WEEKLY KNOXVILLE ALBUM PICK
week 3: Cops On Acid by Cops On Acid
link: <https://archive.org/details/cops-on-acid-cops-on-acid>
favorite track: track 2
i'm cheating a little bit this week. Cops On Acid is local to Asheville, just 1.5 hours northeast of Knoxville.
As far as i can find, this band is not online. there is a soundclick (?) page i could find and that was it. i've only seem them once. yes, they dressed like cops, yes, they were on acid. The set fell apart near the end. the drums got scattered. The band all stumbled around stage. It was awesome.
This album is one of the two releases im aware of, the other is a VHS that i'll get around to digitizing soon.
Cops On Acid is loose and gooey, there's this push and pull in groove throughout the release that really makes it. Everything is washed out. The drums are right behind you and they're broken. The guitar and synths are somewhere below. The vocals are coming from the other side of the canyon.

OK it's been two weeks since we stopped talking i only knew you for 1
This is absolutely ridiculous, dreamt about you AGAIN. Well not necessarily. I was traveling to knoxville in the dream and cried a lot because I remembered going places there with you and it made me sad. I surely don't even miss you this much, I didn't know you. I just really miss how happy I felt, the comfort of knowing our potential. I miss the version of me I was when we spoke. I know that's still somewhere inside of me, waiting to come out. Waiting to find someone to love. I wish It was easier for that version to come out just to love myself. I've been watching ATLA and it turns out I'm actually an Airbender, according to the 4 quizzes I took. I'd have been excited to tell you that. And I'm still going to play Outer wilds, I'm just hesitant to buy it because I hate buying digital copies of games. I really hope things are going well for you and that you're happy, and recovered from the slump you were in upon realizing there wasn't any real romantic attraction for me. I hope you got a job at one of the salons you wanted to work at. You deserve good things, and I won't let myself be bitter towards you for not feeling the same way about me because that's just life. Life's not always fair. C'est la vie. <3 ....c'est la Vē hahahahha

The tomato girl.
Part 5 of ????
Pairing: Steve-O x fem!reader
Plot: Y/N and Steve-O were clearly in love with each other, but well, if no one speaks up how were they supposed to know?
Warnings: angst, mention of people getting injured, but really just some mentioning of blood
masterlist | previous chapter
song to listen to while reading:
Tumblr media
"First of all.", Y/N began as she held on to Johnny's hand. Hot tears were starting to threaten their way down her cheeks. The taller man, simply put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to him."Oh god.", she cleared her throat: "This is going to be harder than I thought. I was thinking about what to say, I even made an effort to write it down but I couldn't. All I can really say is, that I had the best time with you guys over the last decade. I love you all so much, it is suffocating and it nearly made me decide to not leave. But I have to, no matter how often Chris wears a wig around me- I mean at some point I need some real female friends in my life, right?"
At that Johnny threw his head back to let out deep laughter, the other guys joining in as well.
"You're okay?", a voice asked and Steveo who leaned against the doorframe turned his head. Chris, who made his way towards him leaned his shoulder against the wall to face him. "In moments like this one, I wish I could drink some booze." Chris chuckled and looked over at Y/N. A heavy silence fell over the two guys.
"I am going to miss her, Chris."
They both knew it was too late for any form of real confession. Y/N was leaving and telling her how he felt about her, Steveo knew that it would simply be unfair to her. He missed his moment. And it was breaking his heart.
"What the fuck?", Y/N grunts at the sound of her doorbell going off. It is still pitch black outside so she unhurriedly reaches for the baseball bat that lays underneath her bed. Silently she makes her way toward the front door. She passes the kitchen and catches a glimpse of the small digit clock above the stove. Who is coming around at 3:40 in the morning?! She peeks through the tiny hole in the door and wrinkles her forehead when she recognizes the man.
"What are you doing here at 3:40?", Y/N asks as she opens the front-door. Steve whose jacket is sticky from the rain smiles at her apologetically and Y/N can see the uneasiness in his eyes: "Are you okay?" "I really need to talk to you."
"Hey, there you are.", Y/N let out as she stepped outside. Steveo was sitting on the steps of the bar, smoking a cigarette. A soft but somewhat sad smile emerged on his lips as he moved a bit to the left to let her sit down next to him. "I was looking all over for you, Dave told me you might be out here. Why aren't you inside with the other’s?"
"I got a headache.", he lied and took another thick breath. Y/N nodded and crossed her arms in front of her chest to keep her warm. For a few moments, they sat in silence until the young woman cleared her throat.
"I am going to miss you.", she whispered, quietly and let out a shaky chuckle:"Like a lot, actually." Steveo didn't react. He just took another deep breath before he answered: "Do you know, that this is the same bar where you first took care of me after I received a beating from some random guy. I had a small cut over my lip and you sat down next to me on the ground while I saw things doubled."
Y/N didn't look at him. Instead, she just began to cry. Tears rolled down her cheeks and fragile sobs fled her lips. Steveo simply put his arm around her shoulder to pull her closer. He shushed her a few times, but when it didn't help he only sighed. For a moment they simply sat there, next to each other, on those dirty steps. From inside he heard the loud music and Knoxville's iconic laughter. He didn't have to say anything when she looked up at him after a few minutes. Through teary and slightly swollen eyes she was able to see the look on his face. He didn't have to say it, he really didn't, she was able to see the 'yeah I know' written all over it.

Sea level is rising. This threatens the future of millions of people around the world. It also threatens our cultural past.
“It’s really the history of our species that’s at risk in a lot of ways,” says Meghan Howey. She’s an archaeologist at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. Humans have lived near the coast for thousands of years. In that time, they created and left behind many cultural sites that hold pieces of the past. These are famous places such as Rapa Nui (Easter Island) in the central Pacific Ocean and the canal city of Venice in Italy. But they also include many smaller and lesser known sites. They range from Native American villages to early colonial settlements. If rising seas destroy these sites, “we’re going to lose [those people’s] stories too,” Howey says.
David Anderson is an archaeologist at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. “If you want to learn about what people did in the past, archaeology is the best way to do that,” he says.
Anderson and other researchers recently used online data sets to look at the dangers posed by rising seas to cultural sites in the southeastern United States. A one-meter (39-inch) rise in sea level could destroy more than 13,000 of those places, they found. These include some well-known historical sites found in Jamestown in Virginia, St. Augustine in Florida, and Charleston, S.C. Many Native American sites also are at risk. The team’s November 2017 report appeared in PLOS One.
That study looked at just one region. But elsewhere around the world, countless other sites also face risks from climate’s impact on sea level.

Howey did a similar count in New Hampshire. Up to 14 percent of the state’s heritage sites could be lost to sea level rise, she found. Studies have also found similar risks — in the range of 15 to 20 percent — globally, she notes. “And that’s only what we know about,” she adds.
What now?
