a human morming (wheatley fic)

notes: there is not a lot of plot in this just bc i rlly wanted to write vibes wjfjwjfj

anywho this is a blue sky inspired wheatley fic that i wrote on the bus hope its good.

its just wheatley waking up early and feeling the simple pleasures of the morning. fluffy wjfjejf

WHEATLEY AWOKE WITH A GROAN, his back stiff and his head not wanting to stay horizontal for much longer.

it was a new experience for him honestly. typically before and after he had gotten his new flesh body, he would awake at around 9am-ish give or take a few minutes (and even then he often woke up from falling off the couch or mattress he was sleeping on) which often meant wheatley awoke to an already bright blue sky for the majority of his time as a human. the smell of cooked pastries rolling softly from the warm kitchen and chell's radio humming quietly songs to fill the air.

however, today was the rare exception to all of this as wheatley checked the clock on the wall and saw numbers reading "7:29am" in a dull yet solid white.

kicking the blankets off, he slowly rolled himself to the edge of the bed before stopping just at the right moment before he would usually fall. his plain t-shirt rolled up slightly and his faded red shorts clung tightly to his slim legs.

sitting upright, wheatley quickly stretched his arms before getting up and opening the door. trying to open it as quiet as possible.

the door creaked open, and it's here where wheatley fully realized the differences between his usual waking time and now.

the house was oddly still, where before the hustle of noise from outdoors and the kitchen would fill the silent air like a sort of melody that crept into your mind, came nothing but the hum of the fridge and the sound of wind softly rustling outside his window.

it felt somewhat eerie in a way. the silence as haunting as the chill back There, with nothing but the same white walls, cold gray surfaces, and mechanical hum of machinery surrounding you.

yet, as wheatley took a few tentative steps out into the hallway and into the living room, he could feel the comforting familiarity within the surroundings ease his rising anxiety. the floor comfortingly still, not moving an inch. the hum of the fridge consistent in its melody but holding an odd human feel to it.

it reminded him that he wasn't There anymore. free from Her grasp, and above the desolate chambers he grew used to. 

it also reminded him that he was human now- well again. and a slight unease began to creep up from his chest, a familiar -yet quieter- voice slowly rising in his mind. worries and anxieties threatening to spill like a tsunami of thought.

exhaling, he found himself opening the front door quietly and stepped out into the porch.

the cold morning air bit at wheatley's t-shirt, it's breeze flowing through his blond tousled hair and figure like water. a soft golden yellow accenting the grass in an almost soft vintage glaze. the sky as blue and clear as ever, yet it almost seemed softer than the 9 am skies he grew used to.

he stared at the town of eaden for a while from the comfort of Chell's porch. the usually alive and thriving town in a quiet pause of peace. those awake walking at a steady pace while  the rest were in their beds dreaming of frogs and other human things. 

much like chell, wheatley thought to himself, a slight blush rising to his face as he ran a hand through his hair. his arms leaning against the railing comfortingly.

he supposed being human was a lot easier than he initially thought to be, if it meant this sort of peace and domesticity was to be found here. he *had* managed to survive being human before being put into a core after all.

wheatley smiled, closing his eyes and allowing the warm feeling of ease flow through him and linger.

suddenly wheatley could hear the familiar rhythm of footsteps coming from the door, the noise slowly fading in before becoming crisp and close.

as the noise sounded to be right beside him, he felt the pressure of someone's head leaning against his arm. soft wisps of hair grazing his skin and a familiar warmth beside him.

he didn't need to open his eyes to know it was chell. 

