This is part two because there was so much K-Pop to sort through, and this part is going to cover the male artists whether groups or soloists. I do not expect you to enjoy every single one on this list, but I do think these songs are worth at least one listen.

In Case This Breaks Containment: Please understand this list was made for my mutuals and my mutuals only. Just because a song or artist is not on this list does not mean I think the song or artist is bad. Except for BTS, with all due respect I think their solo work outshines their group work by a margin which is why two of their members are in the solo area listing but there is no group song listed.

Ateez: They are very hard hitting and all their songs feel like cinematic experiences. My go to boy group, and I don't think there is a song of theirs I don't like.

Enhypen: Can I just say supernatural concept and be done with this section? Yeah, I think I will.

Taemin: Honestly I was just going to leave it at his name, but I cannot explain how sexy his voice is. The man is known as The Idol's Idol for a reason.

Tomorrow X Together or TXT: They honestly have a little bit of everything from more chipper music to darker music. My personal favorites are the moments where they sound like an actual band like Run Away, I Know I Love You, and Loser=Lover.

Stray Kids: A little grab bag of everything when it comes to the 'love yourself' message. If that isn't enough for my mutuals, not only do they have my seal of approval but they also have my mother's seal of approval so uh take that as what it is.

He’s very careful around you, Junhee likes to think of himself as the one that needs to protect you as your best friend. It’s a role that he takes very seriously and makes sure that if you’re ever in harm that he’s there.

Most of the time if the two of you bicker, Junhee will be the one to end it when he realises how childish you both sound. Junhee won’t lower his standards too much when he’s around you, he’ll still try and keep things mature, especially if there are other people around who are watching the two of you bicker too.

One of the best things about having Junhee is how good he is at comforting you and making sure that you don’t feel as if you’re alone. The moment he clocks that something isn’t right, Junhee won’t leave your side no matter how much you want to try and convince him that there’s nothing for him to worry about.

D ⇴ DISAGREEMENTS

It’s pretty rare for the two of you to disagree, but when you do, you always talk it through with one another to learn where you’ve gone wrong and make sure that it doesn’t happen again. Most of the time you’ll disagree over something silly, like who’s going to pay for something when you’re out, but for some reason it’s something that the two of you both feel quite passionate about to try and get your own way.

Together the two of you found yourselves thrown in at the deep end where you first met as there was a lot of new stuff around you. You relied on each other for support and comfort, especially during the early days of your training period as you both felt as if you’d been thrown in quite far too the deep end. Neither of you were sure whether you would have got through it all if it wasn’t for having the other there.

Junhee’s family were incredibly close to you, they supported you just like they supported Junhee and gave you any help that they needed too. They’d followed Junhee of course through his trainee days, but they also kept a very close eye on you too. Whenever your group hosted a concert, Junhee’s family would turn up to support you as they loved rooting for you and seeing just how well you were doing for yourself.

G ⇴ GETTING TOGETHER

Both of you had similar interests, so it made hanging out pretty easy as nine times out of ten you could agree on what it was that you wanted to do. Even if you had two options, all you had to do was flip a coin to decide as whether it landed on heads or tails, the both of you would still be happy with the outcome.

H ⇴ HABITS

The two of you had a habit of going off into your own little worlds. Junhee was a bit of a daydreamer anyway, but often when you were with others the two of you would separate from them too. There would often be two conversations at the table, everyone around the group and then you and Junhee all on your own.

Most of your embarrassing moments were around one another and so you liked to use them to make sure that you got your own ways with one another. If someone was being stubborn or saying no, all you had to do was threaten to post one of your inside jokes online and the other would quickly change their minds.

If there was ever a time when Junhee got jealous, you would always be able to tell as he would go very quiet in conversation. He wouldn’t really want to participate and pay attention to whoever was making him feel jealous as your best friend. Once the two of you were left alone, you would get him talking and make sure that Junhee didn’t bottle things up, even if he was feeling a little embarrassed about being jealous.

Junhee got a kick out of seeing you succeed, he absolutely supported you as much as you did him. He never got jealous of your achievements, Junhee was only ever proud of you and relieved to see that your career had taken off like you had dreamt it would when the two of you first started out together at work.

He loved how encouraging you always were, even when Junhee felt particularly rubbish. You never let him doubt himself when he was around you, you were relentless at times at trying to make sure that he didn’t lose confidence in himself. You knew first hand just how talented Junhee was and so you would drill it into him that he didn’t need to be so hard on himself, something that the boys all did to him too.

The two of you first met when you were trainees together, you were there for each other’s first days when you started at the company. As the newbies you found yourselves sticking together as you tried to figure out where everything was and get to know the other people that were around the company.