Climate change is underway. So now is the time to start thinking about sea-level rise, Anderson says. “How are we going to protect the important places in the landscape? We need to know what’s out there and what’s threatened.” Otherwise, it may become too late to save at least some of these sites.
Efforts to limit the worst impacts from climate change, including sea level rise, will require cutting greenhouse-gas emissions, for example. And maybe taking steps to limit flooding in important areas.
Another approach might be to move cultural treasures. But projects like that are often costly. It’s unlikely that funds to do that will be available for every site. And some treasures simply can’t be moved.
But high-tech tools might help preserve knowledge of those treasures before physical sites are lost, says Mark McCoy. He’s an archaeologist at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He recently suggested how this might be done at many sites in Polynesia. That’s an area composed of many Pacific low-lying islands.
Rising seas endanger many of those islands — and their cultural treasures. If researchers used only traditional methods to map those places, “most would be gone before you got to them,” he says. Satellites with cameras and other remote-sensing tools, however, can more quickly and easily find and map many of these sites, he says. Those data can also help researchers assess the risks to particular spots.
Tumblr media
Digital scanning technologies can preserve images of imperiled sites for people around the world to see. This image shows the contours of a giant statue on Rapa Nui, or Easter Island.
CREDIT: CYARK
Scanning and imaging tools can help, McCoy explains. For example, LIDAR is a type of system that uses lasers to make precise 3-D scans of objects. High-resolution digital photography can make detailed images. Computer technologies also can create 3-D virtual reality models. They may not save cultural sites, but they could preserve at least some knowledge about them for the future. His report appeared in the January 2018 issue of Sustainability.

Racing Formula Fords in the SVRA’s National Championships Is a Blast
I arrived early to High Plains Raceway, a racetrack about an hour’s drive from Denver. It was going to be a long day and I was clinging tightly to my hot tea as I wandered about the paddock in the chilly air, looking for someone to point me in the right direction. I was there to compete in an annual celebrity race, an event held across the last few years to raise money for the Morgan Adam’s Foundation, an organization that funds childhood cancer research.
A random drawing decided who would drive which of 10 “race” cars. The car roster was comprised five bone-stock—except for the change to DOT 4 brake fluid—base BMW 3 and 4 Series models and five Mini Cooper S’s. Ten pro drivers would team with 10 amateur club and vintage drivers for the 45-minute enduro race, with one mandatory driver change. The non-pros had generously donated money to the foundation to have the dubious honor of co-driving with one of us professionals.
I had no idea who my amateur co-driver would be until I arrived. I was told his name was Charlie Daniels. “Really?” I said. “Is he a country singer by any chance?”
“No, Charlie’s actually a Supreme Court Justice in New Mexico,” came the reply.
“You’re kidding right?”
“Oh no, he’s the real deal, let’s go say hi, he’s probably getting ready to run this next session in his vintage Formula Ford.”
“Well, I like him already.”
It was a really good day; I managed to catch up with some of the other pro drivers I knew, including Jeff Altenburg and Robb Holland. Charlie and I slid our way to a second-place finish, and arranged to meet for dinner with his crew guys and Robby Unser. Robby, a well-known member of the legendary Unser racing family, is also from New Mexico and happens to be a friend of Charlie’s.
I was looking forward to spending some time chatting with Charlie after our hectic day. The moment I sat down, Charlie asked me whether I like music. It’s not a hard question, but I already had mentally cataloged several things to ask Charlie about his very interesting life. This was nowhere close to the mix; the question threw me into “tilt” mode just for a second. I think I probably looked at Charlie as if he had just asked me if I eat tree bark.
After my synaptic shut down, we established I did actually like music. Charlie immediately gave me a copy of his band’s—The Incredible Woodpeckers—new album called “Woodpecker Boogie.” Talk about a well-rounded fellow.
Later, as we headed to our separate hotels, Charlie asked if I liked Formula Fords. “Sat in a couple back in the ’80s, but I’ve never raced one,” I said. He replied, “Would you like to?” Within hours, Charlie had sent me the dates for his next few vintage Formula Ford events, as he owns five Crosslés.
Skip ahead a few weeks to the Circuit of the Americas circuit near Austin, Texas. It was the week of the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association’s (SVRA) National Championships, and only one week after the Formula 1 race at COTA. Charlie had snagged us garage No. 8, the same space Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari occupied just a few days earlier.
I did not realize how massive the SVRA Nationals were until I got there. There were 461 drivers entered in all categories, including about 15 in vintage motorcycles—impressive numbers and a very cool idea to include bikes, I thought. Meanwhile, the second to last Trans Am Series race of the year was also going on, as was the final round of the International GT Championship. So it was a pretty full dance card for the organizers.
There are a plethora of classes running in SVRA, meaning there’s something for everyone, essentially. Modern GT cars, surprisingly new F1 cars, Indy cars, all manner of GT cars starting from the late ’60s through to today, plus those lovely historic racing motorcycles. If you couldn’t find something with wheels you liked at this event, you should probably try your hand at boating.
I enjoyed looking through the race program, where I recognized a few old teammates and competitors like John Heinricy, Geoff Brabham, Stuart Crow, Joe Varde, Mark Sandridge, and others. I also saw pro drivers like Andrew Davis and Ed Zabinski hanging around COTA; they were there specifically to coach the owner/drivers of these sometimes-priceless vehicles.
It was clear immediately that SVRA has moved in a very professional direction since I did a few SVRA races back in the late ’80s. One thing that doesn’t seem to have changed is the friendly atmosphere, from the race crews and competitors to the well-oiled race organization. Signing in was a total pleasure and really quick despite loads of people in line.
SVRA was founded in the late ’70s by Ford Heacock III. There had been an SCCA vintage championship for cars up to circa 1959, but Heacock saw the need to create a place where owners of 1960–1972 cars could race, and SVRA was born.
Tony Parella is SVRA’s president and CEO; he raced on dirt ovals back in the day, until family took him along a different road. He found tremendous success in the telecommunications industry, and he acquired SVRA back in 2012 after seeing some serious business potential.
Wandering around the paddock, I heard nothing but good things about Tony’s continuing push to improve the SVRA product. Case in point: As I waited in pre-grid for my last race of the weekend after four days of on-track activity, there was Tony, walking up to every one of the 50-odd cars in our group, shaking hands with the drivers and crew, thanking everyone for coming. That says a great deal about how much the man cares, and I certainly appreciated it, especially as my feet were freezing. (Open-wheel cars are quite drafty.)
Being around Charlie’s race team felt like family. His crew chief and head mechanic, Steve DeBerry, has been looking after Charlie’s race cars for 15 years. Steve seems to have two full time careers, one in facilities management, the other looking after Charlie’s cars in his Albuquerque race shop. Steve’s daughter Becky was also on hand as a mechanic and team photographer. The numerous other family members and friends on the scene only added to a wonderful atmosphere.
