House MD hot takes

-Transmasc Chase > Transfemme Chase. Obviously everybody's headcanons are VALID AF but I feel like the only reasons people give is that "he likes to be pretty" when trans dudes can be pretty too :(. I can see both sides but transmasc chase just makes a lot more sense to me. I could write an essay.

-Wilson isn't autistic. He didn't "match House's autism UwU". Don't get me wrong there's definitely something going on up in that man's brain, but I'm thinking more on the mental health condition/personality disorder range than autism/adhd/etc.

-Foreman is sort of the least compelling member of the original team? I'm almost to the Taub/Thirteen/Kutner arc and so far I just haven't seem that much from him? I think House only hired him out of genuine respect as a doctor, which great obviously but not as interesting. He remains the same stoic, respectable doctor the whole time which is fine but not as interesting to watch as Cameron and Chase, with their "moral compass so strong it explodes" and "opportunistic traumatized yes man attitude" respectively. He's great as a guy, but just okay as a character. tbh I think the Euphoria episodes were made for the sole purpose of adding interest to the character.

-House was probably exactly the same before his injury, just not high all the time. I feel like that actually been emphasized in the show, but I always hear people talking about how he was probably much sweeter and a more lighthearted asshole beforehand and I think he just wasn't? People are allowed to have congenital jerkassery. I think he would still be a jerk even if he had a perfectly normal childhood.

-In a similar manner, I don't think House is as manipulative and cunning as people who view him as an edgy sigma tumblr sexyman like to think. I mean, obviously he is, but I think some of the stuff he says isn't with manipulative intent. I think he just genuinely lacks a social filter. He isn't Light Yagami for gods sakes.

-I doubt House and Wilson have ever fucked. SORRY. I'm a huge Hilson shipper but I just don't think it happened. pre series ending (yes I do know how it ends), even when they were living together, there was more important things for both of them, both in and out of their relationship. Also, at this point I'm guessing they both considered themselves heterosexual. It could have happened after the series ended I suppose because at that point I'm pretty sure they realized they were in love with each other, but Wilson was probably too busy dying of cancer.

-Start with Chase, end with Chase. I don't think Chase was very religious after he left the Catholic church. I mean he still sees himself that way which is valid and on the wiki and stuff, but I think most of his actions that point to that, like delivering last rites to a dead baby, are a byproduct of trauma if anything (trust me because religious trauma)

I attract the most handsome, intellectual, kind-spirited men. And although things don't always align completely (or quickly), I use this data to understand myself more. I use their collective gaze to gain knowledge about a general outside perception of the self I present to others. I consider myself someone with a pretty balanced self-esteem, but I think I'm perceived (by them) as more beautiful than I see myself as. I feel it goes deeper than just looks. Hey guys! I thought this would be a nice way to make a more...evenly (?) formatted masterlist or sorts.

So in this essay I will...

This is just a nice compilation of everything, but also including my mini introduction and details on my ask section and future projects!

So, first things first, hi. It's me, your boy—

The name's Pluto, or just Abby if you're more comfortable with a "normal" sounding name. You can use either, to be honest. I'm twenty-three at the time of writing this (2024).

I'm afab non-binary, so born a female but I don't really care how I'm addressed.

I don't really think adding my sexuality here matters, but right up-front I'm demisexual, which basically means (at least for me) that you're only sexually attracted to people whom you've formed an emotional bond with. So you can't just find a stranger on the street and go "let's bang" or "hey, date me". It's both sexually and romantically my mind-state (but also commitment issues– that's a different can of worms though).

Other than being demi, I'm also bi with a masc preference (I've said i was pan for the longer, but I'm going to be honest here...My definition of attractive is just hot masc people. So I'm either one with a masc preference. Regardless of your gender, if you're masc, I'm chill).

(You're going to see this ^ divider a lot, I apologize but I really like it)

Now on the the asks portion of this!

So my asks (which I called "The Fields of Asphodel" to keep on with my theme) are for whatever you want, if I'm honest.

If you're going to request a certain type of dribble or even mini-oneshot idea, please be respectful and if I can think of something to write for it, I'll definitely do it!

If you do make a request, just be patient. It may take a few days after your ask, since I do have a job and I tend to be pretty forgetful, and will put off stuff until I can no longer push them aside.

I will write 18+ requests, but i do have limits. Also, if you're under 18, i won't tell you what you can and cannot read, however...Just don't comment on a smut and say "I'm reading this and blah blah", you know? I won't police underaged people who read smut, because I was a kid at one point and I also read smut when I clearly wasn't supposed to, so I don't see the problem with it. Just don't let me know, because I will feel uncomfortable.

Anyway, right, the limits.

So, I won't write anything with watersports (so golden showers, scat, etc.), i find it difficult to write a dom reader so it's not a limit but this is more so a "i can't do this", I won't do a mommy kink (sorry to all yall mommys out there), knife play is a limit when it comes to physically hurting the reader (but if it's just cutting clothes off then that's fine), I'd like to add action as a limit (by this i mean fighting scenes, i can't write them to save my life), angst is okay but I won't do major character deaths (this just means I won't do the reader or any love interest dying, even if they're not the main character of the request) — any angst i write will have a happy ending because I don't like hurting my characters but I can make you cry <3, I also find it difficult to write yanderes (but i will try), and, honestly, I can't think of much else right now but if I discover anymore, I'll come back to this to add them to it!

