On Children. 8-9
Story: 9
Acting: 10
Chemistry: ?
Comparable to: Black Mirror (uk)
This is basically a anthology series containing 5 episodes very similar to the show Black Mirror. (Each episode is a new story) It’s very well done and can get extremely creepy. It centers around a lot on how parents can control the lives of there kids in a fictional world.

liyue character name meanings
xiangling - fragrant bell; xiang means fragrant, ling means bell, as in the cute little bells she has on her outfit
zhongli* - bell of departure/hour of departure; zhong means bell (in the clock sense), li means departure
xiao* - demon/spirit; 'xiao' is a type of minor demon, like the species name. zhongli is not a good namer
ningguang - frozen light; ning means cold, frozen, icy, etc but it can also mean focused, guang means light, so her name is probably meant to illustrate that she is a very pragmatic leader
keqing - engrave clearly; ke means to engrave, either physically or mentally, and qing means clear, so her name is probably something along the lines of "she who makes an indelible mark"
chongyun - returning cloud; chong means returning. notably the usual reading of this character is zhong, which means heavy/serious, but when its read as chong it means repeat/again. yun is cloud
ganyu - sweet rain/willing rain; gan can mean either sweet or willing, depending on the character its paired with. yu means rain. given her personality sweet rain fits just fine, but i like to read it as the latter due to her history of devotion
beidou - big dipper
qiqi - seven seven; this is short for qiqi sishijiu, 7x7 = 49, referring to a chinese religious belief that it takes 49 days for a dead person to be reborn. this also refers to the associated mourning rites EDIT: i just looked this up apparently this originated from buddhism and made its way into chinese folk religion, so ig i should say this is a buddhist belief
xingqiu - good autumn; qiu means autumn, but xing is a character with a Lot of meanings such as capable, walking, etc etc. there might be some literary reference here because i vaguely recall a poem that had some sort of focus on these characters, but i can’t say for sure
xinyan - spicy flame. xin means spicy, yan means flame. it's pretty straightforward, but both of these also have religious meanings which makes it a bit [doubletake] *zhongli and xiao have a lot of other names and epithets that i’ll cover at another time.

Favorite “Wo Men De Ge” Performances, all groups and match-ups included.
No ranking. Just faves.
“Yan Hua Yi Leng | Fireworks Cool Easily”, by Liu Yuning x Xiao Gui (Wang Linkai)
“The rain drizzles softly. In my hometown, the trees and grass grow deep” -- completely overlooked this performance at first. it starts off kind of plain and then gets weirdly intense in the last 1min and now it won’t get out of my head. hmm
“Tian Xia You Qing Ren | Lovers In The World”, by Qin Shen Shen (Li Keqin x Zhou Shen)
“Love is one cycle after another, one reincarnation after another, no matter whether in the southeast or the northwest; love is part after part, thread after thread of rights and wrongs, rendering lovers forever unable to say ‘see you again’.”
legit shouldn’t even have tried to translate this literally but you know what this shit is about. You’ve seen it. It fucks things up.
“Carmen”, by Mei Nan Zi (Fei Yuqing x Li Keqin x Zhou Shen x Xu Weizhou)
“Men are but a pastime, nothing impressive.” ----- Four “handsome men” sing about love and men being pastimes and dance dorkily to music with a cabaret feel. what’s not to love?? also 2 of them didn’t get the memo that it’s not a performance in duos and cant stop showing off their duo’s chemistry. just kidding. unless
“Xin Yuan Yang Hu Die Meng + Shi Ren De Lü Tu | New Butterfly Dream + A Poet’s Journey“, by Yun Dan Feng Qing (Fei Yuqing x Ayanga)
“Should we understand at once, or should we pretend not to? Knowing a lot or knowing little, what is difficult is to know when to be satisfied.”
I had to listen to this again to remember why I liked it and mmm. fuck. mhm. yeah. good. Also, I cannot translate this. Sorry. I tried.
“Meng Xing Shi Fen | Dream to Awakening”, by Ren Xianqi x Xiao Gui (Wang Linkai)
“You’ve known from the start that sadness would be hard to avoid; why fall so deeply? Because love is always hard to give up, hard to part with... Why still care about that little bit of warmth? You have to know that sadness is always hard to avoid, in that moment from dream to awakening. There are some things you don’t have to ask now, and people you never have to wait for.”
