Fratboy Eren lures Mikasa to one of his frat parties under false pretenses. He convinces her to come over because he really needs help studying and when she shows up to his house and there is music blaring with people everywhere drunk out of their minds, she's PISSED. But Eren is just like "Great, you're here! Now can you lick this tequila off my abs please🥺"

YES !!!!!!! YES YES YES!!!

Eren isn't going to say he doesn't like frat parties. That would be wrong, immoral even, against the code.

But he is willing to admit that they do get kind of tiring after a while. So many girls, too many different names to pretend to remember, too many people touching him. After a while it just gets well... overstimulating and not in a good way.

There's girls caressing his forearms, begging him to take his shirt off, to be the canvas in which they lick tequila from, and sure, in theory it all sounds fun.

And at any other opportunity he'd jump at the chance, but today, he'd driven several hours back to school from home... without Mikasa to entertain him and supply him with home-made sandwiches. He's simply exahausted and he doesn't feel like fielding random girls from touching his dick while they lick tequila off his abs. It doesn't sound enjoyable in the least.

He just wants to lie down in his bedroom, nure his headache with ibuprofen and gatorade and fall asleep cradled in Mikasa's boobs. Is that so much to ask? "C'mon Eren, get in line it's your turn to be the shot next!" Porco goads him and Eren groans, yeah apparently it is too much to ask.

It's a long shot and honestly, unless Mikasa is nearby there's no way she'll make it in time, but he's gotta at least try.

I have a theory around this, and I need to describe a few things first to make it all come together:

Firstly, We have compulsory voting, which means that you can't just say "nah, I'm not voting this year" - like, you can still cast a vote that won't count, but you do still have to actually go out and do that, so you can't just not bother - you have to actively abstain.

Secondly, we know that, as a trend, Australians don't change their vote. In fact, we change our vote so little that there's a massive correlation between how you vote and how your parents voted. This leads to a massive amount of "inertia" within our political system, and why (until very recently) it was basically unheard of for a government at any level to be kicked out after a single term.

Thirdly, a basic principle of politics everywhere - there's no such thing as a policy where everyone wins. Every political action benefits some people, and injures others. This means that in the long run, a government will do something to piss you off, regardless of who's in charge. Further, for a lot of political actions, the actual winners and losers take a while to become clear, so the longer you're in power, the more likely you are to still be in charge when the losers realises you screwed them over.

And Fourthly, yes, ultimately who is the Prime Minister is at the discretion of the political party - they can dump them if they feel they are underperforming and try someone else, so it's very possible for a PM to be discarded long before they manage to do anything of consequence.

So, combine these together?

Australians don't change their vote often, and it's as much of a pain to cast an invalid vote as it is to cast a valid vote, so even if you're not particularly excited about a government, if you voted for them last time, you're probably going to vote for them next time.

Further, Preferential voting makes changes of vote somewhat obscured if you're only looking at the 2PP figures - you might, for example, put the Libs at 2, and then decide to put them at 4 instead, but you still put them before Labor, so to the Liberals, your vote isn't really changing, and you weren't putting them at 1, so the "primary vote" hasn't changed either, even though you're still voting down the Liberals.

Prime Ministers judge their actions not necessarily by public opinion, but by public voting intention. Which, as we just noted, changes very little.

If a Prime Minister is shitty to begin with, their party will probably off them for someone else, so if we all hated them even during their honeymoon, they're off and we won't remember them fondly.

But the longer a Prime Minister is in charge, the more people they will piss off, and the more pissed off people will become.

But because there's so much inertia, Prime Ministers can piss off a lot of people a lot before that becomes reflected in the polls...

...Until eventually the public is so pissed off at the PM and their government that they'll do the unthinkable and change their vote.

So, by the time we say goodbye to a PM, they've pissed everyone off so much that we barely have a good word to say about them, and because we hate them so much, we spend a lot more time thinking about all the shitty stuff they did, rather than any of the good stuff.

