I've barely had any time to work on anything this week, so I'd be surprised if I got around to any of the other prompts, but when I read the Day 3 prompt, this scene immediately popped into my mind, and I did manage something quick & dirty with my ink markers and a digital filter or two.

Technically AU, since Izuku's too young and mistaking Toshi for another All Might superfan while Toshi's all "Don't tell your mom", but close enough to canon to count as a submission?

Never had a unhostile conversation in over a decade? Obviously they're besties.

Because they are often in the same place at plot significant moments (and because Horikoshi often doesn't give his story any breathing room for downtime), people get the impression that Izuku and Bakugou interact often. But it's directly in the text that for the majority of their lives (and at least a quarter of the manga), they never talked to each other outside of necessity.

The "childhood friend" thing and All for One's projection of Kudoichi onto the both of them has poisoned a lot of the fandom's perception of their relationship. It's in the School Briefs that Izuku knew they weren't actually childhood friends but that he had no other word for it. Yes, Izuku still calls him by a childhood nickname that indicates closeness. Because he wasn't able to make any other connections after his quirkless diagnosis and he was holding onto any human connection he had. The fact that he calls him Kacchan only further emphasizes that any positive relationship they had ended at an age where calling him cutesy names was socially appropriate - because the other childhood friends - Bakugou's middle school lackeys - call him Katsuki.

All for One assumed Izuku and Bakugou are closest because the only person he ever genuinely cared for was the person he developed in the womb with. And because he sees them as Yoichi and Kudou in his head despite the lack of similarities in their dynamic

You know what, maybe an unpopular opinion but I'm glad Izuku still has that baby face but still looks slightly older.

And I haven't seen it, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually had a problem with him looking like this.

One, he's only 24 - 25. Sorry but some people in their 20s look young... BECAUSE THEY ARE!!

Two, it's not impossible for someone to look younger than you thought they were.

Three, exactly how old should he look?! Hell, look at his mom! He's going to have that face! This is Inko at 29!!

Even at 41 she still has that face! He got his mom' genes, for real!!

Honestly despite my feelings about how the last arc of MHA went down I really love Deku and his story.

I just feel like a lot of the time we get these protagonists whose whole philosophy is it doesn’t matter what you were born as everyone can achieve greatness. But then the series goes on and it turns out that actually it DOES matter because the protagonist has this really great lineage and these really great powers you can only have through birth they were actually born born, predestined if you will, to do this.

But MHA actually sticks to its guns. Midoriya wasn’t revealed to have some great connection to all might that the universe had put in place. He wasn’t defended from some great lineage that makes him uniquely suited to this. Hell All for one didn’t even turn out to be his father, there was no hidden powerful quirk he was always meant to have. He was just Midoriya Izuku a boy who was in the right place at the right time and simply decided to act while the world did nothing. And that’s what really made him a hero.

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I believe him a bit more when he goes anybody can be a hero if you just decide to act

A piece for my Hero x Family AU, which is basically MHA with the plot of Spy x Family. Set 4 years prior to canon, and the class 1-A kids are all still six yrs old. Inko has no idea that Toshi is All Might. Toshi doesn't know Izuku is quirkless or that Inko's quirk is accidentally overpowered. They're living together because of circumstances, and just so happen to slowly improve each other's lives ...

ok i’m doing a reread of my hero academia (and trying to redraw at least one pose per chapter), and i’m just thinking. are there any fics where all might gets de-aged (either physically, or mentally AND physically) temporarily to junior high age during the ten months he’s training izuku?

Toshinori is resigned to asking Gran Torino to assume guardianship rights.

He asks Izuku how Aldera is, gets a vague answer, and then schemes to infiltrate Izuku’s very class. Very confidently, he announces he is Quirkless at the very first day. Results vary.

Gran Torino reviews the American Dream plan. He looks at Toshinori and Toshinori looks anywhere else. In the spirit of teamwork and Quirkless camaraderie, Gran Torino makes Toshinori follow an even harsher plan to match Izuku’s stress level.

izuku, seeing toshinori doubled over and retching: ??!?!?!?