Aside from it being super funny in context, this performance is also close to my heart because it’s one of my all. time. favorite. songs.
“Na Pian Hai + Ting Hai | That Sea + Listen to the Sea”, by Qin Shen Shen (Li Keqin x Zhou Shen)
“Let us forget that sea, let us start over again in the next life. Let us, time after time, life after life, never separate again”
This one gets the prize of the most seamless mixing of two songs into one.
“Xin Tai Ruan | Too Soft-Hearted”, by Jie Tou Pai Dang (Ren Xianqi x Liu Yuning)
“Falling in love is always easy, but getting along is too difficult. If it’s not yours, don’t force it anymore” -- hnnnnnnggg in the category “songs with amazing lyrics that are always relevant at some point and timelessly too good”.
“Xin Ru Dao Ge | Like A Knife To The Heart”, by Qin Shen Shen (Li Keqin x Zhou Shen)
“I’ve really loved for you, you’ve really left with him. All I could give, I gave it. I can take everything, except letting you know... that I feel like my heart has been pierced with a knife”
-- HAHA this is the worst translation I’m sry. Anyways, the musical arrangement is hard because there are no beats for almost the whole song and when you’re harmonising without some beats or rhythm it’s hell and yet. yet. this is the harmonising kings duo, baby. oh yeah.
“Ai Jiang Shan Geng Ai Mei Ren | Loving the Beauty More Than Power”, by Jie Tou Pai Dang (Ren Xianqi x Liu Yuning)
“Red flowers go with green leaves, of course. But who will stay beside me in this lifetime? Elusively, we come and go. The feelings from the past resurface; the lotus breaks but its threads last. I sigh quietly. The world’s happenings bears many changes”
-- this song is literally impossible to translate properly, sorry, but it is one of my all-time favorites. Despite the simplicity of the stage and the changes in the song’s arrangement, as far as I'm concerned, these two truly captured its spirit of the song *chef’s kiss
“Ling Yi Zhong Xiang Chou | Another Kind of Homesickness”, by Fei Yuqing x Li Keqin x Zhou Shen
“Those clouds and trees; do not block the road to that hometown” - or as I like to call it: the harmonising trinity of death.
that gesture FYQ does at the end, when he drops his hand? my soul went down with it
“Qiu Niao | Prisoner Bird”, by Yun Dan Feng Qing (Fei Yuqing x Ayanga)
“I am but a shadow that you can do without as you please, coldly watching the way you look when you lie” - I didn’t initially count this in my faves. But the more I listen to it, the more I love it and now I LOVE it.
“Piao Yang Guo Hai Lai Kan Ni | Crossing the Sea to See You”, by Zhou Hua Jian x Ayanga
“For you I spent half a year of savings, crossing the sea to see you”. hnnnnnngggggg best. version. of. this. song. I've heard.
“Ni De Rou Qing Wo Yong Yuan Bu Dong | I Will Never Understand Your Tenderness”, by Luo Qi x Liu Yuning
“I do not want to make love too blurry. If you love, then love clearly.” -- hhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggg.
“Wo Ai Ta | I Love Him”, by Zhou Shen x Xu Weizhou
“We once leaned on each others’ shoulders. Now, we’re each drifting away in the sea of people”. -- 1) Very good. 2) Screamo? 3) Some kind of Nightwish-like opera singing that sounds very good.
“Qi Shi Bu Xiang Zou | In Truth, I Don’t Want To Leave”, by Yi Jian Qing Xin (Zhou Hua Jian x Jiang Yi Qiao)
- “The truth is, I don’t want to leave, the truth is, I want to stay. Stay and accompany you every spring, summer, autumn and winter...” -- this song can never go bad. Zhou Shen clapping with that slightly emotional look on his face, like he’s this close to crying? That’s me.
“Qian Li Zhi Wai | Beyond A Thousand Miles”, by Yun Dan Feng Qing (Fei Yuqing x Ayanga)
I send you beyond a thousand miles away, you’re soundless in black and white...”
This is not even part of the competition, but...you know.
“Tian Ya | The End of the Earth”, by Jie Tou Pai Dang (Ren Xianqi x Liu Yuning)
....I’m not going to translate it. I’m not even sure I fully get it. But boy, it’s so good.
One of the reasons I watched the whole show, actually. damn. dammmn.
