Moon Yongjun era a bela mistura de uma manhã ensolarada e com gotas de orvalho após uma noite chuvosa e isso não tinha como contestar… Já que o dia do seu nascimento era descrito exatamente assim.

Yongjun nasceu de uma relação completamente saudável entre dois sul coreanos nativos de Gangnam-gu, na península sul coreana. Um homem ético e completamente influente no país, empresário – de grande renome – com várias clínicas voltadas para estética em países como: China, EUA e Coreia do Sul; aquele era o grande nicho da família Moon. Já sua esposa, uma estilista, conhecida e aclamada em muitos países por suas peças e desfiles impecáveis com o magnífico hobby de tocar piano e violino. Ambos no auge de sua meia idade, estavam prontos para ter um bebê e trazer assim, um ar a mais de felicidade aquela família e não demorou para que a grande notícia fosse dada em um banquete contendo os integrantes mais importantes de suas vidas, tais como: avós, tios e tias e também alguns amigos bem próximos do casal.

A gestação foi de grande calmaria e entusiasmos, eles não podiam mais esperar para ver o pequeno – que nessa época – que ainda não tinha nome. Sua mãe, sempre eufórica e cheia de ideias para nomes, enquanto seu pai, sempre preocupado com o bem estar de ambos – mãe e bebê – dando o seu máximo de amor, carinho e proteção, com o passar dos longos 9 meses gestacionais.

Concebido entre uma noite chuvosa e uma manhã regada de luz do sol e orvalho brilhantes de um parto natural na própria residência dos Moon, nasceu, em 20 de março de 2000: Yongjun, um menininho cheio de energia e em seu coração habitando o mais divino amor.

Yongjun sempre cresceu vendo sua mãe praticar seu exercício de trabalho no ateliê, da grande mansão, tocando piano e violino de maneira exemplar, ele se empolgava com tantas as coisas que sua mãe criava e fazia, também foi na infância que aprendeu a tocar violino e piano sem nenhuma pressão vinda dos pais, ou aulas, apenas observando sua mãe e até se arriscando em tocar junto a ela. Já com seu pai, ele aprendeu que existiam muitos papeis no mundo para serem assinados, revogados, lidos e escritos, ele dizia a ela que: “era um passo importante na vida de qualquer ser humano saber o que estava fazendo com responsabilidade, principalmente na área dele.” e Yongjun, não entendia muito bem naquela época, mas sempre o olhava com extrema admiração.

Mas não era só de boas coisas que se vivia aquele menino, por sua vez e pela influência que aquela família tinha, Yongjun era muito aplicado nos estudos, tendo em vista que seu futuro era ele mesmo quem iria construir, sempre deu uma importância fulcral para esse lado, estudando assim em uma das melhores escolas de Gangnam, além de estudos de línguas estrangeiras em casa, tais como os primordiais: inglês e chinês – que regia o mundo – mas também línguas as quais gostava, estas sendo: francês e espanhol e logicamente o coreano, sua língua nativa. Suas notas eram exemplares e sempre estava em uma das primeiras colocações de seu colégio, o qual frequentou até sua adolescência, mantendo sempre o respeito pelos professores e amigos, ele era conhecido como 9 queridinho de todos – ainda que matasse aula algumas vezes e fosse visto como um grande badboy do bem –, o que poderia irritar alguns de pequena minoria que, mas a grande maioria o adorava e estava tudo bem, como era bem seguro de si, nunca teve muitos problemas na vida escolar.

Mas o problema viria a seguir…

Yongjun nunca pensou que iria passar por aquela dor, a pior – considerada por ele – que poderia sentir em sua vida, sua mãe, uma mulher completamente saudável, em um exame de rotina descobriu um câncer terminal no cérebro e o respectivo não tinha sequer cura, por ser uma doença muito rara, o tratamento ainda era desconhecido. O garoto não sabia como viver aquele momento, então, viveu como achava certo: se trancando em um quarto, usando drogas longe de seu pai e abusando do álcool de maneira que não podia – principalmente por sua faixa etária e ele não se importava, desde então – adentrou em uma profunda depressão, devido o falecimento precoce de sua mãe.

Foram os piores dias, meses de sua vida e só desistiu do álcool e outros, devido às brigas que tinha com seu pai.

Ao completar 18 anos, ele tinha de escolher algumas opções de universidades renomadas, para que pudesse se aplicar. Buscando algumas no Estados Unidos e outras na Coreia do Sul, resolveu que iria manter seu rumo agora longe de seus pais, em um país diferente, para respirar novos ares, se desafiar e se encontrar. Não demorou 15 dias para se mudar para o Estados Unidos e lá se estabelecer em sua primeira – e única – universidade de renome no país, lá Moon Yongjun tirou o seu primeiro diploma e era como médico, prestando até mesmo provas para que conseguisse começar a trabalhar naquele ramo, mas ele queria mais e mais e tinha o rei na barriga, depois de alguns meses – poucos – estudando e trabalhando com medicina, decidiu que estava na hora de retornar e tentar alguma coisa nova, que trouxesse emoção novamente para o seu dia a dia, que agora tinha o hobby de desenhista.