And, of course, even after they're gone, the more time passes, the more the winners and losers political decisions they made become clear, and the more reasons we have to hate them.

Probably the only PM I remember fondly in the last 30 years would be Julia Gillard - Because, among other things, she was in a minority government and was a stunning negotiator, so actually did managed to get shit done (and that shit was sufficiently well-negotiated to keep the balance of winners and losers in her favour), but didn't stick around long enough to be voted out. In fact, she didn't really stick around long enough for any of her decisions to come back to haunt her, and the Coalition did such a thorough job breaking the shit she did do we'll never see how shitty they would have been for us in the long run!

One of things I find interesting (very sad) about American politics is the way they experience so much political trauma that they romanticise and ideal previous completely evil politicians because their current ones are so terrible.

Thinking about the way there's 'oh soft grandpa!' about George W Bush, responsible for some of the most heinous acts of bigotry and violence imaginable.

And I wonder why Australia doesn't have something similar. We love to ape America, after all.

Partially because we don't have the cult of the individual like America, and over the past two decades, we've proven that our political leaders will get cut and replaced at the drop of a hat.

I guess we have it a little, Bob Hawke gets talked about with his larrikin charm, drinking his world record speed beer. Keating gets idolised as this fast talking quip slinging master.

John Howard, a blight on our country only gets mentioned in current political discussion with his gun reforms (which was the only good thing he did).

It was a love story from the very beginning.

The Great Pretender

(12x07/12x08)

Hi there!!! We' ll be talking about two episodes in this meta. I was thinking about the title here, I wanted to named it Glued, but then I realized there was more of AU! Michael possessing Dean foreshadows that actually Dean glued to his husband... So I decided to change the title.

Let's start!

The mind intruder and glued worried Dean

At the beginning of episode 13x07 we have flashbacks to the introduction of two narcissist characters: Asmodeus and AU!Michal, Asmodeus as a big pretender and AU!Michael the one that will use different faces.

The difference between them is Michael is a mind intruder, just like we saw in that doctor ghost in episode 13x05, and just like we will see the big manipulation of Dean's mind in episode 14x10.

MICHAEL: While I was in your head, I saw what you're afraid of– being locked up again, like you were in the Cage. So after I'm done, you'll be left here, alone, in agony, forever.

Michael manipulates Lucifer! With his own fears, just like he will do with Dean at first, knowing that it won't work, he will find another way to control him.

After this, we have a worried Dean scene, in which Castiel had pictures different possible and worsts scenarios for Jack. One of his theories is, the kid being dragged to Heaven.

DEAN: Yeah, but isn't he too fast and furious for angels?

CASTIEL: Maybe. Maybe not. That's what I'm gonna find out.

SAM: Find out from who? From – from the angels?

CASTIEL: Yes.

[Dean stands up]

DEAN: All right. Well, let's go.

Look at this boy in love who doesn't want to lost the love of his life again. So he will follow the angel to the end of the world and keep an eye on him. This time is an angel, but when CAS wants to go to Heaven, a place where Dean knows he can't follow him and it makes him always so nervous and anxious. As we will see in another episode from this season.

CASTIEL: Dean, you can't accompany me. My contact is already anxious about meeting and won't speak in the presence of a stranger.

DEAN: So introduce me. Then I'm not a stranger. I'll bring a six-pack.

Dean insists, he can't let go Cas that easy. Not after loosing him.

CASTIEL: Dean, I swore I would protect this boy. Let me do this.

The promise to Kelly means the first mission to Castiel.

DEAN: Don't do anything stupid.

This time this quote takes another color than on season 12, this times talks about fears. Dean is afraid of Cas dying again.

Coming back to the AU world, there's something that Lucifer said that caught my attention:

LUCIFER: (...) Where I come from, God is a paradox. He's everywhere, in your mind. In reality, he's nowhere.(...)

This is parallel to Jack's last words in episode 15x19, the real definition of the New God.

After this, we have another great pretender... Ketch, lying about his identity. A foreshadow of Asmodeus pretending being Castiel.

