepard actually summons a wall of ice that is just ice, blue ice. (I don't have a Gepard, had to search for a video on YT)

March 7th is the only character whose ice is bi-color:

and it was said is a special kind of ice, the sixth-phased ice.

Could it be that there is some kind of connection between Yanqing and March 7th?

Why does Yanqing's left eye glow?

It's impossible that they put this tiny detail and not say anything about it.

Jing Yuan's secretary says that Yanqing is actually a Vidyadhara, but I think she was messing with the characters, since on the character (Yanqing)' story lore says that his lineage "was relegated to the category of unknown".

We don't know if Yanqing is a born and raised Xianzhou habitant, if so he is blessed/cursed with a long life, but some part of the dialogues about him don't fit right. If he was a Vidyadhara, why hide him? If he was any other longeve specie on Xianzhou, like Jing Yuan, shouldn't he have more patience? Like, he probably have already lived maby years, but from the dialogue and how he act, he is mature from the position he has, but he's childish and seems to rush with the same vibe of someone who age normally.

Aaaaa, Hoyo managed to make every single character (playable) on Star Rail interesting! And while a good part of them are normal and there isn't much to know more about them, like most of Jarilo's party, with the exception of Sampo, Xianzhou's crew is all interesting.

We have Jing Yuan, Tingyun with her "interest" on the Abundance, Luocha the Sus n1, Yanqing with his blue-pink ice, Bailu and the Vidyadhara, Sushang and her potential, Fu Xuan, Yukong, Qingque, even the Jingliu, Blade and Dan Heng!!

Hopefully we could get a new update, this time with some Trailblazer Quest so we can go on on the main story and see what is happening, why there is so much characters here.

hsr: references to myriad celestia "cloud knights martial doctrine, on swords", interpretations roughly based on anything up to 1.4

(hi i don't make proper theories or analyses. i just scream my feelings into a void in a chaotic barrage of words.)

so i read into things too much.

i'm reading into these two parts of their myriad celestia trailer. how the two are divided by a pillar in the first one. how jingliu is shrouded in shadow.

then near the end of the trailer, they're both on the same side of the pillar. both lit by the moon and stars.

perhaps the two will meet again. are their fates not intertwined?

but why would they? well, yanqing has a goal to become the next sword champion. jingliu being the former one, he has a lot he can learn from her.

but it was jingliu who came to yanqing's side! it was jingliu who walked into the light where he stood! it was jingliu asking all the questions first!

why does she approach him and not the other way around? her past, her sins, her goals, the reason she wields her sword. as far as we know, they have nothing to do with him.

and yet she's drawn to him. perhaps through the lines of her adamant resolve to suffer eternal punishment, to destroy the abundance, and to wield her blade only to kill, escapes wistful dreams for something else.

Have some thoughts about the 1.4 quests, spoilers past the cut

So the IPC. They can get out of here with their capitalist bullshit. At least Topaz managed to make me sort of like her by the end. Leave Jarilo VI alone you mfs, come on!

I felt really bad for Bronya, honestly. She didn't have an easy decision to make.

Also, really wanted to shake Topaz by the shoulder when they were walking through the Museum and she was only looking at the monetary value of the exhibits. Ma'am, you do realize that this museum contains 700 years of history, right? ...right?

Also really liked March's new outfit! Very pretty. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but was that outfit supposed to be remenicient of Elysia? Or no?

Himeko showing up out of nowhere was a surprise, but a welcome one.

Also, are all of Topaz's colleages named after gemstones? Are they aliases? Wouldn't surprise me if they were.

Also, Also, Penacony and Pier Point. Topaz it seemed will be having business there, and Pier Point is where Silver Wolf is headed, in case anyone forgot about that. And something is absolutely up with Xipes followers "The family"

As for the Jingliu companion mission, omg.

Jing Yuan was totally about to say Luochas name was Otto Apocalypse. Also very curious about how Luocha came to be involved with Yaoshi. (and we still don't know whats in that damn coffin, Hoyo. care to share?)

Was wondering whether they were going to say anything about the Baiheng/Bailu theory. While they didn't say anything directly, the fact they had Jingliu visit her seems to suggest as much. They didn't have to have her visit a doctor on her tour.

High Cloud Quintet lore!! Also, it seems Jinglius idea of "Paying the price' is different from Blades. For her, its Dan Heng never being able to escape the shadow of Dan Feng, and for Blade its the curse of immortality and what that comes with.