It was really enjoyable to speak with many other drivers over the weekend. Many of them own businesses, love to race, and see SVRA as a place they can find great racing without worrying as much about the fierce competitiveness found in many other types of club, national, and pro racing series. The minimal amount of on-track contact all weekend speaks to that point.
We had a couple of other drivers on the team, guys with serious day jobs who epitomize SVRA competitors: people with important roles away from the track but who love to race when they can.
Sean Hearne owns his 1980 Crosslé. Steve DeBerry does the prep work and brings it to the track with Charlie’s cars. Sean holds a PhD in physics and will soon move from Albuquerque to Knoxville, Tennessee, as director of the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences at Oak Ridge National Lab. We’re talking a center where scientists from all over the world rent time to do research, a place where physicists race in a demolition derby using subatomic particles. Sean started in racing schools several years ago, progressing to SCCA in a Miata and also runs really well in the highly competitive SVRA vintage Formula Ford class.
The fourth teammate was Luke Baumgartel. Luke also has a PhD in physics, and hails from Portland. He works for Intel, leading a group working on next-generation microchips. So, he basically can’t talk about anything he does. He is new to car racing and also happens to be married to Charlie’s stepdaughter. Did I mention this team is like a big family?
As for Charlie, his on-track exploits started when his wife bought him a three-day Bob Bondurant school at Sears Point for his 50th birthday back in the ’80s. But track driving in New Mexico pretty much means dirt ovals, which Charlie did really well while winning local championships along the way. He has raced NASCAR Late Models, Super Trucks, and Modifieds. He moved to road racing about seven years ago, choosing vintage Formula Fords after remembering how much he enjoyed them while at the Bondurant school years before.
My on-track time in the 1973 Crosslé was cut short quite a lot throughout the weekend with a persistent gearbox gremlin. There was really no time for Steve to cure the problem effectively, so I worked with it. It’s a fact of life when running these old cars: stuff happens. All of us lost sessions with various niggly issues, but attitudes remained positive, and mechanical stuff is all part of racing, anyway.
The specific gearbox issue involved first and second gears being locked out much of the time I would try to downshift or upshift. In other words, I was only able to use third or fourth much of the time. I really needed those first two gears for four or five times per lap, so this was a bit of a problem. Passing someone, then ending up in neutral is a good way to get thumped in the rear, so I was following folks a lot and watching my mirrors. Despite this, by the end of the weekend I had sort of perfected a way to get around the problem as best I could, and I ran some lap times up with the sharp end of the class. The third- and fourth-gear corners were an absolute blast—talk about sliding!
The drifting around at all speeds in these cars is addictive, and actually very necessary for a quick time. I was easily able to rotate the car on corner entries by manipulating the steering wheel while left-foot braking, which massively helped the front tires, avoiding undue understeer. The controllability of these cars while cornering and drifting at triple-digit speeds really impressed me.
I started racing cars at 27 years old, very late for someone who has been paid to drive race cars for the last 30 years. As I stood looking at my little Formula Ford in the garage, something struck me: A 1973 Crosslé Formula Ford would have been the exact entry-level race car I may have driven as teenager, if I had been lucky enough to have the opportunity. What a great way to spend a weekend.
Thanks so much to Charlie, Steve, and the whole team. Thanks also to SVRA for making me feel so welcome and for putting on such a superb event. I very much look forward to the next time.

Week 13 is historically known as a dud as teams get a week off or a cupcake before playing the biggest game on their schedule. And while most of you are still drying off from the blood feud that was Samford and Auburn, there were some actual solid matchups this Saturday, with Ohio State taking down Penn State to the surprise of no one and Georgia doing Georgia things and holding on to beat Texas A&M. Those, however, do not meet the criterial for the Roasted. We hold ourselves to higher regard and a higher standard, and there wasn’t much funny stuff that happened at those games. There were some funny things that happened at 3 or 4 games at the very least, so let’s get to it in this week’s Roasted!
SAD SEC FANS ARE SAD
Earlier this week, Vanderbilt Director of Athletics, Malcom Turner, came out to say that Derrick Mason would be back next year and that the university supports him through this tough season that has seen the Dore’s bring home two whole wins. That sort of message normally rallies the troops and gets the fans out to support the coaches and the players through this rough patch. So how’d that go for them you ask?
Vandy gave ETSU $390,000 to play today. Hard to imagine they made that much in ticket sales. pic.twitter.com/da8qrumvhl

Ugh…admittingly, living in Nashville myself, it was not a fun day to be outside on Saturday. The Dores would get the win on Senior Day but the bad news is they go to Knoxville next week to take on an all the sudden hot Vols team. Even if they played in Nashville, it would be a pro Tennessee crowd but at least the number of fans would be cut almost in half at Vanderbilt Stadium.
MEANWHILE….IN BATON ROUGE, Arkansas started life after Chad Morris and it continued much like life with Chad Morris. LSU led 56-6 at one point before asking for volunteers from the crowd and Arkansas was able to add 2 TDs and backdoor covering the 42.5 point line. That didn’t do anything to dampen the celebration of gaining the Boot for another year!
Nobody wanted it. Part Deux. The #LSU players left "The Boot" on the field following their 56-20 whipping of Arkansas. pic.twitter.com/rgBzPZMHZy
— Jacques Doucet (@JacquesDoucet) November 24, 2019
Oh…well surely Coach O was all about celebrating bragging rights for another year over their neighbors to the north!
Ed Orgeron on #LSU not celebrating: "There wasn't going to be celebration for beating Arkansas, they havent beaten anyone in a long time."
— Brody Miller (@BrodyAMiller) November 24, 2019
I mean, he’s not wrong…
It was good to see Arkansas fans were having a fun time in Death Valley though.

Sad on Piggies….Sad on.
HARVARD AND YALE HELD A PROTEST AND A FOOTBALL GAME BROKE OUT!
Historically speaking, The Game is a game that everyone should watch. It was where Tailgating truly began and is one of the oldest rivalries in College Football, since ESPN wants to shove down our throats that it’s the 150th year of the sport of Kings (don’t get me wrong, if I get the History of the SEC series out of this deal, I will happily pay the piper for it). If you are looking for football prowess and NFL talent, then this game wouldn’t interest you and normally doesn’t interest many people except to see the final and then forget about it five minutes later. That would have been this year if it wasn’t for something that happened near the end of halftime.
The Harvard-Yale football game has been delayed due to students protesting climate change in the middle of the field. pic.twitter.com/uY9Kc3Mn32
— ESPN College Football (@ESPNCFB) November 23, 2019
HALFTIME LASTED NEARLY AN HOUR THANKS TO THIS KOMBI YA FEST! Don’t get me wrong, I think things should be done a little differently in regards to the climate and how we treat the Earth, but that doesn’t mean I am going to rush the field in a game at Harvard, Yale or Cal for that matter. I mean, what’s the end game here? To get the corporations to changes their ways, man? Ok brah, in that case, go and write your representatives (whatever good that will do) and pray that you annoy the person that opens his mail enough to show him what the people in his district think. Don’t punish the students playing the game or the parents and friends that care about those players in their biggest (and probably last for some) football game before they go in law or some dot-com company that runs the world and takes away from those harmful carbons you keep bitching about!
