Genshin Impact, except the party system is portrayed by Lumine breaking into people's homes in the middle of the night, handing them weapons, and asking for help committing hillichurl genocide or fighting gods.

As the story goes on she's fully blipping across Teyvat to assemble her fucking Avengers Initiative-ass dream team to resurrect and kill the Dendro Dragon for the fourth week in a row.

She eventually starts calling people in for non-combat situations- by the time she gets to Fontaine she'll just go "oh, murder trial? I know two lawyers and three detectives, I'm sure Kuki could use a break," and "I'm not sure how to talk to Furina but I feel like she's the same kind of autistic as Fischl, lets' get that conversation going," and "Oh, one of these people betrayed this person's father like 10 years ago? Nahida can read minds, let's see if she wants to cheat at among us."

And Lumine is slowly becoming a glorified subcontrator and it's driving her insane but like. the concept of not asking for help is so baffling to her. She hasn't fought anything herself in months, she's just... throwing the right people at the right problems. She has a fucking business card binder. She'd be obscenely wealthy if she weren't funnelling all her Mora right back into the people that help her out.

There's a fireworks vendor in Inazuma who has fought and killed a Sumerian sand worm. An astrologist from Mondstadt faced the Raiden Shogun's blade in combat and went right back to her little wizard cave to eat another salad. An undead child in Liyue makes regular trips north to fight Oceanid because it keeps beating up a Fatui Harbinger.

The point of it all; the point of the very laws of Teyvat, is that you can't do it alone. You have to work together. A single person- a single Vision wielder- cannot make an Elemental Reaction. Lumine herself, who can use any element she resonates with, still can only use one at a time. It's so obvious to her. It's not how any other world works; she's been to them. It's just Teyvat. And maybe it's like that for a reason.

Somebody mentioned in a tag on one of my posts the scene where Marco Animorphs is showering after antmageddon and he finds an ant stuck to his hip by the pincers where it presumably was trying to bite him in half when he was an ant and then it died from him becoming very big very fast and I feel like that scene, and the scene where Cassie finds a sliver of a sentient person’s flesh between her teeth while she’s flossing and then flosses until her gums bleed, really deserve recognition in the literary canon. Applegate deserves an award. There should be a TV Trope named after whatever the fuck that is. Like fridge horror but diegetic. Bathroom horror. Your bedtime bathroom routine as an opportunity for personal confrontation with the violent detritus of the dead which lingers in and on your body even after you have ostensibly stripped yourself of weapons and healed over all your wounds.

Okay, so I have read a lot of fics where Dogma joins the Coruscant Guard post-Umbara as a way to protect him, or he joins the Guard because the 501st doesn't like him, but I have a new CG Dogma AU concept.

Rex sends Dogma to the Guard specifically to look after Fox. He KNOWS Fox is overworked and the Guard is understaffed, but Fox just isn't asking for help as much as Rex would like, so he sends Dogma over because if Rex can't be there to look after Fox himself, he might as well as send the next best thing. Dogma is a little skeptical about it at first, but Rex tells him that he is legitimately the best man for the job specifically BECAUSE of his personality (he's got reason to believe Fox will have a soft spot for someone who reminds him of Rex).

He tells Fox that this is something he and Dogma discussed because the kind of work the Guard does is a better match for Dogma, but that he's also one of Rex's most impressive soldiers. Fox sees right through Rex and is not impressed at being assigned a babysitter, especially not some barely-not-a-shiny sergeant from the 501st. It's almost insulting, but the paperwork has already gone through so he can't say no or just send Dogma back.

But Rex knew what he was doing and Dogma IS a lot like Rex and he thrives in the Guard and it turns out he gets along incredibly well with Fox and, due to some special insider info from Rex, is perfectly capable of helping keep an eye on his new Commander.

sorry but saying that the accessibility needs of mentally disabled people are just preferences or about "comfort" is blatantly incorrect. if i can't enter a building because the bright lights and loud noises would send me into a meltdown, then i can't enter the building, and that's not less important than me not being able to enter a building because it's not wheelchair accessible. if you genuinely think that mentally disabled people aren't really struggling, and that it's okay to mock their very real concerns, then that just shows that you've been refusing to listen to their experiences. do better or shut the fuck up.

Hey! This is a good question!! Agere isn't a medical thing in the sense that it's a condition that needs treatment, but it is a medically recognized and longstanding coping mechanism for people dealing with trauma or stress!!