Jingliu somehow manages to match, maybe even surpass, Blade in edginess. My god. She pretty cool though (pun intended)

Also not Jing Yuan being the only one who gave Dan Heng a choice in whether he wants to be involved or not. As cool as Blade and Jingliu are, they are pretty much actively choosing to not accept that Dan Heng is not Dan Feng. I think it was implied for Blade, but Jingliu was fully aware of the rebirth and still didn't, or couldn't give him that autonomy.

It's not that it doesn't concern Dan Heng at all, but whether he chooses to take responsibility for Dan Feng should be up to him and him alone. (Also f*ck the preceptors for denying a proper rebirth) He has autonomy, but is constantly being denied it by what feels like basically everyone on the Luofu except the Astral Express and Jing Yuan.

The fight scene was cool though. Wonder if Kafka was nearby at all.

Blade, honey, could you maybe chill for two minutes? I get you want to die, but I don't think going after Dan Heng is going to fix anything.

And thats about it. Overall a solid couple of quests.

A Bit Shy || Jing Yuan x M!Reader (Ft. Their son)

Notes: this was a silly idea i started writing a while back and decided to finish before i move on to requests

Was Yanqing going crazy, or were there several unfamiliar items scattered about the General’s office?

He’s been around the General for quite some time now to know that the coat slung over the backrest of Jing Yuan’s chair didn't belong to the white haired man. Nor did the expensive looking writing brush said man was now using.

Perhaps the General bought them sometime ago and is just using them now?

“Is something the matter?” Jing Yuan inquired, seeing the boy’s amber eyes lingering on the coat.

Yanqing quickly shook his head, “Nothing, General.”

“Have you noticed the new things on the General’s desk?” Yanqing once asked Qingzu, the counselor of the Divine Foresight.

“I did. It is kind of strange, they just suddenly appeared one day.” She replied.

After that, the boy went back to spending his day like he usually did, training, patrolling, the usual Cloud Knight stuff he’d grown accustomed to. But the thought still lingered in his mind.

“Have you heard? They say that a General from a different Xianzhou ship would disappear from time to time, more often than he usually did. How weird.” He heard some of the knights murmur amongst one another.

That was, indeed, weird.

What was even weirder, however, was that he received a gift from the General, that's been the topic of many rumors lately, later that day.

“Is this really for me, General?!” The boy beamed in joy, raising the sheathed sword up like a baby, marveling at the intricate design and patterns of the scabbard.

“Yes.” Jing Yuan nodded, smiling as he sipped his tea, “Make sure to write him a letter, as a thank you.”

Yanqing was too happy that time that he didn't realize something; why would a General he hadn't met in person yet send him a gift? And how did he even find out that he liked swords?

Things were getting even weirder and weirder as the days passed by. The items in Jing Yuan’s desk only became more apparent, the General himself had been much more sleepier during the day as if he was awake late at night, the clues only became more and more obvious.

It didn't help that he saw with his own eyes how the General bought several items that were commonly seen as romantic gifts for one’s lover, or for someone whom they want to court.

But then again, if Jing Yuan really was hiding something— or someone— why wouldn’t he spend even an inkling of effort to properly hide it?

Still, Yanqing had to see it for himself before he could confirm his suspicions. So, he decided that he would investigate.

Late at night, the boy sneaked towards the Seat of Divine Foresight. And as he suspected, the lights were still on with the Cloud Knights that usually guarded the place nowhere to be seen, along with hushed murmurs. The white haired General’s voice was familiar to Yanqing’s ears, but the person he was with wasn't.

“You wound me, darling. You know I can't hold myself back from seeing you.”

Jing Yuan hummed, amused, “Is that so?”

“Aha!” The boy’s booming voice pulled the secret lovers’ attention away from each other, quickly whipping their way towards the open doors where Yanqing now stood.

Now, Yanqing hadn't met you in person, but he'd be damned not to recognize you in the portraits he’d seen in books and online. The lieutenant’s eyes widened at the sight of Jing Yuan with you, the other General, and it turns out you’ve been missing because you were visiting a different ship!

The dots had been connected and Yanqing’s theory had been confirmed.

“Ah, would you look at the time…” You spoke up, swiftly leaving before he could react, you weren't appointed with a high position for nothing.

“W-wait!”

Jing Yuan lightly waved his hand with a soft laugh, “He’s a bit shy.”

The blond boy turned towards him, an eyebrow raised, accusing him, “Wait a minute, were you deliberately leaving hints behind so I’d piece it together and find out, General?!”

“Like I said, he's a bit shy.”

Ending note: i actually forgot qingzu's name so i had to open the game real quick and went back to the seat of divine foresight to check🧍

How SMELLY all the Honkai Boys are...

