Description: Neo finds you and you follow him down the rabbit hole of what the Matrix really is

You were under the bridge in the rain walking home from work after a long day only wanting to get home but you had to take a break from how exhausted you were and how much pain your body was in after working overtime for the last two weeks. "You look tired" you looked over your shoulder to see a man behind you with shades and in all black as you stared at each other shivering slightly due to being soaked in the rain before taking shelter under the bridge not expecting him to lay his trench coat over her as silence fell between the two of you while resting for the next fifteen minutes before handing the coat back and beginning to walk home only to be stopped not far from the bridge raising a brow at his words about the world being an illusion and that this world was called the Matrix, "You can stay here and remain in the illusion or you can come with me and see not just the real world but how deep the rabbit hole goes" you listened to his words before you nodded and caught up with him leading to the two of you in an abandoned house taking a small red pill seeing visions of the real world before suddenly waking up seeing that you were in a pod yelling as you are sucked out of the pod. You woke up finding yourself on a ship dried off and dressed seeing the same man above you before he said his name was Neo and you told him your name before he showed you the truth of the matrix which left you stunned as you looked at him before you fell down the rabbit hole as you met the others in on the ship including Trinity, Morpheus, Niobe, Link, Zee, and Seraph before learning the ropes in Zion and you immediately fit right in as you had already been a part of the rebellion the whole time than randomly being found and brought into the fold being taken under neo's wing that slowly blossomed into a romance amidst the chaos around the two of you in the rabbit hole but after a night of emotional love making the two of you promised to always find and stay with each other no matter what.

Nona Aisha Gaye (September 4, 1974) is a singer, former fashion model, and retired actress. The daughter of singer Marvin Gaye and maternal granddaughter of jazz musician Slim Gaillard, she began her career as a vocalist in the early 1990s. As an actress, she is known for her portrayal of Zee in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She provided the voice of the unnamed Hero Girl in The Polar Express.

Her debut album Love for the Future was released on Atlantic Records in October 1992. It featured the top-20 hit “I’m Overjoyed,” as well as the single “The Things That We All Do for Love.” She was named one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency in 1994 and became the new face of Armani.

She both collaborated with and dated singer-songwriter Prince. She recorded at least four songs with him. A duet, “1000 Hugs and Kisses” and solo track, “Snowman,” are thus far officially unreleased, but have managed to make their way into circulation amongst fans. Another duet, “Love Sign,” was released on the 1-800-NEW-FUNK compilation album in 1994, along with another track with no Prince contribution, “A Woman’s Gotta Have It.” She provided backing vocals on “We March” for Prince’s 1995 album The Gold Experience and on the title track to the Girl 6 soundtrack. Gaye has candidly admitted that during this time she had experienced a long, personal battle with drug abuse, which she successfully overcame in 1996. She starred in a Prince-produced European TV special called The Beautiful Experience.

She appeared alongside other artists to re-record and release her father’s single “What’s Going On” to benefit AIDS research. She began her acting career, debuting in Ali.

She worked with R. Kelly on two as-yet-unreleased singles, “Work It” and “Just Because,” which interpolates the Gap Band’s “Oops Up Side Your Head.” She was added to the cast of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

In 2008, three tracks by her appeared for sale at AmieStreet.com in EP form. Titled Language of Love, it contains the tracks “Quarter to Three” and “Midas Lover,” along with the title track. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

Over oude Schotse shit

Strandvakantie in Edinburgh

Begin deze maand vertoefde ik tot mijn verbazing in een zonovergoten Edinburgh. Niet het feit dat ik in de Schotse hoofdstad verbleef, verbaasde mij, dat was tenslotte ruim van tevoren gepland, maar dat het er suptropisch warm was, daar had ik niet op gerekend; dat bedenk je niet. 27 graden!

Gelukkig had ik voor vertrek, de baduitrusting staat standaard op de checklist, een zwembroek en een lichtgewicht badhanddoek tussen mijn poncho, regenbroek en zuidwester gepropt. Die kwamen nu mooi van pas. Mijn strandvakantie kon beginnen! Ik hoefde ik alleen nog maar een strand te vinden.

Na ampel speurwerk, Edinburgh is op z’n zacht gezegd geen echte badplaats, vond ik met behulp van Google Maps ergens langs de kustlijn van de Firth of Forth iets dat op een strandje leek. In Wardie Bay, tussen de golfbreker van Newhaven en die van Granton Harbour leek een strook zand zichtbaar. Omdat het op loopafstand lag, besloot ik erheen te gaan.

