As a homesteader, I can say 100% Halsin needs some serious help. He is all about "nature has a balance, where all are cared for", meanwhile here I am, having to pull two drakes off one lady duck because, by nature, both will attempt to breed her as roughly as possible, even if it ends up injuring/killing her.

Also, by nature, my chickens have a strict pecking order. A good few get bullied as they are the lowest in the order. I attempted to introduce some young ladies to my less than a foot tall Sebright Rooster, and he was brutal with the bullying. I had to pull them out, he was so bad.

Nature is not a beautiful, idealistic lifestyle. It is survival of the fittest.

Perhaps Halsin needs to seriously rethink civilizations' role in nature. That we, as people of all races, differ from animals in that we can choose to rise above our basic desires and urges if we so choose. Chaotic change is normal among the wilds, but we can actually bring good change, despite however much evil is in the world.

That is our role.

gotta say amongst all the other problems capitalism causes, loneliness, poverty, suppression etc etc, at this exact moment i got a bone to pick with investors and stocks

like, oh god forbid a company make slightly less money than last year, time for all the investors to pull out! why does every company ever need investors? why do they need to constantly pay more and more dividends and fire people to save on money and make the most stupid ass decisions ever known to man just for the sake of 'investors'.

like nothing can just exist and be a service, it has to be a service that changes and grows and draws in more people, all the people, and take all the money.

game dev companies keep getting sold for god knows why to the big publishers who are guaranteed to delete the studio anyway in like a couple years, eg microsoft, EA etc etc.

unity makes the worst most stupid move of all time and now like, so many indie devs have to move somewhere else.

this goddamn hellsite needs to monotize to hell and back and to appeal to broader and broader audiences to the appeal of no one for the sake of the fucking investors getting their money back.

why should stocks and investors affect anything at all? its literally pretend money. its imagining that a company has value that you can just buy and make money on by virtue of owning it. that by buying it, a promise is made that what you buy will keep getting bigger forever. its a gamble. a gamble that something will exist and exist bigger and bitger forever.

and when it doesnt, just sell it off, cut it off. kill the company. kill the lives of the people in the company. kill the product people used and might have even liked.

Every day the odd monetization of this modding community amazes me even more. I would also like to say that this strikes me as something that probably isn't allowed per EA policy. Not only is EA not getting money from this sponsorship at all, but both Ravasheen and Ruggable are making money and receiving advertisement using a game that doesn't belong to either of them. This is not early access, this is something else entirely...

Sims modders are sooo cool like they just. Do what EA should have done. Like if someone working for free in their spare time can completely rewrite the game script to add in things like children and toddlers not being fucking useless, mods that allow you complete and total control over the game like mastercontroller retuner woohooer etc, custom careers, murder, actual neighborhood story progression, height adjusters, furniture with slots on it so you can put clutter objects on them, being able to call a gardener to take care of ur garden, etc etc

Theres no reason EA shouldnt be able to create games that already have this shit. Like its actually ridiculous to come out with a KNITTING??? Pack. When a sims modder could have literally done that for free. Eco living???? Who wants that. STAR WARS???? Like whoooooooooooo asked!

time: november 2019

pairing: yuqi x yuri + wooyoung

summary: wooyoung walks in on somthing he maybe shouldnt have, but he ended up handing yuri a stamp of approval at the end.

attack on titan was playing on the ateez’s dorm’s tv silently in the background, and both yuri and yuqi seated on the couch together peacefully. they were both alone at dorms, besides wooyoung, but he was in his room, unbothered at yuqi’s presence.

yuqi didn’t understand attack on titan at all, but she loved hearing yuri’s reactions to scenes and loved hearing her talking about her favorite characters for hours on end. she found it so incredibly cute, and was amazed how hard yuri thought about the show itself.

yuqi was confused on the current scene, although yuri gave her best to explain the first two seasons to her (it just confused yuqi more), there was still cerain scenes that needed more background information than a ten minute recap.

when yuqi turned her head, she felt a weight on her shoulder that she didn’t notice before, and she heard an oddly sound of quietness next to her too.

yuri was fast asleep on her shoulder, and her arms were clinging onto yuqi’s arm. yuqi quietly giggled and paused the show, knowing yuri would be annoyed if she missed the episode, and softly stroked yuri’s head with her free hand.

she heard a door open behind her, and turned to find one of the sleeping girls members entering the living room, halting when he saw yuqi in the living room.

“oh sorry, i didn’t know you were still here.” wooyoung said, bowing to yuqi, not having a conversation with her without yuri, and those were just introductions. he felt very awkward, even inside his own house.

