The fandom has a lot AUs playing with Zoroark making the whole thing verrrry over saturated overall in my opinion. (also a lot of them kinda make me feel uncomfortable) Yours however really hits the right amount of wholesome to me without any feelings of being uncomfortable!

A question I have however is this: The Zoroark is growing fond of Ingo's company more and more. How would the Zoroark react to Ingo's possibility of returning home?

As for zoroarks reaction: they would be sad of course but accepting, as they never had the expectation to have a friend, let alone keep the only one they had. That would be much to convenient and lucky to find company that lasts

They are lonely, yes, and would want Ingo to stay ,of course, but he knows that ingo has family, friends, that ‘man in white’ he always asks to see from him, to get back to. He would never think to keep ingo there

And so he says good bye, with a smile, and thank you, for keeping this old pokemon company.

And maybe, with outstretched hand, ingo looks at him - zoroark with no pack and no family, and, most importantly, a very good friend - and asks him to come along