Wardie Bay

Bij aankomst bleek het grootste deel van Wardie bay ontoegankelijk. Een stijle zeedijk belemmerde de opgang. Ruim een kilometer verder dan gehoopt, vond ik uiteindelijk bij etablissement Old Chain Pier, van de oorspronkelijke pier was overigens niets meer zichtbaar, een doorgang. Om bij de zee te komen was nog wel het nodige klim- en klauterwetk vereist. Maar dat deerde niet. Ik wilde het strand op. Eenmaal onder aan de zeewering viel alles wat tegen. Het strand was amper dertig centimeter breed en het water ijzig koud.

Omdat ik het door alle inspanningen bloedverziekend heet had, nam ik een snel een plons, brrr, en maakte rechtsomkeer.

Terug in het vakantieverblijf bekeek ik de kaart nog eens aandachtig en vond waar het mis was gegaan: Ik had voor het strand nog ruim een kilometer verder moeten lopen. Het strand was geconcentreerd rond de pier van Granton.

Een strand met historie

De volgende dag liep ik de opgang bij de Old Chain Pier voorbij en volgde de kustwal richting Granton. Halverwege trof ik een interessant informatiebord met de titel: Fossils, Feathers and Flowers. Volgens het bord was het door mij gezochte stukje strand een paleontologische vindplaats met een rijke historie. Grote namen uit de natuurhistorie bezochten Wardie bay om er te verzamelen. Louis Agassiz, Hugh Miller en Ramsey H. Traquair deden er geweldige vondsten. Veelal goed geconserveerde fossielen van beenvissen en haaien. Ook is er een amfibie gevonden. Veel van die vondsten liggen nu in het National Museums Collection Centre in Granton. Op een steenworp van de vindplaats dus.

Een coproliet in matrix van een onbepaalde vis uit het Vroeg Carboon. In Wardie bay zijn dit de algemene fossielen.

Fossielen

Eenmaal op het strand kon ik het niet laten even in de voetsporen van Agassiz, Miller en Traquair te treden. Hoe vaak krijg je die kans. In een klein uurtje, ik had mazzel met het lage water, verzamelde ik een aantal fossielhoudende knollen. Precies zoals beschreven op het informatiebord. Helaas bevatten de knollen geen delen van een vissenskelet, dat zou wat zijn geweest, maar met de 340 miljoen jaar oude vissenpoep als inhoud ben ik al meer dan tevreden. Dergelijke vondsten maken een strandvakantie compleet.

Een voor Wardie beach typische Sideriet knol. Met daarin goed zichtbaar een coproliet. De coprolieten die in Wardie Bay gevonden worden kunnen van zoet en zoutwatervissen zijn. Gedurende het Vroeg Carboon moet er op de desbetreffende plek een zoetwatermeer zijn geweest dat zo nu en dan verbonden raakte met de zee, zodat marine fauna’s er toegang toe hadden.

De concentrische lagen, zoals goed zichtbaar in dit exemplaar zijn een typisch kenmerk van de vis coprolieten

Thuis heb ik een klomp doorgezaagd en gepolijst. Hierdoor werd het mogelijk de doorsnee van de coproliet te bestuderen. Onder de microscoop leverde dat interessante beelden op.

In de coproliet zijn duidelijke onverteerde resten zichtbaar. Wat dat durf ik niet met zekerheid te zeggen, maar het lijken wel graten.

Some Matrix/Ark AU headcanons that I didn't feel like drawing at this point, but wanted to share with you anyway:

The machines/overseers control the tek Dinosaurs. However since some of Neo's One programming bled over into Smith, which then bled into the Overseer system, it means that Neo can tame the tek Dinosaurs at cost of knocking himself out with the effort.

The crews are spread out across the Arks as followed: The Nebuchadnezzar is stuck on the Island, along with Mifune and Kid. The Logos, along with Lock, his support staff and two of the Zion Archivists are on Scorched Earth. The Mjolnar, along with Zee, and one of the other archivists are in the Aberration ark. The Vigilant is running around Ragnarok, while the Caduceus is on Valguero. Everyone will eventually meet up on Extinction!Earth.

Also, the rest of the Zion citizens are on Earth as well, in stasis. Once the King Titan is gone, they'll be able to revive them.

