Knowing is half the battle. Lies. Overthinking the situation is half the fucking battle and often leads to all out war. And right now you wished you could go back in time about fifteen minutes to nope out of the current conversation.
“I’m just saying,” Junhee shrugged and picked up his can of Coke, “it can’t hurt to try it out. Just a week—seven days.”
Yuchan forced a laugh. “Come on. We’d kill each other by day two. I’m not her type. She’s into gym rats and Instagram thots.”
“Excuse you? Where the fuck did you get that impression?”
“See? This is a good example.” Junhee stood up. “Neither of you know the other as nearly as well as you think. Everyone else sees how good you’d be together, so for just for one week, why not try dating? None of the squabbling and insults. An honest effort to be a couple. Then you can reassess your feelings and see how you want to behave.”
A week. It was insane—
“I mean, I could do it.” Yuchan glanced at you. “But I doubt she’d last that long.”
“I’d do it just to spite you.”
“That sounds like an agreement!” Junhee clapped. “Alright, shake on it. Boyfriend and girlfriend until this time next week.”
Your face fell once the words sunk in. Yuchan turned to you and stuck out his hand. Really, you could’ve just walked out, but you knew doing so would only give him something to brag about. Your hand trembled as it grasped his and you shook. Before you could pull it back, Yuchan flipped your hands over and pressed his warm, chapped lips to the back of yours.
“The pleasure will be all mine, sweetness.”

Happy Birthday to my perfect ult 😘🎂🎉🥳🎊🎈🎁💜
The nerves heavily built in the room as you sat there watching the pregnancy test on the table. Your fingers laced with your best friend Kim Byeongkwan who was also doing the same with his lover Kim Sehyoon. "If it's negative, remember to not let it get to you," Sehyoon said to help your emotions. "Yeah it means we get to have more fun again," Byeongkwan winks your way feeling your nervousness spiralling out of control. This was something you wasn't so sure of when Byeongkwan first asked you. But now you had imagined being a mum it's all you wanted. Even if the family dynamic was a little extreme. "I can't look," you said dropping your hand and contact from Byeongkwan. "It'll be ok, have faith," he gave a nervous chuckle as you made your way to the window. "Holy shit," he gasped as your body shot to face him. His figure was shaking slightly with the stick in his grip. Eyes brushing with Sehyoon they both smiled wide with excitement. "What does it say?" You gasped making your way back to them both. "We're going to have a baby Y/N," Byeongkwan said with pure excitement that he threw himself at you. "Be careful of the baby," Sehyoon snapped as you lost your balance to fall back on the sofa, with Byeongkwan clinging to you for dear life. "We're having a baby," he shrieked ignoring his partner's concern. -------------------🔺-------------------
From then everything changed. Like they had suggested they brought a bigger house. A three bedroom in the suburbs. Sehyoon had used his connections with his friend Kang Yuchan’s media company to further your career. You had expected your relationship to become something a little less conventional. But the former relationship after your antic switched back. Sehyoon being very careful to not be too close to you. You put his words during the night you conceived down to over thought emotions. Maybe he newly found a Breeding Kink or maybe it was part of his claim kink. While you imagined Sehyoon to be the one who wrapped you in cotton wool. It surprised you that instead it was Byeongkwan. Every sniffle, cough, hiccup had him in a panicked frenzy. Becuase of his meltdown, it turned to Sehyoon to be the calm one rubbing your back as you spewed into the toilet when the morning sickness hit. All while Byeongkwan would shop for anything to help ease your symptoms. Bowls of chicken soup, peppermint tea and ginger biscuits always awaiting you with what looked like several bottles of water. The thermometer in his shaky hands waiting when you enter as you hear Sehyoon Sigh. "Babe She's not dying it's morning sickness," he would grumble as he walked with his hand on your back to the sofa. Byeongkwan always leaping up to find a blanket to throw over you as he started bringing his after Sickness food snacks. ------------------🔺--------------------
However, it hit a different emotional level when you had your first scan. Your baby looking like they was dancing inside your tiny pregnant formed stomach. Byeongkwan was split between laughter and tears. Sehyoon’s eyes glazing over teary as his hands fell into yours. Watching the way they looked at each other and then you, was just as emotional. ---------------------🔺-----------------
Just a couple months later the scenes repeated but this time Byeongkwan was overly excited. "Can you tell us what we're having?" He asked as Sehyoon shot his gaze upon him. "Wait I thought we decided we didn't want to know," he said with his eyes furrowed. "You decided, I didn't . I want to know. No I need to know," he blurted out as his eyes look to yours for permission. "Fine, but I don't, so I'm going to step out the room," Sehyoon said reluctant leaving you both. "But I won't be impressed if either you two tell me," he warned as he left the room. "It's a Boy right?" Byeongkwan giggled impatiently. "You are indeed having a son," the sonographer blurted out as you watched Byeongkwan looked stunned. “I knew it,” he said looking pleased with his prediction. “I swore you said it was going to be a girl,” you teased him as he rolled his eyes your way. “I said I wanted a daughter, not that we were going to have one,” he said happily excitedly shaking his head as your hand fell to your growing bump. "He's going to be so beautiful if he takes after his daddy's," you said feeling your heart warm. You wondered if he would have Byeongkwan’s Eyes, but then that would practically confirm the biological father to you all. Maybe Sehyoon’s comforting calm personality be thrown into your child. Atleast you could kid yourself it was the environment rather then genetics. "If he takes after his mum he will be perfect," Byeongkwan said picking your hand up to leave a kiss upon them. "You admitting I'm beautiful?” you said with a cheeky wink. "Shhhh," he said chuckling with a wink of an eye as he looked at the screen once more. "And he's a very healthy boy at that," the sonographer confirmed. Byeongkwan's grin widened that made you feel giddy with happiness. Holding the scan picture in his grip he looked lost in the world of just him and his son. "He's so beautiful Y/N," he sighed as you elbowed him seeing Sehyoon walk towards you. "Remember he doesn't want to know," you growled as you smiled Sehyoon's way. "Have I got one?" Sehyoon asked intrigued with Byeongkwan's scan picture. "Here," you smiled passing him the envelope. Taking the photo out his smile matched Byeongkwan's. "Look at you two turning into messes," you chuckled as Sehyoon put his arm around you. "Let's go home," he said as Byeongkwan slowly walked behind you memorised. ------------------🔺--------------------
How on earth Sehyoon didn't guess the multiple times Byeongkwan slipped he in conversation. But when Sehyoon found the stash of Boy clothing you hid in the nursery he looked disappointed your way. "I was so hoping Byeongkwan was teasing me," he said placing the clothes on the kitchen table. "Why was you snooping in the closest when you knew I knew the gender and was shopping," you moaned scooping up your Soup. "I just...." he paused as he thought hard. "You disappointed?" You asked looking up at him worried. "Jesus no, I'm happy, just feels like I didn't get the excitement with the surprise," he said thumberling with his fingers. "I should have found out when you both did," he pouted as you made your way towards him. "But I am happy, happy were going to have a healthy son," he said resting his palm over your bump. "Our son is going to be perfect," you said resting your hand over his in a moment of pure bliss. However, there was a spark of something more. His eyes glazing over with an expression you hadn't viewed since you conceived. His hand turned to your face to cup them in his palm. You could feel the need of him wanting something much more then the friendship you had built. But it felt wrong with Byeongkwan not included. This moment in time it felt like you were doing something awful sunbathing in the electric atmosphere between you both. Sehyoon closed his eyes removing his hand as guilt drove through you. Before he could speak Byeongkwan came through the door. "What's got you two looking so awkward," Byeongkwan said noticing the atmosphere between you both. "He knows," you stutter avoiding Sehyoon's eyes. Sehyoon who had composed himself looked to his lover with a deadpan expression. "You finally listened to something I said. I've been hinting for weeks," Byeongkwan chuckled as he hanged his coat up. "However, no excuse to be all up in the air with Y/N," he said with a slight scolding tone. "He found the boys baby clothes," you said biting your lips. "Wait you brought baby clothes for our son without me," Byeongkwan snapped looking a little hurt. "Hold up your bitter at her yet I've told you it was a boy several times," Byeongkwan said before you could try and apologise. "I was hoping you was playing games with me," Sehyoon said with a sulking tone you hadn't witnessed before. "Well surprise were having a son," Byeongkwan said with his usual happy face. It took a couple of seconds to crack Sehyoon who rolled his eyes and took to the sofa. "And you missy," he said pointing at you as you gulped. "You promised me we would go clothes shopping together and you went alone," he pouted as you smirked. "Don't smile at me you're such a traitor I won't forgive you," he said crossing his arms. Sneaking your arms around him you tilted your head into his neck snuggling up to him. "Sorry," you said as he held back a chuckle. Sehyoon’s eyes was heavy focused on your usual friendship hug. His emotions blank as guilt ran through you letting him go. "Hey I need more persuasion for your apology," Byeongkwan scoffed feeling the emptiness. "Your lover looks like he would murder me if I hold you a second longer," you scoff watching Sehyoon's eyes widen at your joke. "Haha Kim Sehyoon are you jealous of our baby mama," Byeongkwan says pleased with this revelation. "Whatever," he said rolling his eyes as guilt hit you that he was feeling jealous. Had you crossed the line between them both? Had emotions between you three got out of hand? Your heart beat at the memories of their promise you wouldn't lose them. Though for now you hadn't, but the fear of that happening really threw anxiety and fear into your mind. --------------------🔺------------------
Things got slightly awkward afterwards. Sehyoon didn't like being alone with you, avoiding touching you unless you needed to for the baby. Yet when ever Byeongkwan was his usual clingy self you could see Sehyoon's eyes following you both, like some jealous boyfriend. You had witnessed Byeongkwan being jealous, but not Sehyoon. You had started to avoid them both, being sick in a bucket in your room with the music loud so they couldn't hear. Working late, to avoid going home so quickly. So when Yuchan offered a week long work trip you jumped up at it.
Sehyoon's jaw tensed slightly as Byeongkwan's eyes widened when you said you would be away for a week. "Y/N I thought we was a team, you can't just take our baby away for a whole week," he scoffed not amused as you tilted your head his way. "First it's work, which you guys agreed was very important and secondly I'm not taking your baby away, don't be melodramatic," you said deadpanning his way. "What if he kicks and we're not there to feel it," he said crossing his arms making you chuckle. "Then I am sure he will do that when I get home too," you said as he frowned. "Y/N it's a once a time offer when it's their firsts," he whined as you pressed your hands to his arm. Feeling Sehyoon's eyes zoom on the interaction, you dragged your hands back looking guilty his way. "Look through this whole journey their will be times all of us will be missing firsts. We take risks we will miss those everyday. It's not like any of us can quit working is their," you said softly as Byeongkwan sulked like a pubescent teenager. "Plus I'm sure he will wait for his daddy to be around when he decides to use me as a football," you smiled stroking your bump. "Why have you got nothing to add?” Byeongkwan said turning to Sehyoon for support. "We promised to respect the boundaries set," he said shrugging avoiding eye contact your way. "Fine," Byeongkwan said throwing himself back in to the chair as you chuckled at his childish actions. "Look I promise to have my vitamins, I promise to message you every day. You can even call and I’ll put the phone to my belly. You can have a conversation if you need to," you said reassuringly as he deadpanned your way. "Yeah how’s that going to work. It’s not like we can communicate," he said sulky. "Plus you two get to have some you two time," you said looking to Sehyoon. "It must be so hard having a women you both rammed living in your house," you added as Sehyoon blinked to your words. Silence filled the air as they both thought. "Y/N why you talking," , "Thanks Y/N I appreciate that. Me and Byeongkwan could do with enjoying the alone time," Sehyoon said cutting Byeongkwan off. The latter looked to him confused. "Right that's agreed so I need to get packing," you said before Byeongkwan could ask any more questions. --------------------🔺------------------
"So do you have a boyfriend?” Yuchan asked while tucking into your Jjajangmyeong. "I'm pregnant," you said brushing your hands over your belly as you deadpanned his way. "But you're a surrogate, aren't you?" He said popping some food in his mouth. "Well that's what Sehni said," he said focusing on his food. The word surrogate reminded you that you wasn't romantic in any way with them, despite the little butterfly feeling they gave you. "How about I introduce you to a friend?" He offered smiling your way. "I don't know Channie," you said pushing your hair behind your ear. "Well he's got a meeting here tomorrow, he could pop in, have a couple of drinks," he said eyes blinking at his words. "Well something not alcohol for you," he said smiling his radiant smile. "It’ll be nice to meet him, but don't get your hopes up I'm not exactly in a condition to date," you said showing your body to him. "You can take the time to get to know each other first and then when you popped then date," he said with his deep belly chuckle. "It won't work but hey I could do with more friends to socialise," you said playing with your food. The sudden familiar sickness was biting at you once again as you placed your chopsticks down. "You ok?" Yuchan asked with slight concern. "Yeah just fed up with this pregnancy sickness," you said getting up and wobbling. "Woah, take it easy, do you want me to call Sehni?” He asked concerned as you shook your head. "He and Kwannie will only worry," you said holding on to the wall as you felt weak. "But they should do, that's their baby," he said as your body tensed up. It hurt to hear so much how you were suddenly being perceived as not this child's mum. Is this how Byeongkwan really felt? Is this why Sehyoon had gone strangely off with you? "It's my body that's not working great, their baby is absolutely fine," you said with your eyes fixed sternly on Yuchan’s face. "Their your friends they will still want to know," Yuchan said with clear apprehension on his features. "As an friend I'm entitled to my privacy," you said as he looked defeated with the conversation. Sitting on your bed you felt your head spin. Your emotions feeling overwhelming and confused. ------------------🔺--------------------
You woke up to several missed calls from Byeongkwan. Just as you was about to reply to him, Yuchan dashed into your room. "Y/N, they've moved the meeting early we got an hour to get there," he said with panic in his face. Propping the phone into your pocket you smiled reassuring his way. "It's ok, Calm, we can do this I'm almost ready," you said walking towards him. "You've not had breakfast," he said looking worried. "It's ok I will just grab something on the way," you said as you watched him relax a little. -----------------🔺---------------------
However, in the rush you arrived having forgot to purchase something as you felt your stomach rumble. Yuchan thankfully hadn't heard as you knew he would be nagging you further. "Hi Miss Y/N," your client said taking your hand and pressing kisses to it. "Hi Mr Park," you said holding your hand back as you took his pretty features. You could feel Yuchan's eyes on you as you were getting lost in Junhee's. "I'm Yuchan, Kang Yuchan," Yuchan said offering his hand breaking the eye contact. "Thank you for coming all this way to see me," he said as he sat at his desk. Many shows that his tv company's was hoping to produce this year was the pipeline of Yuchan’s PR company's success. The meeting seemed to take ages as you discussed the reality and survival shows that his company wanted yours to give positive PR for. "Well here's my number," he said passing Yuchan his Card. "Incase you need to get in contact with me," he added as he picked another one up. "Or just to chat," he said holding yours to you. "I think it's wonderful doing such a sweet thing," he said sweetly as your eyebrows furrowed confused. "Mr Kang tells me you're a surrogate," he said as you could feel your body tense to that word. "Sorry, I know it's none of my business. I'm sorry I shouldn't have spoke so personally," Mr Park said as his eyes looked with sincerity. "It's ok, just it's complicated," you said honestly as he smiled his way to you. "Well if there's anything I can do just give me a call," he said. "Thanks Mr Park," you replied words failing you. "Call me Junhee," he said as he looked dazzling into your eyes. "But for now let's all have lunch together," he said as your body tensed. You knew food would no doubt make you queasy. "We've got another schedule to attend to, but I'm sure we would love to soon, maybe one day this week before we return back home," Yuchan said feeling the tension from your body. "Ok I will keep you to your word," Junhee said standing up straightening his jacket before offering Yuchan's hand. Yuchan mirrored him, smiling as he bowed to him before Junhee took your hand in his. "Till then Y/N," he said with a warming smile your way. "Thank you Mr Park," you replied bowing. "I told you call me Junhee," he said softly. "Sorry Junhee," you said with what you were sure was a blush. He really was very pretty to look at. But the slight dizziness reminded you you were carrying another man's child. "Jesus Y/N the man's nerve," Yuchan said as you left the building. "What, you were the one telling me to seek dating," you said holding his card in your palm. "Yeah Donghun not Mr Park," he scoffed raising his hand for the taxi coming its way. "What's wrong with him he's quite charming," you said as he opened the car door with his eyebrow arched. "Wasn't you the one tensing up at his offer of lunch?" He queried as you slid into the taxi. "I can't eat in front of strangers. It makes me anxious especially with this sickness," you said rubbing your bump. "You still haven't eaten," Yuchan scoffed concerned. "It's ok Channie, I'll make something when we get back to the apartment," you said as he didn't look reassured. "I promised Sehni I would look after you, please tell me you took your vitamins today," he said which made your eyes roll. That was till you couldn't remember if you had taken them this whole trip. "You didn't did you?" Yuchan whined your way. "I honestly can't remember it's been so chaotic since arriving," you said in your defence. "So no vitamins today, nor any food," Yuchan asked for confirmation like he hadn't been with you all day. "It's ok, I’ll sort it when we're back," you tried to reassure him. "But we have a video call with head office in half an hour," he said concerned. "It will be ok," you replied with your hand on his shoulder. "It better be," he said with a slight frustration. --------------------🔺------------------
The call was only suppose to take an hour, yet three hours had passed. Your stomach was rumbling like crazy, you felt really nauseas. Sehyoon’s name as well as Byeongkwan's was flashing on your silent phone from their call. Throwing yourself to the back of your chair with exhaustion Yuchan looked at you. "Why don't you have a bath, get changed before Donghun's here and I’ll order something to eat," Yuchan said as you smiled up at him. "Thanks," you said as you passed him to the bathroom for a well needed bath.