“Ye Lang Disco”, by Qin Shen Shen (Li Keqin x Zhou Shen)
“On your left, draw a dragon with me, on your right, draw a rainbow.” ASKALKSLKDJSLKDA. Joy. In its purest, silliest form.
Tumblr media
^bonus unsolicited qin shen shen pic, which illustrates how I feel about some of these performances. yup.

Tongdian: Grand Tutor太傅
[From Tongdian 20. Small text sections moved to the end as lettered end notes]
Grand Tutor太傅
The Grand Tutor is an ancient office[a]. In the time of King Cheng of Zhou, the Noble of Bi was Grand Tutor.
Han’s 1st Year of Empress Gao [187 BC], they began to set up the Grand Tutor, with golden seal and purple ribbon. In the beginning they employed Wang Ling, later it was rationalized. 8th Year [180 BC] they again set it up. Later it was rationalized. Emperor Ai’s 2nd Year of Yuanshou [1 BC], again set it up, its rank was above that of the Three Nobles. Emperor Ping used Kong Guang as it.
Later Han had the Grand Tutor as the High Noble, 1 person, in charge of the Way of Good, it was an irregular posting. Guangwu used Zhuo Mao as it. When he passed away, it was rationalized. Emperor Ming again used Deng Yu as it[b]. After that, each time an Emperor first was enthroned, they immediately set up a Grand Tutor, Recording the Affairs of the Highest Writers錄尚書事, when [the Grand Tutor] passed away, it was rationalized[c].
When Emperor Huan trod upon the throne, since he had already put on the prime clothes, he did not again set up a Tutor, but only ordered the Grand Commandant太尉, Hu Guang, and the Minister of Foot司徒, Zhao Jie, to Record the Affairs of the Highest Writers. Arriving at Emperor Ling, he again used Chen Fan as Grand Tutor, he and Guang took part in Recording the Affairs of the Highest Writers[d].
At the beginning of Wei, they set up a Grand Tutor, and used Zhong Yao as it[e].
During Jin and Song [the Grand Tutor had] gold insignia and purple ribbon, Thrice Rafted Cap of Advancing the Worthy, plated headwrap 介幘, scarlet court dress, and belt pendants of “mountain dark山玄[?]” jade.
Liang, Later Wei, Northern Qin, Later Zhou and Great Tang all had it.
[a]The Tutor傅 was to tutor them virtue and righteousness.
[b]Deng Yu, courtesy name Zhonghua, for is prime merit was designated Grand Tutor, when advancing he was to look eastward. Also Zhang Yu, coutesy name Boda, moved to Grand Tutor, and resided within in the Palace, when the great officials advanced to eat, after five days they as one returned to their offices. At court he saw special support, he and the Three Nobles had separate mats. Emperor Zhang, since Zhao Xi for three generations had been among the ranked, and he was the prime elder of state, therefore used hima s Grand Tutor. When Emperor He was enthroned, he was young and immature, and since Deng Biao had exalted fame, and Within the Seas had return to humaneness, he summoned him to be Grand Tutor. The hundred officials managed themselves by listening to him, in the extraordinariness of the grace and favour shown, nobody were comparable to him.
[c]For that reason the Broad Commentary says: “Similar to the righteousness of the ancient Supreme Steward managing themselves.”
[d]Chen Fan's aspiration and desire was to weed and hoe the eunuch upstarts, and so cleanse the foundational court. In the chaos of his generation, slander was victorious, and hence brought down his person. Hu Guang replaced him, he folded his hands in silence, and that was all.
[e]Zhong Yao, courtesy name Yuanchang, when he moved to Grand Tutor, he was ill. At the time Hua Xin was also ill due to his exalted age. At court audiences, both were made to drive their carriages to the upper hall to approach and sit. After that, when someone among the Three Nobles was ill, they thereupon considered it as the old precedent.

Hlo i m here again with a question in ko one 6 zhong wan jun will be there or not?
And after watching ko one react I understood that some questions were not given by them like what happened to wan jun. Is he alive or dead? Where is yan yan? Where is ling long.?
Many mysterious question they left in the ending.
Hi, I apologize for replying late. First of-I can't place my finger if Sam would return for KO One 6. We knew he wouldn't come ever again even during the shooting of Recall but boom! there he was in it! Since he retired from Spx & Comics, it seems unlikely once again but who knows🤷🏼‍♀️ As to what had happened to Wan Jun, you can a similar answer here.
