Okay so what if I told you I did a really silly thing and made a Star Trek tos medival fantasy AU.......

OKAY SOOOO 😍 basically I had this image of kirk in a suit of armor but that kind of half armor where the other half is a dress and thag kinda spawned everything else

The AU doesn't exactly stick to the typical medival fantasy world, I had an idea about vulcan/elves and humans not coexisting very well. And vulcans can do the typical magic spells so humans have to make manmade magic (ie. That big thing on scottys back and all of mcoy and chapels potions)

ANZYWAY here are some facts about them in the order they are presenteddd bc ik it's kind of a random set to start with lol I'll post more later

Kirk-

A knight from a kingdom (starfleet) that worships stars (?) Hes a captain and got separated from his troops. He looks a little grumpy in the image hes very sweet very himbo I was just concentrating on his outfit drawing that so I didn't think of the pose lol. Also! The way I og imagined him was with those two painted on dots, it could be a religious thing from the kingdom or something idk but I just rlly wanted them to stick so yeah!!

Scotty-

A blacksmith and all around inventor!! He specializes in man made magic, something very powerful and dangerous in the wrong hands but he just finds it useful to power his machines while he's on the go :) so of course he just pretty much PERFECTS IT IMMEDIETLY because he's scotty!! This probably got him attention from the wrong crowd and his moving from place to place life style becomes more of a on-the-run thing. Oops!

Mccoy-

OK I KNOW THIS IS A LITTLE WIERD IN A FANTASY but this was around the time I was leaning more medival than fantasy (because I love history) and was thinking- what did medival doctors do? Medival times was kind of the plague era.....riiiiighhttt..?? Anywaayy there's some magical plague going around in the background probably more near where Chapel and Mccoy are from. He travels the lands in search for people to help! He specializes in potions- thought not his favorite medicine but the only thing that can combat the sickness. He's just a very tired old man that wants to help people <3

Chapel-

OK SO UM THIS ONES VERY MEDIVAL BUT WHATEVER WERE ALREADY DOING IT!! Chapel lived in the same area as Mccoy, living as a nun (secrets out I don't care about history I just love nuns) Among the many nun things her favorite was helping the local doctor out as a nurse. She grew very knowledgeable about medicine, and with her previous knowledge of magic as a nun they both came up with a (sort of) cure to the plague. But oops! Blasfamy! As the church decided the plague was actually an act of God! So with the help from the doctor they both ran away, searching for people that needed (more like wanted) their help!

It's a little wierd but I hope atleast somone found this intresting!! It's all I could think about for days lol😭 if anyone wants to talk about it or just their own ST AUs I would be SO open for that PLS

it is heartbreaking how Ellie looks at him the whole scene of telling her about his scar. That is a deep, deep part of him and his history and his emotions. She is watching him talk about pulling the trigger, motioning his hand up to his head, how he flinched, everything. She looks at him and she’s picturing it. She’s picturing him, broken down and crying with a gun to his head. She sees him in Henry’s position. The change in his eyes to clarity. How Joel told her he “couldn’t have been more ready”. She is seeing this man who is so strong and who’s protected her at every turn and who’s been nothing but gentle to her this whole time in such a broken way, and it breaks her heart to think that it did happen. She’s not just thinking it as a what if, he was there. He reached that point. He fired.

“I’m glad that…that didn’t work out.” She wouldn’t have him if it did. She never would have met him. They never would’ve giggled over some stupid puns together, eaten chef boyardee together, talked about their sheep ranch on the moon, or hugged. She wouldn’t have the person she loves most in the world with her right now

It Takes Two (Or Not)

Veneer was not spoken to the first day.

The first week.

The first month.

A part of him didn’t care. He wanted to be mad at her. He wanted to prove to her that he was capable of existing without her. He was successful the first month obviously, but once the first few days of month two set in, he started to feel uncomfortable. Previously, the longest they’d gone without talking was one night. An invisible string always brought and tied them back together. That string broke as soon as they were ushered to their separate cells. Chopped up into a million fibers.

He couldn’t take it anymore. Maybe Velvet wasn’t affected, but he definitely was. At lunch he decided to try and communicate with his sister.

“Hey.” He sits down in front of her. She does not acknowledge his existence. She does not try and move, either.

Veneer bites the inside of his cheek. “So… how’s it going for you?” No answer again. Shoooocker. He notes her eyes starting to squint and the way she suddenly cannot sit still.

“Cmon, you can’t ignore your big brother forever,” he muttered, now biting at his fingernails.

Well, that ticked a bomb. Velvets eyes shot up at him. “By. 20. Fucking. Minutes. I wish you’d shut the hell up about that! You NEVER do! We’re twins, it doesn’t even count.” Oh, but it’d count if she was older.

There it was. He was getting to her. It wasn’t ideal, but she was finally responding. He knew she’d crack. He had to keep going.

“Mm… I think it does though, baby sister.” He rested his head in his hand, blue eyes halfway open.

Her matching color eye twitched. “Don’t. Fucking. CALL ME THAT!” She screamed, jumping out of her seat and reached for his throat before immediately being pulled back by a guard who was on stand by as soon as the two started talking. Veneer watched in slight horror as the guard barely held his screeching sister back with one arm and had a walkie talkie in the other hand.

“Mhm, yes, I need backup in the cafeteria. Ve- yes her, thank you.” He slammed the walkie talkie on the table and grunted as he now held her back with both arms. She yelled at him for a few minutes before slowly breaking down into tears, her insults now incoherent. Heads had been turned but more started piling up at the sight of her breakdown. She gave up trying to basically kill him. Her body went limp and started shaking with sobs. The guards face stayed the same, but Veneers went from horror to confusion.

What was wrong with her?

He slowly reached an arm out before quickly pulling it away. He stared at her instead. Her previously separated lashes were clumped together with tears as if she was wearing mascara. Her hair was now frizzed up, but maintained its simple half up half down style. He’d been in a daze until the ‘backup’ had came to take her away. He caught a glimpse of her eyes. They were glazed and… deranged. She was genuinely scaring him. There was not another thought besides violence behind those eyes. 

That wasn’t his little sister. That couldn’t be her in there. She was sick.

Sick.

He hated associating that word with her. But, was there any other word to describe her state?

He wanted to just crush her in a hug and mend that broken string right back up. Everything would be okay then. They’d be back to being attached at the hip, a two in one.

Veneer will and would never accept that their relationship will never go back to normal.