That said, everyone feels it differently and people who age regress can experience it both voluntarily and involuntarily! That usually depends on the person, the amount they desire to regress and their emotional state!!

there is simply something so helplessly wicked about begging and pleading and reasoning with your partner to pleasure them, for merely their own good, out of the sheer kindness of your heart (and, admittedly, the unbearably fervid stirring in your gut). and do you know what? henry would delight in that a whole lot; he would put that tendency of yours to use so frequently it could be considered routine.

as i've discussed on this blog, i believe him to be someone who isn't exactly in dire need of intimacy, let alone anything of overly sexual nature, wherefore he would be perfectly willing and even eager to tease it out of you for as long as you can bear, as he wouldn't be the one to have launched the initiative (the fact whereof he would use against you shamelessly). in fact, he would urge you to the limits of your sanity — have you teetering around them sheepishly, and you'd still follow his every order. plus, we know he has that elitist urge to force people into submission with his charm and imposition, so this is only an added ego polishing for him. painfully true, and yet too good not to give in to. he would 100% have a thing for degradation, and who are you not to play into that? antithetically, it would be an utter sin not to do so.

as for a specific scenario, i'm thinking it would have to take place during the late hours of a day which has left you feeling useless and idle, with you merely being set on doing what you know and have numerously proven to excel at: pleasuring henry. he, on the other hand, would have to be in one of his more sullen, stern moods — more rigid than usual, perhaps even angered — in order to elicit that acrimony, that torment out of him. he'd have to be so utterly spent emotionally that he would abandon his studies for the night, and instead merely linger, sunk in an armchair, nursing a tumbler with scotch that is considered far too expensive for a university student. he will have just finished his third cigarette in a row, when you, all class and dignity at first, would initiate, “is there anything i can do for you?”

of course, the inquiry would be vague enough not to immediately translate as being of lascivious fashion (even though that would be your honest and admitted goal), and he would simply scoff in response, if offer any answer at all. this is when you'd approach, maybe adding a pinch of suggestiveness to your air by innocently undoing the topmost button of your blouse and gracefully lowering yourself into his lap. he wouldn't flinch nor try to remove you in any way, though express his distaste differently: having briefly drunk, he'd scrutinize you fiercely, and maintain that strict expression one could easily crumble under after a certain amount of time. you'd wiggle in your seat, then, and your intentions would be clear.

this is when he'd say, “i do not like this backward strategy of getting your way by asking for something you so clearly seem to want.”

“henry—” you'd want to put forth an argument, maybe even try to charm him into thawing for you, and reach out your palm to slide up his thigh, and yet, to no avail, as...

“no touching,” he'd interject firmly, gaze fixed, “in fact, get off me. humor the floor with your crude ideology instead.” the command would be sudden, not entirely surprising, and thrilling at once — you'd do precisely as said, scramble to your knees before his spread legs, and fold into a position so small and passive that it would immediately translate to him as an act of submission. nonetheless, it simply wouldn't do.

“if there is something you want, you can try to appeal to me for consideration.”

for this precise reason, you'd begin: lightly at first, holding back for the most part, half-heartedly at best. as a reaction to multiple sequences of rejections, one more blunt and striking than the other, however, you'd soon enough be reduced to a begging, blubbering, sobbing mess for him. your make-up would be ruined before you'd even as much as laid a finger on him — or he on you — with your eyelashes stuck together as a doll's and your face aglow in the dim light, upsettingly. and still, he'd string you along, growing more and more derisive each time, more hurtful, more harsh — “can't you do better than that?” — which would affect your act tremendously. you'd sit there, restless and needy, with streaks of tears, some dry and some being drawn in real time, gasping for some of the tension-thick air and whimpering for him to have mercy on you. the situation would only be exacerbated by the fact that all the while, you would be able to see the clear, prominent, swollen outline of his hardness in his strained slacks, and instinctively grow even more frustrated with the realization he would deny both of you this kind of pleasure — until he wouldn't, and the permission to do so would finally glide from his lips.

you wouldn't need to be told twice, then. the tears of pleading would dry, only to be replaced by new ones, except this time for an entirely different reason — a reason you'd shed them for more gladly, in all honesty. and in the end, it will have been worth it. especially worth the deep kisses he'd place upon you after pulling you up by your face and folding you back into him upon his lap as a crooked rendition of gratitude.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

When August was a little baby vamp, he was deathly scared of humans - they were his biggest fear. His parents would spin tales about human hunters and mobs and tell August that the cruel, nasty humans would rip him limb from limb if given the chance. He believed that humans were vampires natural predator...not the other way around.

He lived in a big stately home growing up, and his family had MANY blood bags. August used to avoid them like the plague, wouldn't even make eye contact. But he did feel sorry for them. One day when he'd been 'naughty', his mother dragged him kicking and screaming and locked him in the cellar overnight, where their human blood bags were kept, to teach him a lesson. Poor August pounded his tiny fists on the door and was hiccupping/crying/screaming for his mother to come back and save him. He really thought he was going to die. That the humans could get their revenge for what his family has done to them.