Here's my ranking of HSR boys based on how much I think they smell. Explanations + headcanons below the cut!

The Top Stinkers

Caelus literally digs through garbage for fun. I don't think I need to defend their spot as the #1 stinkiest mf in this whole game. 11/10 on the stink scale.

Sampo also has the energy of someone who enjoys garbage. I, for one, have no idea where that thing has been and I don't think I want to know. He is also known to hide in piles of snow when need be, meaning he's just out there rolling around on the ground sometimes. 10/10 would not sniff again.

Luka is the sweatiest man alive. But he looks SO good doing it. The sparks and smoke his arm produces, while very cool to look at, do not help his smelliness rating. 8/10 because he at least has good reasons for smelling funky.

I do not think Blade has ever taken a shower. You could fry a whole chicken with the oil from his hair. 9/10.

Boothill smells like a mixture of motor oil, grease, and sweat. Not a smell I would personally hate, but objectively not a good one. Yeehaw/10.

The Smelly

I feel like, in theory, you could smell like anything in the Dreamscape. I just also feel like Gallagher would not choose to smell good. 7/10.

I really want to believe that he'd smell good, but the second he finishes his magical girl transformation sequence, Imbibitor Lunae reeks with the smell of seaweed. I will deduct a stinky point from my initial rating because some people may think this smells good. They are wrong. 7/10.

Neutral Smelling

Yanqing should reek from all the time he spends fighting and training, but Jing Yuan is not letting that boy leave the house without taking a bath. 6/10.

Arlan bathes regularly, but I can't imagine him having a particularly strong smell. Asta will occasionally gift him some lightly scented soaps, though. If anything, he smells vaguely like Peppy. 5/10.

Gepard might get a little sweaty under all those layers, but he doesn't have a strong scent one way or the other. 4/10.

I Am Sniffing Respectfully

I just KNOW that the Astral Express has the nicest bathrooms in the universe. Dan Heng and Welt stay smelling FRESH. 3/10.

(Though Dan Heng has ended up smelling like bubblegum on a few occasions after borrowing March's shampoo...)

Misha smells like a sweet dream. I don't know what dreams smell like, but that's the only way to describe Misha's scent. Vaguely like cotton candy, perhaps. Ethereal/10.

Jing Yuan takes bubble baths with Mimi and you can NOT change my mind. I can totally picture him dozing off peacefully after a nice, warm bath. I-can-overlook-the-cat-hair/10.

We've seen Ratio take SO many baths at this point that I don't think you could find a single speck of dirt on that man's perfect body if you tried. How are his fingers not just permanently pruney? I hate him so much. 1/10.

I AM SNIFFING DISRESPECTFULLY

Argenti smells like roses and sunshine. 0/10 smelliness can I please bottle your sweat sir

Luocha has to smell great with all those flowers he summons. I would grind him down to make potpourri. Not sure about the coffin, though. -2/10.

And as for Aventurine? Cologne. SO much cologne. Whether this is a good or bad thing is up to you, but he certainly has A Smell. Subjective/10.

YANQING HAS SIX PHASED ICE THEORY!!!

March 7th has a special type of ice called "Six phased Ice." (This is confirmed by Welt and the other crew members).

It's shown throughout the game, that her ice (six phased ice) is blue and pink in her gameplay and and ingame cutscenes.

While rewatching the Yanqing vs Jinglu custscene, i noticed Yanqing's ice powers are also Blue and Pink. You might think this is a coincidence but it's not.

Both March 7th and Yanqing have the same blue and pink sparkles when/after using their ice powers.

It's less obvious when Yanqing does it though. But you can see it in some of Yanqing's gameplay and after he deflects Jinglu's attack in the cutscene, their are blue and Pink sparkles around him.

March 7th and Yanqing are the only characters to have the blue and pink Ice.

So it's very likely that Yanqing's ice powers are also six phased ice like March 7th. It's not just a one off thing in Yanqing's companion quest, both Yanqing's and March 7th's whole gameplay has blue and Pink Ice, even having the same Blue and Pink sparkles.

Yanqing's lineage (origin) is labelled as "unknown", which could imply he's not a xianzhou native.

Both March 7th and Yanqing have a lack of memory, March 7th mentions how she doesn't remember anything before she was sealed in 'a huge block of ice drifting through space" which we learn to be Six phased Ice.

Yanqing mentions how he doesn't have many memories In a text chat with the Trailblazer, "but then again, I don't have many memories anyway, so... I'm okay" and "my earliest memory is the general teaching me".