A fragment of Rockwell before his descent into madness is currently sharing a head with Agent Smith. Rockwell can also possess Smith for a short period of time. He pulled this off in front of Neo once, completely ruining Agent Smith's monologue. Neo was completely baffled by the change is personality.

Lock, despite all his bluster, is very fond of the Jerboas. He claims it's because they're great at letting them know about changes in the weather, but really he just has a soft spot for them. The jerboas like Lock too, he gives the best head scritches.

Also, while most of the Matrix survivors have ditched their uniforms, Lock still retains his uniform, despite the scorching heat.

Everyone on the Nebuchadnezzar was stunned, but estatic to see everyone back from the dead. Except for Cypher, who they immediately chased into the swamp. Surprisingly, despite being chomped on by the sarcos, and nibbled on by a large group of compys, he made it out of there and ended up joining forces with Agent Smith. He has a terror bird named Rocky as his mount.

On Aberration, most of the Mjolnar ran afoul of the hallucination mushrooms, except for Roland. However, he started to lose patience with them once they started running into the mushrooms for fun.

I would add a bunch of Superman's kids back into canon (bringing back Johnny Kirk, Gregor Nagy, N52 Kon, Jon Lane, Secundus, Chris and Cir-El)

I'd also split Kon into Kon-El and Conner (lex will be revealed to have been lying about the Johns retcon but he DID make a Conner at a later point. Conner will take more after YJA Conner

Secundus basically has Kon and Jon's insecurities dialed up to 1000

Cir and Mia will split and Mia becomes a villain because "Cir stole her life away"

Johny Kirk will be revealed to have been raised by superman robots so he'll have a chip on his shoulder about that and how Clark didn't really tell him everything and he'd greatly dislike how everyone else has powers

Gregor Nagy will be revealed to have been semi-alive due to his last thoughts being "I wish I had lived" but now he's in a state of pseudo-death and is made out of dust

Then I would make all of those characters interact.

I'd also bring back the AI Faora, Post-crisis Eradicator (post-development where he has David's menories) and make Eradicator Composite/Kem-L AI into an eradicator villain. AI Faora would accidentally do with David's wife what Eradicator did to David and so now they have to deal with that and David Connor's kids

Add an adaptation of the Maws intergang into recurring superman villains

Make Matrix, Comet, Blithe, Linda Danvers, and Twilight (the new god) into a polycule that are raising Ariella. Linda has the fire angel powers and Twilight uses her shadow powers in similar ways that the earth angels use their powers (wings)

Ar-Val will be revived from his stone death and he now teams up with Chris Kent - who after wandering through the phantom zone sees that Zod and Ursa named another kid with his original name

Van-Zee and Ak-Var and Pre-crisis rokyn survived the crisis due to them living in a planet that phased in between dimensions

Rokyn gets a whole focused arc on it that focuses mainly on Eradicator, Linda Danvers, and Clark/Kal. After this the original Kara Zor-El is brought back to life. this arc takes place an unspecified time in the past

Thara Ak-Var will be split into Thara Ak-Var (powers, friendship with Kara) and Thara Vol-Don (relationship with Chris, Thara Vol-Don and Chris are the same age)

Chris keeps a bit of Nightwing the god's powers but he and Thara Ak-Var aren't influenced by the gods anymore

Kathy Warren will be mentioned to have worked at Cadmus.

Jimmy Olsen, Kathy, and Kon live in the wild lands with the hairies

Mighto and H'el will also be brought back - kind of as an inversions to one another - H'El respects and loves Kal's kryptonian parents while Mighto loves the Kents so on days celebrating their life or mourning their death they'd not attack

Mighto gets his powers back

the unpowered linda clone made of 6 supergirl clones lives her own life and interacts with linda's friends and colleagues but also has her own group

A little legion made of a group of legion kids, xtc, the little legion from 5YL, and some more exist. This group interacts with the superfam but Jonathan Samuel kent is disillusioned with them (a different version of Jonathan Samuel Kent is on the team)

Aliens! Kara survives and lands on Earth, she has a golden age superman power set so she still uses her big guns

Judy/Equila lives with Kara again and gains her powers back. She interacts with XTC as well

A time traveling version of Martha appears who uses Pre-crisis gemworld aesthetic for her stuff

Speaking of gemworld that's now more in line with the pre-giffen issues

A lot of characters from adaptations get introduced into the comics

Just Ice League, Rubber team, and another team consisting of both black Lightnings, Juice, Sparky, Static, Soul Power, and Black Vulcan get series

