Some days I feel like I'm too tired to feel anything. And those are the days when my tears silently escape from my eyelids and decorate my face as a surprise. They remind me of the hundreds of tears that were shed by Allah's beloved Yaqub (as). And they remind me that if my faith is in Allah, then even my weakest moments are my strongest ones.❤️‍🩹

Grief upon grief...
I now understand why Yaqoob AS said, "I complain of my grief only to Allah." I understand why sometimes it's necessary to share with Allah alone.
Yaqub AS lost his beloved son. His family, his sons, the world around him kept asking him to move on. They kept telling him that he has left, and what is the use of crying over something that left so long ago. Why don't you move on?
But he kept crying, days and nights, weeks, and months, so much that he lost his sight.
The world thought he was at fault because grieving over something all life is displaying that you’re weak and lack faith and have no sabr. Right?
The world thinks you should move forward, forget what happened. They believe you're stuck in this situation because YOU DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, except crying.
But…. Yaqub didn't move on. Why? Did he lack faith? Did he not have sabr? Was he weak?
God, no!
He kept crying and couldn't move on because he knew something which the world didn't know. He knew the dream Yusuf had. He knew his son's future, so he knew he is alive. And that is why he could not move on. While the world moved on and blamed Yaqub for bringing a lifelong grief upon himself, Yaqub could not move on because he knew what the entire world did not know…
This is why Yaqub said, "I complain of my grief only to Allah." Because it's just Allah who knows my reality and why I cannot stop crying.
Yaqub was not weak. He didn't lack faith. He didn't lack sabr.
He was strong. He knew what the world didn't know and he dealt with it all alone, all by himself while relying on Allah alone.
So the next time they tell you to move on, forget it, it's been long, just let them go, ignore them. They don't know what you know. But be at peace knowing that your Lord knows.

here's to palestine:
why is palestine so important to muslim?
lets see..
Allah has named palestine as the "Holy Land and the Blessed Land” in the Quran. It’s mentioned in Surah Al- Ma’idah ( 5:21 ):
“O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back (from fighting in Allah’s cause ) for then you will be returned as losers.”
one of the signs of Qiyamah is a war against the Jews. if this is the war Allah himself called upon, its befalls on every muslim to fight on the side of Palestine.
2. many great Prophets of islam and great men were born on that oly land. Palestine was the birthplace of many Prophets including Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) who built the holy Kaaba, hazrat Ishaq (AS), hazrat Dawud (as), hazrat Yaqub(as), hazrat Sulayman (as), hazrat Zakariya (as), hazrat Yahya (as) and our beloved hazrat Isa (as).
other prominant figures like Irmiya, Maryam (as) mother of Isa(as), Samuil, Talut, Uzair and Yusha.
3. Palestine is home to one of the Sacred Masjid in Islam, the Masjid al-Aqsa. Masjid Al-Aqsa is the third holiest site in Islam. It was the first Qibla for Muslims. it is also the mausoleum of hazrat suleyman (as), at this holy site, he drew his last breath.
Many references from religious books have been given with respect to this mosque. As mentioned in Sahih Muslim:
“Isa the son of Maryam (AS) would then descend, and their (the Muslims) commander (Imam Mahdi) would invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say, “No, indeed some of you are commanders over each other as Allah’s honour for this Ummah”’. [Muslim]
4.
It is the land where Isa (AS ) will defeat Dajjal, the anti-Christ as its narrated in Mu’adh ibn Jabal:
“The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The flourishing state of Jerusalem will be when Yathrib is in ruins, the ruined state of Yathrib will be when the great war comes, the outbreak of the great war will be at the conquest of Constantinople and the conquest of Constantinople when the Dajjal (Antichrist) comes forth.
It’s also narrated that Prophet Isa (AS) would then search for him (the Dajjal) until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd (a village near Jerusalem) and would kill him.” [Muslim]
5.
Palestine was the site of the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
It’s clearly mentioned in Surah al-Israa, chapter 17 Verse 1:
“Exalted is He, who took His Servant by night from Masjid Al- Haram to Masjid Al-Aqsa, whose surroundings we have blessed, to show him our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.”
now lets see what Allah mentioned upon this inhuman activity, for indeed he knows the future:
The Jews, the people of Israel are cursed for killing their Prophets and disobeying Allah’s commands. Surah Baqarah [2:87] reads:
“ … But is it not that every time a messenger came to you, O children of Israel, with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant. And a party (of messengers) you denied and another party you killed. ”
Another verse from Surah Al-Ma’idah [5.32] narrates:
“Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul of for corruption (done) in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whosoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.”
Allah says in Quran, Surah Al- Ma’idah [5.78]:
“Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue if David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and habitually transgressed.”

