also, and this isn't interesting to anybody, but Amy Cavalier's* new character tag is "this ship says my name like an elegy"
I'm still debating on a character tag for Lee West-Moreno** because "you don't love me? big fucking deal" feels like reducing them to the part of themselves that they hate the most, and the narrative forces them to contend with that part a lot but my tagging system doesn't have to.
Elly Moreno/Owens/O'Hara*** is still "live girls dance, dead men float."
the other three protagonists of this novel**** also need tags (it's a heist novel, there are a lot of POV's).
*she's fun! neuroscientist, recent hard pivot from True Neutral to Chaotic Good. she's going to destroy the evil corporation she used to work for and also Lee's marriage. lying about several significant things, but it's for Good Reasons, so how mad can you get?
**they're fun, too! they want so badly to be a good guy. unfortunately, helping destroy an evil corporation doesn't cancel out cheating on your wife. (yes, Amy, even if the corporation is hurting thousands of people and you only have one wife). steering towards the unpleasant revelation that someone they love played them like a Rubix cube.
***also fun! making a valiant attempt to do, if not less crime, then at least significantly less murder. keeps changing her name every time she has a major life trauma. also steering right towards some unpleasant arguments about the nature of honesty.
****also featuring:
Anastasia, who has wildly miscalibrated on "just because you told me about your childhood trauma within 35 minutes of meeting me doesn't mean I have to tell you my real name before we sleep together, right?"
Charlotte, the ship's nonverbal pilot who's gonna sue her mom with the crime money
and Maggie, who is fresh off of solving her Complicated Dad's complicated murder and may or may not be Processing about it still. all three of these women are exceptionally badbrains but Ana's never been institutionalized about it.

hey. hope this message doesn't bother you. I love you. I love your work. you are one of my favorite fic authors, I am absolutely obsessed with everything you write. reread everything ten times over, drarry or not, fluffy or angsty - even when it absolutely shatters my heart (e.g. for lack of wanting, SUCH a great fic btw i'm so obsessed with it). the four doors? life changing. two to lie and one to listen? engraved into my brain for eternity. what's mine is yours? what a ride holy shit, im VERY normal about it. wrapped? my comfort read. and so it goes.
if I could aggressively smother you with kudos and love I WOULD!!!
awhile ago you said that there's no such thing as "big deals" in fandom and I 100% agree but at the same time you are a big deal TO ME!!! not in the sense of any kind of hierarchy but purely based on the fact that I think you are such a cool person and your writing is amazing and poignant and your presence in fandom makes it so much better. it's been a pleasure following you here on tumblr and just reading your tags and posts.
idk I just think you rule. that's it. thank you for hanging with us. MWAH 💛

Just saw this on Quora and wtf:
I may not like Madoka Magica(and in fact anyone who follows me for long enough will know that I hate that anime with a burning passion), but even so that still doesn't make comments like this okay.
I am so tired of people acting like lesbianism(and non-straight identities in general but in this case we're talking about lesbians) is inherently sexual, deviant, and inappropriate. These are the same type of people who think that kids can't be gay or even be told about the possibility of homosexuality because it will groom their young minds or something, as if being gay is something you're groomed into being. And I am sick of people acting like a character can't be gay/lesbian because it doesn't fit their personality or because they're a child or because they're "innocent" or some stupid-ass shit like you're just reinforcing the idea that straight is the default and that straight is morally more pure and "normal" and acceptable than being gay. I bet Larry Koopa doesn't care if a kid the same age as or younger than Madoka(who is 14) is portrayed as straight, because to them that's not inherently sexual the way that being gay is. But a kid being gay? Now don't you think that's going a little bit too far?
This person definitely thinks that all lesbians are mean and hateful and bitter, probably because they measure a woman's level of decency in accordance to how attracted to men they are(which is how we got that ugly fucking "mean bisexual, even meaner lesbian" joke in the first place).
I agree with Peyton Peyons. Madoka is a lesbian, end of story, and nobody gives a shit whether you want to call her your waifu or not, because she doesn't even know you exist. Get out of her, dawg.

You know what, call it a "hot take" or whatever but when it comes to character designs in My Hero Academia, my favorite ones are the female character designs.
If you asked me which designs I like the most the list with mostly consist of the female characters.
That isn't to say I hate the male ones because I do have favorites and some female designs don't catch my eyes as much.
But just like in general of hairstyles, eye colors, skin tones, the vibes... whatever I find myself more attentive to the female character designs than I am for the male ones.
