Jon calling himself a “motherless bastard” is sooooo ironic because he actually has a shit ton of mother figures. Lyanna Stark, his biological mother who spent her last few moments ensuring his survival. Wylla the wetnurse, who did what Lyanna couldn’t and nursed baby Jon to health. Ashara Dayne, who was at the very least involved in the secret of his birth and keeping it (thus ensuring he was safe from Robert). And some random fisherman’s daughter, who according to legend knew that she couldn’t care for her babe and gave him to Ned Stark for a chance of survival. Whoever his mother was, she loved him fiercely. And everyone knows about his mothers. Everyone - but him.

Been playing around with the concept of long haired Jonny a bit, and my impression is that usually jonny doesn't get to grow out his hair much because it gets burnt/pulled/cut off in fights, so when there is a lot of action going on, especially when they are on an adventure lavishing in violence and more violence, it just..stays short. It doesn't help that he barely takes care of it and sheds like crazy (speaking as someone who also sheds hair easely, but I keep it long)

Now, sometimes through the millenia, it takes a bit of time to seek out good violence, so whenever the crew can do nothing else but stay on the aurora, jonnys gets to grow out his hair a bit! He honestly doesnt care enough to cut it off (and noone trusts him with scissors so they dont suggest it) but he still has some sensory issues from time to time, though he doesnt count them as relevant enough. Brian notices though, especially when cuddling, so he usually plays with his hair, pulls it back, all that. Brian generally admires any physical trait about jonnys body, as he doesn't have one of his own (that is his impression of himself at least). Usually there ARE fights between the crew mates that damage jonnys hair still, sometimes enough to have it all short again, or at least charred, but I think during this particular span of time where brian and jonny are comfortable with eachother there just happens to be more time spent cuddling brian than bullying tim! I don't know why I'm putting so much thought into this but the little things matter to me aah

forever thinking about how in Joan's first night in the Brownstone in the first episode, Sherlock purposely unplugged her morning alarm clocks at least partially as a way to show how he didn't actually need her or her services, followed by him spending the better part of the rest of the show pretty much acting as her own personal alarm clock 'cause he just couldn't wait to tell Joan what he found out while she slept and get her input/get her to come with him to wherever the case needed them to go so that they could do it together <3

no one will ever understand how much tim laughlin means to me, his kindness and fearlessness is an example for times like these when people of the community are still being harassed and murdered for loving who they love. i truly wish him the happiest of birthdays wherever he is (i'm betting hawk's taking him to the theatre tonight in case anyone's wondering) and i would also like to thank him for being so persistent in a world that continuously tries to undermine us for who we are. even though he isn't here anymore, he left a mark in many of us and i think that's ultimately the best thing that could happen to someone.

hmm, just thinking about how Jon would be actually and horrifically traumatized during s3. he got kidnapped and tortured for a month by an evil mannequin (yeah we joke about the lotion but imagine what they had to do to keep him from trying to get out - tied up much of the time, allowed to sleep?  maybe - forcefed probably or at least extremely malnourished - probably beat up a few times at first by our lads B&H when he tried to escape - and probably honestly wishing for death - i mean 100% my guy would accept Michael’s offer, this man had been through hell and needed a quicker way out. god.). oh and then he also was nearly killed by Daisy, serious enough to leave that damn scar, and had to help her bury a guy she HAD killed. and then Jude Perry and all that horror that a bad burn causes - at home therapy i imagine to get any kind of feeling back into his dominant hand, i mean hell, he probably became somewhat ambidextrous at that point...

i just think about this so much. he goes through so much hell, and Tim hates him, and... just.  i mean Martin is there but Jon’s hardly there enough to really see him. no wonder Georgie tells him to talk to him, he’s basically the only other person at the institute who even treats him like a human. he’s probably so traumatized by touch at this point that he can’t be touched at all without thinking about Nikola or Daisy. and heaven forbid him being ok with shampoo or soap or aloe for his burns because it reminds him of being manhandled by inhuman hands. 

i just... it makes me so sad. A+ jonny sims for writing a character more horror-appropriate than this man.