Also Yanqing mentions that he thinks the general is hiding something. "but wonder if the general is hiding something from me..." It has to be something important if the general feels a need to hide it, right?)

I dont think it's a coincidence that two characters with almost the exact same Ice powers also have a lack of memories.

okay guys hear me out. so the yanqing boss doesnt have physical weakness. but all the other human character bosses do. except cocolia but we all know what happened to hher anyway. but the non human character bosses DONT have physical weakness, such as the ebon deer svarog something unto death etc. this implies that yanqing is Not Human. play a shocked gasp sound effect now.

so now were wondering. what species IS yanqing then? well i have 2 theories so far. 1: vidyadhara. theres an npc on the xianzhou called qingzu that says yanqing is a vidyadhara, but a rat nibbled the pointy ends of his ears off. but i dont really think thats true at all considering she also said that jing yuan used to be a crosstalk comedian. but on the other hand have you ever seen a physical vidyadhara character before. didnt think so /joking and not serious

theory 2: he's got the same thing march has going on with the six-phased ice. this is already a pretty popular theory cause yanqings ice is pink sometimes and he also has a mysterious backstory. this would imply march is also not human which doesnt sound that far of a stretch

and now im going to just lie and make up a crack theory with no basis on it whatsoever. yanqing was a masked fool that accidentally got hit by a stellaron disaster and it changed his biological data (like the way silver wolf does it but by a stellaron) so much that he glitched out into a weird vidyadhara demon angel prince with none of the pointy ears or horns or anything and it threw him across the cosmos so fast, briefly hitting some six phased ice and absorbing it into him, that he hit akivili and killed them and then landed on the xianzhou as a little baby in the middle of the remains of a battle

I know it's called Yanqing's Happy Family AU but I can only imagine all that crumbling down if the Abundance Yanqing Theory ends up being true. Poor boy going to feel that all his family love for him was all for nothing.

Yanqing would be crushed!!!

He would definitely feel that he's ruined his family. They take him in and love him and in return, he is revealed to be a descendent of the Xianzhou's greatest enemy. I think if such a thing did happen in the AU, Yanqing would run away. He would either run away from the Alliance to live elsewhere like the Astral Express or the option is that he takes matters into his own hands and kills himself. To him, he is doing as a Cloud Knight. A Cloud Knight's job is to destroy all enemies of the Alliance and in his sense of duty, he would take himself out.

If news of this got out, it would destroy his family's reputation and would be a stain on their careers. He would see his existence as a horrible mistake and out of love and filial duty, seek to both hide the truth from everyone and ensure that it can't be used as blackmail against his family.

However, the Alliance's real worry is not Yanqing but the HCQ. There is no way they will allow the Alliance or the Ten Lords Commission to take Yanqing away nor would they allow Yanqing to kill himself. He is their precious child regardless of his origins and they love him dearly.

I think if that happens, the HCQ will take Yanqing and run away. I can totally see them joining the Express and traveling the world. They are free from the roles and expectations of the Xianzhou and are able to travel and explore the world freely with Yanqing by their side.

If we are talking about Yanqing and his family staying in the Xianxhou, I would write the solution as Lan interfering and putting a stop to Yanqing's execution. Even if Yanqing was made of the Abundance, he still follows the Path of the Hunt which is the Xianzhou Allaince's path. In Dan Heng's lore, Lan blessed Dan Heng's Path of the Hunt so I can see Lan interfering to help Yanqing.

yknow. i wonder if yanqing is "divine" in some way. i don't think he's halorian (despite the divine/angel/bird/wings/song/music theming) or vidyadhara (unless it's in a bailu "not originally vidyadhara but became so through Shenanigans) because the vibes are Off, but that he's something more like whatever luocha's got going on. like, yanqing 100% has a weird lineage because if he wasn't there'd be no reason for us not to know-- his entire bio parent conflict would've been exactly the same even if we knew his lineage. by pointing it out specifically, you're saying something, yknow.

the disciple of sanctus medicus said "you've come at the right time, little one. we can use your blood... to irrigate the celestial traces." and i... kind of read that as saying he'd replenish the aeons/the divine (?) with his death/sacrifice. in what way, i don't know.

the "heavenly blade's afterimage" title is fascinating to me. considering his connection to the garden of recollection/fuli via what looks like six phased ice, and march's connection and the theory of idrila = march, i kind of wonder if yanqing is a part of an aeon or related to an aeon, and both of them ended up in the garden & eventually without any memories in part because of their connection to an aeon.

