A bit tired of people complaining about Sanji's principle of "not hitting women" being misogynistic when it has been clearly stated multiple times that he does not choose it and it's heavily tied to his trauma and admiration for his dad and respect for women and definitely not from seeing women as somehow weaker than him

Very funny to me how Stansas present her character as being so interesting and complex because of her vulnerabilities, while simultaneously ignoring those same vulnerabilities in other characters. Dany is sold as a bridal slave and lacks agency throughout AGOT and after. Her dragons are either too young/small to utilize effectively or locked away for the majority of the story. They aren't some all-powerful trump card that protects her from harm. Arya is captured as a prisoner of war, forced to watch countless people tortured and murdered, and then essentially enslaved in Harrenhal with no way to fight back. She has an entire arc of feeling powerless, of being a "mouse", during ACOK. She doesn't have "kung-fu" or the ability to magically fight her way out of every situation, she's a young child lacking physical strength with only the most basic sword training.

Sansa isn't the only female character, she isn't the only young character, she isn't the only character who suffered, and no one is obligated to prioritize her. I'm so tired of Dany and Arya being mischaracterized and having their stories erased to prop Sansa up. "Sansa has kept her dignity" In other words, let's praise her for having a level of security that Dany and Arya don't have access to. She hasn't ever been forced to make a hard decision which of course means that she's morally superior to them. They can't even admit to themselves that her lack of action is due to her own passivity. If it doesn't fit their delusion, they erase it from the story and expect the rest of us to play along. Ask one of them what they like about her character without bringing up her being the ultimate victim, and I genuinely don't believe they'd be able to give you an answer. They belittle other characters more than they talk about her and these takes just scream insecurity/jealousy at the content and development other characters have in their POVs.

I was going to draw the crown too but decided I don't hate myself that much(maybe some other day), and gave him a golden laurel crown, bcs I'm obsessed with that as a motif, and also its very remincient of the boy king statue that started this whole thing!

There's some symbolism of this, both intentionally but also just historically. I love that the orb represents that the monarch is holding the world in their hand, basically every old monarchy has one of those, and I think it's very cool for symbolism. But also bcs of that, I was forced to basically draw catholic fanart so, you win some you lose some. The star halo above him head is both to reference those religious statues with star crowns(I saw them a lot in Europe and they imprinted onto my brain), as well as: his four championships of course!

As an excuse for her harming others because of those said insecurities falls very flat when it puts the character's, who live during a time of few options especially if you were a women, at risk. And even with her insecurities, her lashing out and hurting people should be held in the same regard as how some view Cressida, who didn't get the luxury of a view into her home life until s3, unlike Penelope, and while it still has people calling out this behavior, although rightfully so, it often still includes denying that Penelope needs to take accountability as well.

that drebber fellow in question is actually full of spoilers (which were surely in my blog already bc i'm always forgetting to tag things properly 😭) but i'll try not to spill the beans + even knowing spoilers i'm sure this game will still find the way to surprise (as it was with me).

SO. the main point of this ship is that it's literally the visual self-reflection. it’s even really hard for me to imagine it being more real and physical because of how much this psychological/therapeutic? aspect means to this ship.

a giant part of drebber‘s character is in the conflict with his past - and that’s exactly what this ship represents literally. it’s denial of the past at all in form of the symbolic kill of his past self and the rebirth in the new body and image. it’s anger - on himself current and on himself from the past - for everything that happened, and taking out all of these emotions on him(self). it’s an attempt to come it terms with his past while not really changing anything on the deeper level and self-deception. it’s depression and unwillingness to do anything at all. and in the end of this weird relationship i see acceptance of the fact that past cannot be fixed or changed, and parting - which is at the same time reunion and finally becoming whole again.

i love how almost or every at all possible dynamic can work well with them - the range of internal conflict is ironically wider than interpersonal. i love how they are violent and tender at the same time. they are the perfect opposites in everything, even in their looks - and this connect them even more. i love them him thim!!!!!!

like i get it’s a movie and so it’s not realistic and will do the same things other movies do but i just don’t like the idea of Miles and Gwen getting together in BTSV. it makes no sense to me outside of a money perspective and seems like it would be a bad idea. Course i’m not gonna yuck someone else’s yum on a harmless ship like this, because it’s not that serious here, but i’ll just never understand lol. Miles doesn’t truly know these people, he hasn’t known them for more than a few days or even less, and almost all of them betrayed him. I love the idea of an immediate connection, it’s very heartwarming, but it just feels lazy and unfinished (which. i mean they had to cut a lot of things out so that would be adding to the rushed feeling) if they use that in BTSV, slapping a flimsy bandaid on a bullet wound, just like so many other movies 🤷🏾 but yknow things can always change lol

OKOK, so the ship first started out cause of me and boyfriend joking around with shipping people with scratch, Hussie, self shipping, and then we got around to snowman and we were like "wait.. this is kinda awesome??" and the ship was made for us. in our opinions, we think that snowman is very jokingly yet very lovingly affectionate with him, and doc scratch is constantly like "I HAVE WORK TO DO... STOP!!!!" and is overall very flustered and unamused with her affections. (in secret though we feel that he does enjoy her affections, he just wishes she'd save it for when he wasnt actively working or around people.) but yeah, it started as a crack ship but made its way into my heart. (i dont think mu boyfriend ever ironically shipped it, he was always genuine with it.)

but yeah, me and my bf love polyfelt and polycrew. we are lovers, your honor!! we love love!!