"morning" chell mumbled softly, a smile evident in her voice as she yawned.

wheatley grinned, opening his eyes again as he tilted his head to rest against hers. "g'morning"

an easy quiet rested between them with nothing but the wind filling the air.

as wheatley wrapped a loose arm around chell, hand comfortingly on top of one of her own. a slow and welcoming thought came to his mind.

and wheatley smiled.

heeseung - on the quiet and shy side at first, but he's also Not Shy if that makes sense?? no that was not supposed to be an itzy reference but his confidence really comes out on stage and he's definitely gotten a lot more comfortable in front of the camera. the rest of enha coined him as the funniest member and he's sort of like the "fake maknae" of the group bc he messes around a lot, but i think he's also very sincere and considerate when he takes care of the others. he's also extremely hard working and if you watch iland you can see how his insecurities played into that D;

jay - LOL omg i gush over this man so much. he's very honest and vulnerable at times, which i think leads to his "embarrassing" moments that he never intends to create LMFAO but jay is actually like. so sweet 🥹 he really cares for them so much (when they visit home for the holidays, he brings riki along because his family's in japan sob) and he has so much passion and charisma that it reeally shines through. i think he tries to put up a cool image, which he is!! he is cool. 😡 but he's also rlly cute HAHAH he's just such a sweet guy i feel like he doesn't give himself enough credit for being so doting!!

jake - omg icon of growth :') jake had the shortest period of training out of all the members i believe, so he joined iland with 9 months of training! can be pretty soft-spoken at times and shy but he has a personality that makes it rlly easy to get along with him and talk to him, considering he was such a hot commodity with the ilanders LOL and during the show he got very close with sunghoon, who used to be very very shy <3 i think he has a rlly chill personality and that's what makes him get along with people so well

sunghoon - okay a lot of people see sunghoon as awkward and reserved and i think he can be like that sometimes, but i also think he's like. in my opinion. the funniest member in the group LOL his humor is very unexpected but he unintentionally is just rlly funny sometimes :') i think he grew a lot with enha bc he was super shy in iland (jay became friends with him as trainees bc hoon was v shy) and i think bc of ice skating he wasn't able to experience a lot of things that "normal" teenagers get to. also i think a lot of ppl saw him as a pretty face at first but i rlly admire that his talent really shone during iland, and he improved even more afterward. he was a super hard worker to begin with but i think iland helped push him to be more ambitious

sunoo - was so sad bc he seemed so insecure about his talent after iland :(( he is SOOO good tho, like his vocals and dance improved so much and he's just able to pull off any concept :') the members sometimes treat him like the maknae because he's just so cute and charming HAHAH but i think he's also secretly a mastermind strategist >:) i think someone once said he's the glue of enha or something, and i whole-heartedly believe that bc he brings so much energy to the group

jungwon - jungwon was always capable since iland but i was so shocked when they gave him leader bc he's so young! but he's so diligent and hardworking that i can't imagine him Not being the leader now :') initially i think he was pretty frazzled trying to balance such a heavy role while trying to let every member have their time to shine, but now he's seemed to have gotten the hang of it and is a lot more comfortable now <3 his sarcasm and remarks literally never cease to make me gasp LMFAOO he can be FOUL

riki - the initial vibe that i got from riki was that he is SOOO ambitious. like when he walked into iland, he knew exactly what he wanted and he worked his ass off for it. i thought that was such an incredible quality for someone as young as him to have :o again, he is so young, so i think it's so funny and cute that he wants to be a grown up. but i think he means it more in the way that he wants to take care of the members and provide more support. he's spoiled too much by the members to do that tho 😭 ofc he still has a playful side and teases the members a lot. he's also a huge perfectionist and it shows in their performances because his dancing his incredible :o

Hi!!! I was wondering if I can get a ship for txt, nct, and ateez pls? I’ll really try not to make this long, but it’s hard sometimes lol.

Anyways, I’m an 18 year old 03’ liner and I’m 5’6. As for looks, I’m african american so i have dark skin, brown eyes and cinnamon colored hair. I cut my hair really short above my ears. I look rather young for my age (unfortunately). I’m rather slim and i have long legs and arms so people say I look even taller than what i am. I have large round eyes a big forehead, a button nose, and thick(ish) lips with round cheeks(ok now i understand why ppl think i’m vv young 🙄) But nowadays i’m more confident in myself and it’s no longer an insecurity of mine. I’d like to say i’m very stylish yet i can’t pick an aesthetic for the life of me.

To sum up my fav aesthetic/style, i would have to say something that’s dark but sophisticated. Like dark academia, but add a bit more of an alt/goth style to it. I like listening to visual kei and rock music, but to be honest, I love all music, even country some times.

