What is Zion?

According to Moses 7:18, it is those who are One in Heart & Mind, Righteous, and with no Poor. We only have 3 examples of a Zion Society: Enoch's City, Melchizedek's Salem, and Post-Resurrection Lehite Society. In this dispensation, we have tried to set up this Society, but we have failed, and so we set up Zion in our own lives, in our homes

But, what does Zion look like? Hugh Nibley paints it in "Approaching Zion" as a rather bleak place. Only the basics, no rich foods, no fine clothing, and no dentists (seriously, he has a grudge against most jobs in general, but his thing about dentists is weird). I am a fan of Nibley, but I disagree with this view. In the Scriptures, we don't see Zion in bleakness but beauty. Streets of Gold, Delicious Foods, Gardens, Meadows, Theatres, and all sorts of things. Zion is allowed to be beautiful because Zionites will not cleave to cleave these things but still enjoy them. Everyone will be able to do what they desire to build it up, be it Academics, Agriculture, Medicine, Construction, or anything else.

In Kahleenos, there is a word: "Beth." It means delight. An example can be a good meal. It might taste delightful, but it also smells, looks, feels, and even sounds delightful as well. Such a meal is purely "beth." This is Zion, where every sense is delighted, where joy is found, where all things good & delightful are given, and gratitude abounds for them

Psalm 132:13-14

Every one of us belongs somewhere! We are citizens of a country or nation! So too do believers. We are citizens of Zion. Zion is the seat of the Lord! Zion, the elect of God! Zion! Zion, out of which, the Perfection of Beauty, God Shines Forth! We are not of this world declares John 15:19, we are of Zion, citizens of God’s kingdom. Though we live in this world, we are not ultimately subject to the authority but to the higher authority of the Master of the universe, God the Father, who has the final say, the last word and authority over our lives and destinies according to Proverbs 16:1.

For God is the Amen-Revelation 3:14.

Every believer is a Zionist chosen by the Father. We are of Zion, as temples of God according to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 bought at the cost of the blood of Jesus. Indeed, God the Father created our bodies, God the Son redeemed us, and God the Holy Spirit indwells us. This makes our body the very Zion of God. God chose us as His and made us His dwelling place.

When we trustingly submit to the Lord, He makes all our plans succeed by guiding us. The Father promises that those who remain faithful citizens of Zion will forever be called holy and have their names written in the Book of Life according to Isaiah 4:3.

The citizens of a nation are entitled to certain benefits and opportunities that are not accorded to everybody. As Zionists, there are numerous benefits and opportunities open to us, without limitations or conditions, one of which is recorded in Isaiah 33.

It starts by promising to destroy whatever deals treacherously against us and finishes by adding that as inhabitants of Zion, we shall not say we are sick. That even the most infirm and disabled of the people of Zion will have their share of every benefit; the lame shall seize the prey; even the sick and the diseased shall throw aside their infirmities and recover strength enough to hasten to the general plunder.

Christ, the Messiah, is the stone of stumbling to man in Zion: many in Zion are still stumbling because they still don’t know and recognise the Messiah. Therefore, they will be offended by him and reject him, and think it would be reproachful to trust in him for salvation.

As Zionists, all the oppressed and lonely people can take comfort from their role as “children of Zion,” a term evocative of God’s relational tenderness towards His own.

Christ as the Cornerstone of the spiritual Zion gives hope to us all, including the poor, the weak, and the hungry today. God cares deeply, as a Father cares for His children.

Isaiah 40:9 calls us the Zionite that brings good tidings because the duty of announcing and celebrating the glad tidings of the gospel, belongs to every believer.

Every citizen of Zion has come to Mount Zion according to Hebrews 12:22-24, meaning that we have access to the spiritual realm as we participate in worship with innumerable angels and with the great assembly of believers who have died in faith and are already in God’s presence.

Every citizen of Zion goes from strength to strength—They proceed from one degree of grace to another, gaining divine virtue through all the steps of their probation. You are of Zion!

PRAYER: Father, I am blessed and hopeful that I belong to Zion and as a Zionist, I declare it is well with me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