This time the one suspecting is Dean, and not Sam. But when Asmodeus will be one pretending being Castiel, the oblivious one will be Dean.

Focused Cowboy Angel

Castiel at the gates to Heaven facing Dinah is a very interesting exchange of words.

CASTIEL: So you're planning to enslave him for some kind of experiment?

DUMAH: Castiel, he's not your pet. He belongs to all of us.

As a premonition of Jack's finale mission as the New God.

But the focus change towards Castiel, Jack's first protector. They know Jack trusts him, so the one that can have Cas, will have Jack. The angel's saw this, and also Lucifer.

Castiel rejects Heaven's plans, as always, but this time is because he is focused on his mission: to protect Jack.

Luci comes to the rescue, and there's this funny way he calls Cas a "cowboy", funny because the previous episode Cas was playing cowboys with Dean.

And then, the another awkward Destiel phone chat for our collection...

DEAN (over the phone): Cas, any news on Jack? We need to find him fast.

CASTIEL: Nothing yet, but... interesting things are happening. We...

DEAN: What?

CASTIEL (noticing Lucifer is standing beside him): Yes, [cut to the bunker, as Dean makes a face of surprise and confusion as Cas suddenly changes subject] I would like to see you, too, the sooner the better.

That for sure something Cas is not used to say to Dean Because Dean got more confused. What kind of cheesy lovers end of a conversation is that? So Dean is nervous and anxious again...

DEAN: Yeah. How we looking? You still got a lock on Cas's signal?

SAM: Sure do. I nailed down his location. He's not much further, so... Don't worry. You did tell him not to do anything stupid.

DEAN: Right. When's the last time that's worked?

Worried husband is worried, hehehe.

More foreshadows and symbolisms in episode 13x08

Okay, all the things I found in this episode I wrote it enthusiastically in this meta here.

But, what I can add related to Ma'lak box is, Dean trying to get his hand inside a vault, as a reference to him being locked inside his own mind and trying to locked himself inside the Ma'lak box.

But we had a huge parallel here with Smash dressed with Destiel color and the demon dressed in black as the Empty. I will put here the things I wrote in the other meta...

All the characters in this episode were telling us one future story, talking about the end, talking about Destiel and how Cas will end too. I truly believed Dean would rescue CAS at the end of the show, but it didn't happen, even so, the evidences were there!

The title of the episode: "The Scorpion and the Frog" is a fable that talks about how the Scorpion can't go against his nature and ends up killing the frog that was helping him to cross the river, and both died.

This can be taken as a foreshadow to Billie asking for help and by nature ( she wanted just the equilibrium, at any cost) ends dying together with Castiel.

Also, it can be taken as the writers trying to tell us that, he will end up killing us all at the end, because that's their nature, even when Destiel shippers were helping the show to reach 15 seasons. Hahahaaha too romantic for this shitty ending they gave us, but well. Can't stop analyzing all the symbolism here...

To Conclude:

These two episode talked about impostors and mind introducers and gave us a lot of foreshadows about Dean being possesed, being locked inside his head and the end of season 15.

Also, it showed us a very worried Dean, and how we will see throughout the r st of the season how he lives struggling with his own fears of loosing Castiel again, and Because of it, he will remain almost glued to his angel.

hey! i wanna at least try to get into kpop, to see what all the fuss is abt, and youre the first blog that comes to mind abt that stuff. do you have any recs!? or comments?? anything really, i'm interested in what you have to say

i have recs!!! first of all ty for asking me abt it hdgfs !! i’ll make u a list !! i will try to stay concise but i have bolded n linked the most important stuff since i tend to blabber a lot! there r groups i purposely didnt recommend! also! i advise you to look up who did what if you want to know why idcs abt certain artists that r big in kpop (like big//ba//ng, su//ju, bl//ock//b, ma//ma//moo & so on) tl;dr: kpop basics (spotify) + @tearera (my kpop sb)

i’ll start w some RECS but jsyk kpop as u might have heard of it is mainly composed of groups! which is why i’ll start w groups then soloists! of course u can check out most of them on spotify (u can listen to their playlist of the most famous songs atm!). please notice that the kpop industry is very ‘classic’ when it comes to concepts (cute r for gorls! badass r for boys!) so um. yeah. yikes. if i had to argue abt all the things i find wrong in this industry this post would become a manifesto, u can always pm me if u want to hear me complain lmao 

