Steve is one attentive boyfriend.

It’s the early stages of your relationship, the golden era, the honeymoon phase. And while you’re a still a bit nervous about it all, you couldn’t be happier, because he does it all right.

He knows your favourite snacks, what music you like, what makes you laugh, what makes you cry. He’s starting to figure out your ins and outs, and it’s almost crazy how quickly he’s catching on. You have no reason to feel judged by him at any point, he truly is comfort poured into the shape of a person.

So then why are you staring at your phone right now, struggling to dial his number and just tell him why you can’t make it to your date?

It’s not usually this bad, at least it hadn’t been for a while, so why now, of all moments, must you be forsaken to be terrorised by your period?

You bite your lip, laying flat onto your bed, hand over your lower stomach. It's right where the pain is just gnawing at you, just like the guilt is. But you know you’d feel even guiltier if you just stood him up, he doesn’t deserve that. You sit up, a tad slowly to save yourself from another cramp, and swallow your nerves for now.

“I’ll just… Tell him I’m sick. Yeah… Yeah I can do that.” You think to yourself.

The combination of his number had started to feel natural to your fingers now, unlike how anxiously you pressed the buttons the first time, triple checking before finally pressing call. You're triple checking again now, more so because you're not sure you can handle hearing the defeat in his voice when you tell him you can't make it.

The phone barely gets a moment to ring before he picks it up, and his all too familiar sweet voice comes through the device.

"Hey babe, everything okay over there?"

You pause a moment before replying. "How did you know it was me calling?"

"Lover's intuition." He chuckles, and it makes your heart flutter. It's not fair how easy it is for him to do that to you, but you enjoy it nonetheless. "So, what's going on?"

"I, uh..." God, getting the words out is like pulling teeth. But you'd rather die than let him think you just got cold feet about your movie date. "I'm really not feeling too well right now, Steve... I'm-- I'm so sorry, I'm gonna have to cancel for tonight." Your eyes are welling up with tears before he even gets a chance to reply, just imagining his pretty face losing its bright expression when hearing your unfortunate news.

"Oh," damnit, he does sound sad, "that's okay, uhm... Is there anything I can do? What kinda sick is it?"

Shit, he's gonna make you say it, isn't he? You know Steve is a mature guy, he knows about periods, knows how they work, but you've been told to suck it up and get on with it before... A part of you is still disappointed that you just can't.

"U-Uhm... It's more like, a stomach thing, I guess?" It's the best way you can put it for now, hoping it'll put his worries to rest.

"Okay, I see..." You can nearly hear him thinking, the subtle noise of bags being moved and a fridge being opened coming through the phone. "Uh, how aboouuut... I come over to yours, and we just watch a movie at home? I still got a couple of tapes we haven't gotten to, and I can bring some light snacks that won't upset your stomach too much."

The thought of Steve caring for you while you're sick sends a warm feeling through your entire body. God, how does he just keep getting better? But you can't lie to him, right? It's not like you're really sick, unless you count the curse of menstruation as a symptom.

Before you get a chance to explain, he's talking again, and by the ruckus in the background you can only guess he's rushing to grab all his stuff. "I'll be heading out in a bit, I'll stop by the corner store too, stay put for me alright? See ya in a bit!"

You're sure he didn't realize he wasn't letting you talk, but frankly, you probably couldn't even come up with a response on time anyways. Right now, you just have to worry about looking somewhat presentable, and maybe figure out a way to tell him you're not actually sick.

By the time you've brushed your hair and brushed some mascara onto your lashes, you're already hearing the doorbell. You just manage to pull a fresh shirt over your head, before stumbling down the stairs and stopping in front of the door. With a deep, loaded, sigh you open it, to reveal your boyfriend.

Hair messed up, plastic bag in hand, jacket haphazardly thrown on. He clearly rushed to be here, still panting a little, but in your eyes, he's the image of your guardian angel, your saviour in need.

Before either of you know it, you're crying again, your freshly applied mascara now leaving thin black streaks over your cheeks. Your hands go up to cover your face, embarrassed, not even sure why you're sobbing all of a sudden. The feelings just hit you like a freight train, rocking you before you even have a time to rationalize.

Steve's expression falters, the bag he had in hand dropping to the floor in an instant, stepping in closer so he can carefully wrap his arms around you and pull you to his chest. Not too tight, he doesn't want to startle you. He's a bit distraught; he's really only seen you cry at a sad movie scene before, so he's a bit unsure as to what's caught you to be so upset right now.