“oh it’s okay, i’m about to leave, yuri just fell asleep.” yuqi softly smiled, trying to softly position yuri so she wouldn’t wake her.

“she would want to wake her before you leave, or else she would sulk for months.” wooyoung slightly joked, causing both of them to laugh. they both knew that sulking yuri was very hard to cheer up, and she will not stop complaining for weeks.

wooyoung went his way to the kitchen, wanting to still be able to listen to their conversation, but not stare them down at the same time. he wanted to be nosy. not that he thought they were up to something, but wooyoung had his suspicions that they were much more than “just friends”. this was the perfect time to secretly see if his guesses were correct.

after wooyoung left for the kitchen, yuqi debated for awhile on what would be the easiest way to wake yuri up, she eventually decided that gently speaking to her would be the best option.

“yuri, i’m gonna head home. angel, wake up please, i want a hug.” yuqi cutely pouted and whined, while softly rocking yuri in her arms, causing the girl to whine softly, to yuqi’s great suprise, and rub her eyes.

“please don’t go.” yuri pouted and looked up at yuqi, giving her the biggest puppy eyes yuqi has ever seen.

yuqi swore she would have done anything for yuri in that moment, and she could literally feel her heart melting. she was shocked as well, since she rarely saw yuri act cute, she despised too.

“i’m sorry, i don’t want either of us to get in trouble.” yuqi said, gently stroking yuri’s hair when she huffed, and laughed at the dramatic girl.

“at least give me a kiss before you leave.”

yuqi stared at yuri dumbfounded for awhile, did she really just saw that? looking at yuri forming her lips into a kissy face and softly smiling at yuqi, giggling, confrimed that she did in fact say that.

“your member is in the kitchen i think....i don’t think that’s a good idea yu.” yuqi responded in shock, praying to god that her member did not hear yuri. but that was probably very unlikely, since yuri basically shouted. this girl really has no fear....

“i don’t care, yuqi, please.” yuri pouted, honestly not caring that if any of her members walked in at that given moment. she missed yuqi, and she wanted to take advantage of all the time she spent with her, even if she had to face embarssing conversations after wards.

yuqi sighed, knowing that wooyoung wouldn’t walk in the room after he heard yuri, and slowly left a soft kiss onto yuri’s pouting lips.

although it wasn’t long, and it was just a simple peck, it made both girls feel like they were on cloud nine. they both felt the butterflies that they felt the very first time they kissed, and it seemed like that feeling would never go away. they wanted to stay in these moments forever, but they couldn’t. they had responsibilities, and as much as they wished they could run away together and never leave each other, they had to step back into reality.

yuqi softly pulled away, and gave a tight hug to the girl, muttering a quick bye.

“be safe, text me when you get home. and don’t forget your coat!” yuri spoke, much more hyper after getting what she wanted, causing for yuqi to slightly shake her head as yuri ran to the coat rack. somehow, yuqi always seemed to be giving into yuri’s wants, she really is whipped for her and proud.

“come here, let me put it on you!” yuri giggled, bouncing on the balls of her feet, and yuqi grinned and walked towards the girl and let her out the coat on her. yuqi hummed when yuri softly brushed her hands through her hair, brushing it to the side so it wouldn’t get messy.

yuri leaned in for another kiss again, slightly bending down, and opening the door for yuqi.

“now get going, i don’t want you to get scolded.” yuri giggled, seeing now that the roles were reversed, and yuqi gave a salute and left the dorm.

wooyoung, who was in the kitchen the whole time, was slightly smiling to himself. he saw how happy yuqi made yuri, and he was so happy yuri found happiness in someone who was a healthy person to be around. and he was also smiling, perhaps this was the biggest reason, because he was in fact right.

he was ready to embarss the living crap out of yuri now, softly giggling now that he had leverage.

he entered the living room again once he heard the door shut, and was met with a furiously blushing yuri against the front door, causing wooyoung to burst out laughing.

“looks like someone has a crush” wooyoung managed to say through his laughter, causing yuri to jump up and let out a not so silent scream, sending wooyoung to laugh even harder.

“how much did you hear? why were you eas dropping? you freaking perv!” yuri yelled, although she was laughing herself. she just now set in the realization that she was that bold with yuqi, when anyone could hear them.

“i heard enough to understand what’s going on.” wooyoung snickered, winking at the girl as he made his way to the couch, yuri hot on his ankles.

“what do you mean “enough to understand” wooyoung? i don’t understand what you are hinting at so far, yuqi and i are just friends.” yuri huffed, standing infront of wooyoung on the couch, crossing her arms. wooyoung smiled and shook his head, not believing her the slightest bit.