Dear Allah,
When I complain of my child, remind me of the test that Adam and Hawa عليه السلام faced when Qabil killed Habil,
When I complain of my child, remind me of Nuh عليه السلام as he watched his child die in the waters when Allah ﷻ sent the floods,
When I complain of my child, remind me of Hud عليه السلام whose son refused to believe in Allah and remained with the non believers,
When I complain of my child, remind me of Ibrahim عليه السلام who was asked to leave Ismail عليه السلام as a newborn infant on the burning sands between Mount Safa and Mount Marwah,
When I complain of my child, remind me of when You ﷻ commanded Ibrahim عليه السلام to sacrifice his only son after almost 100 years, for Your pleasure,
When I complain of my child, remind me of Yaqub عليه السلام whose sons left Yusuf عليه السلام to die in a well, yet Yaqub عليه السلام held on to the belief that his son was still alive,
When I complain of my child, remind me of the mother of Musa عليه السلام, who was commanded to place her newborn baby in a bassinet and in the dangerous waters of the river Nile,
When I complain of my child, remind me of our mother Maryam عليه السلام, who gave birth to Isa عليه السلام alone under a date tree,
When I complain of my child, remind me of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who buried all of his beloved children in his lifetime, with the exception of Fatimah ‎ رضي الله عنه ,
When I complain of my child, remind me that until today there are people who are struggling to conceive.
🤲 Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, my child is an Amanah that you have blessed me with. I am grateful for this blessing, and I pray every single day that this Amanat will be the coolness of my eyes, as well as a bearer of the pillars of Islam.
Ya Allah bless my sisters who are praying for children with pious, healthy and beautiful children.
Ya Allah answer the prayer of every mother/guardian/parent for her child.
Allahumma ameen!

How beautiful is this analogy between Yusuf (Alayhi Salam) and the month of Ramadan by Ibn al Jawzee (rahimahullah)
"The twelve months of the year are like the twelve sons of prophet Yaqub. And just as prophet Yusuf was the most beloved to Yaqub, the month of Ramadan is the most beloved to Allah. And just as Allah forgave the eleven brothers by the duah of one; Yusuf, He can forgive your eleven months of sins by your duahs in Ramadan."

Beloved Youth Football Coach is Killed During Game — and Suspect Is Opposing Coach | PEOPLE
A disagreement between two youth football coaches in Texas allegedly led to a deadly shooting during a game Saturday evening. According to a Lancaster Police Department news release, 43-year-old football coach Mike Hickmon was allegedly shot to death by 39-year-old Yaqub Talib — a coach on the opposing team and brother to ex-NFL player Aqib Talib. @nowassemble enviou uma ask: “Where are you going?” ( viktor @ yaqub ) Some Questions Sentence Starters ( ACEITANDO )
Tumblr media
“Acredito que não seja da sua conta.” Respondeu sem nem mesmo olhar para o outro, já que seu foco estava em arrumar seus equipamentos para sair o quanto antes. Yaqub não tinha a intenção de parecer rude, mas também não tinha a menor paciência para lidar com o outro naquele momento. Não queria colocá-lo em risco, coisa que aconteceria se ele soubesse demais. “Acho melhor se levantar e sair também, não vou deixar você ficar sozinho aqui, sinto muito.”