The moments that meant the most to Junhee were the ones when the two of you were working together. He loved whenever your team and his team were invited to be at a show together, or when your company organised events that meant that both of your groups were required so you could cheer each other on.

As the leader of the group, he felt bad asking the others questions, so instead Junhee often asked his questions to you instead, knowing that you would always be there to try and give him some sort of helpful answer.

He loved to celebrate it by looking through old photos and reminiscing over some of your many embarrassing outfit and hairstyles that the two of you had had during your many years as friends together.

Having seen more than most how hard Junhee had to work to debut, your support meant a lot to him. He knew that you had been there for day one and really understood just how hard he had worked to get to the position that he was in, which meant that your encouragement meant more than most others did.

When the two of you found yourselves with time off together, you’d usually head out to escape from the city for a while. Both of you encouraged the other to take a break for a little while whenever you could.

A/N: This is an idea I got from this exact photo actually. It’s a spin off of Icuras flying to close to the sun. Only she’s a candle and he’s all wax. I apologize for the angst. 🥺 ~Ju

*I didn’t fly too close to the sun by mistake. I knew it would burn me and I eagerly reached for it anyway.*

Jun let his wings stretch out slightly. Their wax feathers shining in the candle light. His light.

Jun glanced behind him to see the candles glowing flame atop it. The flame was the most beautiful creature he had seen. Even though he was wax and she was fire, he wanted her from the moment he saw her flaming form.

“You’ve been to see me a lot recently.” The flame said. Her voice gentle and her smile sweet.

Jun smiled up at her. The candle much higher and taller than him. Making his desire to hold her out of reach. He wouldn’t fly to her. It would kill him and leave her alone. And he wanted her so they could be together  forever. Their short version.

“I enjoy your company, sweetheart.” He said, his dark eyes roaming hers.

Her smile faded, a frown replacing it.

“Jun, we can’t.” She whispered. “You know what will happen.”

Jun let his own smile fade as he ran his fingers through his hair. “But I want you.” He said, his voice cracking. “I want everything about you no matter how dangerous.”

She let out something between a scoff and a sob. “Jun, flames die. All of them do. You’re made of wax and have wings. You can go wherever you want, live your life. You can’t throw it all away because of me.”

“That’s not what this is about.” Jun snapped, a little too harshly. He sighed and lowered his voice, his chest trying to release the tension he felt.

“I just want you. I’ve lived my life lonely and afraid of the sun. Then I met you and that all changed. Now I have something to live for even if it is just for a moment. And no matter what you say you love me too.”

She broke away from his gaze, sadness filling her eyes, making her hang her head.

“I will wait until the candle burns down and I can reach you. Then me and you will be together.” Jun said in desperation. Refusing to lose and live without the woman he had grown to love so desperately and deeply.

“Jun...” She warned, her voice breaking.

“Just let me love you.” He begged. Meeting her eyes again. “Even if it’s the last thing we do, let me just love you. Because that’s my choice.”

She stared at him. Emotion swimming in her eyes, her glowing form lighting up the space around them. She sighed and let a soft smile go across her lips;

“Okay.” She whispered, making Jun’s heart flutter in his chest.

The candle was down to Jun’s level now, his heart in his throat over the prospect of her being down to his level now.

She stared at him with sad eyes, “Jun, you don’t have to do this.” She said, wringing her hands nervously.

“I want to do this.” He countered, stepping a little closer. The heat from her stinging him a little, making his  wings ooze slightly.

“You know I want you too. But don’t throw away your life for a flame.” She reasoned, her mouth saying one thing but her eyes another.

“If I don’t have you then I have nothing.” He told her. Stepping even closer to her now.

He could feel his wax form melting a little more as he stood close to her, her hands resting on his chest as his hands rested on her arms. The feeling of her touch elating him.

“Jun...” She whispered against him, his nose brushing hers.

“It’ll be okay.” He whispered against her mouth.

She sighed before letting him close the gap between them. Her touch hot against him as she wrapped her arms around his neck and he pulled her closer by the waist.

Her lips burned against his but he couldn’t even feel it. He could feel his wax wings melt more and more the longer they stayed pressed against each other. He could feel the candle beneath them slowly sink lower and lower, his wax melting into it and her flame diminishing.

None of it mattered as his lips dragged against her neck greedily, making her let out a sigh against his shoulder. Their combination was so deadly for each other, but both of them were too lost in the moment to notice anything else. They melded together as one until they could no more. Until their loving flame, blew out.

*I knew I would burn. But I just had to inch a little closer.*