Edit: Now that it's not late at night and I have my laptop out, I'm editing this so it sounds less like the ramblings of a madwoman (tho there's a limited amount I can do seeing as it is, in fact, the ramblings of a madwoman lol). Also formatting and clarity and any additional theories/headcanons/whatever I think of while editing this.

Partly crack, partly copium, but I've got some theories/crossover/au thing going on that I wanted to write down so here goes:

Crack/Copium/Theories:

All 3 of the trailblazer kids are actually "dead" aeons.

Stelle/Caelus: Akivili (Herta makes us LARP as Akivili in Hertian Realm and we're known as the Trailblazer while Akivili is known as the Trailblaze so idk I know the player character looks like Nanook but they ain't dead soooo...)

Dan Heng: Long (maybe the High Elder Vidyadhara is actually Long's own reincarnation but they have no idea bc memory wipe. TBH makes no sense for the Permanence to be dead)

March 7th: Idrila (this one's a bit of a stretch so bear with me. The Aeon of Beauty could be HoHe Elysia expy and March is also kinda Elysia expy so ??? And March was froze in ice without memory so it's totally possible that's Idrila's mysterious disappearance)

Also:

Sampo is Aha. He gives strong vibes of being a Masked Fool in canon, but I think it'd be funny if he's actually the Elation.

Pom-pom was created by Akivili to protect the Express after Aha blew it up. Pom-pom is also a proficient marksman. This is bc of some canon evidence alluding to Pom-pom actually being really powerful (Yanqing and Welt both make mention of it iirc) and the engine of the train looking like a revolver. (Also headcanon that the Astral Express itself was made from one of Akivili's twin revolver pistols. Perhaps the other has the ability to summon the train?)

Lan has not and will not kill Yaoshi bc yin-yang/life and death balance and also bc what is a hunter without prey. The Hunt had no issue killing the Propagation, so this seems like the most reasonable reason why the Hunt has been after the Abundance so long without killing them.

On aeons and the relations between paths (I might end up making a relationship chart?):

Death Aeons: Nanook is unnatural death (think murder, natural disaster, etc.), while IX is natural entropic death (like degradation from aging), Lan is controlled, balanced death (think like hunters/predators keeping ecosystem in balance), and Oroboros is the death caused by one's own greed (think pollution, overconsumption). Terminus is the end of time and final death of the universe.

Life Aeons: Tayzzyronth is overabundant life (think how invasive species population boom bc outcompeting native species for resources), Yaoshi is overabundant continuation of life (think unnaturally prolonged life), and Long is eternity (without change or growth, entropy comes for all).

Mythus and Nous are polar opposites in path direction. Akivili is midway between the two (to trailblaze is to turn the unknown into the known).

Some paths are directly at odds with each other (opposite directions), some paths have overlap (too much overlap leads to one path consuming the other like with Ena and Xipe), and some paths are neutral (running perpendicular to the others). Mostly this matters in relation to pathstriders who walk multiple paths, as it is extremely unlikely to find, for example, someone simultaneously walking both the path of the Hunt and the Abundance.

Hooh's is the ultimate neutral path. Akivili's is also a fairly neutral path, though slight odds with Mythus's (to seek to make the unknown known doesn't really work with the idea nothing can be known) and maybe Aha (just bc Aha is a jerk and like Herta said, surely Akivili would've taken offense to Aha blowing up the Express). Idrila, Xipe, Fuli, Aha, and Qlipoth also have relatively neutral paths, though Qlipoth and Fuli are at odds with Nanook and Mythus. Xipe sometimes does not get along with Aha, if Aha is being particularly antagonistic.

Crossover/AU (Genshin):

Traveler and twin are Akivili (one soul two bodies, don't think too hard about it). Akivili is presumed dead by HSR universe bc Sustainer of Heavenly Principles imprisoned Akivili on Teyvat (a world at the fringes of the known universe/Yggdrasil/Irmunsul/Imaginary Tree). Claiming that they are siblings is far easier to explain than that they are two halves of the same god.

Zhongli/Morax is a high elder (do non-high elders have the ability to turn fully into dragons? are there any high elders who are not Dan Heng? idk) vidyadhara who arrived on Teyvat shortly before rebirth. Idk weird Teyvat magic or something made his rebirth cycle this time 10x longer than normal (should only be 600-700 years between rebirth and he's canonically 6000 years old). He is unaware of anything HSR related bc memory wipe from rebirth and nobody around to explain things.

The Imaginary Tree in HI3 and HSR and Irminsul in Genshin are the same tree (Yggdrasil), but some may only be branches of the other
