Headcanon:

In the time of Flesh necrontyr got some night clubs (totally different for royals and commoners but this is another story).

Music trends and whole vibes was very different from dynasty to dynasty.

Maybe Ithakas had light pop and dance/electro pop and most common activity was drinking something, sitting comfortably and chatting with your besties, occasionally taking breaks to actually dance. The whole place painted in pastel tones with occasional bright colored highlights and has high fashion glass and mirror statues, colorful light reflects and scatters in bizarre pattern. Whimsy + comfortable, never overwhelming. Vip cabins full of colorful cushions and exquisite drinks, there's chill lo-fi beats there so you're kinda in your own private mini club. Great for flirting or gossiping the living shit out of your court.

And then there's night club in Ogdobekh. Heavy techno with the mix of hardbass blasting though flashing lasers and smoke so hard that you can feel your guts and soul mixing together with every beat. Drinks are rare occasion, there's separate bar section bc alcohol here is strong and after one glass you're already lowkey blasted and can't dance those wild dances properly.

Vip cabins provide sensual detox - it's chill, dark and quiet there. No one here usually wants to load their head with secrets after experiencing intense music and loading 6 tequilas. There's only room for rest here, then going back to grind or leaving home, no third option.

And I think Djoseras would die in Ogdobekh nightclub. Zultanekh would die in Ithakas club too, of boredom

The Necrons Play Amogus

We only had Zultanekh and Lysikor this time, but some highlights include:

Zultanekh getting two concubines IMMEDIATELY, like the chad he is

"I assure you, Zultanekh is not a role. He is the entire damned stage play. Or perhaps an opera, with how loud he is."

"Zultanekh swears on his honor that he is not a sussy"

"Jesus died for your sins!" "Then I should be committing many, many more to make up for the loss."

Lysikor getting up to get a drink and LITERALLY getting murdered for it (this is why we keep the baja blast in the dimensional oubliette)

Lysikor getting imposter once and immediately fucking it up in front of active security cameras

Zultanekh talking shit about the previous two bullet points and Lysikor purposefully voting him into the lava

"He is as docile as a pet scarab!" "I advise you to sleep with one eye open, you most disagreeable motherfucker."

Lysikor getting engineer enough times to make a game of venting in front of Zultanekh

"Lysikor, I know you are a noble, but you lie like a Phaeron"

"Lysikor, do you consider backstabbing fun?"

Zultanekh's ship is called the Philotomokh which sounds very similar to the Greek word philotimo literally translated as "love of honor" which in addition to individual honor can also describe the pursuit of the betterment of a community and huh doesn't that all just fit. Zultanekh is Best Boy, I rest my case your honor

I bet Zultanekh didn't actually care that Oltyx tried to bite that pilot's face off, like, did not remotely give a shit about it. There's no clear depiction of the immediate aftermath of that scene because Oltyx was literally running on autopilot ('so he had activated one of his archived court protocols, designed to write bland but believable answers into his vocal buffer...') - but from how Zultanekh treated him before and after, I think he was neither surprised nor judging Oltyx badly for it, you know? He knew Oltyx was Flayer-afflicted from the beginning ('I gather you keep strange habits'). Just about all of Oltyx's people did, and that didn't stop Zultanekh keeping faith to his cause. If anything, Zultanekh was probably just waiting for Oltyx to come to terms with it and do anything other than destroy himself, and look at what that boy did 😭

God the fucking lengths to which Zultanekh went to keep him alive. That whole journey was of no material benefit to the Ogdobekh, and he still did it, because he was a prince of his word. If only Oltyx could've confided in him more throughout Reign - it probably hurt Zultanekh more that Oltyx kept distrusting him, rather than anything to do with the Flayer Curse. This kid simply could not bring himself to accept that Zultanekh was acting in direct inheritance of Djoseras's love and trust for him, nor that he was more loved than he gave credit for, because he fundamentally couldn't love himself

Heyo folks! So here's a list of this for another fic I am going to workon. I am writing here the rules so I don't forget and I would love to see people give me their opinions on what I can add! This time it IS a crossover series with Cuthulhu Mythos! (Mostly lovecraft lore and some other writer's take on it sprinkled in. No Other gods vs Great Old Ones nonsense though that was a stupid adition to Mythos I will DIE on this hill)

Our skele bois and everyone really are going to learn the HARD way there are being infinitely scarier and powerful than measely star parasites or amalgamation of emotions :D

This came after a delightful conversarion with a friend in space battle. So some heads ups;

Other gods or Outer Gods as people know them are the undisputed strongest things for what I hope obvious reasons. Put an unshattered C'tan or a chaos god in front of Nyarlathotep and they'll beg for their life

Azathoth DID NOT create 40k or any universe. Its a fan theory. It was Yog-Sothoth ;)

The races such as Elder Things and Great Race of Yith are among the oldest and most advanced (they are basically the Xeelee's since thats what they are meant to be in OG mythos Lovecraft was just shit at math and science) creatures in the verse. Remember how Mep'het'Ran bitched to the Necrontyr about how they also fought with the cruel old ones and lost and turned into celestial fart gases...well he didn't TECHNICALLY lie.