Ok, so after the game got back underway, it ended up going to double overtime and almost forced the game to be called a tie. Why is that, you may be asking. Well because Yale, one of the centerpieces of college’s in the United States…DOESN’T HAVE STADIUM LIGHTS!! WHAT IN THE WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS!?! I get that you want the game to be pure and played in the sunlight, but when sunset is at 4:30 Eastern in New Haven, you might need some extra light! I envision something like the end of Bagger Vance if this game were to keep going past the 2 overtime period, running more of those Fossil Fuels the students were protesting and really creating some fun irony. Fortunately, for everyone, Yale secured a share of the Ivy League title with a 50-43 win over the Crimson, thus securing another Blue victory over the Red. Here’s hoping Auburn can make sure the Blue team beats the Red team next weekend as well!
STATE OF FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL!
Ok, show of hands…who had this one? I didn’t…I should have knowing that Miami could barely score 20 points much less beat anyone by 20.
Alright, show of hands…who knew that Butch Davis was the Head Coach of FIU? Yeah, me either!
Ok ok, last one, who remembered that the Marlins Baseball Park (where this game was played just to rub salt in the wound for Miami) was built on top of where the old Orange Bowl, the one where Miami built their name, use to stand?
FIU DEFEATS MIAMI 30-24. PAWS UP!!! So proud to be a part of this program. pic.twitter.com/eCbgd5MdCe
— AJ Ricketts (@AJRicketts) November 24, 2019
Yeah…all those things are true, and each one of them hurts Miami fans more and more as you say each one of them out loud.
THATS THE GAME! FIU PULLS OFF THE UPSET OVER MIAMI!#FIU #Miami pic.twitter.com/OOcF6kkdJF
— The Sideline Report (@SidelineReport_) November 24, 2019
At one point in this pillow fight, it was 16-0 FIU. 16-0!! Lord have mercy! If you are thinking, wow, losing as a double digit favorite isn’t something that happens often, you are correct. The Canes, however, have gotten that part of consistency down to be sure!
With the loss to FIU, Miami becomes the only team in the last 40 years to lose three times as a 14-point favorite in a single season. Canes lost to VT as 14-pt fave, GT as 18.5-pt fave and tonight to FIU as 21-pt fave. Canes also won 17-12 as a 30.5-pt fave vs Central Michigan.
 Chris Fallica (@chrisfallica) November 24, 2019
Sweet Lord! I don’t want to start Manny Watch just yet since he is only 10ish games into his career as the second best team in Dade County but there is one thing that a new head coach in a rebuilding situation can give and that’s hope.
LMAOOOOOOOO POVERTY pic.twitter.com/wvYyMYFgPI
— LOCAL RAPPER is OUT NOW! (@TaReefKnockOut) November 24, 2019
I don’t know what on Earth this guy is dancing for down 13-0 to something called Florida International, but hope is not the thing that gives me if I am a fan of the U.

30 months later
It’s May 8th 2017
Let’s do a little recap of the past 30 months December 2014 I drove for mai thai nearly everyday and made around $2,000 it was both exciting and stressful I thought life was really looking up. All I really remember about that month was making money and a couple drunk driving nights with matt January 2015 Had to give the car back to Ashley's mom luck reversal, the universe always does this kinda thing to me. I persevered and was coincidentally able to borrow sarah’s car after she moved in with us temporarily broken up with Brandon. I got my first I-phone from selena’s dad. All in all it was a pretty good month. I remember playing south park pinball v stoned. February 2015 I began to realize this job wasn’t going to be all I had assumed as I made only half of what I did in January. Around the end of the month I had to give car back to Sarah as she got back together with Brandon. We were not on good terms after that. March 2015 Things only got harder work wise as I started borrowing cars from both Mike and Sada basically having to bike to work and home though mike often gave me a ride. The money I was making was decreasing. I used Tax money to buy a new car that only lasted a few a couple weeks. It was terribly disappointing. April 2015 The best thing I had going for me was the IPhone and my art direction had begun to change. I had been given the opportunity for a book however and was stoked on that. I had also been compiling video clips for a new series “The Life And Times Of Taj Bourgeois Vol 1″ Things with Selena steadily got worse of course, and by the end of the month I was taking the bus all the way out to PCC where Jeff was living in Ashley’s grandma’s garage just to borrow his car to keep working at Mai Thai. However Matt had hooked me up with Wynde who owned a greencab, and so I began the process to become a taxi driver. May 2015 This was a very rough month as tips dwindled and Jeff’s car finally died. There were a couple weeks in limbo as I awaited my fate as a taxi driver. I don’t remember too much else. I did some training nights with Wynde and felt anxious to begin. It had been my dream to drive Taxi for many years, and now finally I was getting the chance. I also had a couple pieces in “Art In America” and assumed my luck was going to change and I’d get “discovered” this was not the case. June 2015 I would ride my bike with a flat tire to Wyndes and drive the cab, and then get off as the sun rose, drink a 22oz, smoke weed, and bike home. It was pretty nostalgic at the time. The money was pretty good. However, Uber and Lyft had just become a thing, and eventually would force me to quit. For most of June I had very little to do with Selena, and got a tinder account. July 2015 My book came out, and that was a big deal. Definitely felt like I was achieving my dreams along with being a taxi driver. It's kinda crazy to think I spent most of 2016 awake at night. I also had sex with someone other than Selena for the first time since Kristen... an embarrassing fact even though I was elated for the experience. It was some of the hottest sex I ever had. Also around this time my grandparents gave me their old Volvo. Things were going pretty good. August 2015 Selena started seeing Jared, and I started seeing Emi. In my case however it was mostly just a desire for sex, and I did not achieve that lol. She was very naïve and in a sense I was just trying to keep the envy between selena and I balanced. Taxi was ok, and I was just happy to be taking pics and videos with my phone. Times were weird. September 2015 Not much changed. Emi got back with her ex which was a relief. She was a good subject for photos at the time. I was in a nudes group and on tinder and it bolstered my sense of confidence. Selena would still have sex with me sometimes. Turns out its cause her bf had a big dick and was never able to make her come. Kai started school next door. October 2015 Nearly a year after starting this “get well soon” blog, and to an extent I had become quite a different person. I was becoming a bit reckless with relationships. October had always brought about strange vibes and great changes, and this year was no exception. I got to live at wyndes for a week while she was in California, and hooked up with Sayer from the fb group, and a few days later hooked up with Rebecca (mike’s on and off again ex) It wasn’t a good idea, but at the time my sexual prowess was pretty much my main source of confidence. Alcoholism was the same as ever. The moment that changed everything was getting a rent increase in the mail, and reacting by kicking over a garbage can. Apparently the owner of the property saw this and we got a 3 month notice for eviction. Later that night I cried hard in my car at Lloyd center after stealing a body suit costume. Later still, I was on my 5th beer around