twelve is not more ruthless or cruel or endangering than any of his predecessors. he just doesn't hide it. I think he was the kindest doctor because he didn't hide his ruthlessness from his companions, didn't hide it behind a goofy bow tie or the charm that makes people follow him to the end of the universe. . . he showed Clara exactly who he was and the brutal things he was willing to do if he believed they were right. And he didn't pretend to feel bad about them. I think after amy and rory he got tired of how easily people believed he was good, how easy that made them to kill, how their faith in him always always meant they never got home. So he does the kindest thing he can think of, and doesn't hide that they're not just choosing to travel with him, they're also choosing to travel with the death that follows him everywhere he goes. I think he's the first doctor not to hide from that second companion and the part he plays in keeping it onboard.

college grad lip getting a good job. working for some kinda tech company that’s getting into robotics. and dating the pretty girl who works at the building’s front desk.

this is so cute!!

the way he would be flirting with you at every chance, and every single person in that building knows he wants you. in fact, it's pretty clear that a lot of the guys in the building have a thing for you, but they're all just so stuck up. there's something so genuine about lip, he understands where you come from unlike all the silver spoon assholes he you work with. he's genuine southside, he's smart as a whip and a hard worker too.

he would start to ask you out at work and you would realize what he's saying and quickly cut him off, writing down your cell number. the first date is spectacular. he doesn't want to fuck it up, so he cleans up nice and takes you out to dinner and clubbing after. the next morning you would be hungover as hell but positively glowing. the other office girls notice and you brush them off with a shake of your head and a smile. they put two and two together when lip lingers a little longer at your desk than normal- which is saying something really- laughing loud and proud at each of your dumb jokes and grinning like an idiot when you lean in close to say something in his ear.