Hmm I'm confused 😭I don't know why I'm sad without reasons, why I have a As As salam alaykum! heavy heart without any reason ,why i have panic attack without any reason, why my heart feel a lot of burden ,and how scary it is to feel like your whole world is falling on your shoulder without knowing the reason🥺 Heart heavy😢😟
I understand your situation. It's really hard to deal with this. But just know that you're not alone. Everyone is going through some kind of hardships. In fact sadness is a part of what makes us human. No living soul is unfamiliar with it; even our Prophets faced multiple episodes of sadness. For example, Yaqub (AS) wept until he lost his vision and even our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) experienced bouts of sadness upon the loss of his wife and uncle. Hence, sadness is not a sign of weakness in any form. To experience sadness is to be human.
Here I'm just writing down some points coming to my mind right now. You can try to follow them:
Talk to Allah when you’re alone. Complain to Allah of the pain and sadness you cannot explain. Keep asking, even if you don’t know what to say.
Seek human support as well. Discuss your problem with someone you feel comfortable. Maybe a family member, or a friend, or someone professional or anyone you can rely on.
Surround yourself with people who remind you of Allah simply with their actions. Through their kindness, through their humbleness, through their wisdom. People who make you want to live a life for the sake of Allah. Company of such people can give us perspective and lenses that we may have never used to see the world. See what motivates them, what drives them forward, how are they consistent etc. Seeing the practical life of being close to Allah makes it feel much more real and achievable.
Take a break for a while, from everything. Rest.
Try to read Surah Duha with translation. InshaAllah you'll understand. The verses will relieve you.
May Allah put ease and peace in your heart. And if you want, you can text me too.

A Beautiful Analogy.💗
“The twelve months of the year are like the twelve sons of Prophet Yaqub (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام). And just as Prophet Yusuf (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) was the most beloved to Yaqub (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام), the month of Ramadan is most beloved to ٱللَّٰه. And just as ٱللَّٰه forgave the eleven brothers by the du'aa of one; [Prophet Yusuf (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام)], He can forgive your eleven months of sins by your du'aas in Ramadan.”🌸🌙

