Gabriel Enjolras walked into the classroom, already nervously drumming on his thigh as he looked around with a gulp at all the strangers. Blessedly, he saw a familiar face and immediately made for them. He vaguely knew the boy from seeing him when his father met up with his friends but they had never really talked. He walked up awkwardly, clearly hoping to stick to the boy like glue. "Hi."

Courfeyrac really wasn’t excited about school, he’d struggled enough with trying to learn at home, and the idea of struggling even more in front of loads of people terrified him. But when he saw a familiar face he grinned excitedly. “Hello! You’re Monsieur Enjolras’ son right? I’m Leonardo!”

oh boy,,,,,,i mean, they're the classic, aren't they? i know i'm not saying anything particularly mind-blowing when i say they inspire each other and push each other to their limits and beyond them, and that they are literally each other's motivation to improve

that said, outside the realm of soccer specifically, i feel like they still carry that rivalry with them? and probably apply it to literally every aspect of their lives/relationship. u know they're out here battling over who can wash dishes the fastest or which one sae likes better lmao

i think too that rin oddly is the slightly more well-adjusted one? in that i feel he's had time and practice with reining in his uhhh destructive tendencies (see: the years he spent trying to replace sae on their school team) and channeling them elsewhere (horror media lmao) while i feel like isagi didn't really get that practice - he just awakened to his horrific behavior and then was very strongly encouraged to keep being as awful as possible lmao so i feel like outside blue lock, he can come across unexpectedly cruel or thoughtless? which while rin doesn't necessarily volunteer cruelty/thoughtlessness, he definitely encourages/plays into isagi's lmao like he doesn't think there's anything wrong with what isagi's saying he just doesn't say it first yk

anyway as for the two of them together, i feel like rin's the type to notice more when it comes to just...general life? notices the way isagi takes his coffee or which shirts he favors, etc, while isagi's more attuned to rin on the field than off it. he strikes me as a bit oblivious? unless he's very specifically focused on something about rin with like, intent. but i think in passing, he doesn't tend to notice little things or habits the same way rin does

normally i'd be inclined to throw rin into the yappee role between him and literally anyone else but i feel like the only things isagi's gonna be a yapper about are soccer related and rin has OPINIONS on that so i think they end up in yapper/yapper mode more often than not lmao

hmmm what else. ohhh classic yeah i think isg fell first/rin fell harder - isagi fell in love with rin's soccer (which is basically the same for him as falling for the person lmao) and rin took a long time to come around to even acknowledging isagi, but i feel like the second he opened the floodgates, isagi-feelings hit like a freight train. he strikes me as uhhhh wanting to cuddle isagi all the time. like a big stuffed animal. and like he prefers non-verbal expressions of affection generally. i think isagi's probably similar in that regard but less out of "saying emotions is mortifying" but more like "huh? wait, you wanted me to say that out loud? that didn't even occur to me that you might not Already Know Somehow" (esp with rin, who he just...assumes knows everything already)

they're so silly to me!!!!!! i feel like bart wants to stay in place but just cannot stay still when he's excited so kon helps keep him in place so that everyone is happy!