KO One React had some plot holes like yhe Fake Tian Xin, and that bearded guy at the end. Yan Yan was discussed in KO One Remember but I forgot😃 I think... she left Zhan & Zhige to pursue smthng ( ・᷄ὢ・᷅ )

Womanizer / P.S Man. 7
Story: 7
Acting: 8
Chemistry: 10
Is this drama anywhere near perfect, no way far from it. It’s a cute cheesy, rather very predictable romcom that was made in 2010. Yes, I did cringe in a lot of places and thought the series should of been edited down (there’s 34 episodes) since it created a lot of unnecessary back and forth-ness, especially making the female lead’s character annoying. It eventually then turned on the heavy melodramatic plot towards the end which was not needed, but being an older drama I’ll let it slide. Nonetheless the drama still had its own unique charm which I appreciated. The kindergarten kids are adorable and the main leads have great chemistry together. I think if you’re a huge fan of romcoms you might not mind some of its faults and enjoy it more.

Disclaimer: Obviously these rankings are just based off of others’ opinions. I really liked “Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre” even though inseams the majority of people didn’t. Whatever show seems interesting to you, watch it! The majority of guzhuang dramas are made with delicacy and attention to detail. I’ve seen reviews complimenting some dramas with relatively lower ratings, so of course every drama has its fans. I would obviously suggest you all go and watch the top 5 if they sound interesting to you.

The Campaign of Liu Ji Part 2
Tumblr media
A continuation from this post! While this playthrough using Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV hasn’t been the most thrilling in terms of twists and turns, it has been interesting to try and weave something of a narrative through the events. The AI isn’t particularly adventurous and the variety of events which can take place when you’re playing an alternative history are quite limited. Nonetheless, the story progresses and we’re now at the point where it’s basically only me and Cao Cao left (the perennial Gongsun in the corner notwithstanding) and I have a rather tenuous grasp on Hanzhong. If you’d like to know how we got here, then the bullet point story follows below! It’s quite long.
Liu Biao died (suspiciously soon after the attempt on Liu Ji’s life) and Liu Cong is announced as his successor instead of Liu Qi—a machination of the Cai family to gain power over the region. Liu Qi flees to the southlands and encourages Ji to retake Jing from the Cai family. Liu Ji promises to return Jing to Liu Qi who protests that he has no designs on the region, only that it should go to someone worthy with the capability of restoring the Han and thwarting the villain Cao Cao.
In the meantime, Cao Cao had been having some success in his campaign against Ma Teng, having retaken Chang’an and pushed further into Liang Province. There were a number of stumbling blocks to Cao Cao’s success as it seemed as though Ma Teng had some agents within Cao Cao’s army, but the tides were finally turning. An important turning point in the conflict involved Han Sui defecting to Cao Cao. It seemed that Ma Teng’s forces would fall before long. It is said that Zhang Fei was seen in the vanguard of Cao Cao’s forces.
In the northeast, the forces of Gongsun Zan, who had co-existed with Cao Cao’s forces until now, were encouraged to submit. Although Gongsun Zan was unwilling to capitulate, one of Zan’s prefects allowed Cao Cao to enter and occupy one of the few cities within Zan’s possession. A brief conflict ensued afterwards in which the meager force of Gongsun Zan was forced to submit to Cao Cao. It is said that Guan Yu was spotted in the frontlines of this conflict.
While Cao Cao rushed to finish his conflicts on two sides, Liu Ji made a move on Jing. Before they even began the conflict, the advisors of Liu Ji penned countless copies of a letter originally written by Liu Qi, explaining that the province has been usurped by the Cai family, and that they were responsible for the death of Liu Biao. These letters were sent down the rivers of Jing province and seen by countless eyes. The forces of Liu Ji approached from four fronts: in the north, Huang Gai and Han Dang approached Xin Ye, Taishi Ci approached Jiangxia. In the east and south, Ling Cao and Ling Tong approached Changsha, and Guiyang was met with a force commanded by Zhu Huan. A large contingent of forces under Liu Cong deserted and joined with Liu Ji’s forces—including Yi Ji, Huang Zhong, and Wei Yan. In some cases, the gates to cities were opened by those inside and one-by-one the commanderies of the region fell to Liu Ji with limited bloodshed. The extended Cai family did not survive, and both Liu Cong and Liu Qi agreed to hand over Jing to Liu Ji in a very public ceremony. Liu Ji asked that Liu Qi continue to rule over Jing as his father had.