midnight just sitting on my phone trying to get laid, and I did... Vasiliki. It was a very beautiful night though it was a one time thing, that kinda just depressed me further. At the same time I was preparing for a show in Knoxville via Sara Daniels, and that still gave me the kind of hope needed to keep making art. So far this year I was basically just a photographer, and maker of the kinds of funny videos you might stumble upon your fb feed. November 2015 The Knoxville show was one of the best times of my life, and the paintings that led up to it.. I can see now... were indicative of what would eventually transpire. Anyway... I had a great time... unfortunately the taxi money was going way down and it was incredibly depressing. On the plus side selena finally got a job for the first time since kai was born. I remember being especially lonely as November ended. Selena went with jared to thanksgiving without me or kai, and I remember thinking how shallow their relationship seemed. Still, I was grateful that she had something/someone to occupy her time with rather than focus all her shortcoming on me. December 2016 Bleak month. Much different than the year before it. All I can really remember without the aid of Instagram (to refresh my memory) was long desolate nights in the taxi. Christmas was especially depressing. Lol I just realized I forgot to mention some of the other tinder one nighters... whatever. Taxi began seeming like a mistake, and I had no idea what I was doing with art anymore. January 2017 Much like December with the added stress of having to move out and nowhere to go. Well... as the gods of coincidence would have it... Davey started doing heroin again and was kicked out of his parent’s basement. With a little help from my grandparents yet again..  our luck greatly improved. Though I think Selena and I both knew this would be the last place we lived together. Meeting Caitlin was by far the best thing that came out of this month. I don’t remember what happened to matt aside from cutting back on alcohol and weed, but for the rest of our time at Teresa's cailtin was my best friend. February 2017 Even though Uber/Lyft were driving taxis out of business it was ok enough that I could pay the rent with just $400 though there was fear about how I would maintain after the 6 month lease was over. Still, things definitely chilled for everyone as we languished in the cool of the basement by day and the fire pit by night.. I had a bittersweet nostalgia brewing for this time. I also tried tinder again when who should I meet but the popular abdl Mathilda. We had a brief fling and it made me feel good about my sexuality again, but it wasn’t enough and I ended up feeling depressed again. March 2017 I maintained this depression with a balance of mania. These were the days of drunken tomfoolery with Caitlin, and the discovery of digital collage “the shitposting era” which in fact was a very important development. I’m still surprised by how little I did with my all night mobility and sanctuary in the cab up until this point. Suddenly I was making 3-10 “memes” a night whether in the cab or at home “watching” kai, drinking brass monkey, but at least was exhilarated by art again, and also got a show booked at Reed.  Might as well mention my one nighter in a hotel with any, enemas, and whips etc... feeling more comfortable with myself than I had in a long time. April 2017 I met Breanne (soon to be Mochi) the day of my show at Reed. It was the final act of my “brand” set in motion by thejogging. There was both a sense of closure and beginning that day. It was one of the best days of my life. Caitlin (who I assume was jealous) disappeared for the rest of the month. Mathilda came out after Breanne left. Mike and Rebecca came out (amends where made), and Wynde also came out to show support, and took lots of pictures. That’s all I really recall about that month. I had butterflies and mantis’s in my stomach. I started seeing Breanne and felt very cautious. She was straight-edge vegan and extremely busy with work and ryatt who was almost 2. I was both attracted and turned off by all these things, but she seemed very sweet, innocent, accepting, and had lived through some hard shit. For the most part I kept my distance, but can’t remember much else about this month. May 2017 Shit went crazy and it was all in my head.

How I keep my crafts together.
I have a bunch of stuff.  Like, just so much…stuff.  It’s not junk, I use this stuff!  So I want to give you a look at how I keep all that stuff in order, and hopefully it’ll give you some ideas if you’re wondering how to keep your stuff organized!
Patterns
I recently reorganised my patterns.  I keep most of my patterns in a folder in my Google Drive, but things that I do have to print out, or I have a printed copy but no digital copy, I have been keeping them in 3-ring binders.  This wasn’t very efficient, because they weren’t really easy to get in and out of the binder, it was over flowing, and just a crazy mess.  Everything kept falling out of them, however I did have them sorted by quilts, not quilts, paper piecing, and plushies.  I recently went to Michael’s and got some of those photo boxes they will put on sale (I got them for $1.99 each!) and I pulled out my binders, went through, threw away so many duplicates, patterns I know I have digital copies, and thinned them all WAY down.  I went from three binders (and one of those terrible paper 3-tab folders) and got it to three boxes.  One for plushie patterns, one for bag patterns, and one for quilts.  I decided to just keep all the quilt patterns, no matter how they are pieced, together.
Old and Busted
New Hotness
Fabric
I talked about my scraps a few posts back, but my other fabric I didn’t delve into.  I sort my fabric mostly by size; all my fat quarters are together and all my larger cuts are together.  I even have a few pieces that are multiple yards, and I have those together in a separate drawer.
A lady never shows her whole stash ;)
Shop Stock
When I have a lot of stock built up, it can be a little tricky keeping things organized.  However, everything needs a place to go!  I keep all of my quilts on a quilt ladder I got from Knock on Wood Knoxville in my guest bedroom.  It’s nice because they don’t just stay folded up somewhere, out of sight out of mind.
I put all of my plushies in bags, sorted by their sizes, and by what will fit.  I don’t really have many pictures of this, because everything’s gone right now! :)
We're ready for tomorrow! 😍 #manekineko #Nashville #nashvillecherryblossomfestival #cutefluffinstitch

Shop Stuff
I have a lot of other things, like my tent, tables, table clothes, etc.  I keep my tent and tables in my garage in a little cubby.  Right now I’m trying to find a good spot for my boxes, which all fold up flat.  Right now they’re hanging out in my car…which isn’t convenient.
To keep all the smaller items in a plastic crate with interlocking flaps.  It’s light enough and small enough that it fits under a table, I can pretty much see what’s in there all the time, so I just keep it packed up until I have a fair to go to.  This is where I keep bags, table clothes, any table top decorations, signage, etc.
I have sort of an “admin box” where I keep my money, my fair apron, a little first aid kit, extra cards and things like that.  I use a Samsonite train case that I got at an antique store.  It could be a little more cleaned up, but I bang it around and I don’t really mind the shape it’s in.
That’s pretty much it! :)  I have a knack for getting the most storage out of small spaces, I blame years of Tetris.  Do you have any storage tips?  Let me know!  Sharing is caring! :)  Until next time, happy sewing!
  How I keep it all together :) #blog #etsyshop #cutefluffinstitch #organizing #storage How I keep my crafts together.