------------------🔺--------------------
"I'll get Donghun to bring some food," Yuchan said with some hope as you looked up to him on the sofa. "I don't know, I'm not comfortable eating in front of strangers incase I'm sick," you said with worry. "So what your not going to eat?” he said with his hands on his hips. The takeaway taking two hours to arrive and being noted as delivered when it hadn't had caused a large bout of tension. "Plus he knows your pregnant and I'm sure he wouldn't mind holding your hair as you puke," he said rolling his eyes scoffing. "I don't even let you do that," you said scowling his way. "Fine eat it in your room, but you have to eat," he snapped. "Sehyoon’s already sending narky messages because you've been ignoring them all day," he shot out as you pursed your lips his way. "I've been busy, you know full well we both have," you shot out. ---------------------🔺-----------------
"Food and the main show’s here," the chirpy voice said as he came through the door. Yuchan leaping up to snake his hand around his back welcoming him to the air b&b apartment you were staying in. "This is our wonderful, yummy mummy Y/N," Yuchan said showing his arm to you. "Yeah don't say that," you said cringing with his words. "Oh Channie," Donghun said patting him on the shoulder. "Don't change," he added smirking. "No please do might get less yapping," you said playfully his way. "Thanks for getting the food, we've both not eaten all day," he said grabbing the bag from his older friend and taking it to the table. "Chinese ok with everyone?" Donghun asked. "Y/N won't eat with us," Yuchan said as you felt the nausea attack from the smell of the food. "I promise I won't nag like him," Donghun chuckled your way. "Morning sickness she's anxious," Yuchan said pulling the different tubs on the table. "Anxious for what reason?” he asked you quizzingly. "Well," , "because you don't know me," he cut you off as you nodded. "Well if that makes you more comfortable I won't be disheartened," Donghun said reassuringly, his eyes twinkling in the light. "Thanks," you said as Chan offered you a plate. "Come on eat or I really will tell on you," he nagged as you groaned. --------------------🔺------------------
Like you knew it would, less then five minutes after the first bite you was head in the toilet puking. Your head all over the place when you jumped from a large pair of hands on your back. "I’ve got you some ginger tea, it's said it helps with sickness," he said rubbing it in circles. Instead of being embarrassed you took the cup from him. "Did you go to the shops to get this?" You asked turning to face him as he bent his knees to the floor to your level. "Yes, Yuchan was saying your really having a hard time with the morning sickness," he said concerned as embarrassment hit you. "It's ok my sister Inlaw was the same, drink some your feel better I promise," he said as he slid to the floor to join you. "One of the baby's dads buys this, it don't work," you said feeling doubtful. "It's a special concoction," he smiles unfazed. Taking a sip your eyes widened to find a mixture of flavours, mint and lemon hitting alongside the ginger. "It's lemon balm and Peppermint with ginger," he confirmed smiling as you enjoy sipping the drink. "Sorry this probably wasn't what you planned for your evening with your friend," you apologised as his smile never faltered. "How can I leave such a damsel in distress for some man time," he said chuckling. "I don't think I'm quite the damsel in distress," you said taking a larger gulp of the fluid. "You sure about that," he said as he took the cup from you as your body twisted to face the toilet bowl again. "Thought you said this would work," you cried as your body heaved. "Anythings worth a shot right," he said rubbing your back. Your head was swarming as your stomach felt in knots. But when your vision started to be cloudy you started panicking a little. "I really don't feel right," you whimpered. "I know Y/N," he said not understanding as he continued to comfort you. Twisting to face him as palpitations attacked you. "No I really don't feel good," you said holding on to him as his eyes widened. Hearing the crashing of the door didn't even faze you as you struggled with your failing body. "What the fuck Y/N," you heard the disgust in Byeongkwan's voice as you collapsed into Donghun's chest. -----------------🔺---------------------
You made your way to your room the second your foot hit the apartment. "We need to talk," Sehyoon grumbled with a tone you had never witnessed. "I just need to have a shower first," you said ignoring his request. "No, it can't wait we need to talk now," Sehyoon demanded as you gulped turning to look at them both. You knew the storm that was coming. Their silence from the hospital bed when the consultant confirmed you was anaemic. They were waiting to be alone to rip into you. It would have possibly have happened in the car ride home if it wasn't for the fact your head was in the sick bag for most the journey. But Byeongkwan and Sehyoon's pure silence told you that the storm was brewing. "Can you Atleast let my stomach settle before this upcoming lecture," you begged looking into Sehyoon's eyes as they slightly softened. "No Y/N we need to know what's going on," Sehyoon said less demanding. "I'm pregnant I'm sick I'm anaemic. It's as simple as I said," you said a little edgy. "You been skipping your Vitamins, skipping food. You did this," Byeongkwan snapped as you felt tears escape slightly. "I'm sorry, time just was too chaotic I didn't set out to do this," you whined as Byeongkwan looked with anger in his eyes walked closer to you. "You promised me, you promised me you would look after my baby," he said with his eyes twitching as Sehyoon gently held onto him. "I'm sorry I don't know how many times I need to say this," you said as the tears started to fall. You looked to Sehyoon with almost pleading in your eyes. "Don't give him those puppy eyes, he's super pissed too," Byeongkwan snapped as your head lowered. "We trusted you Y/N. We trusted you to have mine and Sehyoon’s baby. You're letting us down so badly," Byeongkwan said his eye widen with pure anger. "Your baby?" You hit out letting Yuchan words hit you. "Yes our baby," Byeongwan snapped looking at Sehyoon confirming to you that their was no misunderstanding on Yuchan's part. "I'm sorry I will be more careful," you said as you felt your tear escape down your face. "Y/N were just,", "I know I've let you both down, you have every right to be upset when you trusted me with such a big thing like this," you gulped back holding the bust of tears that was threatening to emerge cutting Sehyoon off. "I'm going for my shower now," you said with trembling lips. "Y/N," Sehyoon said softly. "The smell of sick isn't healthy, it will keep me being sick. Which isn't what your baby needs," you said watching Sehyoon's face etch with concern. You waited till he nodded and rushed to the bathroom. Turning the shower you threw yourself in clothes as well. Sinking to the bottom you allowed the burst to fall. Pulling your knees as best as you could to your chest, you rocked as you sobbed quietly. You felt the whole relationship you had with them both was ruined with this arrangement. The promise to not lose your friends falling through. The baby that you also wanted felt like it was being snatched away. --------------------🔺------------------
The atsmophere changed, Sehyoon joined Byeongkwan’s constantly nagging. Each morning Byeongkwan would wake you and drag you to the table to eat. Vitamins and medication were placed into your palm like they could no longly trust you. Their eyes watching as you took each one. Sehyoon would drop you to work. Yuchan would film you taking your medication and eating your lunch to Sehyoon to confirm you was taking care of yourself. The evenings once Sehyoon collected you was just as worse. Listening to their plans for your child. It was like a knife to your stomach hearing them plan their family life. One you knew you wouldn't exist in. --------------------🔺------------------
Feeling your baby kick when you showered hurt so much. Your hands reaching out to feel it once again. You cried with happiness at the growing bundle. But also sadness that you were being expected to leave your child behind. You felt mean but you kept the new development from them. It was like you needed this little bit to yourself.

A hostile breeze of air swept across the little pathway between the different buildings on campus. As Haerim walked across the street to get to the little corner store that students like her frequented between breaks, she pulled the knitted scarf tighter around her neck. Usually, she didn’t have problems with colder weather because she preferred cold over heat, but she didn’t like winter for the memories it had always brought back.
She tried her best to shield her eyes from the snowy raindrops that welcomed students after the class, putting the hood of her coat above her head as extra protection. She walked swiftly yet carefully, planning to grab some lunch in the store before heading back to another class of hers under 20 minutes.
She let out a sigh in relief when she stepped over the threshold of the little store, thankful for the friendlier climate that welcomed her inside. As it wasn’t her first time there, she knew where to go and how to get there; she headed to the bakery section she had always gone to, searching for her favourite sandwich, only to find out that they had already been out of stock. With a slight disapproving flinch, she started looking for other options, her original plan thrown out of the window. She liked plans, she liked sticking to them, so having to change her plans didn’t exactly make her happy.
After she had grabbed an egg sandwich from the shelf, the guy beside her almost bumped into her when she turned around, and exchanging a glance, it was her automatic response to bow and say sorry. The guy did the same, but his eyes widened in the next minute.
“Oh my gosh! Haerim, hi! It’s been so long! How are you?” he asked joyfully, sandwiches long forgotten.
It took Haerim a moment to put the sight in front of her together with a familiar face from the past: Kang Yuchan. They had gone to the same middle school before she had gone to a different high school than the one that would have been the continuation of her middle school studies under the same institute, just the high school level of it. He had been the jokester of the class, knowing everyone and trying to befriend everyone. He hadn’t been a particularly smart student, but even teachers had liked him for his wits, so he had usually managed to avoid being reprimanded.
There was one more thing though that Kang Yuchan had been memorable for her: he had audibly told her that he had had a crush on her, and he had acted accordingly, gifting her with gifts sometimes and taking a seat beside her during lunches. The only problem had been that despite the fact that Yuchan had always been a good guy, Haerim couldn’t have reciprocated his feelings. She hadn’t even learned how to love herself back then, so how could she have loved someone else?
“I’m good. How are you?” She quirked an eyebrow in question after she had managed to pull herself back together. All those flashbacks came crashing down like waves, and the same old suffocating feeling was about to overcome her before she could snap herself back to the present, the reality.
“Uni’s been kicking my butt, but I guess that’s what I get for going to my friends’ band’s concerts instead of studying at a normal, humane time,” Yuchan blabbered, excited as always. Despite the matured features of his, the lack of braces, the contact lenses instead of the rounded glasses and the slightly longer curls, he had the same boyish smile, the same exaggerated way of speaking, and the same deep laughter. It’s like time had stopped, except for his appearance.
“Are you in university, too, right? Which major?” Yuchan continued speaking, his eyes widening in curiosity.
“Yeah, I’m studying Psychology.”
“Oh, sounds interesting! I’ve thought you would go for sciences. You were really good at them,” he recalled with a slight pout, scratching the back of his neck as if he had been trying to remember if she had had anything to do with Psychology back then. He wouldn’t find anything anyways, so she decided to save him.
“I guess I was.” She shrugged her shoulders with a slightly forced smile, trying to avert the topic, but Yuchan - like the overexcited boy he was - didn’t seem to notice her slight discomfort, and decided to push forward.
“Are you kidding me?” he exclaimed, earning a glance from a grumpy guy who was passing them by. She shot the stranger an apologetic smile, not like it would have mattered anyway. “You were the top of the class in Biology, Science, Physics, Maths and even languages. I’ve never met anyone who was more hard-working than you,” he remarked in awe, and despite his words indicating his respect towards her, she felt small and vulnerable instead. Just like back then. It was the same: he still didn’t see anything - didn’t see behind the interior.
She bobbed her head, signalling that she got his point, but she wished nothing but to leave as soon as possible. Looking down at her watch, she had to realise that it was actually better if she put an end to this conversation if she didn’t want to miss the beginning of her next class.
“Well, I have to go now. One of my classes starts soon,” she explained as she pointed at the cash desk, putting one of her legs in front of the other.
“Wait! You study here?” Yuchan realised a bit belatedly, though it shouldn’t have been that surprising. Their university was the home of a handful of majors with thousands of students, a lot even in one year, so she merely nodded, letting him realise that they indeed studied under the same university.
“Me too,” he pointed out the obvious with a wide grin, but seeing her awkward smile, her previous words finally kicked in. “Yeah, sure, go and pay, but I’ll contact you somehow, okay? We can catch up sometime,” he suggested gleefully, stepping aside, so that she could walk past him.
Haerim nodded, not quite looking forward to that catch up, but she wouldn’t want to voice it out, merely hoping that Yuchan would forget about this encounter as soon as possible. With that thought in mind, she left the shop as quietly as she had come in, the chilly weather welcoming her with open arms and the bittersweet memories of the past.
It turned out that Yuchan didn’t forget about meeting her. He found her on a social media site later that week, messaging her with a few questions and asking when she would be able to meet up to talk in person.
Haerim didn’t really feel like talking to him even though she knew he hadn’t been the one at fault for what had happened back then, and it hadn’t been his fault that he hadn’t seen what had been going on. After all, she herself hadn’t known what she had experienced. It had been as if she had been living underwater, and she hadn’t realised that she had been suffocating until she had managed to reach the surface level, finally taking in a deep breath after holding in her breath for so long.
It was just that… he reminded her so much of what she had tried to leave behind, and she was doing so well, she was living her life so freely, and meeting him after four years felt like suddenly getting rid of that plaster that she had oh so carefully put on her scars. Maybe she wasn’t bleeding like the first time, but she felt the pain. Even if she had gotten so used to numbing it, it was back yet again, and it was still hurting.
It wasn’t until she had come across a little post-it note from him when she was rummaging through her old stuff to re-organise her shelves that she decided to give him an answer for meeting up. The note read in the boy’s ever so messy handwriting:
“Good luck on your studies, Haerim! Hope you won’t forget us! Be happy, always!”
After that, they decided on meeting at a café around campus, and if not for the conversation that followed, she surely looked forward to stepping inside the cosy little café for a warm drink because it was freezing cold outside.
One thing she expected was for Yuchan to be late, and indeed, he let her know that he was on his way from a lecture hall, but he would be a bit late, so she sent him a reassuring reply, telling him to take his time (because knowing the boy, he could break a leg or two while trying to get from one place to another), she would wait at a table in the corner. While waiting, she ordered herself a mug of hot chocolate which came just in time with the boy’s arrival. He swiftly asked for a latte, plumping himself down with a huff.