"I-I'm sorry..." you manage to mutter through your incoherent sobs and sniffs, effectively ruining the front of his shirt in the process.

"Hey, hey..." His big hands go up to your face, gently cupping your wettened cheeks as he looks into your teary eyes. Hell, the image of you is almost enough to make him break too. "What're you sorry for? You can't help it that you're sick, right?"

The reminder of your lie makes you want to break eye contact in shame, but it's hard to force yourself to lose sight of that soft, caring gaze of his.

"I," sniff, "I lied, I'm so sorry Steve, I-- I'm not sick, I just... I have..."

He watches you expectedly, not upset, just curious. You'd surely have your reasons if whatever caused you to cancel is making you this upset.

"I'm... I'm just on my period and it-- it hurts really bad, it's not even usually this bad, and I felt like I was overreacting and I feel so bad and--" Your ramble gets cut short by his chuckle, the same one that nearly caused you to melt over the phone earlier.

"W-Wha... Why are you laughing?" You're not sure if you should be happy or worried, you're already experiencing so much at once, it's hard to pick one emotion to feel.

"Nothing, it's just, well," he picks up the bag he dropped, opening it slightly to show the bars of chocolate, candy and your favorite chips inside. "I had a feeling."

The sight of it makes you snap out of your state of distress, and you can’t help but crack a smile through your tears. “Seriously? How?”

He shrugs, a sheepish smile adorning his face. “I told you, lover’s intuition.” He pulls you back to him and kisses your head. “There’s another bag in the car with chicken soup in case I was wrong.”

You both laugh, just hugging on your doorstep for a moment. You have to let it sink in, that maybe Steve just is that sweet and considerate of a guy.

“D’you wanna go inside, or does standing outside help with cramps?” He pulls back a little, and you fight the urge to poke him in the ribs for his sarcasm. You love it either way.

“Yeah, let’s go inside. We can watch When Harry Met Sally and I can cry my eyes out again. Sound good?”

“Sounds perfect.”

EVERY SINGLE TIME we have talked about how the racism in sjm's work affects the writing of her characters you guys have made it into an anti feysand problem, and by doing that you have willingly separated yourself from the problems in the story. the reality is that the racism affects the way these characters are written -- including your favs. do not dare twist the main message of antis to fit some twisted little point you want to make toward specific blogs. i have been on my last account for over two years and EVERY TIME i -- or any anti -- has talked about the way sjm's racism bleeds onto the text we have been undermine, ran off our blogs, sent hate mail. so yeah it pisses me off to no end to be sent the dumbest post in the anti tags to ever exist. yall do not care about her racism, her misogynoir. if you did, you wouldn't be calling people brain dead for daring to dislike your favorite ship for valid reason -- i.e. the racism. we talked about the complexities of how racist the portrayal of the illyrians were -- and we were dismissed as anti feysand and therefore 'braindead.' we talked about the way women of color and the allusions of FGM (female genital mutilation)-- and we were called anti feysands and then dismissed. stay out of the anti tags -- especially if you are the ones perpetuating these dynamics. i was ran off my blog for discussing these issues for two years. y'all sent hate mail, called me tamlin stan -- called others tamlin stans -- for even daring to discuss the racism in sjm works. that's not even touching the nehemia situation, or crescent city. fuck off the tags. you literally have a blog dedicated to this woman and her racist ass characters, you shoot down any criticism of them because of it, and then yall have the nerve to come into the tags for the some hehe hahah tamlin stan bs??? double fuck off. the anti sjm tag has always been a place for that criticism. always.

like do you know how crazy it is to write a group of people as permanently mentally stunted? to classify their women as nameless entities that our main character can shift in and out of to satisfy her supposed 'man of color' sexually? feyre cosplays as a woman of color for SEX, meanwhile in FIVE BOOKS we've met one named illyrian woman and shes described 'interesting,' but not as pretty as opposed to nesta and gwyn, mor, and feyre who are the prettiest people to walk the earth. that don't sound CRAZY to yall??? these people of color are left without leadership, without infrastructure, no access to a golden city, no access to their high lord, are forced to breed out warriors who live and die without ever getting to enjoy the city of velaris, the house of wind for survivors. all of that so that the maincharacters can live out that power fantasy. its racist. thats what it is. please think consider reading comprehension b4 yall make these gotcha posts because it really stinks of weirdness.