8 Content Marketing Tricks That Helped Dollar Shave Club Go Viral – SEO NYC & Digital Marketing
Ask any North-American male aged 17-30 whether he’s heard of Dollar Shave Club (DSC).
He’ll probably say, “Yeah.”
And it’s not just dudes who know about DSC. A lot of women know about it too because they’ve bought subscriptions for the men in their lives.
Dollar Shave Club is a classic example of startup that blew up—in a good way.
What was one of the first signs of their success?
If you haven’t seen it, you ought to check it out:
The company’s launch video, casually titled “Our Blades Are F**king Great,” quickly became a sensation on the web.
With punchlines and gags to suit a variety of tastes, the video racked up nearly 5 million views within the first 90 days.
The company’s founder, Michael Dubin, had a few aces up his sleeve to help create a professionally cut video.
The CEO studied performing arts at Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in New York, where he learned to use the power of comedy to capture the attention of an audience.
He also leveraged his contacts from his time at UCB to bring on a director and connect with a production studio that helped keep costs low. The original DSC launch video was only $4,500.
Most brands trying to produce a tightly choreographed video like the one DSC produced would expect to spend closer to $60k.
But the viral video wasn’t pure luck. The whole thing was carefully orchestrated. But let’s be honest, most startups aren’t Dollar Shave Club.
You probably don’t have a background in theater to help you be as funny as DSC’s CEO, and it’s not likely that you’ll create something that goes on to secure over 7 million views.
But don’t get caught up on the view count. You can still be successful without trying to chase the same numbers if you break down what DSC did in their quest for a successful launch.
Here are 8 tricks you can pull from their viral campaigns to help you boost your own content strategy.
1. The power of video
Simply put, video is the best format for telling stories. You can connect with a consumer and establish a powerful emotional connection with your audience through the use of video more so than any other content format.
You can flesh out that one concept that resonates with an audience and deliver it with a voice and personality that captivates them through a one-on-one connection.
DSC use of video was a smart move, especially given video usage statistics.  that show why diversifying content marketing to include video is a smart move:
92% of mobile video consumers share videos with others
More than a third of all online activity involves watching videos
More than a third of consumers trust video ads
80% of users can recall a video ad they viewed in the last 30 days
Enjoyment of video advertising increases purchase intent by 97% and brand association by 139%
2. Great storytelling
Here’s the story (about the story) from Adam Weber, Dollar Shave Club’s CMO.
“What we’ve really focused in on since our launch video has been all about finding which new stories to tell, to what consumers, and then finding the right distribution platforms to tell them. We take our video storytelling to the obvious places. We do a lot of investment in television, which is a great place to tell a narrative with video.”
Here’s more of his explanation:
I think in the long term, as you get more into the digital places, the social outlets like YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter — those types of venues are great venues for telling stories via video. Those have become an increasingly larger part of our game plan. They offer a lot of unique capabilities that something like television doesn’t offer.
Not every aspect of a marketing strategy needs to contain storytelling, but it should be a part of your marketing strategy, and DSC’s success is proof of that. There are three reasons why it works.
First, stories grab the attention of the audience. When you have an impressive and captivating narrative, people will want to satisfy their curiosity—especially if the story is relatable.
Second, having a strong narrative helps build the trust with your audience. People trust you more when you open up and share personal stories with them. It works very similarly when brands share their narratives, and it brings the audience back for more.
And third, stories simply do a better job at grabbing the attention of most people over raw content like statistics or facts. Not to say those aren’t interesting at all, but you’re guaranteed to capture more interest if you can tell a story around facts and data.
3. They knew their audience
Another thing that stands out with Dollar Shave Club is their knowledge of their target audience. DSC talks to men in a pretty relatable voice, providing something that never existed when it comes to men’s grooming products.
Prior to Dollar Shave Club, a lot of the razor content and brand positioning either used a highbrow “gentlemanly” approach or painted men as hairy Neanderthals who needed blades with the edge of a katana to stay smooth.
But how long can you sell products pushing the “closer shave” approach?
Dollar Shave Club shows that when you take the time to unearth what your audience wants, you learn how to talk to them. You can create content that uses language they can relate to, with ideas that make sense.
Every content marketing strategy should begin with good, deep buyer research so you know what they want, how they want it, where to find them and how to get it to them.
4. Focused on the value proposition
No matter how hilarious the video is, all those views won’t translate into sales and revenue if you can’t connect the product to the consumer in some way. Storytelling is a good start, but so is knowing your audience.
Dollar Shave Club knocked it out of the park by staying focused on the value proposition with their messaging and content, from landing pages to videos.
When you watch the videos, you understand the convenience of never having to shop for replacement blades, and you also appreciate the price. I know, like many men do, the frustration of watching the price of blade replacements climb constantly.
Dollar Shave Club didn’t have a unique product. Razors are everywhere. Still, they developed a unique value proposition around their products and made sure to keep that front and center throughout their content marketing campaigns.
5. Easily sharable
Dollar Shave Club includes traditional media placement, like television, in their marketing strategy. But the success of the launch and rapid growth can be attributed to the shareability of their digital content.
By creating a variety of video content, along with stop-motion animations, promoted through social media, they made it easy for prospective customers and consumers to share that content with their friends and family.
It was, and still is, a perfect formula for getting content to spread. Simply create content that triggers positive emotions.
Awe-inspiring content, humor, and strong stories make any piece of content engaging and shareable.
6. Every word has a purpose
Early in the production process, Dubin had a sizable script that ran upwards of four pages. Part of the creative process meant trimming that down. It’s an approach you have to take with content, no matter the format.
If content isn’t 100% essential to delivering the message, it needs to be cut. Every word, moment, and frame of a video must have a purpose or a point.
Once the content was stripped down to its bare bones, focused only on the brand messaging, the team went to work scripting humorous content to keep the video light-hearted, but sharp-witted and funny.
People understand brand messaging, and when you subvert that, they recognize the risk you took,
says Lucia Aniello who directed the launch video for Dollar Shave Club and worked with Dubin to craft the script.
Learn to trust the funny. If you take a risk, you may get a reward.
A perfect example is the unofficial tagline of the company that acts as the title for the first video. While trying to establish a solid line that would hit the audience hard at the beginning of the video, Aniello suggested “Our blades are f**king great.”
I remember Mike’s face when I first said that line,
There was a half a second of concern, and then whatever angel sitting on his shoulder—or devil maybe—said, “Go for it.”
7. Strategic content release
There are plenty of marketers who will tell you that Dollar Shave Club just got lucky with the content. Some would say the same for the Old Spice commercials that mixed randomness with wit and humor.
Luck certainly plays a role in any piece of content going viral, but timing is important as well. Dollar Shave Club knew this much, which is why they had some strategy for the release of their content.
In fact, the video was technically live online before it was a viral hit as the team showed it around to attract investors and to gauge reactions.