“yeah sureeee yuri, “just friends” beg each other to kiss them. yup, bestest of friends.” wooyoung chuckled.

“you and san kiss each other all the time, how is this any different?” yuqi huffed, trying her best to get out of this, although she knew there was no possible way. it was clear, yuqi and yuri clearly liked each other.

“yeah but not on the lips silly! but i give her my blessing, she have my stamp of approval.” wooyoung said, and then eating his snack he made himself. yuri was standing there in shock, not knowing how to respond.

“close your mouth, it smells.” wooyoung teased, giggling at yuri’s shocked expression.

“shut up, i smell better than you. also, don’t. tell anyone. about this.” yuri said, pointing wooyoungs arm with every word.

“aye aye captain.”

“also, you aren’t my dad. we don’t need your stamp of approval.” yuri commented, winking at wooyoung and heading to her room. she heard wooyoung laughing as she shut her door, smiling and sitting on hongjoong’s bed.

Neo, signing: Okay, that does it then. I’m way too scared to sleep in here by myself. You will just have to be in here with me.

Honestly, I've reached a point that no matter how much I try to see it from a different perspective or angle I just can't respect the EA ship or shippers in general, there are some exceptions though. The majority of that fandom that I've come across to is so toxic! Also you don't like Kristanna? Cool, make one post about you not liking it or ignore it and keep focusing on your incest, why do you have to keep making so many posts about how horrible the ship is and how flawless yours is?? Like if I had a dime for every time some new Kristanna content has been released and a disgusting EA shipper would make a post writing "Oh Anna looks so unhappy" "What is Shrek doing with Anna?" etc. I'd be able to pay for a trip to Disneyland, like stay in your fucking lane! "You're no better you've made a handful of anti EA posts" you may say and you'll be right, I'm not better and I'm not acting like I am, unlike the others I'm not a hypocrite. Also I remember an EA shipper making a post about how there shouldnt be that feud between us and while I was about to agree with them they add "Kristanna shippers show off the moments between Anna and Kristoff" and I'm like "What the fuck?!" "Show off!!!" oh yeah sorry we enjoy that our fucking ship has some moments together and we share moments from the actual fucking movie, also when you take a scene in which Anna and Elsa are just in the same room and look at each other you're like "Look at how much in love they are OwO" that's fine us sharing a gif where Anna and Kristoff kiss or dance and we're just having the time of our lives knowing that our ship gets some interaction other than touching their backs or being in the same place after six fucking years then that's bad and I'm so sorry if we offended you, if there's a wedding short I'll make sure to only share the Anna and Elsa moments. Also forgot the whole "Kristoff's song is problematic and shows him as clingy" well first of all, it's a fucking song inspired by the rock love ballads from the 80s Jan!!! Every rock ballad from that time had lyrics like these does that mean that every singer from the 80s is an obsessive love partner??? also you are the ones who turned a song about Anna mourning and coping with depression all about Elsa and yourselves called it an EA ballad because it has some lyric parallels with Kristoff's song, so let me get this right, Kristoff's song isn't that bad as long as it works with your delusional thoughts, not to mention that I'm 100% sure that if Anna sang Lost in the woods and it was about Elsa your criticisms wouldn't exist. Second of all, you're all fine with Anna putting herself in danger following Elsa and being clingy to her because it's "tRuE lOvE", but if Kristoff sings a song about how lost he feels without Anna suddenly it's all bad, do you even think what you post???

Also since EA is such a healthier ship than Kristanna, let me point out a few things:

- Incest isn't, hasn't been and will never be healthy!!

- Anna puts herself in danger so many times because of Elsa

- Elsa has never apologized to Anna about her mistakes, she did once in OFA, but even then Anna wasn't there

- No matter how many mistakes Elsa has done it's always Anna's fault and Anna has to solve them

- Anna neglects other people in her life focusing on Elsa

Need I go on?

Also I love how every EA shipper has these friends who are not in the fandom and don't like Kristanna, like wow I haven't seen such a coincidence before. Let's not forget that the majority of them are Elsa stans who only care about Anna when she's Elsa's service dog, I still remember how EA shippers would rather have Anna dead than being separated from Elsa or being a Queen, because they care so much for her.