Other than that, I do want to say that none of my writing is discontinued so far! I may not be currently working on stuff, but it's still in the back of my mind and I will write it eventually. 💜

I'll try my best to write as much as I can (while also chilling out and playing some games on the side), so hopefully I can have my tropes mini-series written and I can work on my fate one since it's the one I've been waiting for the most!

But also so I can update Divisa since I know it's been so long since the last update and I don't want people to forget about it.

I lovee making a bunch of stories in the same world and then connecting them via character realtionships, like one story is set in the afterlife where one of the characters had a kid before they died and another story has that kid as an important character, that kinda stuff

The hardest part hadn’t been sneaking into the hotel Red Bull was staying at, no, the hardest part was finding the room number Liam had texted him. Jack had passed 345 three times so far but hadn’t seen 346 anywhere. Who came up with a floor plan that magically skips 346 and 347 and put 348 next to 345.

After walking down a hall he hadn’t previously seen, that made him feel like he was about to get murdered by some 80s horror movie killer, he finally, after way too much time, found the room.

He used the key card Liam had discreetly put into his pocket during the drivers meeting today to open the door and wasn’t particularly surprised when the room was empty. The old school rap coming from the bathroom clued him in on where his boyfriend was.

Knowing Liam, he was probably gonna take a while, so Jack made himself comfortable on the bed. He must have fallen asleep, because the next thing he noticed was a warm figure laying down on top of him.

Liam grinned down at him, face only a few centimeters above him. “Hey, hot stuff” He leaned down to kiss Jack on the mouth. Letting his hand roam his boyfriend’s back, Jack noticed he wasn’t wearing a shirt and only the grey pair of sweatpants that were his once upon a time if the fact that they hung loosely around Liam’s waist was anything to go by.

Jack grabbed Liam’s waist, flipping them around before Liam could realize.

“Hey!”

Jack leaned down to kiss him as an apology. Liam pouted, moving his head so Jack hit his cheek instead of his lips. The Red Bull driver loved to act all tough and strong but secretly folded like a lawn chair whenever Jack manhandles him even a little bit. Not without acting pissed of beforehand.

"Get off me!", the Red Bull driver complained, sounding a bit out of breath.

Jack decided to let Liam have a few minutes of believing he doesn’t enjoy it, because the Red Bull driver had behaved so nicely today and didn’t bite a single reporter’s head off. After a few minutes of Liam evading his kisses trying to wiggle out from under him, Jack got tired of his boyfriend’s shit, gripping his jaw and keeping him still so he could kiss his lips without Liam moving.

Liam’s body immediately went slack under him, giving up any fight he was putting up as soon as Jack counters even a little. That’s how it usually went. Liam needing comfort, Jack offering it, Liam refusing, and Jack insisting until Liam accepts it.

Liam whined into Jack’s mouth. The Alpine driver used this chance to move his thumb up from the chin to his cheek. When they separated Liam’s cheeks were bright red. Jack propped himself up on his elbows so he could look at Liam’s face better.

The freckles on his face stood out beautifully against the flushed skin. Jack kind of-maybe never wanted to look away. Liam seemed to have a different plan as he tried to escape from under him. Looks like there was still some fight left in him.

He placed one hand on Liam’s chest, adding enough pressure to force Liam back down. Normally, this wouldn’t be enough to keep Liam down, not with how much weight training he’d been doing recently.

The knowledge that Liam let this happen, that he’d easily be able to slip out from under him, if he wanted to, made Jack’s brain short circuit sometimes.

Liam, who was always trying his best not to seem weak, was okay with being vulnerable in front of him, borderline craved it sometimes and this might be the thing that’s going to kill him one day, with the way Jack’s heart seems to swell every time.

Jack feels like he was gonna explode.

Liam whined, only stopping when Jack leaned down to kiss him again. Jack moved his hand so it was resting just next to Liam’s arm on the cover, while he still held up most of his body weight.

Race weekends always keyed the Red Bull driver up and it all came to a head on Sundays, but right now Jack could physically feel the tension melting away from the man under him. Liam had felt like a live wire, vibrating and charged to hell and back. Resisting everything, just to be contrary.  Jack handled it like a bomb squad who’s been doing this for far too long and by had every step memorized, knowing exactly what button to push to get Liam to settle down.

And settle he did, eyes glassy, basically melting into the covers.

Carefully, Jack lowered his body down, settling on top of Liam. He buried his face in Liam’s neck, breathing slowly and trusting that the pressure and warmth would calm his boyfriend ‘s nerves.

He liked his job as a human weighted blanket. Even if he wasn’t as bad as Liam got, Jack still got sucked in by the chaos of the paddock hustle and he enjoyed the little tradition they’d established.

Liam tugged at his shirt, obviously wanting him to take it off. Jack complied, not without laughing softly. He shifted so he could rest his head on Liam’s upper body. The Red Bull driver’s eyes were already falling closed, as the exhaustion settled in.

Jack wrapped his arms around the pale torso and tangled their legs together after he’d stolen one last kiss. From where his had was positioned on Liam's chest he could hear his heart beat. It wasn’t long before he drifted off, feeding on the human furnace that was his boyfriend.

(If they almost missed their flight the next morning, that was between them and the taxi driver they paid extra to ignore all road rules (which they would never do again, Liam almost threw up in the backseat).)