GIRL GROUPS

honestly…. TWICE are the first one that came to my mind when i thought of ggs to rec. they’re a 9 member group labelled under jyp entertainment n have debuted in 2015 with the bop like ooh aah… that u can listen to! their genre is mainly cute songs but dont be fooled!! they have extremely powerful songs & lyrics as well! some good starts with their music are LIKEY (2017, a bop, great melody, great rapping, one of their ult feel good songs, played @ the olympics), TT (2016, queens of halloween!), and also their most recent song WHAT IS LOVE (2018, iconic!! gay!! bop!! sweet!! great album!!). as twice are the kind that can set you off by their cuteness and playful vibes, i recommend you to check out some of their side tracks. personality wise, the girls r very fun and sweet! they’re all angels and i love them all THIS MUCH!! if u want to know, sana & dahyun r my favourite members!         

also queens, but from sm entertainment this time, Red Velvet are a 5 member gg who have debuted in 2015 with the song Happiness (at that time they were only 4 but the youngest member, Yeri, joined later on!). some very famous songs of theirs are… basically all their title tracks but i’d mainly recommend Russian Roulette, Dumb Dumb (also my fave rv music video!!), Peek-a-boo (what’s better than lesbians witches slaying men and eating pizza), Bad Boy (honestly… one of their best songs… title track of their repackaged album…good shit if u will). of course! there are some side tracks i will recommend! i will frankly say that i listen to a lot of their music and they’re my favourite musically! some faves in no particular order are automatic, cool hot sweet love, huff n puff, something kinda crazy, about love, kingdom come, little little and talk to me! they have very versatile genres and have two main themes of music, the red and the velvet, though these mix often! rlly! their music really good. they have amazing choreographies too!!!!

the third gg i will rec are one that have not debuted yet, it’s LOONA! get ready bc they are a 12 member group with one girl for every month. each girl was revealed every month staring from 2016 with a single album composed of one song and one side track that usually features another member! as this group has yet to debut, i cannot show you anything with all twelve members but! they work with units, there are three: loona 1/3, odd eye circle, and yyxy (tune in for their debut scheduled for may!) that each have an album. 1/3 r more of a cute girly concept, while odd eye circle have played strongly on the girl crush & rnb concept. we have yet to see what yyxy has for us n im frankly v excited!!! my fave singles are Around You (hyunjin), Let Me In (haseul), Singing in the rain (jinsoul, best girl), Eclipse (kim lip), and Heart Attack (by chuu!! also best girl). they have already released a lot of music so go ahead & listen to it! their music videos have a plot and it’s one of those theories fandom (loonaverse)! the positions that all the members will have wasn’t been revealed yet!

then here’s a list of ggs that’s not as detailed bc it would be too long: clc (they r…the girls….), exid (vocals, social criticism, sexy), blackpink (5 songs out but theyre all top notch), f(x) (v good music! bring them back from the war), gfriend (cute & refreshing concepts! v tight choreographies! sweet girls!), aoa, & many more! groups i dont rec bc i dont stan but that u should know of: snsd, 2ne1; that have disbanded but shouldnt have: sistar

BOY GROUPS

ok i stan two boy groups so that’ll be quick! i’ll also rec plenty of music!