He ruffled his hair, a few snowflakes falling off his chocolate-brown locks in the meantime, his hair sitting messily atop of his head. Despite the state he was in, he wore the biggest, brightest smile, his cheeks exploding as his lips raised upwards.
“It’s so good to see you again,” he started giddily, rubbing his hands together probably due to the cold. As expected, he didn’t wear gloves or even a beanie, a habit of his that she still remembered from their middle school years. Whenever it was cold, he was always missing either his gloves or a scarf or a beanie or really, a combination of the three. He was so forgetful, thus it was extra heartwarming when he remembered bits about her life and habits.
“You too,” she replied, a bit more loosen up than last time. His carefree attitude and the fact that now she was prepared to meet him again helped to put her mind at ease.
“Sorry for being late. I was just caught up talking to one of my friends about the test we have written,” he clarified enthusiastically, his cheeks deepening as he went on.
“How did it go?”
“Ah, not too good,” he replied with a pseudo-awkward laughter, ruffling his hair yet again. His laughter was still the same, she noted. No matter the darkness around her, it had always reminded her of the fresh breath of air that she could breathe in whenever she could head back from school, from the hell it had been. “But anyways, let’s not talk about it! I have better stories to tell.”
And so he kept talking and talking, asking her to tell more about herself in the meantime, and the past feelings of ease and serenity whenever she had been around him came back. She had always known how different he had been; how loud, how energetic, how carefree he had seemed, and if there had been someone who would have been the epitome of an energy ball, it would have been him. That difference didn’t frighten her or made her gloomy this time, it was that difference that made her smile now. He surely didn’t change, and in a world that was constantly changing, and with her thriving for change ever since she had been a kid, it wasn’t that bad to see something that was static.
Drinks long forgotten, the only indicator of the passing time was the sudden brightness that filled the cosy little place as the waiters switched on the lights.
“Are you… really okay?” Yuchan inquired after clearing his throat, his eyes boring into hers. He seemed really concerned in that moment, and Haerim had no idea why he was acting like that so suddenly, their last topic being an incident of him getting on the wrong bus on his first day at SNU, missing his first class terribly.
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?” She squinted, raising an eyebrow in question. There was something unsettling about the gaze he gave her; as if he would have been cautious to elaborate, but he was never one who thought twice before speaking up.
“It’s just that I met our Biology teacher from middle school a few months ago, and she asked me about you,” he started, fidgeting with the ends of his coat. Something that was suspiciously odd when it came to someone who was as bubbly as him. “And I guess it was supposed to be a secret that you went on to a different high school because you were bullied by Eunbyeol and her friends, but Miss Kim kind of told me about it, and I was so struck. Like, I was around you so many times, and I’ve really thought that you were doing fine, just a bit shy. I wish I could have seen something, anything! But I was even ill when you had that incident that made you turn to our homeroom teacher. I’ve never really liked her, but knowing that she said that it was such childish behaviour, nothing more…” he rambled on and on, his words dripping empathy, guilt and even fear.
Haerim sucked in a deep breath, then let it out in a long sigh. She tried to concentrate on the steady beating of her heart to calm herself down; dum... dum... dum... dum. It was in the past after all: the shadows, the memories, that classroom, her reflection in the mirror of the girls’ bathroom, tears streaming down her face. The shame, the feeling of abandonment, the look on her parents’ face. It was in the past, but still, she felt as if it had been just yesterday, and the incident was haunting her, hovering over her even if she thought she was over it. How could she? Everything she had thought and felt towards her own family and herself had turned completely upside down back then.
“I’m sorry, I should have seen the signs. I messed up,” Yuchan apologised after taking her silence as a bad sign, and seeing how he bit his lip, she felt the need to go against his words.
“And I was messed up, so what’s the difference?”
“No, no, you weren’t! Not at all. They probably just wanted to make you feel that way, but it wasn’t your fault,” he objected fervently, but there was a gentle edge to his words. The way his pitch-black eyes shone oh so fondly triggered an unusually emotional rush of adrenaline going through her body. It wasn’t your fault. Oh, how she wished anyone would have told the teenager Haerim the same! She had been merely tossed to the side, blamed for everything, called a liar, and abandoned. Sometimes actions were weapons, but sometimes words were bombs.
There was a moment of silence when she attempted to avoid his eyes, trying to put herself back together, and then he spoke up in a gentle, quiet voice:
“Why didn’t you tell someone else?” He looked up at her, the sea of his pitch-black eyes beckoning her to open up, to speak up because he would listen. Suddenly, he seemed so much more mature and defined than the once very much childish and irresponsible boy. Back then, she had brushed off his questions because she hadn’t thought that he would care or understand, but now, looking at him, she knew that he meant the best.
It wasn’t your fault.
“Because not even my own mother believed me. How was I supposed to know that I should have pushed this further? My friends betrayed me, the homeroom teacher and my parents didn’t believe me, and we were already close to the high school application period, so I just accepted it,” she explained dryly, her voice lacking any kind of hurt. Why? Because she was so afraid that if she were to show that she was any more vulnerable other than to say it out loud, she would crumble, and she wasn’t ready to take that fall.
So she masked her deepest hurt, the one that had been accompanying her ever since the bullying had come to light, and her parents had voiced out that they hadn’t believed her. That had been the first time in her life that she had doubted her own parents’ trust and love for her. Before, she would have never even dared to question her parents’ affection. After all, they had been the so-called perfect family with parents always showing up at parent-teacher meetings, her and her little sister studying and behaving well, entering competitions, and it had seemed that the children had been given everything: support, love, care and money.
She had also made her believe that; she had thought that if she had just kept on trying to get good grades and to avoid talking back to her parents, she would have been rewarded with the same kind of attention and love than her little sister. She had tried so hard, maybe even too hard at times, and she would have never said that she had had anything less than a perfect family because she had been afraid that if she had done so, she would have been even further from that fantasy that she had been chasing.
Because it had been all just a fantasy, an illusion at its finest, a sick little show that she had been a part of. She had gotten so good at playing the good little girl role that when no one had been there to congratulate her on her acting when she had been vulnerable and fragile for the first time, she had crumbled down.
“Not even your own parents believed you? Gosh, that’s terrible!” Yuchan raised his voice, his fury obvious in the way he pursed his lips. No more cheeky smiles, no more dimpled smiles. “Why didn’t your parents take this seriously though? Are they blind or something?”
Haerim knew that there was no use of denying. Even back then and now, Yuchan didn’t want anything bad for her. In fact, he was the first one to actually believe her since that accident, so it meant a lot to her that he was willing to listen. It was just so damn difficult to explain this, to bring back something that she had thought that she had been able to bury with the old Haerim. Those feelings, those memories, those scars should have been dead alongside the bullied side of hers.
“You know what? You don’t have to tell me. I’ve already asked a lot. It’s personal to you, and I don’t want to see you in pain. Just know that I’m willing to listen. Okay?” Yuchan offered hastily, his eyes darting between the different parts of the room to avoid looking at her. He was seemingly uncomfortable, a bit edgy as well, so she came to the conclusion that it was the best if they left the topic at that for now. She wasn’t ready to talk about it, and he felt bad for asking.
So she cleared her throat and diverted the topic to something else, slowly watching as the boy’s face became painted with more and more colours again, the remains of the previous serene expressions gone alongside the passing minutes, reminding them of the time and the fact that it was already getting dark outside. She was glad that they could end this conversation on a joyful note, but she didn’t fail to say this as they bid their goodbyes:
“Thank you, Yuchan,” she remarked sincerely, and the bittersweet smile she was gifted was worth more than any diamond in the world. Because it was genuine, because it was caring, and because it made her realise that there was someone who finally, finally believed her.
The boy merely nodded afterwards before playfully reminding her to reply to his messages, then he bolted off in the metro station’s direction, and she walked to the nearest bus station, her steps lighter than for a long time.
Haerim did reply to his messages with a lighter heart this time, and she found herself looking forward to his messages even if it was just about him talking about how he had spent an entire hour in the wrong lecture hall, listening to the wrong topic, or how he had managed to oversleep his morning alarm, waking up only by midday. Yuchan had always been the type of person to whom everything just happens, and it was almost heartwarming how things hadn’t seemed to change so much when it came to him.
However, there was one thing that was bothering her, and it was the fact whether he kept on talking to her because he wanted to make sure that she was really doing okay - or maybe even pitying her. She didn’t like jumping to conclusions, but he had come back into her life so abruptly, yet he had stayed in her life ever since, and she didn’t know what to do with it.
So she decided to ask about it the next time they met face-to-face, and even though it could be seen by the way Yuchan’s lips wavered that he hadn’t expected such a question, he also shook his head fervently.
“No, not at all. Why would I be pitying you? I trust that you tell me the truth, and you’ve said that you’re doing okay now, so it’s not why I want to spend time with you,” he explained very much confidently, but a spark of doubt was lit in his pitch-black eyes, almost like a shooting star on the sky. “Do I make you feel uncomfortable? Don’t you want to spend time with me?”
He pressed his lips into a thin line as the questions rolled off his tongue, and the serenity in his features almost scared her. It was such a different, unknown side of him that she was taken aback by the sudden change in his behaviour. On the other hand, she was almost thankful. He was more understanding than anyone she had ever met, gentle care radiating in every single one of his words and acts.
“No, that’s not about it. I feel comfortable around you, I really do.” She nodded to prove her point, searching for any kind of confirmation in his eyes that he believed her, and she was about to continue when his lips slowly blossomed into a smile, the kind that adds colours to an empty canvas.
“I’m glad then.”
Yuchan seemed almost bashful by this point, his ears turning burgundy. He ran his hands through his chocolate-brown locks swiftly, taking a huge sip from his hot chocolate, but almost choking on it. She immediately tried to assist him, but he seemed to get over it before she could walk up to him or order a glass of water.
“It’s okay, it happens all the time,” he remarked with a giggle, holding up his hands as if he was trying to wave away every single one of her worries regarding the situation.
“You haven’t changed a bit, have you? It seems like you always get yourself into such situations,” Haerim pointed it out with an almost nostalgic smile, thinking back to that boy with the widest smile, the biggest energy and the cutest rounded glasses.
Even though she was never fond of her middle school years for apparent reasons, Yuchan had always lived in her memory as the sunshine after the rainstorm. There had been just something about him, about that eccentric side of him, about those joyous glints in his galaxy-like orbs, about that happiness-inducing laughter of his that had made it impossible not to remember him as someone positive.
“At least, I can make you smile,” Yuchan mentioned with a gentle smile. “I mean, not now, of course, not when I’ve worried you,” he corrected himself with a semi-awkward laugh, and she couldn’t help but laugh along with him. He really had that homey feel to him; that cosy, warm feeling that you get when you walk inside a room with the heaters on after walking through the city on a chilly winter day. “But you know, in general,” he added, and she silently nodded to his words, no need to deny the smile that was playing along her lips.
They exchanged a glance, and Haerim felt the rush of warmth radiated by him going through her body. It was easy to be drawn to him because he was so bright and so full of life, and maybe, she doubted why he had continued to talk to her because she knew that she wasn’t as radiant as him. Yet, the way he looked at her now stomped on her worries, calming her thoughts.
“Oh, right! I have a place I want to show you!” Yuchan suddenly mentioned, letting the previous severe moment fall into a more casual one. She quirked an eyebrow in question, curious.
“Oh, okay. Do you want to go today?”
“Yeah, I mean, we can go if you don’t mind. It’s not far from here,” he replied with a bright, expectant smile playing along the edges of his lips. He was a bit uncertain - both his body language and the slight crack of his voice were indicators of that -, and she wondered what was the reason behind it; could it have been that he assumed that she was just like how she had been when she had turned down his suggestions to hang out when they had been middle schoolers? Or could it be because he could see the change in her personality, the change in the way she acted towards her, yet he still couldn’t pinpoint what she would say?
The truth is, she wasn’t one to say yes to such invitations, but the truth is, it had been a long time since someone had even mentioned something like this. She had always been more of the loner type, and ever since the bullying incidents, she had found it more difficult to make friends and trust others. She might have gotten over the trauma, but she still couldn’t help wondering about others’ perception of her.
On the other hand, she knew him, she knew his past, and he knew her past as well, yet he was still here, his legs shaking a bit under the table, his eyes curiously looking into hers, and he was the one to suggest showing her a place. She might not fall this time, but if she did, she trusted him that he would catch her.
“Sure, we can go,” Haerim gave in, her lips raised upwards.
“For real?”
“Yeah, for real,” she repeated, warmth spreading in her heart seeing the boy’s incredibly wide smile, one that was so like him, one that was only his, and despite her not having any particular adjectives about it in the past, she could definitely see just how beautiful of a smile it was.
After they finished their drinks, they headed outside and Yuchan showed her the way to the place he had in mind; it took them around 20 minutes to get there with the metro, and even though it was really not far, Haerim had never been in the neighbourhood before. The boy walked confidently, casually telling her stories on the way, and once they reached a little secluded area which was on the edge of this part of the city - which was on the top of a hill that was built with houses all around -, she knew that they arrived without him telling her beforehand.
There were a few benches around, a boy occupying one of it as he was towering over his sketchbook, drawing absentmindedly, but what was the most eye catching was the scenery; from up here, the city could be seen a bit better, it was as if they could look above what was happening. Everything seemed a bit more clear, they didn’t feel so small and insignificant. City lights flashed in front of their eyes, cars honking and the buzzing sounds of the busy streets seemed distant from up here, and the whole sight seemed like an oddly shaped jigsaw made up of all kinds of colours and shapes.
Yuchan was quiet for a few seconds, and maybe it was his silence or the whole atmosphere with the pretty scenery and the slight breeze playing with her locks, but she found herself speaking up:
“I have a little sister, and around the time the bullying escalated, she got surgery, and she kind of got the spotlight for that. It wasn’t a life-threatening issue, she’s on meds now, so she’s fine. I would have been fine with it too because I knew how scared she was, but when I decided to speak up about what happened to me, my parents told me that it’s not that big of a deal. Then, when Eunbyeol’s parents contacted my own parents, they said that I should have behaved better, that I shouldn’t have caused them more trouble when my sister was sick,” she confessed, the bitterness biting into her tongue.
She gulped as she averted her eyes from the scenery to the boy’s face, but all she could see was empathy and care. He believed her, he wanted to listen to her, and he saw her - getting through all the layers, with all the masks forgotten, in all the colours from black to white. That’s what prompted her to explain in detail what had happened. How Eunbyeol and Haerim had been friends until Eunbyeol had started bullying her, making her run errands and making fun of her, and how even her best friend at that time had lied to Haerim’s parents because Eunbyeol had persuaded her that she would have been better without a girl like Haerim. Obviously, Eunbyeol had been pretty, wealthy and popular, and all Haerim could have been known for had been her intelligence, nothing more. It had been almost easy to get the other girl on her side, especially because Haerim hadn’t wanted to put up with the bullying.
It had all become too much when Eunbyeol and another girl had poured water onto her chair one day, and since Haerim couldn’t have seen it because of its transparent colour, she had sat right into it - in her blue jeans, the water soaking the material until her thighs. When she had turned her head towards the two girls, asking if they had done it, they had merely laughed at her, then continued laughing at her as she had grabbed her PE sweatpants and ran to the girls’ bathroom, mocking her for the sight. Teachers and students had turned their heads towards her, thinking that her jeans looked like that for another reason, but she couldn’t have cared less. She had been crying in the girls’ bathroom as she had changed into the pants, and since it had been winter and by the end of the day, she had needed to go back home in her sweatpants, freezing as she had walked all the way home.