Por isso não demorou e Moon Yongjun estava rumando à Coreia novamente, cheio de ideias e um misto de frio na barriga com a vontade de comer.

Com isso, nasceu um novo ciclo, uma nova jornada, um novo momento na vida daquele menino, que com seus 24 anos, estava querendo conquistar o mundo com suas ideias engenhosas e malucas, até. Yongjun ria, vez ou outra, pensando: o que seria de seu futuro mais adiante? Porém, com a sensação de dever cumprido com o seu passado e alegria de viver com o seu presente. Logo quando adentrou, sabia que havia escolhido o lugar correto para trabalhar, o Muse 9 era especial, diga-se de passagem e um ótimo lugar para aprimorar suas experiências e também seus desenhos, o que deixava bastante tempo de sua vida passando calmamente ali.

Ele havia escolhido Acropolis como seu novo lugar de moradia por indicação e também grandes pesquisas que resultaram em grandes expectativas geradas, visto que o local era um dos melhores que havia visto desde a Coreia do Sul.

Residindo agora no Mount Olympus, Yongjun só pensava no que a vida estava a reservar? Não sabia, mas de uma coisa ele tinha certeza: iria aproveitar o máximo que podia de tudo que tinha ali.

More than often, they regarded themselves superior or they fought over an artifact - Gin could vaguely remember. He had been nothing but a youngling back then, as he had to accompany his grandfather to a meeting with several others, a gathering Gin would have never imagined. But even if you forgot the face, you never forgot a dragon's scent.

"Do we know each other?" Such an odd thing to say to someone who merely passed the street. Yet no matter how much Gin wished to deny it, his sensed had a different opinion, opting him to turn and speak to the stranger. "From a long time ago..."

Yongjun was not sure what had possessed him to pick up the book that day, sitting there on the best sellers table with it’s hardback cover splashed with colors all too familiar to him — carps swimming beneath pools with their dappled scales of red, white, and black. Perhaps it had been the aesthetics. Perhaps he’d been vain enough to see himself in the imagery, not knowing how very much of himself lie between those pages.

It had been a story — his story with another long since gone from his life but never truly forgotten. He watched memories spring to life off the paper as if reliving his youth one day at a time in uncanny clarity. And from the moment he realized the similarity — no — the exactness of it, he had to know who this mysterious author was who wrote his life, in all its love and sorrow, so succinctly without any way of having known…

The book-signing was busy, as to be expected of a best-selling author. And though some of the murmurs in line were on account of Yongjun himself — not an unknown face in these parts, being a best-selling artist himself of another kind — most faces were fixed on the handsome man seated behind the table at the front of book-clutching men and women alike. The closer Yongjun drew to the table the more and more his stomach sank. There were moments at first where he’d had his doubts that this man could be that one, but he realized these thoughts were denial working its insidious tendrils through him; that smile… that laugh… those eyes were unmistakable.

Next in line at last he stood there a moment, watching the woman in front of him gushing at the author, clutching her signed book and talking about how the love story inside had touched her, changed her, made her cry.

Silly little thing… she had no idea she was sandwiched between the very star-crossed lovers she’d read about; no idea that it had not been a work of fiction at all, but a real lived thing.

She shuffled away and Yongjun stepped in with that casual swagger of his, dropping the book on the table with an unceremonious thunk, his free hand tucked into his pocket. He gazed down at Lim Yubin along the bridge of his nose — not something he could usually pull off considering their difference in stature. He waited for the other to acknowledge him before he spoke.

“Little fantastical, don’t you think? A gay dragon love story — people really read this shit?” he scoffed, though there was a glimmer of fire in his eyes as he lifted his brow at the other, paying no mind to the disconcerted murmurs of the crowd behind him.

No início do verão sul-coreano, em 1 de junho de 1994, nascia Kim Yongjun. Foi concebido em Jung-gu, distrito pouco populoso, onde viveu todas as suas experiências pessoais por 8 anos, mas precisou partir depois de assistir, pela televisão de casa, o falecimento dos pais sendo transmitido como um acidente de trânsito fatal. Naquele momento, entendia que arranhões em seus joelhos não eram nada comparados com a dor da perda; a pior das dores. Sua última lembrança feliz da família, a qual agarrava com um resquício de força, envolvia os sorrisos dos pais e o filhote de jindo, apelidado de Nun, envolto de seus braços — presente do pai, momentos antes do ocorrido. O pesar do luto caía sob a cabeça de uma criança sem parentes próximos, mas uma única mulher — antiga cuidadora da casa — disposta a tomar a responsabilidade de criar um filho que não era seu. 