the illyrians are treated like rabid animals by their leaders, by everyone and then the responsibility is on them to somehow progress when everyone is unwilling to give them nothing more than scraps. like there's a real life counterpart to this, and yall arguments are very real and very damaging.

they are written by the author to be a permanent second class deserving of their position because they're minds somehow cannot comprehend any 'progression.' all of these characters including rhysand, feyre, mor, az, cassian, tamlin, nesta say racist things toward them because THE NARRATIVE thinks they're justified in saying them. like the moralizing is wild in this case bc all of them are allowed to get away with it. its not just tamlin or nesta, not just the valkyries (which is an ENTIRELY different scenario btw). like the idea that all of the bad can be ascribed to the 'bad' characters and the 'good' characters somehow don't feed into those racist tropes is WILD. rhysand literally told us -- the reader -- the in the war against slaves and their oppressors somehow it was an equal battle. like?????? somehow 'both sides were at fault' ignoring that one side WAS LITERALLY SLAVES. like can u imagine if someone looked at the Haitian revolution and was like....yeah the side of the oppressors was somehow on equal footing when the other side WAS ENSLAVED? how can u acknowledge this author is racist and then pretend that the racism only bleeds over to the characters you *shockingly* don't like?? yes -- there is a problem with feyre wearing illyrian wings BECAUSE SHES THE HIGH LADY. she made herself that title. of course that carries a different weight. the racism is ingrained in the text, not just some little trinket to flash when you want to moralize bullying a small group of people with strawman arguments.

Concept ! Imagine Matty and the reader are fighting and Matty (you know he can get real mean sometimes probably ) gets into that mode but the reader / girlfriend is suddenly meaner in a smart way like he doesn't know what to reply anymore then him hahah how do you think this would end up

Ooohhh… Yeah, I definitely think Matty’s smart mouth gets him in trouble in arguments. My dad’s kinda like that. Like he’s so smart and so blunt but sometimes THATS NOT WHATS NEEDED and he gotta learn when to shut the fuck up a bit, lmao.

I’m gonna just go off of something that Matty himself has admitted to. “I’m better at writing…”

So, like, maybe his gf is also a musician. Or maybe she’s a writer. Maybe she asked him for his feedback on something, but instead of telling her what works and what doesn’t, he starts taking issue with the very premise of the thing that she’s writing. “Well if that’s how your character felt, why didn’t she just- stop going out with this guy. It doesn’t make sense. The reader needs to feel invested. I feel no investment in this plot whatsoever.” He shrugs self-satisfied.

“I didn’t ask you about the plot, Matty. I asked you about the building that this scene takes place in.”

“Never got to that part. Got bored after the second paragraph cuz I wasn’t buying into it.”

She gets frustrated “thanks. That’s unhelpful.”

“I would say that’s extremely helpful! Saved you a conversation with your editors.”

“You did no such thing, Matty. Instead of meeting the story on its own terms, you completely re-wrote it. It’s not about why they continue to stay together! Sometimes things aren’t that simple you know.”

He’s staying cool in the face of her frustration which is her least favorite thing ever. It makes he feel like she’s overreacting even when she’s not.

“It’s okay to suck sometimes. I do it too on occasion. But you don’t have to act like that cuz you know my way is better than yours. Just cuz you’re a writer, doesn’t mean you shit gold. Not everything that you come up with is gonna work.”

He thinks he’s won the argument. He sits back in his chair, legs open wide, taking up the space proudly.

“Oh, I know. Sometimes I make mistakes. We all do! It’s part of the writing process. I just feel sorry for you cuz you live in such a narrow reality that you can’t stand the idea of someone doing things differently that you. Just because YOU would quit on a situation like that, doesn’t mean my character should. I’m writing her story, not yours. Art doesn’t always have to be slavishly adhering to your specific perception.”

He opens his mouth to reply, “oh yeah? If I’m so narrow minded, then-“ nothing comes to mind.

“I’m just gonna go work on this on my own. Thanks for nothing, my love.” She walks away and goes back to her desk. He’s just sitting there. His mouth STILL open. He blinks and tries to take in what she said.