She had told her mother about it right that day, and that’s when her mother had told her that it hadn’t been a big problem, she should have just put up with it. But the truth is, it had been just the tip of the iceberg, the humiliation and the mockery that had led up to it had been even worse, but of course, if something physical hadn’t been enough for her mother, then something emotional could have ever been enough? She had never been enough of a reason for her parents to worry about her, not when she hadn’t been the favourite child, not when even her best friend had turned against her.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. You must have felt like no one was on your side,” Yuchan said in awe, shocked and worried at the same time. Haerim shook her head, it hadn’t been his fault that he hadn’t been there when the water incident had happened, and that he hadn’t seen what had been going on. Eunbyeol and her friends had been sneaky enough not to act up when teachers or the whole class had been around, except that day. Still, it hadn’t been enough even for the homeroom teacher to do anything. To - at least - take it seriously.
“It’s okay now. The memories and the feelings lingered on, and I’ve eventually started to receive counselling when I got more and more panic attacks in high school, and although my parents still never took this issue seriously, I’ve learned how to deal with it,” Haerim remarked with a bittersweet smile, glad that she had realised that sometimes you can’t rely on the people you wish to rely on.
It seemed like Yuchan was so struck that he didn’t even have the right words to say, his lips were quivering but not moving otherwise. Haerim let him process what he had heard, not wanting to force him to remark anything, letting him put together the pieces of the past. Yes, she had been shy, but not solely because of her personality. She had been closed-off because of the constant mistreatment and bullying, always just putting up with it until she couldn’t have taken it anymore. She wouldn’t blame him though; she had mastered how to act like everything had been fine.
“Wow, you are so strong!” Yuchan concluded genuinely, yet she felt her smile dropping, sentimentalism rushing through her body. Sometimes only a few words were able to trigger her knees to go weak, but when he looked at her like that with that amount of empathy and appreciation in his eyes as he did, she really found it difficult not to let him in her heart. She might have been too broken back then to let anyone in, let alone a boy who had seemed too different from her, someone who had openly expressed his liking towards her when she hadn’t felt anything towards him. Yet, now, she wished nothing more than to keep his warmth close to her.
“What? Did I say something wrong?” The boy immediately picked up on the change in her expression, but she merely shook her head. If he had known just how right what he said was. The best thing he could have said.
“No one has ever told me this,” she reasoned, her voice cracking a bit by the emotions that were taking hold of her. Yuchan’s lips quivered yet again as he looked at her, and despite the initial hesitation in his movements, he stepped closer to her a few seconds later, wrapping his arms around her body, and Haerim didn’t even protest. She knew she was safe, she knew she was valued, and she knew that she was accepted. For who she was and for who she had been. She wasn’t afraid to face that, to face him, not anymore.
Because we can only let the light in when we dare to open the curtains, and we can only see the stars when it’s dark; light isn’t light without darkness being around.

The day had seemed normal enough when she first woke up. There was birds chirping and there was sunlight pooling in through the cracks in her blinds. Nothing she had done that morning seemed to be out of the ordinary, nor did her commute to work; people had crossed roads as carelessly as normal and they also had the same lack of self awareness as normal.
Really, if you have asked her that morning if anything had seemed odd, she would have responded with a bark of laughter and walked away with a shake of her head and a mutter claiming you were crazy.
However, as soon as she had stepped into the building, she found feel that something was off - more so than usual with an office building.
Everyone was quiet, eyeing each other with suspicion and slight judgment, their lips pulled into eerily similar straight lines.
Sitting down, the office chair squeaking under her weight, she swivelled around to face her desk mate: Changseok.
“Hey,” She whispered, though not really making any special effort to keep quiet, “what’s everyone acting so weird for?“
Changseok looked over at her, his brown eyes rolling in his skull to look at her blankly. Lips slowly forming a pout, he chewed on the inside of his cheek, shrugging. "Haven’t you heard?” He spoke cryptically and she had half a mind to give up there and then. The last thing she wanted to be doing so early in the morning was play 21 questions.
“No,” came her blunt response and he leant in, as though he was going to tell her the secret of the century. His eyebrows furrowed, voice even quieter than before, making her strain to hear it.
“There’s a hybrid here now,” He stressed the noun and she blinked, completely blind sighted. However, it wasn’t because of the revelation of the person’s species, but rather his attitude towards them and the way he was saying ‘hybrid’ like it was something dirty.
Closing her eyes for a few seconds to make sure she didn’t lose her temper, she exhaled - sound almost dulcet had it not been for the glare that pierced through him straight after. “Okay. Is that it?”
Changseok looked confused by her lack of reaction, repeating the word again, assuming that she hadn’t heard him.
“I heard you the first time. I was just wondering why it was such a big deal,” he moved back to his own space and she thanked every god she could think of. “They’re a hybrid. So what?”
His frown deepened and she could sense how she was going to have to contain an eye roll. It was always nice to find out someone you worked with was a piece of shit.
“It’s unnatural. They were made in labs so it’s not like they’re actually human,” she stayed silent, strong at him with an expression so cold that she almost wished he froze in front of her face. Upon her lack of a comment, he hurried to try and explain himself - not that he really cared to hear his opinion. “Don’t you think? They’re literally part animal, they’re freaks.”
With a lift of her eyebrows, she turned back to her work and shook her head. “Damn, I’ve always disliked you, but I guess now I have a concrete reason other than your simple idiocy. Never speak to me again.”
Changseok’s mouth opened (more than likely in a weak attempt to defend himself) however, she promptly ignored him and got up, shooting him one last withering look before walking away and to the ground floor of the building to the café.
While she was there, she decided that it would be nice to get to know this new coworker - there was always room in her life for being polite even if there wasn’t much of a chance for it with the people she was around. The intermingling scents of coffee and baked goods lightened her foul mood considerably, eyes grazing over the pastries before deciding that she didn’t want any today.
Purchasing a cup of coffee and of sweetened tea, she headed back up and began to ask around for the coworker. Everyone she asked gave her an odd look: some of them because she was asking about someone new when she had never cared before, and others because they were a hybrid. Nonetheless, she found out their location and the fact that they were a male.
Eventually she did manage to find him, situated at the further end of the floor with his head down and a hunched back. It wasn’t hard to deduce why, feeling the lingering stares burning into her own back as she walked towards him.
“Hi,” she greeted, feeling slightly bad when he jumped in surprise, “I’m (y/n). It’s nice to meet you,” pulling up a chair, his expression morphed almost comically.
He was good looking, she was willing to admit wholeheartedly, with his wide, rounded eyes and softly pursed lips that was complimented nicely by his sharp nose and silky looking brown hair. She was sure that if he wasn’t a hybrid, most people would have the opposite of an aversion towards him.
His swallow was thick, adam’s apple bobbing with the force of it, his slight body shaky and hands trembling - he seemed more like a newborn child than a fully grown adult. “I’m Yuchan,” he introduced finally, shocking her with how his voice had remained stable. “It’s nice to meet you too.”
The smile that spread across her lips was serenity in its truest form, a feeling of peace washed over her as she moved one sheathed cup towards him.
“Do you prefer tea or coffee, Yuchan?” His name tasted foreign on her tongue, yet it was light and airy. She could find comfort in saying his name, it seemed. “I didn’t know which one, so you can pick whichever.”
“You didn’t have to,” he lamented, the slightest shade of pink tinged his cheeks a subtle rose.
“I wanted to,” Yuchan’s eyes flickered between the two cups before slowly reaching out to take the one labelled coffee, “good choice.”
“Thank you,” His smile was beautiful and she thought that the gentle simper was much more fitting for his countenance than timidness. “You really didn’t have to.”
She could have echoed her earlier words, told him that it didn’t matter, however, all she could think to do was watch him. It was entrancing really how graceful he was, every movement of his fluid and poised. If she had been ignorant, she would have asked why he was wasting his time in a shitty office job when he was much more talented in other things.
Instead, she nodded and sipped her own tea before speaking again. “How are you settling in?” It must not have been easy, especially with the blatantly rude behaviour of the other staff as well as tensions across the country from the new laws.
He shrugged, licking his slightly chapped lips. “I’m doing okay. It’s nice here.”
‘If it’s nice here, what’s horrible?’ She thought, almost looking at him funny. “Do you need any help with anything? I can help you with whatever.”
Yuchan shook his head, nails tapping against the cardboard sleeve around the coffee cup. “Junhee-hyung helped set me set up and taught me how to use everything.”
“You know the boss?” His expression quickly turned worried, more than likely thinking he overstepped a boundary, nonetheless she was faster to speak, “that’s good. It’s nice to have connections in places like this. Junhee is a nice man, I like him.”
His visage melted into one of a relief, chewing the inside of his cheek slowly. “Yeah, Hyung’s really nice and helpful. I’m happy I got a job with him as my boss.”
There was another silence that fell, this time a lot more comfortable than the first. Soft sounds of the clock ticking made her glance down at her watch, realising with great irritation that she needed to start doing work or face getting scolded by the supervisor. “I have to head back to my own desk now, but if you ever need anything, feel free to shout for me.”
Getting out of the seat and putting it away, he waved her off and she felt immediately more energised; enough so that anyone she caught who dared look at Yuchan with even a glimmer of disgust was shot down with a scowl and a silent dare to carry on further.
Maybe having a new, less annoying coworker would finally make her feel excited to come to work.

The next day, she had decided that walking to work would be a lot less stressful and more cleansing to the soul. (It also meant that she wouldn’t have to pay the parking fee but that was only really a bonus.)Walking also meant that she could now head into her favourite bakery - one she hadn’t managed to go into a for a long while due to simply being busy and overrun with work.
A gentle jingling from above her head signalled her entrance, the pretty cashier behind the till giving her a smile and a nod of acknowledgment. The familiar scent of honey and cinnamon was comforting, enveloping her in warmth and lightening the burden in her chest. Honestly, if she could afford to do something, she would have bought out everything in the quaint and idyllic shop.
Browsing through the pastries put into baskets and the cakes hidden behind glass, she decided on buying a favourite that always held up to the test of time; chocolate chip cookies. Theirs were always soft and melted in the middle, with chocolate always lingering on the back of your palette for a long while after being consumed. Maybe she was being dramatic, but she considered it a slice of heaven amongst her life of abject sin.
Thankfully, as they had just opened, there was an abundance of sweet treats and she took great pleasure in filling up a paper bag with 6 of them. However, just as she was about to pay, she remembered Yuchan and figured she may as well get him some too.
Grabbing another bag and three more cookies, she paid swiftly with an expression of gratitude before returning to her trek to the cursed building she was set to be in - which only took her around another 5 minutes.
It was nice to see that even though Changseok was there, he made no move to speak her like normal. 'Good,’ she mused as he avoided eye contact, 'I guess he got the message.’ It was no loss on her end, in fact, she classified it as a win.
There was a lot less under breath murmurs today, with people only glancing at Yuchan from the corner of their eyes instead of staring at him like a circus attraction. It wasn’t ideal, though it certainly was an improvement.
“Hi again,” she spoke softly, not wanting to scare him like yesterday.
Looking up from the computer screen, wide eyes met hers, softening into crescent moons. “Hi, how are you?”
“I’m good,” she held up the bag of cookies ad shook them with a pleased grin, “the bakery had my favourite cookies. I thought you would like some. They’re really good,” She put the bag beside his hand.
Thumb grazing over the paper bag, his hues roamed over the delicious looking cookies within and his smile widened considerably. “Thank you so much.”
“It’s alright, you don’t have to thank me,” she sat in the empty chair beside him, spinning on it gently by using her feet. “How is it going today? Everything’s okay?”
“Mhm. I haven’t had any issues, I actually just started on a new project,” he found conversation coming easily despite his nervousness. Who wouldn’t be nervous when a pretty girl with a notorious streak for being blunt was speaking to you?
“Really?” She questioned genuinely interested, “what’s it on?” The company they worked for mainly dealt with collaborating with fashion brands and shipping so anything new was always welcomed.
“Well uh, Hyung asked me if I could help to design a website for one of our new shareholders,” He fiddled with the paper bag, the soft crinkling providing a background noise, “I’m not too sure about where to start if I’m honest.”
“Oh,” She leant closer to look at what he already had, the landing page currently being edited, “do you have a basic template?"
"Not really, they only gave us a small brief to work from. They said 'make it look like h&m’, which is helpful,” The soft giggle that left her mouth made him pause, fingers stilling in their fidgeting.
“Clients like that are the worst,” Nodding in agreement, he saw her mouth open to say something more before she also stilled.
Her eyes closely followed a figure with red hair as she slowly got up, shoving the seat under the chair. “If Kihyun sees me here he’s going to grill me, I’ll see you later, Yuchan,” before he could even say bye, she was already up and running - leaving him alone with his cookies.
His mouth was left wide open, watching her rush away like a thief about to be caught. A few moments later, the head of red hair was in his vision, the man’s smiling face soon following as he greeted Yuchan.
“Morning,” Kihyun spoke, following his gaze and spotting her sitting down in her chair and then looking at his own out of place one. “She was just here, wasn’t she?”
Yuchan pursed his lips, not wanting to speak up in case she got into trouble; she was one of the only ones that made an effort to check up on him after all. Kihyun seemed to notice this and laughed, patting his thigh reassuringly.
“It’s okay, she won’t get into trouble. I like her so I wouldn’t say anything, we just like to bicker,” Yuchan’s ears perked. He had noticed how people seemed to shrink away whenever she walked by, almost as if they were avoiding her gaze and he never quite understood why. She was always kind to him.
“Who is she?” He couldn’t help but ask, clamping his mouth shut a second later as he realised he might have overstepped a boundary. “Um I- i mean, I know her name but-”
“She’s one of the best IT techs we have. She likes to keep to herself and she’s got an attitude if you piss her off, and considering the assholes we work with, I don’t blame her. If you’re nice to her or joke with her, she’ll return it. You don’t have to worry about it, Yuchan, she seems fond of you,” He flushed upon hearing the pride, cheeks dusting the faintest shade of pink as he nodded and put up head down.
Out of the corner of his eye, he could make out Kihyun shaking his head and grinning to himself at his bashfulness. Nonetheless, he didn’t notice it too much, lost in his own thoughts. She was fond of him? He mused, absentmindedly click on the screen.
A small smile made its home on his face, plush lips stretching into a subtle upwards curve.
Yuchan found he rather liked the idea of her liking him.
Tumblr media
With every day that passed, he found himself looking forward to her daily check ins. Her smile was pretty and her aura was comforting, like a cup of warm coffee that warmed you from the inside out on cold, frigid days.
He had been looking around the shops one day, spending his free time poking around instead of being cooped up in his room (and being scolded by his roommate as well as his mother likewise for being antisocial and a neet). The days were turning colder, frostier. With every breath he took he could see his own contribution to the looming clouds above.
As he walked around, eagle eyed for anything that might have caught his interest (i.e anything shiny) he weaved through the aisles of the old antique shop he had wandered into. The store had the smell of old wood and of slight citrus, a scent that shouldn’t have gone together but it did so beautifully.
Yuchan hadn’t really been looking to buy anything however, as soon as he has spotted something glinting dutifully under the golden lighting, he had to have a look. Pushing aside the objects in front of it, he grinned broadly to see a beautiful bejewelled keychain.
It was in the shape of a bird: a peacock if he was recalling correctly. Azure and emerald gems decorated the body of the beard, the eyes of its feathers painstakingly done with brown and yellow.
Of course he was a sucker for anything cute and sparkly, hence his lack of self restraint as he picked up the keychain, cradling it gently in his hands. It shone with every turn of the head, the black stones used for the bird’s eyes almost lifelike. Though at least he had on justification for this purchase; he was going to give it away.