Acolhido por Nam Sohee que, sem filhos, vivia em Seongdong-gu com seu marido, Joo Jeosoo, um sargento aposentado. Longe de casa, Yongjun pôde passar — ao lado do inseparável cão — dias que pareciam infinitos em angústia, um após o outro. O bom convívio com o casal não durou mais de duas semanas, quando Jaesoo mostrou seu primeiro traço agressivo, depois de beber litros e mais litros de álcool, algo que se repetia ao decorrer dos anos que se arrastavam. Soube que não era o único a planejar fugas, quando Sohee partiu pela porta da frente, levando consigo uma pequena quantia do que juntava. A outra metade, deixava para o filho de criação. 

Novamente, voltava a ter a presença de Nun como a única. Já velho, o cachorro não tinha o mesmo vigor, mas ainda era a sua maior companhia e lembrança de casa. A saudade não sumia ou diminuía, mas lhe dava a trégua que precisava para seguir, pelo menos até que precisasse lidar com o jeito excessivamente violento do sargento outra vez. Coisa que não demorava a acontecer e, por motivos que nem ele mesmo sabia, se encontrava ao chão gélido do próprio quarto; a visão matizada em vermelho e o sangue escorrendo no canto da boca. Situação que se tornava ainda mais recorrente ao que a saúde do husky piorava e Yongjun, como podia, tratava com o que achava em casa. Dessa forma, segundo o homem, as despesas seriam absurdas, caso não fosse dado um fim no cachorro. Eram os únicos momentos em que não cedia sua raiva, embora soubesse das agressões que poderia receber. Só não contava que, em algum momento, ele fosse ter coragem de, com as próprias mãos, sacrificar o animal.

Havia sido a primeira vez a ver seu fiel companheiro, e extensão que o ligava aos pais, da pior maneira possível. Em seus braços, o jindo não respirava e, mais uma vez, o luto voltava à tona. Não havia só destroçado todo o seu controle disciplinar, assim como destravava toda a fúria, todas as emoções engavetadas, durante anos, no lugar mais longínquo do cérebro. As comportas arrebentaram e Jaesoo estava no caminho. Talvez uma luta corporal não fosse a mais bem planejada, mas era isso que fazia seu corpo sentir que, finalmente, reagia. Naquela noite, pela primeira vez em longos anos, a eficiência da revolta tomava força e, no que era atingido, atingia. Naquela mesma noite, onde o vento uivava entre as ruas de Seul, uma parte de si mesmo despertava aos ataques do pai adotivo, cujo sangue — misturado ao seu — escorria nos dedos.

Anos mais tarde, muitas memórias daquela noite eram difusas, enquanto algumas se destacavam em uma clareza perfeita e palpável, como a cicatriz que carregava abaixo do peito. Por outro lado, Yongjun não mais voltava nesse passado sem que houvesse um grande motivo. De volta para Jung-gu, era afastado de todo o vasto e doloroso sofrimento colecionado. Assim, ele recomeçava em um apartamento alugado, tateando seu futuro com paciência e uma nova companhia de quatro patas. Pouco depois de adquirir sua formação como médico veterinário, mesma profissão do pai e única a qual sabia ter sucesso, ouviu-se falar da morte do sargento devido ao uso exacerbado de medicamentos, mas nada daquilo realmente pesava. Suas dores tomavam um foco alternativo e, mesmo sabendo que o esforço para apagar o passado podia ser inútil, existia sempre uma maneira de seguir em frente, com seus traumas e lesões.

Soonyoung’s daughter, Minseo, was stacking pillows like bricks under your son’s instructions. Joshua’s son, Hyunwoo, was acting like a guard by the window. And at the center of it all was Yoon Yongjun his son commanding like a general in his mismatched socks, holding a remote control.

“Operation: No Nap.,” Yongjun shouted into the remote control, eyes gleaming.

Seungcheol’s daughter Nari, looked conflicted. “But I like naps…”

“Sleep is for the weaks,” Yongjun declared. “Real heroes stay awake.”

You pinched the bridge of your nose as Seungcheol, Soonyoung, and Joshua erupted into laughter from the kitchen. You turned to Jeonghan with a disbelief expression. “He’s really your son.”

Jeonghan looked offended. “ Our son.”

“He just convinced a group of kids to pout so they could eat cookies,” you deadpanned. “That’s classic you move.”

“That’s classic smart,” he corrected smugly, raising his cup. “Strategic. Genius, even.”

