i thought it would be fun to put all the little scenes i've animated from the circumnavigators of celestial bodies into one post, even if the fic for the last one isn't up yet

Inspired by some 1950s Christmas card illustrations I stumbled across - 1, 2 (Katara's dress is based on some at the 2nd link).
I'm still struggling with art block of a sort (I'm drawing lots, but things are just not turning out the way I want), so I thought it might be fun to try to replicate a look similar to the retro cards but with Zuko and Katara. I didn't quite get there, but I enjoyed the challenge.

It’s a joy to have found this coloring book! Thank you so much to @zutaracoloringbook and all the wonderful artists who worked on it! This piece is by artcraawl on Instagram!
Figuring out all the small details on this piece took me hours, but it was a wonderful time. I hope to color more pages!
It’s absolutely incredible that Zutara fans came together and made a 56 page coloring book for free. And it can be downloaded for free too! I started coloring the cover and I’m having a blast.
There was an old legend about the traditional Southern Water Tribe engagement necklaces, Katara could remember every beat of the story as her Gran-Gran had told it:
The idea of Druk knocking over a Christmas Tree was actually the very first idea I ever had for a Druk comic. But I thought of it in January, so I had to wait almost a full year before it would make sense to make it as a comic. But the holiday season is finally back!
I thought about trying to turn the tree into some sort of Solstice Tree so it could fit in actual AtLA world but it felt forced, so instead here’s a modern AU of Fire Noodle.
Happy holidays everyone!

Yo, the ATLA and Zutara fandom is sleeping on Children of Blood and Bone (the 1st book in a YA fantasy trilogy) and it is a shame! It’s so good and it has an enemies to lovers story very very similar to Zutara. The author even said she took inspiration from ATLA! Read it! It’s getting a movie!
The book, based in West African mythology, follows Zélie Adebola as she attempts to restore magic to the kingdom of Orïsha. Her and people like her who have the potential to do magic have been oppressed by the monarchy.
Prince Inan is tasked with tracking her down, killing her and killing magic. But he develops magic of his own, which he resents, and a telepathic link to Zélie.
On their journey, Inan starts to wonder is magic evil or is his father, the king, actually the bad guy?