10 Interesting Brazilian Fiction Novels
1.) “I Didn’t Talk” By: Beatriz Bracher
A professor prepares to retire—Gustavo is set to move from Sao Paulo to the countryside, but it isn’t the urban violence he’s fleeing: what he fears most is the violence of his memory. But as he sorts out his papers, the ghosts arrive in full force. He was arrested in 1970 with his brother-in-law Armando: both were vicariously tortured. He was eventually released; Armando was killed. No one is certain that he didn’t turn traitor: I didn’t talk, he tells himself, yet guilt is his lifelong harvest. I Didn’t Talk pits everyone against the protagonist—especially his own brother. The torture never ends, despite his bones having healed and his teeth having been replaced. And to make matters worse, certain details from his shattered memory don’t quite add up... Beatriz Bracher depicts a life where the temperature is lower, there is no music, and much is out of view. I Didn't Talk's pariah’s-eye-view of the forgotten “small” victims powerfully bears witness to their “internal exile.” I didn’t talk, Gustavo tells himself; and as Bracher honors his endless pain, what burns this tour de force so indelibly in the reader’s mind is her intensely controlled voice.
2.) “The Brothers” By: Milton Hatoum
Set among a Lebanese immigrant community in the Brazilian port of Manaus, The Brothers is the story of identical twins, Yaqub and Omar, whose mutual jealousy is offset only by their love for their mother. But it is Omar who is the object of Zana's Jocasta-like passion, while her husband, Halim, feels her slipping away from him, as their beautiful daughter, RGnia, makes a tragic claim on her brothers' affection.
3.) “Crow Blue” By: Adriana Lisboa
I was thirteen. Being thirteen is like being in the middle of nowhere. Which was accentuated by the fact that I was in the middle of nowhere. In a house that wasn't mine. in a city that wasn't mine, in a country that wasn't mine, with a one-man family that, in spite of the intersections and intentions (all very good), wasn't mine. When her mother dies, thirteen-year-old Vanja is left with no family and no sense of who she is, where she belongs, and what she should do. Determined to find her biological father to fill the void that has so suddenly appeared in her life, Vanja decides to leave Rio de Janeiro to live in Colorado with her stepfather, a former guerrilla notorious for his violent past. From there she goes in search of her biological father, tracing her mother's footsteps and gradually discovering the truth about herself. Rendered in lyrical and passionate prose, Crow Blue is a literary road trip through Brazil and America, and through dark decades of family and political history.
4.) “Child of The Dark” By: The Diary of Carolina Maria de Jesus
A first-hand account of life in the streets of Sao Paulo from 1955 to 1960, details the plight of an artist, writer and single mother of three children who, while living in a hovel, supported her family by digging through the garbage for paper and scraps to sell.
5.) “The Sad End of Policarpo Quaresma” By: Lima Barreto
Policarpo Quaresma - fastidious civil servant, dedicated patriot, self-styled visionary - is a defender of all things Brazilian, full of schemes to improve his beloved homeland. Yet somehow each of his ventures, whether it is petitioning for Brazil's national language to be changed, buying a farm to prove the richness and fertility of the land, or offering support to government forces as they suppress a military revolt - results in ridicule and disaster. Quixotic and hapless, Quaresma's dreams will eventually be his undoing.
6.) “Adultery” By: Paulo Coelho
A woman in her thirties begins to question her seemingly perfect life: she is married to a rich and loving husband, has well-behaved children and a successful newspaper career. Her apathy changes when she interviews a former boyfriend, now a successful politician.
7.) “The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas” By: Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis
The Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas builds on a macabre conceit—Brás Cubas, already dead, is recounting his adventures from beyond the grave. This vantage point allows Brás Cubas to talk about his life with the kind of blithe irony and callousness only accessible to those who have nothing to lose or gain.Jun 17, 2020
8.) “Lord” By: João Gilberto Noll
As Lord begins, a Brazilian author is arriving at London's Heathrow airport for reasons he doesn't fully understand. Only aware that he has been invited to take part in a mysterious mission, the Brazilian starts to churn with anxiety. Torn between returning home and continuing boldly forward, he becomes absorbed by fears: What if the Englishman who invited him here proves malign? Maybe he won't show up? Or maybe he'll leave the Brazilian lost and adrift in London, with no money or place to stay? Ever more confused and enmeshed in a reality of his own making, the Brazilian wanders more and more through London's immigrant Hackney neighborhood, losing his memory, adopting strange behaviors, experiencing surreal sexual encounters, and developing a powerful fear of ever seeing himself reflected in a mirror.
9.) “Perfect Days’ By: Ralphael Montes
Teo Avelar is a loner. He lives with his paraplegic mother and her dog in Rio de Janeiro, he doesn't have many friends, and the only time he feels honest human emotion is in the presence of his medical school cadaver--that is, until he meets Clarice. She's almost his exact opposite: exotic, spontaneous, unafraid to speak her mind. She's working on a screenplay called Perfect Days about three friends who go on a road trip across Brazil in search of romance. Teo begins to stalk her, first following to her university, then to her home, and when she ultimately rejects him, Teo kidnaps her, and they embark upon their very own twisted odyssey across Brazil, tracing the same route outlined in her screenplay. Through it all, Teo is certain that time is all he needs to prove to Clarice that they are made for each other, that time is all he needs to make her fall in love with him. But as the journey progresses, he keeps digging himself deeper, stopping at nothing to ensure that no one gets in the way of their life together.
10.) “A Cup of Rage” By: Raduan Nassar
A pair of lovers—a young female journalist and an older man who owns an isolated farm in Brazil—spend the night together. The next day they proceed to destroy each other. Amid vitriolic insults and scorching cruelty, their sexual adventure turns into a savage power game between two warring egos. This intense, erotic masterpiece—written by one of Brazil’s most highly regarded modernists—explores alienation, arrogance, machismo meltdown, the desire to dominate, and the wish to be dominated.

how does islam address sadness? most days i’m just sad
Sadness is a part of what makes us human. Having strong faith, or Imaan, does not render a believer to be an exception to the emotion of sadness.
Imaan does, however, equip us with the tools to combat depression and hopelessness. There is nothing wrong with accepting and acknowledging your grief. The strength of a believer is not that he remains strong by dwelling in denial or drowning in numbness, it is that he never loses hope despite all the pain and grief. That in essence is what true faith is.
you should try to keep yourself busy with useful activities, such as reading Quran and other books, and engaging in hobbies and so on. Do not forget some natural remedies that will re-energise you and help the brain to regain energy, such as honey and dried fruits.
and say this dua
O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your female slave, my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every Name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety). (Ahmad)