Kral of Titan gets several backups in a superman title dealing with his revolution on Titan making it a better place

A Nightwing and Flamebird title; These alternate between focusing on Rokyn and focusing on New Krypton (which will be brought back). Rokyn mainly focuses on the Zees and Vals with some Don-El or Kandorian Lookalike Squad focus while New Krypton focuses on Zod, Chris, Thara, and others

Another story dealing with the growth of Kandor with various groups wanting to do their own thing (Red Sun camp, Yellow Sun camp, Bottle Camp, Yellow Bottle Camp, Jay-ree and Joenne Camp (Jay-ree and Joenne do not know about this))

Sensor Girl 2 joins the legion of super heroes, Sensor Girl 2 is a kryptonian descendant who only has the super senses and super Ventriloquism powers

Manhunter Laurel and non-manhunter Laurel coexist, Manhunter Laurel becoming an antihero who is usually seen around Dev-Em

Luthors series dealing with Lena Thorul, Val Colby, Lena Luthor II, Project Alien Farm, Lex Luthor, and the last survivor of Lexor, Lex Jr. Lex Jr joins superwatch but later travels to Earth and he has to deal with learning what type of person Lex is. Lex Jr also has a superhero name, Defender. Lex is also brought back to being an intergalactic menace with Lexor having been his only place as a hero

Lucy's son with Ron Troupe is also reintroduced

This poses a common but never dull question... Tell me what the first thing YOU would do if you became a writer at DC with no editorial backlash? What would you make canon? What story would you write? What would you retcon?

The Matrix Revolutions (2003)

Like its predecessor (which is actually the first half of one story, making the term “trilogy” not entirely accurate) The Matrix Revolutions doesn’t follow through on its potential, or that of the franchise as a whole. It’s more of an explosion of concepts The Wachowskis (who wrote and directed the film) wanted to bring to life. They thought it would be amazing to see it happen. They weren't wrong. Although the plot gets bogged down into a lot of pseudo-philosophical elements that I’m not sure make sense, the entertainment value is through the roof. In terms of spectacle and thrills, this film is hard to beat.

Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) is consuming The Matrix and has escaped into the real world through the body of Bane (Ian Bliss). Meanwhile, the machines' army is tunneling towards Zion, where Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) and the others make a desperate last stand. Their defenses may hold for a while but everyone knows it’s all up to Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) to save mankind.

Revolutions continues blurring the lines between programs and people when it introduces a “family” with a young “girl” named Sati (Tanveer K. Atwal) waiting in a subway station between the Matrix and the machine world. Huh? What? Do all programs start as children and grow up as their programs become more complicated? That seems illogical. What’s a bunch of code supposed to do when she leaves the digital world of The Matrix anyway? Is her program going inside one of those mechanical squid monsters? The scene pays off ultimately but also feels like an excuse to have the cool visual of an impossible train station while introducing the audience to the idea of the “machine world” - I always assumed the machines were either non-sentient or inside the Matrix but you know, whatever. We’ve already established that there are programs that can see the future so you’re willing to go along for the ride. One thing’s for sure, you can’t accuse the film of being inconsistent - things haven't been making sense since the end of the first movie. Most notably, Neo’s ability to stop machines dead in their tracks in the real world.

If your head hurts trying to untangle that puzzler, here come some nice, digestible elements for you to see. With Neo stuck in a coma, Morpheus and Trinity have to go inside The Matrix to rescue him. Meanwhile, those demoniac tunneling machines are headed for Zion. How to best defend against them? With mech suits, of course. There are few sights as profoundly cathartic and thrilling as Captain Mifune (Nathaniel Lees) in a giant suit of armor with guns for hands back-to-back with his fellow soldiers firing non-stop at Sentinels pouring out of holes. Bullets are flying everywhere. When ammunition runs low, someone needs to run in and resupply them. Wheeling around mechanical carcasses, dodging shrapnel, keeping an eye out for the Sentinels the soldiers don’t manage to take down - it’s pure adrenaline. All of these scenes are on the same level of intensity as that highway chase, or every other show-stopper we’ve seen in this series so far. It’s as cool as those long leather coats and sunglasses.