Which is where he was currently, sitting in his office chair with a bouncing leg as he bit his lip nervously. She hadn’t come to him all day and he was growing worried that she was getting bored of it - he really hoped that it wasn’t the case.
Taking another glance over, he swallowed thickly and relaxed as he saw her hunched over her desk, typing furiously on her keyboard before pressing the enter button and glancing at her watch. The time seemed to make her happy as she immediately smiled to herself and shut off her computer, kicking up her bag and throwing it around her shoulders.
For a second he thought she was going to leave there and then, but they were soon proven wrong as she walked towards his direction, a bounce in her step.
“Hi Yuchan,” she greeted and he returned her jovial simper with a small wave. “What are you doing now?"
"I’m just finishing up the website. I just need to edit some banners and code and I’ve finished,” Her lips formed a soft 'o’ shape as she sat down beside him, stealing Kihyun’s chair once again. “What are you doing?"
Her fingers picked at her shirt sleeve as she rocked from side to side on the office chair. "I finished all my work for today. I’m thinking of leaving early, I just need to go to Junhee-ssi and tell him.”
Yuchan’s nervousness immediately skyrocketed and fingers tapped on the table, drumming on it lightly but still loud enough so that it drew her attention. “You okay? You seem anxious, your website is amazing, I promise.”
Finding her reassurance cute, he forced himself to stop messing around with any of his body parts and smiled at her instead. “Thank you. I’m just thinking about something. I appreciate it, I appreciate you,” he added the last part only in his head as he was too much of a coward to actually say them outloud - though judging by her broad and bright smile, she seemed to understand the worldless implications just fine.
A comfortable silence fell over them both, his shoulders slumping as he finally felt comfortable to relax. She slipped her bag off her shoulders and placed it in front of her, rummaging through it before producing a brown paper bag. “I went to the bakery this morning. I saw they had some brownies today and I thought you would like them.”
“You don’t have to always get me something,” She waved off his concerns and he felt his heart flutter in his chest - his cheeks immediately tinging a subtle shade of rose despite himself. “I’m okay with just you."
"Oh, you’re so adorable, Channie,” She spoke smoothly, like she hadn’t noticed that cute nickname leave her mouth and fluster him beyond belief, “I want to get them for you. Nothing more, nothing less.”
Glancing again at her watch, her lips pursed and she stood up. “I should get going now. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
His mouth opened, hand lifting up to stop her before he let it fall back down to his desk, internally groaning at his cowardice. Instead of getting up and giving the gift to her, he watched her disappear down the stairs, not to be seen until tomorrow.
'Damn it,’ he looked at his bag, deciding to do the next best thing - leave it on her desk. Opening up his bag, he took out the small wrapped box that he had painstakingly covered with sparkly gift wrap. A red glitter box was on top, his reflection staring back at him hundreds of times as he stared hard at it.
Getting up, he clutched the box tightly in his hands and walked towards her desk, thankful that people had (mostly) given up on staring at him whenever he passed by. As he approached her workspace, Yuchan fell a glare burning into his skin, his saliva thick as he swallowed. He knew quite clearly that it was coming from her seatmate.
Ignoring it to the best of his abilities, he opened the first drawer to her desk and placed it gently within, giving it a soft pat of reassurance before closing the drawer again. Hopefully she would see it when she came back.
He straightened up, eyes meeting blank brown hues that seemed to see right into his soul, sending shivers down his spine. Barely managing a smile, he rushed away when he saw Changseok’s scowl deepen. He wasn’t going to stay where he wasn’t wanted.
Despite this, his cheery mood couldn’t be dampened. He had accomplished his mission even with the few hiccups during the way and that was good enough for him.
Work tomorrow suddenly didn’t seem so bad.
Tumblr media
His leg was bouncing again today, though this time for a completely different reason than previously. Yuchan’s gaze was constantly on the door when it wasn’t focused on the screen in front of him. Right now, he couldn’t have cared less about working on a banner for another makeup company, his sole focus being on seeing her reaction to his gift.
After what felt like an eternity, she finally appeared through the door and his heart felt like it was going to beat straight out of his sternum. Chewing nervously on his bottom lip, he was growing incredibly impatient - Yuchan had half a mind to go over there and open the drawer for her.
However, his waiting finally paid off when she did open the door, the soft furrow of her brows and pursing of her lips making him bite back a hearty grin. The red bow was removed, placed delicately on the desk as she slid her finger under the folds, pulling the wrapping paper away without ripping it. Then finally, she opened the lid and looked in, pulling out the glittering keychain with the biggest smile he had ever seen on her face.
To a couple of minutes she did nothing more than sit there and admire the gift, her finger tips smoothing over the gems and across the beautiful design of it. That was all he could ask for - to see her smile because of him. Though, it did present another problem for him; he could already feel his crush on her growing tenfold.
Turning back to his screen, he felt content. As long as she was happy, he was too. His pulse continued to race and thrum, his aura giddy and joy clear enough that even Kihyun gave him a sideways glance from his side.
“Yuchan!” His heart lurched again in his throat and he sat up straight, watching her come over with her hands covering something in her hand. “You won’t believe what someone gave me, it’s so beautiful.”
She pulled up a chair, stealing it from the row in front without a care and sat down, moving her hand to show him the peacock he had grown very familiar to.
“That is pretty,” he commented, trying to keep his cheeks from turning red and exposing him, “it would look nice on your bag.”
“You think so?” She asked, inspecting it, “I think it’s too nice for that. I might put it with my keys instead.” Pulling her keys from her pocket, he watched her clip it to them, the gems continuing in their glittering. He swore they were shining more in her presence. “I wonder who it was. They didn’t leave a name and I highly doubt it was Changseok.”
'Not with the dirty look he gave me,’ Yuchan thought though did not verbalise, instead only smiling and nodding. “They must like you. It suits you a lot.”
“Oh hush,” she placed a light finger against his lips, “I got you coffee, but I left it at my desk. One second,” she rushed away and he covered his face with his hands, running a hand through his hair.
The steaming drink was placed at his side, the chair squeaking as she sat back down. He could feel Kihyun’s amusement at his obvious predicament. 'Whatever,’ he huffed, 'let hyung laugh,’ and then he looked up at her again.
Her features were bright and they were beautiful, accentuated even more by the elation of the gift. Yuchan took one more look at her visage and knew he was smitten: or in other words, he had completely fucked himself over.
Tumblr media
It became almost a tradition, every Thursday he would leave a gift in her top drawer that she would come to find on Friday and guess about. It was the highlight of his entire week and Yuchan couldn’t have cared less about the looks Changseok gave him every time he came to drop one off.
She pushed open the door again, already excited for what she was going to get. The only thing she wasn’t fond of was the fact that she didn’t know who they were coming from and she couldn’t pay them back.
Sitting down in her desk, she started up her computer and opened the drawer, overjoyed to see a small rectangular box covered in the same sparkly wrapping paper the others had come in.
Pulling it out and closing the drawer with her knee, she was just about to unwrap it when she heard a voice speak beside her - one that she hadn’t heard for a while.
“You know it’s him, right?” She blinked, not expecting to hear Changseok speaking to her after weeks of God given silence.
“Pardon?”
“It’s him, that hybrid, he’s the only leaving you all this shit in your drawer,” He spat like he was disgusted to even think of it. Her blood boiled, anger swallowed down as she held the gift in her hands.
“What? Are you talking about Yuchan?"
"Yes, that disgusting hybrid. He’s been leaving shit for you every thursday,” Her eyes narrowed, beyond giving a fuck about his opinion and of the proper professional conduct.
“He’s better than you’ll ever be, you piece of shit. What are you doing mad about? The fact that people like Yuchan and not you? Maybe if you weren’t so unlikable, you would have friends too,” About to turn around, she felt her body jerk as he pulled her chair and scowled, obviously offended that she hadn’t given the time of the day.
“What? You’re defending him? I always knew you were someone who fucked inbred shit like him,” Astounded by the words coming from his mouth, she fell silent for a moment before poison dropped from her words.
“You’re the worst goddamn kind of person, the type who can’t face the fact that they’re a piece of shit. Yuchan is 1000 times more humane than you’ll ever be,” she stood up, glowering at him with danger setting fires in her eyes. “I told you never to speak to me and you open your mouth to talk shit? I shouldn’t have expected anything else.”
He stood up also, the entire office falling silence as they watched them both. Kihyun got up immediately, knowing it wasn’t going to end well - there had always been tension between them and it all seemed to be bubbling over in one terrible mess.
“Fuck you,” he hissed, “I bet you’ve sucked his dick and that’s why you’re so far up his ass,” she scoffed at his childish response, rolling her eyes.
Changseok seemed to not like that, his hand reaching towards her shoulder to try and coax a reaction from her, however she was faster.
Within a second, he was clutching his nose, shock clear in his eyes as she clenched her fist, his head snapped back for a moment as the sin of wrath coloured her features.
Kihyun rushed over, as Changseok moved forward, grabbing his hands as she grit her jaw, teeth grinding against each other with the force she was using to not punch him again.
“Changseok, you pathetic fuck,” she hissed and Kihyun held out his hand, trying to keep the damage at bay. She paid no attention to him, her stare enough to burn through his skin. “It’s so sad watching you show your true colours. Maybe one day someone other than your mother who will love you, though I highly doubt she does either.” She turned on her heel, grabbing her bag and slinging it over her shoulder, her actions reverberating off the walls in the near silent office. “I’m not coming back until he’s out of my fucking face.”
Those were the words that echoed loudly within the four walls, glances exchanged as people looked at each other in disbelief, the door shaking behind her as she slammed it shut.
Changseok shoved away Kihyun, storming towards the bathroom with both a bruised ego and face.
And it was then that Yuchan finally felt his face burning, his eyes watery as he tried to wipe at his face as inconspicuously as he could. He wasn’t stupid, he had always noticed how Changseok didn’t like him, but he never would have thought he hated him to such an extent over something he had no control over.
The screen in front of him blurred, the glances and whispers of everyone else making him feel like he was back at his first day, being judged and scrutinised for everything he did.
Wanting nothing more than to curl up into a ball, he was thankful for Kihyun as he barked at everyone else to carry on working and to stop looking at him. A gentle hand found it’s way on his shoulder, squeezing it comfortingly.
“I’m sorry, Yuchan. You don’t deserve that.”
He shook his head, blinking away the tears that threatened to fall. “I don’t want her to get into trouble. Especially not over me.”
Kihyun’s eyes were warm, filled with sympathy ss he shook his head. “Don’t worry about it. Changseok started it so he’ll get the most of the punishment. She’ll be okay,” he sniffled, comforted at the thought, “if you want to go home, that’s completely okay. I’ll tell Junhee for you.”
Thanking him quietly, he got up from his seat, swallowing down the bile that threatened to make it way up his throat, his mind weighed down by the thoughts racing through his head. Barely looking anyway apart from straight ahead, he raced out of the building and kept his head down, finally able to wipe his face in peace. At least in the streets of Seoul no one acknowledged each other, too busy caring about themselves to care about him.
The last thing he wanted to do was be the reason that she was fired, though he couldn’t say that the fact she defended him hadn’t left his chest feeling warm and fuzzy. It was just that his feeling of guilt was overpowering it.
He couldn’t imagine coming into work and not seeing her pretty face coming up to him with happiness and a genuine excitement for meeting him. Yuchan didn’t want to imagine it either; she hadn’t even opened the gift he had gotten her this time.
Then, as he was walking, he heard his name being called. First it was very failure, almost a figment of his imagination, before he heard it louder and clearer.
“Yuchan, wait!” He looked over his shoulder to see one of his seniors running towards him; Yoongi, one of the quieter but well respected higher ups. Yuchan hadn’t really interacted with him before save for the occasional smiles as Kihyun bothered him.
He paused in his walking, desperately hoping he didn’t look like shit.
Yoongi rushed up to him, looking slightly out of breath but still coherent enough to talk. “I’m sorry for what happened Yuchan. You shouldn’t have had to hear all that shit coming out of his mouth ”
“It’s o-”
“It’s not,” Yoongi shook his head, “He’s going to get fired and even though (y/n) will get a strike for punching him, she won’t be let go. We should have sacked him a long time ago,” his heart felt a million times lighter hearing that, a smile breaking out on his face and stretching across his cheeks.
Yoongi patted his shoulder. “Keep up the good work. We understand if you want to take a couple of days off. Stay healthy, Yuchan.” Yoongi. walked away again with a dip of his head.
Even though the feeling of guilt still lingered, he was so much more jovial, now walking home with a skip in his step rather than pulling his feet along behind him.
Tumblr media
Her empty desk was slowly getting on his nerves. He knew in his heart of hearts that she would be coming back soon and that it just took a while for them to properly clean up all of Changseok’s belongings; he was still impatient.
Yoongi had said she would be back and he had to believe that it would be soon.
His headphones were over his ears, a half eaten sandwich in its wrapper on his desk. He didn’t have much of an appetite while at work anymore - subconsciously associating it with her and her presence. It didn’t feel right to eat if she wasn’t at least there or had said hi that day.
Music played loudly in his ears, focused on completing the banner so he could go home and bury himself under the covers for a weekend.
As he changed the colour of it, his attention was diverted by a box being set down between his arms. Wrapped in silvery paper and a glittering gold ribbon, it was incredibly reminiscent of his own packaging methods.
Pulling the headphones around his neck, his breath hitched in his throat as the smile he had come to adore beamed down at him and bathed him in sunshine. He swallowed, words suddenly glued to the tip of his tongue.
“Hi,” She spoke first, sitting down beside him, “how are you, Chan? Everything’s going good?”
He nodded, wishing he could have said something instead of becoming silent.
“That’s good,” she mused, “He’s been fired so I’m back. I got a warning though, but that’s whatever."
"I’m glad you’re back,” he finally vocalised and she grinned, “I missed you.”
A silence followed and he was worried he had overstepped a boundary, rushing to try and rectify it - only to be stopped by her soft giggle.
“You did? That’s cute,” she replied, her finger tapping on the box lightly, “thank you for the gifts by the way. They’re always so beautiful and I really enjoyed getting them.” Even though she only knew it was him because of Changseok opening his mouth, he couldn’t help but still be delighted and slightly embarrassed that he had been found out.
Slowly, he reached out to slide his finger under the seals, copying her care and delicacy, before pulling the ribbon away and opening it up. Inside was a small rose charm, the rose tinted metal glittering brightly and with the sole purpose of catching his attention.
“I know it’s not as pretty as everything you got me, but I hope you’ll like it more when you find out the second thing I got you,” he looked back inside the box, visibly confused when there was nothing there. “It’s a date. I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me, Channie.”
He froze up immediately, eyes wide and turning into the size of golf balls as his mind screeched to a hold. Did she seriously just ask him out? The girl he had a crush on for months, asked him out?
If he wasn’t so gobsmacked he would have been mortified at his lack of response, her face dropping almost unnoticeably at his lack of reply. God, could he be anymore of a moron?
“Yes!” The exclamation came way too loudly and he cleared his throat, unable to meet her gaze ad he fiddled with the charm. “Um, yeah. I would really like that.”
“That’s great,” her hand was warm, resting on top of his as she squeezed his gently, “could I have your number then?"
Fumbling with his phone, it almost slipped through his fingers as he handed it to her and he cursed himself for being such a mess. Thankfully, she seemed to find it endearing, sparkles lighting up her eyes as she saved his number in her phone and sent him a text. "Thank you, baby,” his cheeks flushed an even more vibrant crimson and he was sure he matched Kihyun’s hair by now.
Even so, the last nail in his coffin had to be the gentle way her hands cupped his face, leaning closer so that her gentle and comforting scent invaded his senses. Her lips were soft against his cheek, the skin tingling even as she moved away - fingers brushing across the side of his face.