Having witnessed the fate of Jing, Shi Xie sent an envoy to Liu Ji’s forces to discuss vassalization, upon the understanding that they would still be permitted to govern Jiaozhi Province. Fearing that Cao Cao would set his sights on them at any moment, Liu Ji quickly agrees, on the condition that Shi Xie’s eldest son remains in the southlands as a guarantee of their submission. This is agreed upon, and Jiaozhi falls under the control of Liu Ji.
Nearby, Zhang Lu (who had been in conflict with Liu Zhang to little success) was being targeted by Cao Cao. Liu Ji sends Yi Ji and Huang Zhong to negotiate joining forces/vassalization while Cao Cao is yet preoccupied. Lu’s brother Zhang Wei tries to convince him to keep fighting. Yi Ji suggests that if Zhang Wei can defeat the elderly Huang Zhong in a duel in under thirty bouts then by all means they should keep fighting. But if Huang Zhong is victorious, they should consider submitting to Liu Ji. The stipulations are agreed upon and a document is written and signed. Huang Zhong defeats Zhang Wei in five rounds, who capitulates. Zhang Lu’s forces join Liu Ji.
At the same time, in response to Cao Cao’s proclamation that he was seeking talent throughout the land, both Lu Su and Xu Shu concocted a plan to locate and recruit both the Sleeping Dragon Zhuge Liang, and the Fledging Phoenix Pang Tong before Cao Cao could do so. Although it was a great loss to lose such capable advisors for a time, if it were possible to secure those remarkable talents, it could greatly tip the scales in their inevitable conflict with Cao Cao. After a period of over three months had passed, Lu Su returned to Liu Ji’s forces with Pang Tong after touring the riverlands together, and Xu Shu returned with Zhuge Liang. Of Zhuge Liang and Xu Shu, neither would reveal the details of the circumstances which led to Kongming agreeing to serve Liu Ji—but it is said that the two were closer than brothers. It is also believed that Kongming convinced Xu Shu to ignore a letter from Cao Cao which claimed that Xu Shu’s mother had been taken captive in Xuchang—thus enabling him to continue to serve Liu Ji.
Soon after, an advisor of Liu Zhang named Fa Zheng requested an audience with Liu Ji in order to establish an alliance against the forces of Cao Cao. He was greeted with great respect and admiration by Liu Ji, in the hopes of ingratiating himself with this new potential ally. Fa Zheng was appropriately impressed by this welcome, and he confessed that many secretly desired for Liu Ji to become the commander of their forces (but there was also a considerable contingent who sought to capitulate to Cao Cao). In order to accomplish this goal, Fa Zheng later explained to his lord Liu Zhang that it would be necessary for the forces of Liu Ji to station their forces in Chengdu in order to mount an offensive from there, as part of a three-pronged assault on Cao Cao’s force. Reluctantly, and under pressure, Liu Zhang agreed.
Pang Tong was largely responsible for the ploy which would enable the swift capture of Yi Province. In the intervening months, he, along with Lu Su, had been convincing the other lords of Yi Province of the great virtue of Lord Liu Ji, and how they would better serve the Han Empire supporting him. With the vast forces of Liu Ji now being led to Chengdu, the ministers of Liu Zhang (including his own son Liu Xun) strongly suggested that he surrender the province to Liu Ji for the safety and prosperity of the realm. Reluctant to do so, Liu Zhang took his own life rather than submit. His son then took command of his father’s forces, and submitted to Liu Ji, but there were yet a number of belligerent forces throughout the riverlands which had been loyal to Liu Zhang and had hoped for the support of Cao Cao instead.
A particularly troublesome pocket of resistance was led by Ma Chao, who had sought refuge under Liu Zhang after fleeing Cao Cao’s forces in Liang. But when he struggled to overcome the forces of Huang Zhong and Wei Yan, he agreed to meet with Liu Ji. Upon evaluating the character of Liu Ji, bearing witness to the forces at his command in Chengdu, and recognizing the opportunity to get back at Cao Cao, Ma Chao agreed to support Liu Ji in his campaign.