Like before, there are a lot of “best scenes” to choose from in Revolutions. How about that high-speed chase as Niobe and Morpheus pilot their ship toward Zion? or the methodical attack Zee (Nona Gate) and Charra (Rachel Blackman) lead against the diggers? That fight in the rain between Neo and Smith, or the “the stakes are way too real” confrontation between Bane/Smith, Trinity, and Neo? What is unfortunate is that all of these scenes focus on special effects or action. Character development is not a priority at all.

While we all thought we knew where this series was going and ultimately, it’s a missed opportunity that there is no "Matrix within the Matrix", as Neo’s “real-world” powers seemed to hint, what matters most about The Matrix Revolutions is that it entertains so consistently and thoroughly. Does this satisfyingly conclude the story? Kind of? Missed opportunities aside, it is memorable, action-packed and conclusive. Or is it? There are hints of more to come at the end, which makes The Matrix Resurrections not entirely unexpected, even if 18 years is an eternity. I’m curious to see what the Wachowskis have been cooking up. The filming for 'The Matrix Reloaded' begins. Aaliyah was casted a supporting role ("Zee") and this would have became Aaliyah's 3rd film on her movie resume, but sadly she passed away months later (August 2001) which forced production to halt; recasting Nona Gaye as her replacement.

Sadly, Aaliyah did not shoot enough scenes to be included in the final project (like she did for QOTD). Fans would petition for the production company to still use or even release Aaliyah's scenes, which the production company would create a tribute section for the DVD that included behind the scenes footage of Aaliyah in the set (not her actual scenes shot).

Aaliyah's Estate would only release one (1) still shot from the movie set. No other still shots from her work on the movie have been released in 20+ years; the photos are owned by Warner Brothers.

The film earned $91.7 million during its opening weekend and $134.3 million in its first four days, including the previews and surpassed Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones to have the highest Thursday opening. Aaliyah would have been proud to be apart of such a film so huge.

I can imagine the stunning outfit Aaliyah would have worn at this movie premiere and all the movie promos and photography stills fans would have been able to enjoy.

Zodiac was originally Z-823, who originally started off far deeper in the mines, as in some of the deepest parts possible. He was brought up by an older boy named Monochrome (who is actually his parent), who helped him advance to the higher parts of the mines, where he then met and became friends with Orion Pax and D-16, the third wheel if you will but still very close.

He got acquainted with everyone else in the sector, but didn’t really fit into their pre-established cliques, especially because he was a bit younger than everyone else and already preferred to keep to himself. So naturally, Orion kinda adopted him and thus he was accepted as their third oddball of the initial duo

Joined the Autobots initially, but was immediately torn seeing the fall of his friends and the rise of the factions, especially because he didn’t participate in the Iacon 5000 with them. So he thought they were both dead before they came back. He mourned Orion’s death but seconds later cheered as Megatron tore Sentinel to shreds.

As an autobot, he befriended, and eventually fell in love, with B-127.

After getting captured by the Decepticons as a way to lure in Optimus and Bee (and getting his left leg ripped off in the process), while having a back and forth between Megs, he realized feelings for Orion still lingered. There was a soft spot in there.

Bee came and saved him but ended up losing his voice box in the process.

While the two were recovering, Zee then decided he’d do anything to ensure he and Bee had a normal life. And so he switched sides and became a Deception in order to try and manipulate Megatron to ending the war using his feelings for Orion against him.

He ended up switching sides a few times, and it really hurt his relationship with Bee, who decided to break it off with Zee after watching him switch one too many times.

Zee DID NOT take it well, a Deception at the time, he went on a killing spree but accidentally ended up hurting Bee in the process, snapping him out of it. He then ran away from the war and was taken in by some neutrals (Big Mickey and Lil Minnie, aka @secretly-larry-daley’s ocs)

He then began recovering with them, and felt such gratitude for the neutrals, but didn’t like how much they had to hide and scurry with the war. So he took it upon himself to become their protector, their leader as a thank you for all their help

As the war ragged on, the Matrix left Optimus and went to Zee, who was helping those escaping the war. It’s not that Optimus be ya bad leader, but he wasn’t doing as much work as Zodiac to stop the war. To allow peace.

After receiving the Matrix he becomes known as Nova Prime, but later also becomes known as Nemesis Prime due to Decepticon propaganda. The two names give him an identity crisis.

He finally finds his own name for himself as Zodiac and builds himself up with his found family of neutrals, becoming his own unique leader rather than another Optimus. Destroying the pedestal he’d been put upon and just seen as one of his people