“Jeonghan.”

“What? Yongjun is a natural leader.”

“A natural troublemaker, you mean,” you teased, sitting beside him and nudging his shoulder. “Where did he inherit that from, huh?”

Jeonghan gave you a knowing smile, eyes twinkling with mischief. “Definitely you.”

You snorted. “Me? Fyi I was a quiet kid back then ”

“You married me.”

“Touché.”

From the living room, there was a loud crash, followed by Yongjun yelling, “Abort mission! Nari fell on the base!”

Everyone scrambled. Seungcheol sprinted like an Olympian. Mingyu tripped over a toy truck. You stood to go help, but Jeonghan casually patted your arm.

“She’s fine,” he said calmly. “They padded the floor with pillows, remember?”

“Still! You’re too calm about this”

Jeonghan grinned. “I’ve survived you. I can survive our son.”

Later, after everyone had gone home and the house was finally quiet, you lay in bed beside him, watching Yongjun sleep with a bandaid on his forehead (for dramatic effect, not an actual injury).

“He’s going to give us gray hairs sooner or later,” you whispered.

Jeonghan chuckled, brushing a hand over your hair. “Yeah... but he’s going to make life interesting.”

You gave him a look. “He’s already giving you headaches.”

“And I love every second of it.”

You paused, then smirked. “Still think he didn’t get that troublemaker gene from you?”

He reached over and flicked your forehead gently. “You fell for the troublemaker gene. So technically, it’s your fault.”

You rolled your eyes, laughing into your pillow.

Meanwhile, in his sleep, Yunseo muttered, “Operation: Cookie 2.0…”

Jeonghan groaned, face-palming. “I take it back. We’re doomed.”

When Nimue opened those clear blue eyes he would indeed find the dragon nearby the banks of the lake, sprawled out on some rocks like a great lizard sunning itself — though there were no scales to be seen on the male; only the shadow of a mighty dragon aura clinging to his slight stature.

Head propped in his palm, his smile would widen a little as he met the male’s eye, having been lazing on this rock quietly for some time while watching the fae slumber amongst the grasses. He had been contemplating whether or not to wake him, but the youthful stir-craze inside him made it difficult to suffer the boredom when there was such entertainment to be had.

“Have I ever struck you as a man of simple wishes, lake maiden?” He reminded the fae with a lift of a brow, the notch of an old scar there shining smooth in the sunlight.

“Besides, if I wanted you asleep I would have brought you some books from my human collection — they’re good for a yawn; no magic needed” he stretched, yawning himself as if by demonstration.

These warm, hazy summer days were some of Nimue's favourites, if he was truly honest with himself. The cooler autumn and the spring breezes were just as pleasant, and winter would bring with it snow and a crisp layer of ice over the lake that was beautiful tto look at and often went untouched, but these long summer days and warm summer nights filled with the sun on his face as he dozed in a gentle breeze off of the water? They were his favourite.

They were when the wildlife was out in force, filling what could often be a very empty space with life. And the sun was always warm, filtering through the trees, the grass and flowers both reaching up towards it's rays. The bank of the lake was softest then, too. The dirt dry enough not to make a mess, but the greenery soft and full, making for the perfect mattress away from his little cove behind the waterfall.

All that was to say… yes. He was asleep. And perhaps it should've been more concerning that he hadn't realised anyone was even here until he heard that voice. A good job it was Yongjun… Not many would pass up such an opportunity for lifelong power.

He hummed, lips smacking softly as he came around and a hand drifting to rub at a blue eye as he squinted up at his visitor.

"Define asleep…" he hummed, a smile already starting to tug at his lips at the sight. Because not only was it company… It was Yongjun. As frustrating as he could be, as infuriating as it was to not know what the other wanted, he had grown fond of seeing him.

"Is that your wish, Yongjun? For me to be asleep? I could have that arranged, though it's rather a waste of a good bit of magic if you ask me."

Nascido na Coreia, mudou-se para Gênova com a família logo após ser preso. Lá, assumiram novos nomes e sobrenomes, ainda mantendo-os em coreano para evitar estranhezas.

Seu pai entrou no ramo de venda de artes falsas quando se viu sem dinheiro para sustentar a família. Ele e a mãe de Yongjun eram artistas pouco conhecidos na Coreia.

Seu verdadeiro nome é Park Minho.

Por ter crescido nesse mundo, Yongjun aprendeu desde cedo como enganar e manipular. Sempre mantém o sorriso simpático no rosto, uma de suas armas.

Ele gosta de aparentar ser um bom jovem, às vezes um pouco inocente e tímido, escondendo quem é de verdade. Mas, por outro lado, assim como sua mãe, adora esbanjar dinheiro em coisas caras e é capaz de tudo para conseguir o que quer.