Anyways here's my rant, in conclusion I'm so sick of them, they make the frozen fandom such an unpleasant experience, this rant has been inside of me ever since the proposal subplot was revealed, it feels so good to take out everything I had to say, apparently I'm not a real frozen fan because I don't ship EA. I don't give a damn if any one of them sees this post, I block every EA shipper I find anyways.

bro im so sick of ea and what theyre doing to the sims series stop it like for real!!! i dont want my sims game to be like gritty or whatever but a little challenge would be nice. theres no challenge!! getting money is so easy. there are no bad traits that affect anything in any meaningful way. they just keep churning out half-assed packs like wtf is this new expansion?? who the fuck asked for that?? we already have related content we do Not need an entire fucking expansion for the concept of eco living 

not that like the sims 3 was a masterpiece it was buggy as FUCK and had its fair share of issues but at least like i was excited to see what they were gonna learn from it and do for the sims 4. im not even excited at the concept of the sims 5. im not excited for new sims 4 stuff, i dont know what else they could possibly put out at this point to make me genuinely interested in the game for more than a couple hours. 

things like the emotions system were so promising but the entire game just feels so hollow after a certain point. i shouldnt feel the need to mod the hell out of my game to make it feel playable. if a large portion of your fanbase refuses to play your game w/o mods you know something’s wrong lol.

A LONG ASS LIST OF TIPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL: FRESHMAN TO SENIOR YEAR LETS GO

Disclaimer: This is just from my experience, so these might not all apply to you! 

Freshman Year

ok, ok, freshman year can be scary but don’t let that get to you

dont worry about upperclassmen being rude/teasing you 

it’ll most likely happen, but I’ve never seen an upperclassman tease a freshman with the intention to really hurt them

one day you’ll be them so dw

on the topic of upperclassmen, make some older friends!!! (through classes, sports, etc.) it’s so nice to have someone give you tips and help you through high school

dont expect your friend group to stay the same lol

BUT ITS A GOOD THING I PROMISE YOU

I was scared of changing my friend group, so even though I wasn’t being treated too well, it wasn’t until senior year when I really made a change and I wish I did it earlier

be open to meeting new people, everyone is scared just like you and looking for more friends

I don’t think its neccessary for freshman to become sUPER involved in clubs and all that but at least get a feel for whats out there

try out for a sport if you play one!

this goes for all of high school, not just freshman year, but I regret not being as involved as I could’ve been 

Go to school events like football games and dances! School spirit is considered weird in middle school but its cool in high school

take your classes seriously, your teachers are right - high school is much harder than middle school (but it’s not too bad if you stay organized!)

my freshman year GPA was my lowest like english really caught me off guard (properly formatted, 5 paragraph essays being 50% of your grade??? a concept.)

so my cumulative GPA was brought down

I think most freshman don’t have access to AP classes to boost your GPA or anything, but if you’re looking to push yourself take an honors class or 2! (if available)

Sophomore Year

wooohooo ur no longer a freshman

I’d take at least 1 AP class if you can

my sophomore year I took AP Human Geo - which I really loved, and it also wasn’t too hard

a lot of sophomores take AP World which is a BITCH of a class

BUT I wouldn’t recommend taking Honors World because you don’t get the GPA boost, you don’t get college credits (unless you take the AP Euro test or something), and it’s almost just as hard 

this is a bit random - but when you’re taking Algebra 2 (which was my sophomore year) PLS PAY ATTENTION math builds on itself don’t fuck yourself over

take the PSAT if you want (I honestly don’t remember if I took it freshman year too but eh), but seriously its not required

start thinking about college (I know it’s the last thing you want to do)

just little things like

when do I want to take the SAT/ACT?

would I like a small school or a big school?

What will I be able to put on my college applications?

like if you do community service through a club/church/etc then great!!! sports? YEs

can’t think of anything? Join a club! Try out for a sport (it’s not too late) Find something that interests you

you’re probably pretty situated socially now but never be afraid to get to know those classmates/”school friends” better! 

Junior Year

so junior year is commonly thought of as the hardest year of highschool

which is partially true (we’ll get there later)

but anyways, seriously buckle your seatbelt and get ready to work your ass off because THIS YEAR COUNTS, LADIES AND GENTS

Take AP classes if available

I took AP Psych (WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and Honors PreCalc (coming from regular Algebra 2)

Psych gave me college credit and a GPA boost

HPC gave me a GPA boost for UCs 

It was a bitCH of a class but it made AP calc a breeze 

If you haven’t started already, start prepping for SAT/ACT and then take them

tutoring is very helpful, but it can be expensive

I’ve seen studyblrs post about free prep through Kahn Academy and other stuff, so you might have to do a bit of digging but there are tons of resources out there