When it came time to launch, the video piggybacked on a funding announcement Dubin knew would gather plenty of media coverage. That pushed a lot of traffic toward the content and ensured it wouldn’t disappear among the countless hours of content uploaded to YouTube every minute of every day.
You have to think strategically to give your content a fighting chance. Don’t try to release content into a vacuum.
8. The content was funny
People don’t share content just for the sake of sharing it. Think about the content you’ve shared most recently. There are likely one or more reasons you did so:
The content resonated with you on a personal level through a common thought or belief
It was inspirational and connected with you emotionally
It was funny or educational—or both
You found value in it and felt your connections would also enjoy it
The Dollar Shave Club video, and much of their content marketing, revolves around an amusing, witty, self-deprecating sense of humor. It’s compelling in a Jackass/Knoxville kind of way (minus the violent shots to the groin.)
But you don’t need to have raw comedic talent or formal training to make a strong connection with your audience. In fact, if you try too hard, your message could come off as forced.
It worked for DSC because they knew their audience, but more importantly, it was the personality of the brand. There was consistency in the brand messaging and the content itself.
DSC wasn’t funny just for the sake of being funny.
Conclusion
The success of Dollar Shave Club’s content can be replicated, but it shouldn’t be duplicated.
With the right strategy, you can develop content that will captivate your audience. You just need to understand what they want and discover how to talk to them.
With that information, you can diversify and produce content in formats that will be most successful with the people you’re trying to target.
You don’t need to be funny. You just need to be authentic, sincere, consistent, and willing to listen.
What tricks can you borrow from Dollar Shave Club to increase your brand’s power?

New Post has been published on Myupdatestudio
New Post has been published on https://myupdatestudio.com/almost-12-of-mobile-food-funding-is-federal/
Almost 1/2 of mobile Food' funding is federal
Community Motion Committee Director Barbara Kelly is certain Mobile Food “has a future” in Knox County: Too many human beings are privy to this system’s significance to permit it to slip away, she said.
                                                Mobile Food
Mobile Alabama
“Anyplace we move, human beings say, ‘Nicely, what does that imply for Cellular Food?’ ” Kelly stated Friday of President Donald Trump’s proposed finances that eliminates the Community Development Block Grant program and cuts the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, which facilitates fund the Older Individuals Act.
Part of the country-wide Meals on Wheels network of round five,000 Community packages, Knoxville-Knox County CAC Office on Growing older’s Mobile Food program serves 900 homebound seniors, turning in warm Food on weekdays. Extra than 400 of them are older than eighty.
The local application receives more or less 1/2 – forty-seven percent – of its investment from the Older Americans Act, and about 10 percent More comes from country presents, said Judith Pelot, Cellular Meals manager. The combined governmental funding equals about 486 Food in keeping with the day.
The ultimate 414 every day Meals are purchased by means of donations from individuals, civic agencies, church groups, commercial enterprise, and foundations – along with the News Sentinel’s Empty Stocking Fund – and United Manner, she said. Due to the fact that profits aren’t an issue for receiving Food, the corporation shows an amount recipients could make a contribution, primarily based on income, however they are not required to make any donation.
The Office on Ageing receives some federal Community Development Block Furnish cash it makes use of for applications, Pelot stated, but that money doesn’t immediately buy Food. The Cell Meals kitchen additionally has contracts to prepare Meals for different vicinity organizations, together with Boys and Women Clubs, to offset its overhead charges.
Statewide, the Older Individuals Act covers 63 percent of Meals on Wheels packages for 21,000 seniors – Almost half of-of in rural regions. In Tennessee, the yearly value of the packages general $15,261,130, of which federal funding via the Older People Act covers $9,638,133.
Pelot, whose background is nutrition, stated the program offers vital vitamins and energy for seniors who can’t or aren’t stimulated to prepare their own Food – but at the least equally critical, it affords a daily “protection test” for aged human beings dwelling alone.
Volunteers with this system – about one hundred a day– supply Food and notify CAC if a customer doesn’t solution the door, so a team of workers can call the patron’s emergency contact or request a welfare test from police.
“These programs are honestly significant to folks that want to age in the region of their very own homes,” a less expensive opportunity to nursing-home care, Kelly stated.
And the call for is simplest going to boom, she added: Each day, Greater than eleven,000 Individuals flip sixty-five. The quickest-developing age group in The united states is 85-plus.
“The Getting old of America is happening,” Kelly stated. “We want people to live lengthily, however, we want them to stay in protection, and we want them to stay Properly.”
On Friday, as it has for 15 years, Cell Food participated inside the annual March for Meals, a national initiative of Food on Wheels of us. state and local politicians, dignitaries, business proprietors and Community contributors were paired with volunteers to deliver the noontime meal, at the side of bouquets donated by Random Acts of Plantlife.
The reason of the “Network Champions,” Kelly said, is to let them see firsthand the outcomes of Cellular Meals so that you can proportion the ones stories in their own circles.
Kelly said her employer is taking proposed cuts to funding “very, very significantly” but now not panicking.
“The humans in Congress who’ve supported this program for many years, who recognize how important it’s miles to the human beings at the local stage, they’re nonetheless there,” Kelly stated. “I think they may be there to stand up for the matters they have got stood up for inside the past.”
Reclaiming Your private home Out of your Cell Cellphone
In case you feel your Mobile devices are consuming up too much of some time, and even your life, then study on. If you love your usually on connection and feel no trouble, then study no in addition.
One of the most important steps you can take is to reclaim Your property, and the concept of placement can help right here too. Your house is a number of areas. A residence has diverse areas consisting of kitchen, dining and dwelling room, bedroom, lavatory, garden and many others. Even a studio condominium has several areas. These spaces do not all need to grow to be the territory of continually-connectedness. In reality, “sacred” spaces are a vital thing of reclaiming Your house from the Dance with Spiders.
Your Cell Cellphone want now not function your alarm clock beside your mattress as you furthermore might text before sleep and check in to Twitter as quickly as you awaken. Sleep is such a fundamental technique in our lives. however sleep starts whilst we input our bedroom, whilst we start the process of settling down for the night. Sleep restores us. Our goals assist us to resolve the day, and “paintings through” restlessness in our dream life.
Sleep restores frame and mind. We’ll take into our sleep the spidery-fingertip interest of texting and microblogging if it’s far the ultimate issue we do at night. it’s far Properly said that PC game enthusiasts see the after the image of games of their visible space of closed eyes when they try to sleep for the night time. They still see the motion of the increased growth or zap of the gun. inside the very first days of laptop games, whilst Pong became the rage – a recreation of digital and simple tennis – addicted game enthusiasts could not get the photo of the little moving white dot out of their minds as they lay down for a nights’ sleep. This interferes with this critical human technique. it is a long way more healthy to clean the decks before sleep, to spend half an hour without such interruptions, to show to our accomplice (if we’ve got one) and share a goodnight with them. It may be wholesome to listen to the sounds of the night out of doors through a small open window or wind down to a few relaxing tune, to play returned the day in our thoughts gently, or to just music into our respiration as we relax into tiredness.