He could only stare owlishly at her retreating figure, all thoughts disappearing. Yuchan could not believe that any of that had happened.
Then, like a bucket of cold water being thrown onto him, he heard Kihyun laughing from beside him, his foot landing on the side of his chair to spin him around. “I can’t believe you got her to ask you out. I never thought I’d see the day, you really are special if she likes you, Yuchan."
Attempting to cover his face with his hands, Kihyun only continued to find amusement in his shyness, poking his side lightly before turning back to his work - still laughing. Nonetheless, Yuchan couldn’t have cared less. He had a date to worry about now.
Tumblr media
The flavour of coffee and sugar coated his tongue, sweetness spreading across his mouth as he took another sip of his drink in an to attempt to pass the time which seemed to be passing by both incredibly quick and irritatingly slow.
15 minutes had gone by and he was beginning to think that she had stood him up. That thought alone hurt to have and he could feel his stomach twist the more he lingered on that idea. That was the last thing he wanted to believe - to even consider. She wasn’t the type of person to do that, was she?
Consumed by his own thoughts, he didn’t hear the bell to the shop open and a hurried figure walk in. Only when the chair beside him scraped against the floor and and apologetic face was in front of his visage, did he realise who he was staring at.
"I’m so sorry, Channie. I got caught up with my roommate, she couldn’t figure out what to get her girlfriend and dragged me into helping her,``she huffed and he found the puff of her cheeks to be adorable, his eyes turning into gentle crescent moons ad he forgot about all the negative emotions had felt just moments ago.
"It’s okay, it was only 15 minutes, I don’t mind,” He really didn’t mind, not even she was looking so pretty just for him, her countenance as beautiful as ever - if not slightly more so today. “You look really nice today.”
Her eyes roamed over his body, looking over the maroon jacket that he had coupled with a black turtleneck and then back up to his face. “You look extra cute today as well.”
Yuchan swore he was going to become permanently pink faced around her.
Now that she was here, time seemed to fly by, speeding past until she placed her hand over his and suggested they leave the café in favour of walking around the nearby botanical garden. And how could he disagree to walking with pretty flowers and a stunning woman beside him?
Her arm looped around his, content written across her features as she spoke about whatever. Then, she paused for a moment and looked up at him. “Yuchan, can I ask you a personal question?”
“Yeah, sure.”
“Are you a crow hybrid?” He was a little bewildered that she had figured it out; he was sure he had never given any indication towards his species.
“Mhm. How did you find that out?”
“Well, for one you’re really intelligent and can pick out problems and solutions really quickly. And two, I noticed you really seem to like shiny things and collect them.- all the jewellery you wear is really bright, I think it’s cute,” His smile was broad, hiding his face in her shoulder as she ruffled his hair, smooth in the strands gently between her fingers.
“Can I ask you a question?”
“Of course.”
“Why did you defend me and risk your job like that?” She stilled for a moment, but she carried on brushing her fingers through the silly black strands.
“Because I don’t like him and his views. He’s a piece of shit that thinks he can say things like that and get away with it. I would have done it for anyone, but it annoyed me especially because he was saying it about you. You’re so sweet, Yuchannie and he refuses to acknowledge that,” Her voice was soothing and he found himself relaxing against her touch, “and besides. I got to punch him and keep my job, I think it’s a win win situation.”
He laughed, the sound full of mirth and of gratitude. “That’s nice to know,” He remarked teasingly and she pulled him down onto the bench with a finger against her smiling lips.
Her fingers slipped into her coat pocket, rummaging around for something before she pulled out a small velvet box. The small thing was opened up and within there was a dainty half heart necklace, encrusted with red gems and a single pink one in the middle.
Without giving him a chance to speak, she unclasped the necklace and gestured for him to lean down, placing it gently around his neck and patting the spot above his heart. She reached under her shirt and pulled out her own identical necklace, the other half of the heart.
“There,” she spoke as she tucked it back under her shirt, “now I can add you to my collection of pretty things."
Oh god, he thought as he pressed a kiss to her cheek in an attempt to do something with himself, she’s going to make me fall so hard.

kyc - ‘easier’
kang yuchan [a. 349 words] “easier” - 5 seconds of summer
(i love you so much that i hate you, right now it’s so hard to blame you cause you’re so damn beautiful, so damn beautiful)
Tumblr media
“i hope you’re proud of yourself. tell me. how does it feel to know you always have me coming back?”
yuchan chose not to answer, instead opting to hold your waist tighter and push his frame closer to yours. he delicately raises your chin, allowing himself to stare into your eyes. the lights in the empty bar hallway don’t do him justice, the blank forest green walls only making him stand out more. he places a soft, light kiss on your lips. he keeps his face close to yours, bringing your foreheads together. he sighs, “i don’t know what’s more impressive: my ability to have you coming back time and time again or how desperate you are to return. it’s the same routine.”
you scoff at how shameless he is. “i wish you wouldn’t look at me like that. you say that you’ll be there and that you love me, but we always end up fighting.”
“tough love,” he spits out.
“this,” you pause pointing in between the two of you, your voice raising in volume and irritation, “is not tough love, chan. it’s tough, but it’s not love.”
“come on… don’t say that.” he reaches down to hold your hand, a second too late when you yank it away defensively.
“did you ever actually love me?”
he hesitates. “of course, i did.”
“exactly my point. you did. you don’t anymore.” you place your hands against his chest, feeling the satin material of his button up. you gently push him away from you. “why can’t you just let me go for once? it’ll be better for the both of us.”
“i will, eventually. i can’t now, not right now. tonight, i want to be with you. at least give me that. please… for me…”
you don’t know what happened afterwards. it’s a blur like always. one second he’s talking all sweet, trying to convince you, and you want to refuse. only thing you’re sure of is muttering the words “just for tonight” some time in between. yet you always find yourself waking up in his bed the next morning.

BEST FRIEND A.C.E. A⇴Z HEADCANON ⇴ Kang Yuchan
Tumblr media
A ⇴ ATTENTION
Quite often Yuchan would give you his attention without even realising that he was doing it. His eye can’t help but look, and his ear definitely can’t help but listen for your laughter whenever he knows you’re around.
B ⇴ BICKER
When the two of you bicker, you usually use others around you in hysterics too because of how ridiculous you can get towards one another. No one can ever really believe the things that come out of your mouths when you bicker as you both have a determination to try and outlast the other when chatting.
C ⇴ COMFORT
It’s the one time that Yuchan is serious around you, when you need comforting. He knows as your best friend that he needs to be there for you, and he absolutely is. He won’t laugh or joke, he’ll give you a comfortable space to feel as if you can talk about what’s on your mind and also feel supported by him.
D ⇴ DISAGREEMENTS
On the rare occasion that the two of you argue, they never usually last for too long. Yuchan especially will make the effort to talk to you and understand where things weren’t wrong so that you both could fix it. The two of you had a pretty good understanding of one another anyway, but when a disagreement did arise you made sure to find out where things went wrong so you could learn something new about each other.
E ⇴ EARLY YEARS
Because you met in a professional capacity, the two of you found yourselves talking mainly because it was your job to. You tended to keep the conversation very strict between the two of you at the start, but that wasn’t what Yuchan wanted. The more time that he spent with you, the more time that he spent trying to get to know you better, encouraging you to relax and be friendly rather than professional.
F ⇴ FAMILY
Yuchan’s family were big fans of you, they were constantly reminding him not to let you go. They only ever wanted what was best for Yuchan and having you as a best friend was definitely one of those things. Every single time that they saw you, they made sure to remind Yuchan of just how great they thought you were, and he knew too that he was lucky, without them having to drill it into him.
G ⇴ GETTING TOGETHER
When the two of you hung out, you’d work off of impulse, neither of you ever really knew what you wanted to do. You loved to just see what took your fancy, whether it was something local, or if you fancied a drive heading further out to the outskirts of the city to see if you could find something new to get up to.
H ⇴ HABITS
The two of you had a habit of knowing exactly when the other was going through a difficult time. The lack of smiles on your faces would speak volumes straight away to one another, but even just when you were speaking to one another on the phone you could tell straight away when things weren’t alright.
I ⇴ INSIDE JOKES
His funny antics especially left you and Yuchan with many inside jokes between you both, as you never let him forget the ones where he left himself feeling embarrassed especially. You loved to use them to get Yuchan to do things for you as he never wanted anyone else to know about his humiliating moments.
J ⇴ JEALOUSY
Getting jealous wasn’t something that happened very often for Yuchan, he didn’t care about most of your other friends as he knew that he would always be your best friend and that no one else would be better than him. If someone wanted to try and get close to you, Yuchan often couldn’t help but just laugh at them as he knew that they would never get anywhere near threatening his role as your best friend.
K ⇴ KICKS
Yuchan got a kick out of making you jump, he was constantly hiding and jumping out on you to make you laugh, or scream. You were constantly on your toes as you never quite knew where Yuchan would come from as he kept finding new places to hide, spots that he knew that you’d never expect him to be too.
L ⇴ LOVE
He loved how well the two of you worked together, Yuchan always had fun whenever he was with you. Even if you weren’t at work and doing something silly like trying to win a toy at the arcade or deciding on how to organise your snacks so that they fitted in the cupboard to hide them from everyone else, the two of you were a great team, there were never any arguments or cross words at each other.
M ⇴ MEETING
The two of you first met when you were hired as a dancer for one of the group’s stages. You were shy to say the least when you first met as you’d heard several of the group’s songs, but Yuchan especially made you feel welcome and showed you the ropes which was how your friendship started.
N ⇴ NONSENSE
Most people saw Yuchan as the funny guy, but you saw that to a whole new extreme, he didn’t care what he looked like around you, he would embarrass more than he did around anyone else when he was with you.
O ⇴ OBSESSION
Yuchan was obsessed with your laughter, it was always a sound that he welcomed. Your happiness was something that Yuchan was particularly fond of and something that he always wanted to see with you too.
P ⇴ PRECIOUS MOMENTS
The moments that meant the most to Yuchan were the ones when the two of you were up on stage together. He especially loved when you danced more alongside him, being able to see your smile and your passion in dance often gave him the motivation to perform a little bit better too so that everything went perfectly.
Q ⇴ QUESTIONS
He never shied away from asking you for advice, most people knew too that Yuchan relied on you a lot. Even if it was a stupid question, Yuchan knew that you’d always try and answer it seriously for him.
R ⇴ RANDOM FACTS
Whenever he introduced you to a member of staff, he would introduce you first as his best friend, and then as a dancer. He did it mainly because he was proud to be able to call you his best friend, but also slightly as he wanted to make sure that none of the staff members tried to get too close to you.
S ⇴ SUPPORT
Your encouragement was one of Yuchan’s favourite things because you always made things sound so positive. He especially loved it if you were working with him as you could support him right before he went out on stage which was usually when the nerves started to eat away and trouble him the most.
T ⇴ TRIPS
One of the advantages of having you working with the group meant that you went on many of their group trips too. Yuchan loved nothing more than when he saw you on the list of dancers flying out with them.
U ⇴ ULTIMATE
He couldn’t wish for anyone better than you, you were the best friend that he had dreamed of having when he was younger.
V ⇴ VISITS
Quite often Yuchan would visit you at work and see what it was that you were getting up to. If you were working on something for the group, then he would never say no to a sneak preview of what that was.
W ⇴ WISDOM
He was like a box of advice for you, Yuchan always had something to say to try and make life just a tiny little bit easier for you.
X ⇴ XXXX
For the most part the two of you were quite affectionate, however if you needed not to be for some reason then you’d absolutely respect that. You knew when it was alright to joke and when to behave yourselves.
Y ⇴ YOU
You were his pride, he loved showing you off and bragging about how talented you were.
Z ⇴ ZZZ
The moment it seemed even just the tiniest bit unsafe for you to drive home, Yuchan would make you stay with him. He refused to let you put yourself in even the slightest bit of harm by driving late at night especially.

A.C.E & Us
Tumblr media
Title: A.C.E & Us
Pairing: A.C.E x Single Mom reader
Genre: A mix of things
Warning: Mentions of past issues
Chan:
Tonight has been such a good night and it couldn’t get any better. Work has been beyond hectic and I just needed a nice relaxing night at home. Cuddling on the couch with my boyfriend while watching his favorite movie? I was almost asleep, leaning against the side of the couch with my legs draped over his lap. So comfy. Nothing could go wrong. That is, until I hear scared whimpers coming from the bedroom down the hall. I frown at the sound, wishing I could fix it once and for all.
“Looks like he’s having nightmares again.” I whisper.
“Yeah, do you-” Chan starts to say when little feet pitter patter against the tiled floor.
A little light brown haired boy walks in, rubbing his eyes, “Mommy? I had a bad dream.” He murmurs, sniffling.
“It’s okay lil man.” I open my arms and smile as he walks over to us, climbing onto my lap. “Come on baby, we need to get you back to bed.” I rub his back. “No!” He shakes his head and hides in my neck.
Chan looks over at me, understanding in his eyes. A little bit later, both of us falling asleep, Chan takes the initiative, “Hey, big guy. What do you say I take you back in there and tuck you in? I’ll tell you a story, what do you say?”
He picks the sleepy boy up and carries him back to his room. I feel bad letting him do it. He’s my responsibility, not Chan’s.. He didn’t ask for this. The joys of dating a single mom... I get up and sneak down the hall, peeking in his bedroom door. Chan’s leaning back with him tucked safely under the blankets. I hear Chan turn the page and begin to read my son’s favorite story to him. I smile as I lean against the door, catching my boyfriend’s eye. He smiles at me but continues to read.
Soft snores eventually fill the room and Chan places the book on a dresser, wiggling out from underneath the boy’s grasp.
“Thank you.” I whisper as he walks towards me.
Wrapping his arms around my waist, he smirks and kisses my forehead, “I don’t mind. He’s a great kid.”
I smile at the compliment happily, “I’m glad you think so.”
“He takes after you. You’ve done well on your own, love.”
I feel my face getting red and hide in his chest, “I’ve done the best I can.”
“I promise to be there from here on out. We’ll do the best we can now, if you’ll let me.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Donghun:
“Hot chocolate in ten!” I hear from the kitchen.
“Right before bed, Donghun? You’ll give her nightmares with all that sugar.”
“She’ll make it through the movie, it’s her favorite. So, hot chocolate at the beginning won’t hurt babe.” He smiles, wrapping his arms around my waist and I wrap my arms around his neck.
“Fine, but if she wakes up with nightmares you’re taking care of her tonight. I have to work tomorrow.” I pout.
“Okay. I may not have been around long, but I’d do anything for her and you.” I tear up hearing the words. It’s only been eight months but the 5 year old in the other room loves him like he’s been there forever. I do too. It’s been rough, but Donghun has made it better. I can’t picture our lives without him. A tear slides down my cheek and he wipes it away with his thumb.
“Donghunnie! Donghunnie! Is it done yet?” I hear as my dark headed little girl runs in the kitchen. I let go of him and smile as he bends down and she runs into his arms.
“Not yet, my princess. Want to help me finish it?” He asks, booping her nose. “Can I?” She asks, excitedly.
“Of course. Maybe your mom can start the movie?” I nod at him when he looks my way, seeing that I’m being sent away from all the fun. Turning on The Little Mermaid, I pause it at the beginning and walk back to the kitchen.
I smile and lean against the door frame. Their backs to me while Donghun stirs the milk and cocoa powder together and she holds the mini marshmallows patiently in her hands.
“Can I add them now, Donghunnie?” She asks.
“Not yet, little one. I’m almost done.”
“Okay.” She pouts and I hear him laugh at her, “You’re just like your mom when she doesn’t get her way.” He says. I almost speak up when I hear that comment but let it slide.