Ends up pouting for hours. Stewing in his is. Rage. He can’t BELIEVE she called him narrow-minded. That’s the last thing that he wants to be. That’s why he works so hard at trying not to be judgmental and make sure he’s open to arguments. Then he realizes that he behaved in the exact opposite way towards her. He wasn’t open to ideas. He just pushed his reading on her from the get go, and when she got frustrated with him, he told her it was her fault for not being able to see things her way.

So he starts jotting down thoughts on paper. Goes over to her office, and is like “okay, I’m gonna read out loud from this thing so I don’t put my foot in my mouth again. I’ll stick to the script…” he apologizes, then he makes a calm case for what he thought needed fixing, why he thought that (respectfully), and what he liked. He’d begggg her to let him see her draft again and he’d be on his best behavior.

HI HI HELLO uh . i wasnt actually expecting sm1 to ask about my oc hahah anyway yyeeesss let me rant :))))c (there is lots of ramblings under the cut so)

their name is miharu amachi (if i accidentally say amagi its because its a typo they are not related to hiiro or rinne) pronouns they/them and he/him is ok for them too ^_^ they're like. i think 18 or 19 and they are an idol (yes they are an enstars oc) in the unit crescendo! which is an rp group im in with some friends :D ive drawn one of the other characters before (kiyama) and ive drawn miharu a couple of times too ^_^ (here and here) the colors are so inconsistent i need to make a character design. thingy soon < cannot because i am so busy all the time now

when you first meet them they come across as really calm and cool, and a little like an older sibling. they make sure that you're safe and as long as you are you can do whatever..! mostly. they are a very caring person and they want to make sure that everyone will be alright :D

SOME THINGS ABOUT MIHARU!! i sometimes will call them mimi because nicknames :) theyre mostly associated with green and they love plants. i dont mean like plants. i mean they LOVE plants. you go into their room you will see like five succulents on their desk and a bunch of hanging pots too. they love love plants.

SUPER IMPORTANT!!!! before being an idol, they are an actor! they've acted in plays and such since they were a child and only started doing films when they were a teen (id say like. 15? so they have like 4 years of acting experience) and with this theyve learned how to "act normal" around people so. angst potential anyone? :)

they also have a really nice singing voice! id say their voice is soft and smooth? yeah thats it. they mostly do harmonies in their discography also their dancing isnt All There but they are working on it !! they trip sometimes but its ok they know how to fall because acting 👍

sicne this is an enstars oc i have to say where they went to school! they went to yumenosaki for two years and then had an Unexplained gap year before they went back to the "new ES" < this is a premise/setting thing for the rp group its a whole thing basically the idol course is co-ed now and theres a new dorm building that crescendo is in and theres a whole nother event thats kinda like restructuring its a whole bunch i am Not explaining it well but yeah ^_^ its super fun weve had one session already and i cant wait for more

OOH OOH interactions with others... id say theyre more of a "go with the flow" type person? while in yumenosaki they were always like a backup / backstage dancer of sorts. their whole vibe is. backstage dancers and harmonies (both things they do) aren't needed to make good art, but they're nice to have! miharu isn't always needed but theyre nice to have :) i think a really important part of their character is trying to heal from what theyve experienced in the past (which is subject to change) and learning to accept that yes, you are an important part of this unit and we would miss you if you were gone!

okay well the pjsk au (Project Sekai Alternate Universe) is based off the mobile rhythm game Colorful Stage (Project Sekai)!! I'll try to simplify the game lore/whatever u call it..

PJSK CONTEXT:

Hastune Miku and the other original vocaloids (MEIKO, KAITO, Megurine Luka, Kagamine Len & Rin) are all established vocaloids in the real world, where the 20 in game 'ocs' are established.

There is this concept of Sekais; i describe it as a pocket dimension based on everyone's individual's soul/feelings. Pretty sure everyone has one of their own where it conceptualises a character's.. character.

But that isnt the main focus! The main focus of the game is the collective Sekais made by a group of characters! For example, Mafuyu, has created an 'empty sekai'; a pocket dimension -accessible through technology (mainly phones)- that is an empty ground sprinkled with a few boring abstract structures, etc. It is a sekai created by her strong feelings of emptiness specifically, but moreso that fits with the rest of the group she is in. The sekai can change some aspects during Mafuyu's self discovery with the help of her friends :3

Every group in the game consists of 4 members, all connected through music. Groups are: Leo/Need (School Sekai), More More Jump! (Stage Sekai), WonderlandsxShowtime (Wonderland Sekai), Vivid BAD Squad (Street Sekai) and Nightcord at 25:00 (Empty Sekai)