It just wasn't the 'Old Ones' Necrontyr were thinking XD (for real though in the ONLY alliance these two races ever forged they kicked the shit out of C'tan and destroyed their OG bodies) for these races, species in 40k galaxy might as well be monkeyd hitting each other with sticks. The difference between them are that great.

That war happened not 200 million year into the big bang btw. Yeah...when the first stars were babies. Elder Things and Yith are that old...they might be that old in OG mythos too now that I think about it 🤔

Remember Nihilakh Yyth seer? Yeah that thing is another unfortunate race Yith used as bodies and left long before necrons ever came...unfortunately the inhabitation caused the race to develop clairvoyance. And we all know what happened to the poor bastards.

The Elder things came to earth was basically an amish community got tired of ultra advanced tech XD they are the reason earth has life. They came waayyy before the billion year mark Lovecraft gives. First one celled organisms on earth appeard around 3.7 billion years ago. Yeah.

Randolph Carter is/was a friend of Big E's and still kicking in 40k with his silver key. Fully living in dreamlands with his friends and boy-ahem eternal headache Nyarlathotep though. He and Trazyn will become GOOD friends...maybe Orikan too. Tech wizardry isn't just belong to necrons after all.

Magic other than warp exists and it is both intransically bound with tech and seperate enough. Mostly safe too if you manage to keep your head while learning.

Assume all weird creatures in mythos exist.

Deep Ones have their own planet and allied with Big E around 2020s. They have full on STCs under their planet and still can build and understand DAOT tech, they are just smart enough to hide it really well. And since all of them are immortal most of the ones on the planet (pure and hybrids both) are over 30.000 years old. And remember EVERYTHING. Rest of the Imperium thinks they are filfhy mutants to be avoided. Deep Ones and hybrids mostly bleakly amused seeing most were alive in 1920s America how humanity seems to abandon one type of racism then immediatly embracing another.

Lost 2 Primarchs taken a worship of the Other Gods...this is magnetitudes more dire than chaos worship.

Orikan, Trazyn and Phillias will meet an interesting human who knows more than she ever should...if they are nice to her she might even draw them when they were necrontyr. She A LOT to say about their relationship during flesh times...revelations might or might not cause eternal sense to loss , pain and horror to what was lost...and maybe hope. 🤷‍♀️ (yes during Trazyn's bubble confinement)

Except Nyarlathotep to pop on Song of Oblivion and taunt Szerakh. Randoph migh or might not put the fear of actual gods in Szeras too

Anrakyr and Zulthanekh (don't ask me how they will ever meet I am just taken by the idea of their friendship because of ghostinthegalleries) will get a history lesson of the galaxy from Nyarlathotep.

Shoggoths are allies of humanity. As they lived only the really intelligent and sentient ones survived and after their ACTUAL discovery humanity (DAOT) have been not only nice to them but give them human rights Elder Thing colony never thought of. Surviving ones are fiercely loyal to humanity but few know their existance.... for obvious reasons. They are a hard counter for tyranids and help preserve Big E.

Big E was aware of other gods and there was no stopping them. Thankfully the only one who was invested into the galaxy was Nyarlathotep and Big E just pointed out sitting back and watching the inevitable clusterfucks all races cause would be infinitely more entertaining. (Randoph also threathened Nyarlathotep with sleeping on couch in Ilek-Vad XD)

Obyron and Zahndrekh? With this level of care and protection from Obyron, which was there in him even in necrontyr era and trust and love from Zahndrekh - they're husbands. Old men yaoi even. Their book has strong theme of love and Obyron was even trolled by Setekh about his feeling to Zahndrekh

Orikan and Trazyn? Divorced couple. Bitches got divorced 3 times in a row, made it everyone's problem and still won't leave each other alone.

Oltyx and Yenekh. Oltyx simping for Yenekh so hard, describes him in first book as beautiful with impressive curves, admires his achievements bc he's a literal war legend and still a hero to Oltyx. Oltyx arranged a trap for orks so his beloved friend Yenekh could join in a good massacre.

Djoseras and Zultanekh. LITERAL ENEMIES TO LOVERS! Their dynasties had war for 300 years where these two competed with each other in wits and military tactics. Silent King forced truce between them, but they still was in contact with each other even after peace treaty. Djoseras asked Zultanekh for help when humans were about to blow up his planet and Zultanekh answered!

"We were close, in our way" and "But will I pledge myself to Djoseras? Yes, with ease" literal quotes from Zultanekh

And all this from books. So yeah, necrons are gay. Always was