“I want to be like mommy when I grow up.” She beams, looking up at him, “Can I add them now? Please?” She asks, getting distracted.
“You can add it to this one, princess.” He chuckles, placing a mug in front of her.
“Yay!” I hear her giggle and quietly take my phone out of my pocket to snap a picture of them.
----------------------------------------------------
Jun:
“Mom? Can we go get pizza?” My 8 year old asks as he gets in the car. I had just gotten off work and was exhausted.
“Sure, man. Did you have a good day at school?” I ask in return.
“Yeah and Mr. Park says he needs to speak with you again.”
“Again? What did you do kid?” I sigh.
“Nothing. I just have a few bad grades in math.” He grumbles from the back seat.
“Is he still inside?”
He nods and I pull into a parking spot and we walk inside the school, heading straight for his classroom. My palms are sweaty and I’m nervous. I don’t know why, I’m not the one in trouble. I knock on the door and walk in while my little boy sits in the chair sitting in the hallway.
“Mr. Park?”
“Yes?” He asks, looking up, “Oh! Hello. I assume you’re here to talk about grades?”
I nod, “I know it’s hard for him to grasp and I’m not great at maths. I don’t really have anyone else to help him, but we try our best.”
“That’s why I asked to speak with you. I know you’re doing your best and I was wondering if I could help him after school. I could come to your house and tutor him or we could meet in the library.”
“I- Really? That would be great. When would you be able to?”
“I could start today if you’d like. We have a test tomorrow and I could help him prepare.”
I nod happily and thank him. His smile lit up the room and made my heart flutter.
A year later and Jun was still coming over everyday.
-School-
“Hey, man. Did you understand everything today?” Jun asks as the final bell rings.
“Yeah, thanks Jun. Are you coming over tonight for mom’s birthday?” He asks the boy.
“Of course. I got her a gift and figured we could go get her a cake. I already told her I’d drive you home. She can relax for a bit before we get there.”
“Sweet!” He smiles.
“Come on, let’s go.”
-Home-
“Mom! We’re back!”
“Hey, kiddo. How was school?” I ask, walking into the hallway.
“Good! Jun said we’re going to study for my finals this weekend.” He beams.
“Good. Let’s enjoy dinner first.” I smile at him. Jun walks in behind the boy, holding a cake and a gift bag. “Jun! What’s this?” I ask, startled.
“Your birthday surprise.” He smirks.
“You guys didn’t.” I feel tears fall and smile like an idiot.
“Here, man. Sit these on the table for me?” He asks, handing the stuff over. The little boy nods, taking the stuff from Jun happily. Jun walks over to me and takes my face in his hands, “It’s your birthday, babe. You’ve worked a lot lately. You deserve it. I’ll cook tonight too.” Kissing my lips, he let’s go of my face and takes my hands, leading me to the kitchen.
He motions for me to sit and takes all the ingredients out to cook, working away.
A bit later, dinner is over and the cake has been eaten. Jun hands me 2 gifts.
“Open mine first, mom!” He grins. I open the biggest one to find a box of chocolates and a teddy bear, “Aw, I love it baby. Thank you.” I smile at him.
“My turn.” Jun smiles. Taking the smaller bag, I open it and find a silver chain with an infinity symbol that says forever. Tears swarmed in my eyes as I looked up at the 2 guys in my life that would always be there for me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sehyoon:
“Sehni! Where’s mommy?” The red headed little girl walks into the room and asks me.
“She’s at work, my sweet. She’ll be home soon.” I say, sitting the art brush down.
Her face fell and I walk over to her, bending down to her level, “What? Am I not good enough to watch you anymore?”
She giggles and shakes her head, “No, I just miss her.”
“I know you do but she has to work to take care of you, silly.” I chuckle, poking her tummy.
“I know. She works because I don’t have a daddy.”
“Where did you hear that, my sweet?” I ask, feeling my heart drop at the 4-year old’s words.
Her lip juts out, “A kid at school.”
I wrap my arms around her, picking her up and feel her arms wrap around me and her face bury in my neck, “Well, need I remind you... I’m not your dad, but I love you and your mom and I’m not going anywhere.”
“Promise?” She asks, sniffling and looking up at me.
“I promise.”
“Sehni? Can we go outside and play?”
“Sure. Do you want to ride our bikes to the park and play until it’s time for your mom to get off?” I ask.
Nodding, she smiles and I dry her cheeks.
“Go and grab your jacket then. Let me put my paints away, alright?”
“Alright!” She giggles.
I kiss her nose and set her on the floor so she can run back to her room.
---------------------------------------------------
Byeongkwan:
“Kwan?” I say, getting his attention and returning back to my coffee. He’s space out thinking about something.
“Yeah? Sorry, I was thinking.” He chuckles.
“I can see that. Want to talk about it?”
“Nah, it’s nothing bad. Where are the minis?”
“At school.” I laugh.
“Wait, then shouldn’t you be at work?”
“I have today off, dork. What’s with you today?”
He looks at me, thinking again and I really wonder what’s going through his head. “I love you guys, you know that? I know I haven’t been in your life for long, but I love you.” He smiles.
My heart rate picks up and butterflies explode in my stomach. I feel the heat rise to my face and the smile won’t fall off.
“I- I love you too.” I say, looking down.
“Really?”
“Yes, really.”
His eyes light up and he leans over, pressing a kiss to my lips. “I was thinking about when I met you 3 for the first time.”
My smile fades a bit, remembering the rough time in my life that was just 2 years ago. Homeless and living in a car with a 2 year old and 4 year old, while working odd jobs to make ends meet.
“No, no, don't lose the smile, baby. You’ve come so far.” He says, tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear. I look down at the table and nod, “I know. It’s hard to believe we were there at one point though. I wouldn’t be here without you, ya know.”
Just then I hear the front door open and squeals of excitement.
“Kwani! You’re here!” The little girl grins, running into the kitchen.
“I am.” He smiles, holding his arms open for the 4-year-old and placing her on his lap.
“Bk! Will you play video games with me?” My 6-year-old asks, running in to stand beside him and wait for his answer.
“You’ve got to ask your mom, sir. Do you have homework?” He asks them.
“Not today! We had testing all day today.” The boy smiles and turns to me, “Can we mom? Can Bk please play a game with me?”
“After dinner and only if I get hugs and kisses first.” I laugh. I’m attacked by 2 children and kissed several times before I feel a kiss on my head and chuckle, “I didn’t mean you Kwan, but I’ll take it.” I smile.

Hi May!
Thank you so much for your translations. I was wondering who was nicknamed “Beggar’ in the latest convo you translated >< (I’m a relatively new Choice, I apologise for asking).
Also, not that it matters (my opinion I mean), but I think it’d be easier to read if you translate their conversations in the caption of your post directly :)
Thanks again for everything!
oh no problem! don't apologise for asking, we love new Choice!! :) 'beggar' is what the members (especially Donghun) jokingly call their maknae Yuchan, because he gives them puppy eyes to steal their food and looks rough when he wakes up in the morning
in this video he talks about it briefly but I don't know why the subs mistranslate 거렁뱅이 to tortoise and squirrel, just imagine it says beggar instead
and here you can see a couple of seconds of what I mean with "begging" for food ^^

Sehyoon cherished the privacy of his bedroom, as it was the one space where he could indulge in his secret obsession. It served as his personal sanctuary, allowing him to surreptitiously observe your every move. From the comfort of his bedroom window, he had an uninterrupted view into your life, a voyeuristic privilege that both thrilled and consumed him.
For hours on end, Sehyoon would find himself captivated by the sight of you in your art studio. There, you would sit at your easel, completely engrossed in your creative process. With each stroke of your brush, a masterpiece would come to life on the canvas, leaving Sehyoon in awe of your talent. He longed to catch a glimpse of your other works, to witness the full extent of your artistic prowess, but his shyness held him back from approaching you directly.
Lost in his thoughts one day, Sehyoon was suddenly startled by a voice behind him. "Who are you peeping at?" Yuchan's mischievous grin greeted him as he turned around, causing Sehyoon to jump so forcefully that he accidentally hit the window. His heart raced as he tried to compose himself, realizing that his secret had been exposed. "Oh, her? Why don't you just go say hi?"
He shook his head. "How would that work? This is the only time I see her." He looked down. "She'd freak out if she knew I watched her."
Yuchan shrugged and reached into his bag of chips. "How would that be better than her simply looking up and seeing you staring? Might as well just introduce yourself." The chip almost touched his lip when his eyes widened. "Or…" He muscled his way to the window and flicked the latch. A second too slow, Sehyoon tried to stop him. "Wait--"
"Hey!" Yuchan called out. You startled at your easel, looking around in bewilderment until you spotted a guy all but leaning out a window waving to get your attention. "Yeah, up here. Hi!"
A few blinks and you were waving back with a brush in your hand. "Hi there!"
Sehyoon covered his face as his skin heated up. "I can't believe you." He muttered.
Yuchan ignored him. "My friend here likes your art! Can he see what you're working on?"
It was your turn to freeze up and turn red. "I--uh--this one?" Yuchan nodded like a happy little idiot. You hesitated but to their surprise you reached over and picked up the canvas. "Please don't think badly of me."
Your shyness was endearing and Sehyoon found himself pushing Yuchan over. "We won't."
Maybe he was imagining it, but it seemed like your blush deepened when you made eye contact. "Okay." You turned the art towards them and for once even Yuchan was speechless. The painting was nowhere near finished but the sketch was good enough to know what it was. He could honestly say he'd never thought that you could see him as well as he could see you. It was a candid portrait of him leaning on his window sill, gazing up at the clouds. You captured him in a way he'd never seen himself, and he liked it.
"Wow that's amazing!" Yuchan pushed him aside. "Will you do one of me next? I wanna hang it up in the living room."
You let out a laugh so precious accompanied with a smile that warmed him from the inside out. "Why don't you come over for tea and cookies and we can talk about it?"

“The bathroom window, really?” Donghun fails in attempt to contain his laughter as your eyes narrow at him. “Fuck you Lee,” you curse as he finds your incident amusing.
“So you just left them there in your apartment fighting?” Byeongkwan asked looking concerned, though you knew he was just hiding his laughter well. “They wasn’t fighting, arguing maybe but not fighting,” you scoff holding the pillow by your side as you sink into Donghun’s sofa. “But still you left them in your apartment?” Byeongkwan questioned. “What was there for me to do Witness that, no I can’t,” you said throwing your face into the pillow as Yuchan came to sit next you patting your back. “Don’t you think you owe it to them to at least talk with them?” Junhee said with a slight lecturing tone. “I don’t even know what to say to myself let alone them,” you said feeling ashamed. “Look it don’t matter you wasn’t with Sunwoo in the first place, he kept ditching you so I don’t know why you feel guilty,” Donghun scoffed picking the pillow from your grip to throw it gently at you playfully. “He’s right,” Sehyoon said sitting the other side to you pulling you in for one of his magical hugs to Donghun’s rolled eyes.
“I still say bin them both off, we can find you a better mature guy,” Donghun said pulling Sehyoon off you to place his own arms as Sehyoon sunk back next to Byeongkwan. “What about Seoham he’s cute?” Byeongkwan said dreamy, “yes let’s add a third person into her complicated situation,” Junhee scolds. “Suchan you need to work out which one you want and focus on that one,” he smiles at you. “And if you don’t want either of them then bin them both off,” Donghun added pulling you into his chest as he rested on the sofa.
“I wanted Sunwoo, but he doesn’t want a relationship,” you scowl. “And Heechan, he’s just, you know Fun, exciting and I enjoy his company,” you added smiling thinking fondly of Him. “Well if Sunwoo doesn’t want you I’m team Heechan,” Yuchan said smiling beside you. “I’m team none of them,” Donghun whined.
“You can do better then being someone’s shag piece,” he added. “What like you hyung?” Byeongkwan teased, earning the pillow you was hugging to be snatch to land against his face. “Don’t be an ass kwannie,” he scoffs pulling you back into him. “I think you need to go back and talk with them,” Sehyoon said softly. “I’m sure your figure it out when you there with what you want,” he added warmly. “I think Sehni’s right,” Junhee added making you groan into Donghun’s T-shirt.
“Go home, have a nice bath at the very least,” Donghun said brushing the loose hair behind your ear.
You was sat in Donghun’s car the music failing to calm your anxious heart. “I can come in with you if you want,” he offered placing his hand over yours. “No you got a movie night of your own that I’ve ruined as it is,” you said smiling at him. “You could never ruin anything, annoy me in your companionship but not ruin it,” he winks sarcastically. “But princess I stand what I say, you deserve to be treated with love and respect like the princess you are, not just some one’s shag piece,” he said smiling. Lacing his fingers with yours he brings your hand to his mouth to press a small kiss making you feel warmth from the contact. In moments that he shows sweetness you wished that there was something more to your friendship.
You breathed in deeply anticipating the state of the apartment, imagining some brutal scuffle. But your heart thundered in your chest even harder when you walked in to find Heechan and Sunwoo still there chuckling on the sofa at what ever they had put on to watch.
“You going to just stand and gawp?” Heechan chuckled your way. “You run and ditch us and then think you have the right to look at us like a freak show,” Sunwoo added playfully. “What are you doing here?” You asked, your voice betraying you by cracking. “Well you invited me remember,” Heechan smirked, “and me too,” Sunwoo added letting his teeth smiling grin creep on his face, all while you blinked confused.
“When?” You gasped holding on to the kitchen island to hold you up. “Lunch date,” he scoffed as you scrunched your eyebrows. “You left me,” you said slightly ignoring that Heechan was exposed to your conversation. “I left to get food and some things to apologise, I was always going to come back,” Sunwoo added as you looked dumb struck at his revelation. Sunwoo hadn’t left you and instead had gone to treat you to come back to find you naked with his friend.
You winced as you realised how awful it looked. “You two was arguing?” You gulped watching them smirk at each other and look back your way. “No we was discussing things as we was confused that you was shagging us both,” Sunwoo said smiling which made you feel even more anxious. “Naughty naughty girl,” Heechan said playfully as he wiggled his finger in your direction. “You should have just said you wanted us both,” Heechan added standing up off the sofa. “We’re not against sharing you you know,” he winked pulling you in to him. “A playground can have plenty of players in it,” he whispered pressing kisses to your neck.
Sunwoo leapt off the sofa and joined Heechan, walking towards you. “Works well with me as it stops us losing ourselves, Because it’s just fun,” he says brushing his thumb over your bottom lip. “Share,” you gasp earning them to look at each other and then at you. “Yes share,” Sunwoo said, his voice melting you once more. “Your mine,” he says pressing his lips to yours momentarily. “And mine,” Heechan says placing a finger under your chin to face him so he could softly kiss you as well. “And also he’s mine,” Heechan adds pecking Sunwoo’s cheeks to his scrunched Up face as he gently punched his friends arms. “You little shit,” he says wiping Heechans kiss as you stifle the laugh that Heechan can’t control himself.
“Last time I checked I wasn’t little, Suchan can vouch for that right?” Heechan smirks looking at you for confirmation which instead encourages a warmed blush upon your face.
“So we’re all dating?” You asked still confused at there arrangement that they made while you ran away. “No, I told you dating isn’t my thing,” Sunwoo scowled. “We’re three friends who enjoy a good fucking session,” Heechan says mischievously. “Separately, together or combined,” he adds, his eyes attacking yours. You gulp at Heechan’s words realising your in your own personal hell. You can barely cope with them individually let alone both of them together, butterfly’s attacking your stomach at the thought.