Anyway, every conjoined?? group sekai is greeted by a MIKUUU we love miku ily miku- Every Miku is different!! In the Empty Sekai, we see a very mellow, confused, empty Miku with a design that fits within the theme. This is also brought upon the other vocaloids! They all have different designs and personalities that are definitely supposed to mirror a different character in the group, however they may enter the sekai when events are made for a certain vocaloid to come and help a character/s :)

I guess you could say that each virtual singer has a main focus on a specific sekai? Luka is with Leo/Need, Rin is with MMJ, Len and MEIKO with VBSquad (fuck them for giving two vs and none to N25 grrrrrrrrrr) and yeah you could say Miku leads empty sekai but she kinda does the same with the other sekais

Street Sekai (ninjago ver) is where Lloyd, Brad, Kai and Nya are grouped together as a team of vocals/dancers! in porject sekai, there are two pairs of characters that join up as one to beat an old street group as their main motivation. Lloyd and Brad, Kai and Nya are the pairs that join up as the current group ^w^

As for the virtual singers residing in the sekais, im thinking of just making some subcharacters in ninjago the vocaloids! Skylor is the placeholder for MEIKO :) i think they fit perfectly.. MEIKO in the street sekai has a coffee shop and Skylor would have a ramen shop... like cmon.. GRRR scrunches them all up..

as for the other groups.. idk but i def wanna make sally either an idol or in a school band.. but ugh.. darkleys school band.. but i want lloyd and brad to be in a street group.. the agony..

Some bizarre pacing some bizzare writing choices but I liked it overall. anyways over winter break out of nowhere I got manga spoilers on my tiktok for Agni’s death and. It emotionally devastated me bc I loved him sm bc of the like one ep in 2 where he appeared. i told my roomie that and we decided to like actually watch the good parts of the anime so I could get a taste of the actual plot (and eventually we watched s1 lmao)

so yeah that bit didn’t impact me as much when I actually read it but 😭 Agni I miss you dearly you’re like one of the only people I’d trust to hold my drink in this series I KNOW you would take care of it and not spill anything. Also, I read the entire (post campania) manga while procrastinating studying for my organic chemistry exam bc chemistry is a pain in the ass and I didn’t want to look at it

An overview is more than ok!

Hmmmm...I'm trying to think what my process even looks like, hahah. idk if this will even make any sense but here we go

I'm mostly interested in "intimacy" I guess? i think thats usually easier to see in blurbs and one shots than, like, longer things like "Education" or that multi chapter fic. But I genuinely find people really interesting and the idea of a close romantic relationship where both people's flaws, passions, insecurities, all come out is extremely fascinating to me, lmao. A lot of the time it's two people trying to love each other but in completely different ways, and misunderstandings inevitably happen.

Not to get all existential on y'all but like isn't it insane that we are all just...trapped in our own bodies and consciousness. and that love is the only way that we can escape that and exist with/for/alongside someone else? Idk i think thats just so cool. Matty says it more eloquently than me in "Inside Your Mind." it's basically that stuff....

BECAUSE im interested in intimacy I'll usually try to start out with a specific, concrete example. Like, if someone asks for an angst concept where an argument happens, or if im trying to write the next installment of Education, I try not to think about it in terms of genre like "ok time to write angst." instead, I try to think "if an argument were to happen between Matty and someone he loves, what would it be about? what kinds of things would he be unwilling to budge on."

so, like, that last piece I wrote where they argue about the new show etc. That's how that one happened. I couldn't imagine him being legitimately upset about like dinner or laundry or an outing, not enough to start a fight because of it. Idk...he just doesn't strike me as the kind of person who cares THAT MUCH about simple stuff. BUT he does care A WHOLEEE LOT about every tiny detail of his show and chooses everything for a specific reason and with a specific goal in mind. So, if someone were to have an issue with his art, of course it would become an argument, cuz his work is a reflection of himself. And since he's been under fire this year about the limits of irony and some fans online (even here on tumblr, ive legit gotten asks about this) have been like "ugh i hope he doesn't do the whole acting thing again" I imagine thats a legit concern that he has to deal with. So, the more specific the idea is, the more real it feels/ in line with who I think Matty might be, the better it is going to end up.