He's never been that scared in his life to this day.

yes!!! it's me!!! i'm ryomina fan (one of many)!!! thank you for visiting my askbox, i'll do my best to answer all of the questions because it always makes me happy to see that ryomina sparks joy for people! :D

...this got really long because i like linking to things, so i'm putting it under a read more (IM VERY NORMAL ABOUT THEM)

how did i get into it? i got into persona 3 around august 2021 through the movies- at the time my only experience with the persona series was with P5R / P5S / P5D. p3 was the one that interested me the most (i thought minato was very pretty + i caught wind that the themes of the game were very resonant with people). i picked the movies over the game because i'm a guy who plays games at a snails pace, haha.

admittedly, i did latch onto ryomina because of the scenes in the third and fourth movie (i have mentioned in the tags of this art i drew how much i felt like i was exploding and blasting off to the moon watching it).

but what really dug me into the ryomina hole (and what has kept me there) was thinking about how much ryoji encapsulates the themes of p3- and how interconnected his fate is with minato. i wrote some musings about their dynamic here, if you're interested!

tl;dr: what if we were both boys and we were mirror images of each other and i inherited your kindness and looks but god doomed our narrative even though we're soulmates

on ryomina fanworks recommendations:

regarding fics: i'm going to assume that you've probably read the fics that have the highest kudo ratings on them, so i won't really be listing those.

a personal favorite fic that i always hold close to my heart is Eurydice's Vow by crescentmoontea, which explores the idea of ryomina in p5r's third semester. this was the first fic i read about ryomina and it made me tear up lots...

i also think a lot about I Alone Await You by Nail_gun, literally scrumptious writing that captures the ryomina dynamic so so well. actually check out Nail_gun's other ryomina fics while you're at it too!

other fun fic i'm fond of: can't get my mind out of those memories (what were they?) by foxmulder_whereartthou. ryoji being homeless lives rent free in my head and it's all because of this fic. there's a bunch of other fun ryominas from the same author too (i still need to read them)

BkZa555 also has some fun AU scenarios if you're into that too, notably with Zagreus (P5-Setting, Ryoji focus) and The Definition of Insanity (TIME LOOP fuckery!), but they're currently ongoing.

these were some ones that came to my mind first- as i have the strongest recollection reading them. admittedly i haven't really been reading fic this year, so i don't have many recommendations from fic that came out this year. but if you're so inclined to let ryomina consume your soul, i definitely recommend giving the newer works in the ryomina tag a look-see and see if it strikes your fancy!

as a side note, i do have a few ryomina fics that i've bookmarked on my ao3 here, though i have to say that i'm not sure how well they hold up in terms of like... what i would seek out of a fic these days. but they made past me happy so i bookmarked them, LOL. it's kind of outdated (my collection of fic recs has my old username *disintegrates*).

regarding doujinshi: i have not read all the ryomina doujinshi available, but as a starting point, please take a look at this list from pandora-scans from livejournal!

notably, this is where you can find the strawberry-chan say good bye doujin- which features a small and cute comic from shuji sogabe (the p3/p4 manga artist), as well as other artists. the existence of this doujinshi is the funniest thing to me because it's like "HEY if you're wondering what the volume 8 cover is really gay it's because sogabe contributed to a ryomina doujin." this fact makes my head spin (positive). it explains a lot about the manga.

regarding persona side material:

i know you didn't ask for these but i thought that i mine as well list these too, since i feel that the side materials have some fun expansions on ryoji and minato's interactions. i haven't... watched/read all of these but, hey, i like to share these things!

for comic anthologies for the persona series (some of which have ryoji!). if you're interested in reading them, here's a scanlation index from maboroshi-no on tumblr. i don't think this is a comprehensive list, but i think it will be a great starting point!

Haha, I will GLADLY talk about more worldbuilding nonsense.

So, uh--more made-up KH myths, haha, but I kind of had the idea that there are all sorts of stories about Kingdom Hearts and the X-blade that are only like...partially true. They're an amalgamation of stories that have changed over time as people have told them, with probably a lot of people disagreeing on the specifics. (Which is also 100% my justification for anything someone says about Kingdom Hearts/the X-blade War/etc. that seems to contradict information from earlier; they're all just going off different stories that they've heard, which may or may not be true.) The original idea, though, was that the heart of the original world had to be locked away for its own protection, and a single individual was given the only key to unlock it and charged with protecting it. (...Uh. At least in the Fallen Stars-verse, haha.)

Anyway, I like to think that the X-blade doesn't specifically need to have "13 Darknesses and 7 Lights" to reform; that's just one of many, many stories that cropped up about it. It just needs a large amount of Light and Darkness; essentially, it's a sort of, "When things get out of balance, the weapon will return to give people the ability to access the world's heart and restore it" sort of thing.

Venitas exists because Xehanort THOROUGHLY fucked up. Like--technically the weapon just comes when there's enough light and darkness fighting in an area to cause a significant disturbance, but it's not really supposed to be like...such a big disturbance in a single person. They already had a lot going on just as a person pulled apart (like. The trauma that would've caused them, man--), but if combined with a potential Ancient Darkness/Light--it basically made a mess of things. (Congrats, Xehanort! You have created an entity that is kind of a demigod entirely by accident.)

hiii re: your most recent post, im pretty sure i remember the voice actor of spanish dub dean confirming that y yo a ti was not scripted? there was a panel a while ago where either he or the spanish dub director said it was not scripted/part of the translation but was a choice made by the team on the day based on the rest of the work they had done on the series. sort of along the lines of like, they decided to add y yo a ti bc they knew the show well and knew that's the right response for dean? i would have to dig through 2 years of my blog to find a source for this but I do remember it