Although taking the riverlands had been in his mind for some time, Liu Ji was deeply affected by the suicide of his fellow imperial ancestor, Liu Zhang. He mourned his passing for some time and would often return to Chengdu when possible to pay respects. Having largely accomplished the goal of unifying the Yi, Jing, Jiaozhi, and Yang Provinces, many petitioned the imperial court to have Liu Ji recognized as the King of Yang—and there were also some who suggested that he should declare himself Emperor.
Cao Cao believed (or had convinced himself) that enabling Liu Ji’s forces to unify the Riverlands, the Southlands, and Jing Province was to make it easier for himself to conquer all three regions in one fell swoop, thereby unifying the realm. And so was only happy to infer upon him the rank of the King of Yang. After applying pressure on Liu Ji’s forces, they would attempt to enforce a fateful meeting between Liu Ji and the Emperor at Xuchang, in recognition of this title, which would bring an end to the conflict. As Liu Ji had been unable to father any children, if it were possible to capture of even kill Liu Ji, his forces would be confused without a clear successor, and would easily come under Cao Cao’s control. But Liu Ji’s advisors were vehemently opposed to the idea of sending Liu Ji into tiger’s den for any reason, fully cognizant of Cao Cao’s cunning.
I think we’re now on 216/217AD? Thereabouts.

You are put in charge of a koei warriors game that takes place from the years 190 to 220 what factions would you put in it and which characters would you put in each faction? (Max 20 characters for each faction)
I put too much time into this.
Within these parameters, its actually a lot easier than you might think. Since it’s a Han game instead of 3K it means I don’t have to think about characters who were mostly important later, or who had a lot of longevity. Instead I can focus on telling a pretty comprehensive story about Han’s collapse and not really worry about what comes after.
I’ve gone with a Wei, Wu, Shu, and Other structure because I think that works. 20 characters for each. A lot of people who didn’t make the cut only did so because characters who serve multiple factions are better for the narrative overall:

A lot of these OTHERs are thickened out by characters who will later end up in other factions (mostly Wei).
Yuan Shao has his circle (Lady Liu, Qu Yi, Tian Feng, Yuan Tan, Tadun, and Shen Pei) as well as Zhang He and Lady Zhen, giving him a sizable chunk of characters. Enough to tell a story with.
Liu Biao has Huang Zu, but also a lot of guys who will later wind up in Shu: Ma Liang, Ma Su, Yang Yi, Huo Jun, Pang Tong, Huang Zhong; arguably Zhuge Liang and Wei Yan as well. And at times you can even give him Gan Ning, Zhang Xiu, and Jia Xu. That’s a pretty big chunk of officers.
Dong Zhuo has Xu Rong, of course, And Lu Bu was a significant factor in the early Jian’an years. Of course Dong Zhuo’s group also has Jia Xu, Zhang Xiu, and Zhang Liao - and Xu Huang during the years of Li Jue’s regime.
Gongsun Zan and Guan Jing form the core of his faction, along with his ally Zhang Yan. They also have Liu Bei, Jian Yong, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun to thicken it out.
Yuan Shu and Yang Hong also have many of the Wu characters under them until the whole Zhong Dynasty thing. This includes Sun Jian, Sun Ce, Lady Wu, Sun Ben, Zhang Zhao, Zhou Yu, Lu Fan, Cheng Pu, Huang Gai, and Zhu Zhi. This gives him a significant group to play with.
Tao Qian would have his native officers like Zang Ba, Chen Deng, and Mi Fang; and at the most important part would be joined by Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, Jian Yong, Zhao Yun, Lady Gan, and Chen Dao. Those guys can really flesh a story out when you put them where they’re supposed to be.
Liu Yao’s group is small but includes people who will be important later: Taishi Ci, Yu Fan, Wang Lang, and Hua Xin.
Han Sui represents the Liang Warlords - enemies to Sun Jian, Dong Zhuo, and Cao Cao. He’s got Ma Chao, Ma Dai, and Pang De. I’d love to give him more but had to call it off somewhere.
All of this should allow for a pretty comprehensive story. Most major warlords are represented, with a handful of loyalists and officers who later served larger groups. The only major gap is Liu Zhang, but he mostly just sat on his hands until Liu Bei showed up. He wasn’t much of a factor in anyone else’s tale so we can gloss over him.