This is where I struggle the most: im not that great at detail, description, emotion etc. but i find dialogue natural to write. So, usually, my starting point is dialogue. Like, once I had the idea for what I wanted the fight to be about, I imagined Matty in that situation and how he would be a bit sarcastic and say that thing about how hes imagining someone asking him about the new show where he says "oh yeah, its going great! i mean, my missus hates it, but at least Rolling Stone thought it was alright" or whatever. And I start out with that and build the scene around that kind of interaction.

Same with longer plots and stories. Like, I had the idea for Education after we were all talking about inexperienced!Y/N and Matty being patient and teaching her. So thats half the plot. the other half is, again, what I imagine Matty would be like. He's had a few slutty phases recently. And if it were a friend/ non-gf situation im sure he'd be dumb enough (hes a man after all, bless him) to like continue sleeping around. and ive been doing a thing, though im not sure its clear enough for y'all to have noticed lmao, where like, whatever "lesson" he teaches her in bed has a common theme with the plot of the chapter.

Like, for example, the next one is gonna be called "Mistakes are how we learn" or some shit. no spoilers but, thats gonna be the theme of what happens both IN and OUT of the bedroom, so. But again, the plot sorts itself out around the moments that I imagine in their dynamic. Matty's super gentle, physically affectionate, etc. So, while it's not quite the same as romantic intimacy, he is the type to look out for his friends. and we've all seen how comfortable he is with kissing/hugging etc. So, I try to work with that and then expand it to work with what the plot of the chapter is.

I will say that I used to think that getting his "englishness" down to a T would be important cuz i didn't wanna make him sound american. though I have to say, sometimes that shit ends up being so forced and unnatural cuz *i* dont talk like that hahahaha. So, I've stopped trying. It's a hard balance to walk cuz you don't want him to sound like hes from fuckin texas or whatever. but you also dont wanna sound like hes a 56 year old newscaster at the BBC's 6pm news. you know? wish i had better advice on that one.

hiii it's sleepover anon again :’) another long update ahahah. i was able to talk to them the day after my bday thru vid call!

they basically said that they were talking abt me bc it was just randomly brought up when they were tgt waiting for me to arrive to bff1's house on the day of the sleepover/dinner party, and they thought that me being delusional over the guy was funny.. i mean, sure yeah it is pretty funny but 1) someone *must* have brought it up bc how else would that convo even happen while they were waiting for me 😭 i don't believe it was "random".. 2) they were still laughing abt me behind my back ? i mean, yk we could've done that together lol bc i rly was silly ngl. but i said that i'm not ashamed about it even if they think i was being too much bc first of all that guy actually showed interest and he implied lots of times that he did like me sooooo it's only natural to feel that way ? 🙁 i wasn't going to not let myself not feel anything abt it bc i just wanted to have fun 😭 and even if he was sus, which we all thought at first b4 i got close to him, i stuck around w him bc he was the only person i knew in one of my classes cuz we were also classmates in the previous term.. then we got close bc we helped each other n yk stuff happened but it was also for the sake of common decency. and i rly was just fucking around to find out bc i wanted to know even tho he was sus.. and now i know and there's actual proof that he's just not it. i wasn't going to cut him off or smth without reason or proof lol i'd end up being the bad guy despite what we all thought ab him at first :// but now i do have a good enough reason that i can back up n thats why i stopped talking to him. simple as that

also bff2 alr felt bad enough bc she realized that drunk her isn't a good person so i didn't feel the need to crush her abt the stuff she said abt our other friend lmaooo.. i could've but nah she was alr depressed enough i'm just glad she's aware now. i did mention it tho and i said it was just plain mean..

but it's also quite funny to think they were making fun of me for being so head over heels when they don't even have experience 😭 they don't even know what it's like to have someone interested in them at least.. like one time when i was talking to him for like 2 whole days, bff2 once told me she was jelly of me and him bc she's never gotten to talking stage w anyone.. n then after all that they were laughing abt me like lol ok :\\

anw i just told them that i don't appreciate how they talked abt me without my presence bc whatever they said to each other was smth they could actually say to my face.. it's smth i'd laugh abt too yknow.. but they apologized tho which is good but honestly i don't rly trust them now after all that.. their insecurities spilled onto their perception of me + our other friend like yikes i don't rly want insecure friends who laugh abt me behind my back i want supportive and non-judgmental ones!! it's not even hard to be kind 😭 glad i went to that sleepover n that i went thru him tho even tho it was just bs bc i found out the truth abt my friends.. bottom line is i don't have trustworthy friends so i'm just going to keep my distance.. we r still 'friends' i don't want to cut them off but i'm just not telling them anything anymore and i'm not talking to them unless they msg to talk to me first or if i need them for smth lol