TAKE PRACTICE TESTS

take one of each first - then focus on the test you did better on 

one of my biggest regrets is taking SAT prep instead of ACT prep because my ACT (which I didn’t do specialized prep for) ended up equivalent to my SAT (which I did prep for)

the more you take em the better you get

Studyblr is gr8 for finding test taking tips

If you’re not happy with your score, just take it again! I only took each one once but most people improve their scores if they take it again

I recommend visiting a few universities when you’re on break! Get a feel for what you like and what you don’t like (size, location, public/private, etc) and what kind of school you could get accepted to

you don’t want to end up applying to a billion schools that you wouldn’t even want to go to

private schools like it when you express interest by visiting

so if you’re visiting, make sure you check in so you can be in their system 

END OF JUNIOR YEAR - ASK FOR LETTERS OF REC NOW! BY THE FIRST WEEK OF SENIOR YEAR A LOT OF TEACHERS ARE ALREADY TAKING ON TOO MANY LETTERS!

Senior Year (buckle up this section is the longest)

but YAY UR A SENIOR 

DO FUN SENIOR YEAR THINGS like my school has all kinds of events for seniors and it’s so great 

Remember when I said junior year is the hardest? Yeah well no... 1st semester senior year is SO MUCH WORSE ur in for a lot of fun

Ok seriously - don’t let senioritis get to you first semester

Still take challenging classes! Schools are looking for progression in difficulty

Those mid year transcripts REALLY DO MATTER! 

College apps, man

Make sure you’re communicating with your counselor to make sure you have everything ready and on track 

like file the FAFSA and CSS (used for lots of privates)

tbh I didn’t think it would help me a lot but it (the CSS) actually did so just do it even if you think you’ll get nothing

Ok so hopefully at this point you have a feel for what schools you are interested in

Things to consider: location, price, size, public/private, difficulty of the application, ranking, program/major you are applying to, campus, overall vibe

I didn’t do any interviews but maybe look into it

Don’t get too comfortable and set reasonable goals - apply to several safety schools, a few good options/could go either way schools, but also a few “reaches”

ESSAYS

I’m no college counselor, but don’t just wing your essays without having an adult/professional look over them

I got lucky - my mom is a professional writer so my family didn’t pay for a counselor

Do your research - you can find so much information about what schools are looking for in essays

If an essay is “optional” DO IT it’s really not optional lol

Keep in mind - these essays are nothing like what you’ve been taught. You don’t have to (and often SHOULDNT) write a 5 paragraph essay with topic sentences relating back to the thesis and evidence, etc. its much more free

think “What is the story I am going to tell?”

get creative - this is hard and takes some time

Think: How am I going to separate myself from thousands of applicants? What is a story that ONLY I can tell?

DO EARLY ACTION FOR AS MANY SCHOOLS AS POSSIBLE!!!

acceptance rates are higher for EA 

the order from highest to lowest is ED > EA > RD

Early Decision scares me (schools will say they give equal scholarship consideration but lol thats a lie) 

but if you have your heart set on a school go ahead

apply to other school just in case, you don’t want to get stuck starting all your apps when a lot of students have already turned them all in

Now that you’re done with applications (whew), the acceptances (and rejection) will start coming!! yay!

BUT! If you’re serious about it, try appealing for financial aid but keep your expectations low

at some schools if you dont within a couple days, your application might get thrown out

make sure you really map out everything to consider

net cost (tuition, room & board, books, travel, personal expenses, etc.), size, location, etc.

I personally had this idea that I’d end up at a big school far from home but I’m going to a small school close to home and I’m still super excited!!! So make sure you give every school a second look 

APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS!

the essays aren’t usually too bad and sometimes you can just rework your college app essays

you can find them online, your school might have some (like PTA scholarships, band scholarships, etc.)

ok this is the time everyone really gets senioritis

i almost didn’t get senioritis at all lol just because slacking off stressed me out

but please be smart about it dont get rescinded 

and lastly have fun! high school really does fly by, it’ll be over before you know it

As if Andromeda didnt get hit hard for not covering expectations and those 5 years of waiting for Mass Effect went on a project filled with crunch, delays and putting the mayor workload of young developers just to get all its dlcs canceled. No matter how Anthem goes, a mmo needs constant mantienance and attention. Bioware's entire workforce wont ever be focused on just one game. DA4 appears to be the game that makes or breaks Bioware as a studio and EA always goes extremely hard when it puts people on that situation.

Dont get your expectations high when youre just going to wait. EA only rewards you when youre paying whale sized amounts of money. Entertainment hasnt been its focus for a long time.

And be absolutely certain the story will end in a DLC. Most of the mayor plot points in the sequels have been taken from DLCs since origins. EA is going to squeeze money like a lemon since story based games are on thin ice.