I’m from the south of usa, so that has influenced how i am A LOT. I usually don’t have an accent, but whenever i feel a really strong emotion, I get a really strong southern accent and it’s kind of funny. I also tend to go outside without any shoes or socks. I like playing with my pets outside the most, I have two dogs (one is a rottweiler and one is a bull dog), my cat (just a black cat) and my bird. I love love love animals. I love everything to do with nature as well, i feel a deep connection with nature, and once, i even cried while watching bees pollinate flowers help lol.

I’m very sensitive, and not in the “i’m always crying way”. Yet, when i do cry, i tend to cry over the smallest of things, like the bee one. But, I try my hardest to comfort others and help others because there seriously is no other happiness in the world that makes me more happy than making others happy.

I like to talk a lot, as well (as you can see), and i’ll talk about every topic. I tend to talk most about child birth and genetics weirdly enough, it’s so interesting to me. But i also love to talk about astrology, space, and conspiracy theories. I’m highly spiritual. I’m also highly creative. I love drawing, singing, dancing, acting, all of that. Drawing has always been my strongest suit before i somehow got bored of it, but i still draw every once and a while.

I also like playing sports, as i’m naturally athletic. I did ballet, tap dance, gymnastics, track and field, cheerleading, soccer, and softball. (i think cheer is a sport and i’ll argue with anyone on that). I’ve lived in america, germany, and south korea, and i want to travel to so many more places as i grow older.

As for relationship stuff, I’ve never been in a relationship. I’m scared of boys to be honest. I was bullied in school a lot for being “ugly” and it was always by boys so i’ve never really had the best experience with them. I’m still trying to gain my confidence so that i could try dating.

My ideal type is someone smart (though i don’t hate himbos lmao), but i like someone smart and mature. I like someone who works hard, but not someone who’s too serious. With people, i like to have those love/hate relationships lol like we make fun of each other but we also have our soft moments. As for looks, i don’t rlly have an ideal type, yet there’s a couple things that i would go for. I like someone who’s taller than me, has bigger hands than me (mine are 18cm 😥), and has nice legs (i tend to like thicker legs, but i don’t discriminate). I do think smaller guys around my height are so cute too tho, like UGH I CANT CHOOSE.

My ideal date would probably be anything other than going to a restaurant. Maybe later on in the relationship that would be fine, but to be honest, i’m very awkward and shy at first, so it would just be weird. I find that doing something fun together really let’s you find out more about a person rather than just talking. So maybe an amusement park, or even doing an escape room together.

As for love languages, i’m not a very touchy person. Sometimes, i’m STARVING for a hug, but most of the time i don’t like to be touched. I think my love language is acts of service, and idk what’s it’s called, but just trying to find out abt someone. no, it wasn’t attraction at first sight. at least, not in the way people would expect. you, who always kicked self-love into your friends and who found it easy to emphasize with people, saw a man in need of a warm hug. 

dazai liked the challenge of making you attracted to him. rather did dazai know it was the start of a friendship so tight that it made you feel like family.

sometimes, dazai would show a mature side of him and take the fault upon him. and sometimes, dazai didn’t have the strength to. then he would feel a certain emotion realizing he had made you worried, sad and guilty. at those moments, dazai would wear a completely pink outfit that you once bought for him the next day. dazai wanted to see that beautiful and warm smile on your face. 

talking about presents- dazai knew how much you loved anything that looks cute. if dazai made the conclusion that you had a bad day, he would ditch work and shop for keychains or plushies and surprise you. 

dazai would always ask a drawing of him in return as joke. he loved seeing you draw and he often observed your hand movements. seeing you draw, calmed his mind. dazai would also ask you to draw weird but specific drawings so he could mess with his partner.

Sometimes you do commissions for paintings/crafts - it’s a great way to destress whenever your musical career starts becoming very high pressure

Your shared apartment with Ushijima is filled with paintings, sketches and watercolors that you’ve created and little DIYs that you’ve made throughout the years

Overall it has a very cozy/homey vibe - and its soothing for you to return home after hours upon hours of rehearsal, lessons and practice