•the two met when they were younger, Dia was just 10 and Geeta was 11

-Mom Carnet had to film a scene in Paldea, and she brought Dia along so she can learn more abt acting

-Dia ended up not doing much bc everyone was so busy, so she ventured on her own after asking permission from Mom Carnet

-Mom Carnet almost didn't let her, but the other cast members told Dia that it would be for the best for a kid like her to venture around Paldea a bit, maybe she'd meet new friends, and Mom Carnet just huffed and left her be

•so hey, Dia went out w her own lil Carbink, until she got to Mesagoza, and found the stairway leading to Uva Academy

-at the bottom of the stairway she saw this lil girl sitting by herself, her Pawniard seems like it's trying to cheer her up

-so Dia went to her, all "hi! You look sad, are you okay?"

"..."

"well, I'm Diantha! And you are?"

"..Geeta."

"that's a nice name, Geeta! Why do you look so sad? Did something happen?"

"my classmates... They don't like me.."

Diantha gave her a look "that's not nice. Well, if they don't like you then I like you! We can be friends!"

And Geeta could only nod, at least someone wasn't creeped out by her and wanted to be her friend

•so hey, the two hung out all day, and Dia did wonder why Geeta doesn't smile that much, but also imagine Dia giving Geeta some flowers while they were playing w some Floette tho, and Geeta did smile a bit, and Dia told her how she's pretty when she smiles and she likes seeing it

-and idk Geeta just smiling more and more throughout their lil day out bc seeing Diantha happy also made her happy

-tho by the end of the day, their parents did look for them. Geeta's parents almost got mad at her for skipping class, but then they found out Diantha was the daughter of Mom Carnet, someone rich, so they just let them be friends

-same w Mom Carnet tho, since Geeta's fam was also rich

-but hey, for like a month or so, Dia and Geeta's friendship grew even more, so when Dia had to head back home to Kalos, they promised each other to keep in touch y'know, send letters and all that

•and yeah few years later, they're 12/13 all that thing Mom Carnet did to Dia (burning her and such), Dia called Geeta, told her abt it

-thats probs the first time Geeta really felt anger, she wanted nothing more but to fly to Kalos and take Diantha away from her mother

-but they both know she can't, so now Geeta could only try to comfort Diantha through the phone, hoping it'll be enough

-that night, their video call lasted the entire night, w Geeta waiting and making sure Diantha really fell asleep before logging off

•anyways, after that maybe that's when Dia really went to go on her own pkmn journey and she told Geeta abt it, w Geeta saying she's still finishing her classes, but she does have her own team, still not complete tho.

-and Dia told her she's gonna find her team too

-Dia is a battling prodigy, so it's not surprise she really did well w the Gym Challenge, Geeta was really impressed

•Dia became champion when she was around 14, Geeta said she would want to be champion too, but Paldea didn't have an actual League during that time

-Diantha said that she will be champion one day, and maybe she will be the first ever champion, smth that Geeta did look forward to

•during their teen years tho (like I wanna say they're around 16/17), Geeta did visit Kalos, and Diantha was so happy she showed her around the region and even introduced her brother to her

-it was also the time Dia and Geeta really opened up to each other w what heppened during the time they weren't together

-w Geeta opening up abt her parents and such, but hey it was fine ig bc somehow she managed to make friends in the academy, and Dia was so happy to hear that

-when Dia opened up abt the stuff that happened to her tho, like what happened to her Carbink and then the stuff w Mom Carnet, man, Geeta just wanted to head to the Carnet Manor and punch Mom Carnet square in the face

-Dia did show her her back tho, and just bcmdndm idk I want it to be a really really soft moment between them

-bc usually it's Dia that's overly affectionate between them, but like, imagine Geeta just gently holding her from behind, holding her right hand w hers, and she's gently kissing over Dia's scars and burns, telling her that despite all this, she's still beautiful, that she's so strong for enduring all that pain, and Geeta promised her that she won't ever have to deal w anything alone anymore

-Diantha broke down crying after that, turning and clinging to Geeta, crying her heart out after many years of repressing everything

•and yeah, years later and they're still best friends, really affectionate best friends that people did thought they were dating hahaha