the main group i stan is BTS aka the bangtan boys and yes… they’re everywhere… they deserve it tbh… so theyre a 7 member boy group and they’re the first kpop group i ever stanned! they have released a lot of songs already but i’ll just mark something! bts are known for their cinematography and plot in their music videos as well as their politically/socially engaged songs. they debuted in 2013 with the youth-conscious song no more dream and um. forget the mv. the message is what’s important. secondly! my favourite eps & albums are DARK&WILD (forget abt war of hormone), The Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt2, WINGS, and Love Yourself 轉 Tear (which will be released on May 18th so stay tuned!). here’s a beginner’s list to bts & their music videos: spring day, blood sweat & tears, run, fire, i need u, and intros: singularity, serendipity. i cannot recommend bts songs bc i’d be unable to pick some, but here is my bangtan favourites playlist and spotify’s This Is BTS! n their most known song atm, still on charts, DNA. another thing!! they dabble in a lot of genres! there is a constant symbolism in most of their songs and music videos, which is why there are theories! also, here are my fave choreos (x x x) & non-official releases (x x x)! also! j-hope recently released a mixtape! check it out! it’s v good! the bad thing is that the fandom is massive n it is filled with young fans so a lot of fan-created content is cringey. apart from that! theyre lovely as a band n i’m not ashamed to say that they bring me most of my joy these days!

then there is… NCT. ok, let’s dive into them. nct is the acronym for Neo Culture Technology, they’re currently an 18 member boy group but hey! don’t be scared! they too work in units and have only released one song which features all 18 of them! it is likely that the band will expand later on & that the name NCT will become a brand (like akb48 u know). so far! there are three units! NCT DREAM (based on age, with the youngest members who r still minors), NCT U (the first unit to have debuted, aka nct united, a rotative unit with no fixed genre or members list) and NCT 127 (seoul based unit, fixed, with 9 members). they’re known for their experimentative and diversified sound, which goes from ballads to… this. while each unit have their distinct genre and vibe, they’re all under the same label of nct! and um, check out spotify’s nct playlist if u want! here r some songs that are basics! bolded r the faves! jsyk i hated their music & their clothes @ first bc it’s so unique so dw if u dislike them! 

127: cherry bomb, limitless (gross hair but spectacular song), touch, back to u, 0 mile, sun & moon, angel

dream: my first and last, we young, go, dunk shot, trigger the fever, la la love

the last group i’ll present in length n that u should know about is SEVENTEEN. they’re a 13 member boy group & work in units as well but mainly promote w all the members! they’re the fun, sweet, talented, heartfelt refreshing boys we all love tbh! so! seventeen debuted in 2015 with the bop adore u and since then it’s been great song over great song… they also have great choreos! they’re the easiest group to listen to imo bc their songs are mostly light and very similar to what you can hear on teen top radios! then, they get stuck in your head very easily! here are some songs u can listen to that will make your day! mansae, very nice, pretty u, clap, don’t wanna cry, change up, n there are many more! some of my faves are when i grow up, trauma, still lonely, rocket, crazy in love, lean on me, and uhgh rlly all of their songs tbh! three units better known as teams: hip-hop, performance and vocal, with a leader in each. they put up great performances!!

then there is shinee, mostly nicknamed the kings of kpop, i’d make a very long desc but! i suggest you to see for yourself as the fandom is v helpful!

here are some boy groups that i rec but wont go in length with: pentagon (i stan!), monsta x (edm, powerful dances), shinee, exo (great vocals, great choreos, v good music), astro (bubblegum but v heartwarming! vocals), day6 (rock band, great songs), wanna one & many more! rlly um bgs arent the thing that’s lacking in kpop! 

a bit in the middle: KARD (mixed group!!! great music & genderless, breaking the usual hardcore is for boys & cutesy is for girls concept)

SOLOISTS

more of a solo person? check out artists like hyuna (ex member of both wonder girls & 4minute), iu, heize (a personal fave!), sunmi (ex member of wonder girls), taemin (member of shinee), amber liu (current member of fx! also released a mixtape recently!) hyolyn or dean… tbh there r many! these r just the ones i can think off the top of my head! theyre honestly easy to listen to so just look up their names on yt & u should find some good things!