The sleeping area – the bedroom – is the first sacred space we must remove the Mobile gadgets from. Rate them up in a single day in another room. Even putting them away, under the bed, at the back of a desk, or maybe in a pocket, helps their undeserved right to be in your sacred sleep area. Banish them. And enjoy the act of banishment. The banishment wants not be a dramatic gesture. it’s miles surely like placing the auto away inside the garage. the car has its right location, and it isn’t always to be parked the residing room, on inside the driveway with the engine usually on.
The area for the Mobile gadgets isn’t always inside the bedroom – that could be a place for sleep. And waking up wishes to be a little Greater gentle and sacred too. We come from a completely specific country whilst we sleep and transition into wakefulness. Shaking a person wide awake who is having a nightmare may be risky and demanding. similarly, whilst we wake up, listening to the sound of birds, kissing our associate accurate morning, and lying there for a few minutes before exiting the bedroom, all of these are gestures of price to ourselves. We do now not want usually-connectedness within the bedroom.
Diary entry November 2010
I have decided to keep my iPhone out of the bedroom where I sleep with my accomplice. It lasts for a couple of days and then seems to have observed its Way again to its place, charging up, proper subsequent to my head, after a short compromise of seeking to plug it right into a plug factor further away. I strive once more. returned it’s miles once more, there doesn’t seem to be a herbal domestic for it within the spare room nor downstairs. Excuses. And the habit of checking it at night time and primary element within the morning is just too robust. Wishes and no longer enough will. I look at my companion as she is snoozing. numerous times the last aspect I have seen isn’t always her smile, but the messages web page on Fb. She deserves better. I plant some other decision into the very weed-ridden floor. The devices exert a few kind of pull.
some humans leave the devices outdoor of the bedroom, charging up within the hallway. the primary component they do on leaving the bedroom is to take the tool and check it. Ideally, Cellular gadgets are better checked after 3 primevally critical sports: awaking from sleep, washing, and consuming. handiest after Those activities must we choose up the device and take a look at it if we need to.
This demanding situation the desire to be robust and we can stumble to attain it. If we do be triumphant, exquisite Fitness blessings can end result: Greater will power, a More stimulated and happier start to the day, and much less tiredness. We get Extra will power due to the fact we assert our will via the location of the Cell tool in both area and time – we reassert mastery over it. We experience Greater encouraged because we’ve valued a few high things as most essential to us and, in doing so, we’ve got valued ourselves over the needs of devices. We feel More encouraged because we’ve taken manipulate and prioritized the energizing nature of the morning ritual of waking and getting ready for the day. Thirdly, we are much less tired due to the fact we’ve got gone to sleep and woken up properly, in a Way that lets in us to enter and exit the sleep states without distraction, and Extra in music with nature.
attempt it. You may see, even though, as I stated, you could hit upon the Way. You will need to persevere with it.
Placement is all about setting the Cell tool in a place selected via you, and in a Manner that prioritizes your need for a undistracted transition into and out of restorative sleep. within the e-book, The Artist’s Way, you are encouraged, on waking, to write down your morning pages – some free drift writing of your mind – you may capture dreams, thoughts for the day, reflections, concerns, fantasies, and impulses. The key aspect is that the ritual is renewed every morning and activated via you, by your will power. The need to test in your Mobile device is inherent inside the device itself – you are interested in it – the need impulse is maybe 5% yours, and 95% the organization that created the pull in the tool.

Fans outside the stadium, the official Jordan-Hare time is...
We’re on the last of our double-digit days until kickoff, with tomorrow sending us into the quick countdown of single-digits. It’ll be here very quickly, so buckle up!
2004 - Auburn 10, LSU 9
We touched on this game just a couple days ago when we covered 2004, but this was absolutely the turning point in Auburn’s undefeated season. The Tigers met the Tigers after Hurricane Ivan rolled through the state of Alabama and left thousands without power for days (I watched the game at my grandfather’s house since his neighborhood had buried power lines), but the day of the game dawned warm and bright as the weather had been sucked out as the hurricane swept away.
LSU took its opening drive of the game for a touchdown, but they missed the extra point. After Auburn notched a field goal, LSU added one of its own to take a 9-3 lead. For nearly three quarters after that, nobody scored until the final minutes.
Auburn started a last-ditch drive with a little over six minutes to play, and methodically metriculated down the field. Ronnie Brown took a toss and sent Marcus Spears into the air with a strong stiffarm on one play, but Auburn still found itself facing a fourth down just inside the LSU 30.
The Tigers converted and scored the go-ahead touchdown three plays later. Junior Rosegreen intercepted a Jamarcus Russell pass shortly thereafter to seal the win.
1989 - Auburn 10, Florida 7
Just like the previous game, Auburn had been able to score just a field goal at home in a crucial SEC clash. Facing another fourth down in the final minute against Florida, Auburn wide receiver Shayne Wasden went to the huddle to tell quarterback Reggie Slack that he’d been left alone as he headed downfield on third down. He knew he’d be open again on fourth down. He was.
Emmitt Smith cried, and the Tigers ran on to their third straight SEC Championship.
1971 - Auburn 10, Tennessee 9
Back in Pat Sullivan’s senior year, the Tigers headed to Knoxville to play the Volunteers in a top ten matchup. It wasn’t the most offensively-oriented game, but the Tigers had to come from behind to beat the Vols and kickstart Sullivan’s Heisman campaign. It was Georgia that actually won it for him at the end of the year.
That’s the coaches’ film of the game courtesy of The War Eagle Reader. Technicolor madness!
1963 - Auburn 10, Alabama 8
Auburn met Alabama in a huge matchup as Bear Bryant had gotten his machine rolling in Tuscaloosa, but in 1963, it was Shug’s boys who got the last laugh.
The Tigers had two legendary players on the Plains — Jimmy Sidle, 1963’s SEC Player of the Year and Tucker Frederickson, future top overall NFL Draft pick — and had lost just once heading into the Iron Bowl against Alabama.
Look at that, both teams wore home jerseys at Legion Field. I wouldn’t mind seeing that brought back someday.
Anyway, Sidle got injured early in the game and Mailon Kent came in to play quarterback in relief. As Auburn trailed 8-3 late in the game, Kent completed the game-winning touchdown pass to Tucker Frederickson and the Tigers won by two to break Bama’s four-game winning streak in the series. It was Auburn’s last win against Alabama until 1969 and Pat Sullivan’s sophomore year.
10 Years Ago - 2007
I would write another entire post about the sizzling insanity of 2007 as a whole, but since we already did that about a month ago, you can revisit the epic tome that was Tuberville’s next-to-last team.
It’s down to single digits in the Countdown tomorrow. Stay tuned.