“She’s going crazy with those thoughts,” Sunwoo teased, his blown eyes making your thighs tighten. “She looked like she was losing her mind on my cock alone, she might not come back if we both fuck her,” Heechan said Zoning his beautiful brown eyes your way. Caught between the two of them toying with you was making your thighs slick with your arousal.
“I think we already lost her without a single touch,” Sunwoo chuckled, his laughter making your breathe hitch. “I need to breathe,” you admitted, pushing them out the way making the way to the bathroom in an attempt to drown yourself or at the very least give yourself a cold shower to ground you.
The cold water splashed on your face did little to calm your core from there words. Your eyes widened when they both made there way to join you, Sunwoo making sure to lock the door. “Having a shower sounds like a good idea,” Heechan smirked as he started undoing the buttons on his shirt.
“What,” you stuttered, your heart thundering so bad you was sure it was going to explode as you watched him strip. “Don’t be shy Sunwoo,” he tossed behind him as Sunwoo stifled a laugh. “I’m not shy I was just letting you prep her for me,” he adds with a wink. With the shirt fallen to the floor his fingers fumbled with his jeans.
“If you don’t want this just use your words,” he asks softly, “I don’t think she remembers how to use her words,” Sunwoo adds removing his T-shirt. “Is that right sweetheart?” Heechan says walking towards you, caging you against the wall.
“Maybe I should check to see if her tongue works,” he teases as he leans in pressing his lips to yours. While you stand there stunned into silence as your brain struggles to comprehend the situation. Your inner desire works for you as your wet muscles slides against his. Hands hitch up your dress as he finds the band of your pants, which he helps to slide down. He stands back letting his jeans and boxers to fall to the floor, your eyes fix on Sunwoo who is already stroking his length, having stripped himself from his clothes already.
Sunwoo steps into the shower turning it on, letting the water fall on his hair that has his curls drip. You watch as the drops fall down his body, soft moans escaping that hasn’t failed Heechans hearing. He steps in with Sunwoo letting the water attack his body also. Finding your Blueberry shower gel Donghun brought you for Christmas, he drizzles the gel over his chest and abs as he lather’s it with his hand. Biting his lip seductively that your sure if the panties wasn’t removed would be soaked by now.
Sunwoo reaches out to drag you into the shower before you could protest, the water is already flowing on your clothing as Sunwoo chuckled mischievously. “Oh no looks like your have to take those clothes off now,” Heechan chuckles. “I agree I’ll help,” Sunwoo growls as he pushes you against the shower wall, his fingers pulling the clothes from your body. Pressing himself against you, his breath in your ear as he ruts himself against your ass. Bending yourself to push your cheeks into him, letting his member rub against your folds to hear a moan escape. His hands stills your rebelling hips as he lets the gel from the bottle drip on your bare back.
His hands massaging you makes you feel heavenly in his touch. Heechan joins in with the fun, using your back as a canvas as he writes on the lathered bubbles covering you. They both would chuckle as they let themselves enjoy the moment of their boy like behaviour. “Really what are you five?” you scoff after they both get lost for a lengthy time. “Oh looks like she feels deprived,” Sunwoo scoffs. “She wants our hands elsewhere,” Heechan suggests and you know he’s winking in Sunwoo’s direction.
Your twisted to face them by Heechan, his deep grin upon his face as he drips more gel on your breasts. Sunwoo looking hungry, let’s his hands attack Heechan’s away as each one of them grab a breast. Kneedling them beneath there palms, Sunwoo tweaks your nipple earning a yelp.
Heechan removes the shower head letting the lathered bubbles rinse off. Laying it flat on your chest he drags it down your body towards your heat. The power of the jet hitting your core as you bite your lips to hold the moan threatening to escape. “Just cleaning earlier off you,” he chuckled with a wink and your reminded of Heechan’s Torturous ways. He presses the head harder against you, letting it rub against your folds, smiling when your lips betray your moans.
Sunwoo snatches the shower head from his friend. “Don’t let her cum yet,” he scolds him. “Plus she needs her bed hair washed too,” he says bringing you between them. Chest against your back Sunwoo let’s the water cascade down you. Heechan peppers kisses to your jaw as he’s cock is pressing against your body. The desire to be taken by both of them in the shower hits you, despite the pit of your stomach that your scared.
Sunwoo finishes washing your hair and to your surprise he turns the shower off. Heechan moves from you both, his eyes finding the linen closet as he finds three towels. He wraps the Red one around him letting it sit on his delicious waist as he holds the Blue one out for you to walk into. Wrapping the large towel around you, he passes the Lilac one to Sunwoo. He pulls you into his comforting arms as he pat drys you down.
Sunwoo comes into your focus, his towel also resting on his hip as you melt over his belly. The desire to kiss every inch including his tattoo hits you. The smaller Blue towel in his hand as he wraps it around your hair. “Their you go, perfect,” he says looking at you desire in his pupils.
He walks into your room finding your hair dryer as he pats the bed for you to sit so he can do your hair.
He slides behind you, his towel doing little to Separate his throbbing stiffness from pressing into your skin. Brushing your hair taking great care to brush through the knots he takes great care of your hair. Heechan pulls your vanity table chair towards him so he can sit and view. Thighs widened deliberately so you can view the muscles that he’s flexing as well as the hard member indent that’s holding up the towel.
Sunwoo finishes with his pampering after platting your hair as you view it in the mirror. “I love it,” you smile at him as he smiles into the reflection your viewing him from.
“We finished playing Sunwoo? because I don’t know about you but my cock’s hungry,” Heechan growls as your thighs tighten at his authority. “Maybe Suchan’s the one hungry,” Sunwoo coos. Heechan’s eye raise at you, “is that true sweetheart?“ he asks. You nod before walking on all fours towards the chair he’s sat upon. Your hands finding there way to the towel removing them from his body. Hands resting on his thighs as you grip the tip of him. Slowly licking his shaft from the bottom to the top As he hissed in frustration. “Sweetheart are you sure you want to play that game,” Heechan pre warned as your memory of his earlier in the day hit you. Wrapping your mouth around him he moans as you start a pace letting your tongue curl under his member. “Shit your correct she really is good at this,” Heechan whines at his friend as you increase your tempo.
Your rhythm is slowed when you feel fingers poking between your folds before slipping in to match. The pads of Sunwoo’s fingers curving to your sweet spot as they rub them deliciously that you clench around them. Your moans vibrate around Heechan as he’s grips tighten into your hair. Thighs trembling, he finds himself chasing his high a lot quicker then anticipated. “Shit,” he cry’s pulling you off him, “I want to cum in her,” he growls.
Sunwoo’s fingers slip from your core letting Heechan throw you over his shoulders gently swatting your ass. Sunwoo sinks into the bed as Heechan pouts, relentingly placing you down by the foot of the bed.
You crawl up Sunwoo as he licks his lips eyes blown. Hovering above his tip, letting yourself sink down his shaft earning Sunwoo’s teeth to clasp around his bottom lip tightly. When Sunwoo grows inpatient, his hands reach to your waist as he slightly slides you up off his member to slam you down to meet his uplifting thrust. “Fuck,” you cry beneath your moans as Sunwoo lightly chuckles that has you clench around him. Groans fall from his lip before repeating, with more speed and intensity.
“I wonder if she can handle both of us,” Heechan suggests. “What do you think Sweetheart do you thing you can?” He coos between stolen kisses before Sunwoo slams you down. You nod words refusing to form knowing that it be more then words your lose soon.
Sunwoo slows to almost stillness as Heechan pumps his member in your view.
He presses his hand on the small of your back as he slowly fucks into your core, his member sliding against Sunwoo’s that has his grip tightening. Your stretched beyond your imagination as they both still, letting you adjust. Heechan slowly starts, tears pooling at your eyes as the pain rips through you, he pauses instantly. Sunwoo notices your struggles as he presses his lips to yours letting your tongue help you to adjust. Heechan starts the process once more as Sunwoo sucks down your cry’s. When he thinks your ready he starts moving against Heechan, both their moans hitting the air, the combination delightful to your ears.
Sunwoo cups your breasts as they both start losing themselves fucking in to you as the feeling becomes more pleasurable. Your core instantly starts feeling the warmth as your orgasms washes into you. Their speed increasing that they relax without worry as they fuck you together. The feeling of them both feel like euphoria that your mind is almost fucked away. Grunts and groans spilling has your core tightening around both of them. “Fuck,” Sunwoo cry’s as he cums deep in you as Heechan speeds his assault while fucking Sunwoo’s Cum back in. “Cum for me sweetheart,” Heechan coos that has you release screams of their names into the air. You clench around them both Spuring Heechan into painting his load into you too, mixing both there essence. Heechan continues to fuck through his orgasm, your moans continuing as you struggle to come down from yours.
You all lay there still connected panting over each other, Sunwoo not complaining at being squashed beneath you both. Heechan rolls off to the side of the bed taking you with him as you both lay on your sides chuckling. Sunwoo flips to his side laughter falling from his lips too as he cups your face. “That was brilliant,” he says pressing his lips to you momentarily. “One of many threesomes to come,” Sunwoo adds as your arms slide around his waist to bring him closer. “Don’t leave me this time,” You whine as Sunwoo raises an eyebrow. “Well I have to go home at some point,” he scoffs “but I’ll stay tonight with you both,” he adds. “Oh I am loved,” Heechan teases as your phone bleeps. Heechan moves temporarily to grab the phone that you threw onto the floor earlier in the day. “It’s DongDong,” Heechan said passing it to you intrigued. “Oh that’s Suchans other boyfriend,” Sunwoo teased as you swatted him calling him a dick.
DongDong @11.32pm; Your silence tells me your ok or they’ve killed you.
If only he knew that in the bedroom department they very much had done.

Even Behind Your Mask Your Eyes Shine

Title: Even Behind Your Mask Your Eyes Shine
Paring: Chan x Reader
Genre: Fluff
Count: 724 Words
Writer: Whattodowithkpop [Lio]
Summary: A request from our wonderful 🌺
*****
I heave out a sigh as I sit in my chair, a small moment of resting before I had to go back to a busy schedule. It wasn't normally this busy, normally we had plenty of time to sit and rest and chat amongst ourselves. However, we had so many people who called in sick to their shifts, making our load double for half the amount of people. We were all exhausted and having to wear the masks over our noses made things a little more difficult.
The rest of the people on my shift joined me at sitting a short while after, heaving out sighs of their own as they groan from the exhaustion their bodies felt from the extra work they had inflicted on them.
"Why do they all have to call in on the same day?" One of my co workers asks, her irritation heard in the sharpness of her, normally, sweet tone.
"That's how it always seems to work, unfortunately." I comment, hoping she wouldn't say more and make me talk more than I wanted to.
The phone at our station rang, making her groan as she picked up the phone. Her voice was cheery as she chatted on the phone, that cheer washed away as soon as she hung up.
"They have something for you on the main floor." She tells me, no amusement in her voice, making me worried it was something to add to my stresses.
I groan as I stand from my chair. "I'll be back." I tell them as I make my way to the elevator to go to the main floor which was three floors below the floor I was stationed on.
Once the elevator doors close I rest my head against the wall of the elevator, resting my eyes as I listen to the pings of the elevator indicate we were passing floors on the way to the main floor. My stop comes all too soon as I trudge out of the elevator, making my way to the main information desk at the entrance of the building.
As I approach I greet the main desk, asking what they needed me for. They point to a figure, a figure that was very familiar for me and one that I had missed dearly. There stood my boyfriend, his jeans were a casual contrast to the black t shirt and black suit coat he wore on his torso. He wore a white mask over his nose as was mandatory for the building, but I could still see his shinning happy eyes crinkle from the overwhelming width of his smile underneath said mask. My heart jumped to my throat when I saw him, having missed him while he was busy with promotions and practice I had hardly seen him in a couple weeks.
I yell his name, running to him as I wrap my arms around his neck, his arms encasing my waist as he laughs his famous laugh.
"How are you, my love?" He asks, squeezing me in his embrace.
"I'm good now that you're here." I tell him as my voice was muffled from my face being buried in his neck.
He laughs his golden giggle. "I missed you."
"Not as much as I missed you." I tell him as I pull away enough to look into his eyes.
"I'll come get you when you get off, we can go grab a bite." He promises as his thumb rubs gentle circles into my back where his hands rested.
I nod, a wide smile stretching behind my mask. "That gives me something to look forward to."
"That's the idea." He winks with a laugh. "Okay, I won't keep you, I'll see you in a bit." He gives em one last squeeze before releasing me. He stays to wave me off until I can no longer see him, however his effect stayed with me as I worked the rest of my shift, the excitement of going on a date with him was enough to get me through the stressful shift I had ahead of me. However it was all worth it because when I saw him that night without our masks, he greeted me with a deep kiss which pushed all the stresses away from my mind.

Kinktober D12: Bed Head - Chan(A.C.E)

Kinktober 2021 Masterlist
ACE Masterlist
Pairing: Yuchan x Gender Neutral Reader
Genre: Smut
Summary: You promised Yuchan that you’d wake him up, only you had a nontraditional method in mind. Not that you were going to hear any complaints from him.
Warnings: Somnophilia, oral (m! receiving), subtle soft dom(reader) themes, teasing.
Word Count: 634
Since moving in with you something that Yuchan came to struggle with was waking up in the mornings, because he knew that meant he would have to leave your side soon. Occasionally you’d get up before him to do little things, just to let him know how much he meant to you and to lessen the sting of having to separate during the day. This morning was one such morning and today you had something extra special in mind.
The night before you’d let Yuchan know he wasn’t going to need his alarm today, that you’d wake him. Glancing at the clock again you checked that it was earlier than his usual time, just enough so that you would have enough time to carry out your plan.
Slipping under the blanket, your hands lightly trail up his thighs until they meet his morning wood through his boxers. Palm rubbing softly against it for a moment before your hands are moving to strip the thin layer between you and what you really wanted. If Yuchan didn’t wake up a melting mess beneath you then you wouldn’t be satisfied with what you had done this morning, and you knew the best way to get what you wanted would be with your mouth.
Flattening your tongue at the base of his cock you slowly drag it up, feeling him slowly start to harden more. Yuchan was already groaning low in his throat at the sensation and you’d barely gotten started. The sound so beautiful as it struck a chord in you, encouraging you to keep going. Lapping at his slit softly before wrapping your lips around his mushroom tip, tongue swirling for a moment before you slowly lower to take more of him into your mouth. The action blesses you with a louder moan, one that sounds breathless and almost like it’s about to break into a whimper.
You keep your pace slow for a while, taking your time to work him up while he sleeps. Knowing you have the time and hoping to fill the room with echoes of his sounds. Until you couldn’t hold out any longer, wanting to see his hazy blown out eyes on yours as his head’s in the clouds. So you do something you know for sure will wake him up, you take his whole cock down your throat since you got started this morning. Yuchan bolts up onto his elbows with a loud moan, eyes still groggy with sleep as they lock onto yours before dropping to your mouth taking his dick so skillfully. His hand moves to weave into your hair at the root, tugging slightly with a loud almost pitiful whimper as you slowly start to pull off, the response what you lived for in moments like this.
“Hands off until I say baby, unless you intend to go to work hard today.” You smirk at him, the string of spit that had connected your mouth to his cock breaking as your words come out.
“After I cum, you’ll let me return the favor right? I wanna make you cum so bad.” Yuchan’s voice is already lost as he falls back onto the bed again, you practically sucking his soul out of him at this point.
“We’ll see baby, we’ll see.” Knowing for a fact that you didn’t intend to give him that much satisfaction before he had to leave for work. You weren’t going to let him know that until after he behaved perfectly for you though, just like you weren’t intending to inform him about the scandalous pictures you planned to send him throughout his day at work. No, if he thought the only thing you had planned for today was this morning’s little wake up call then he was in for a huge surprise later.
