DC x DP Prompt

So I've read 2 or 3 stories where Phantom is a separate being that got fused with Danny in the portal incident.

I want one of those, but amnesia!Jason is Phantom and on top of protecting Amity from it's canon ghostly rogues, they've got to learn to inhabit one body and figure out "Phantom's" mysterious past together.

Being fused with a living person keeps Jason from falling into obsessive death madness. It also keeps Danny alive despite how fried his heart was in the portal.

I am waaaaaaaaay jumping the gun after reading Calix’s latest chapter of Robin’s Egg.

However! I really want a tiny Danny (too young and mixed between Fenton and Phantom, so he looks like Damian) to pop out of his core mid bad-guy fight.

Most of the Bat-Fam would be like... OMFG, the egg really hatched into a person. It wasn’t just a rock.... *too stunned to exist*

Damian all ‘what do I do with this?’

But Dick is on the ball, just... “First nephew/niece! I need to be the best Uncle ever.”

Ugh. My heart.

Curing Pit-Madness

I know we as a phandom love bomb-ass Danny coming in to the DCU and healing/fixing Jason's Pit Madness.

But Danny, as much as I love the boy, is pretty oblivious. Do you really think he'd recognize by looking at a person or ghost what's wrong with them? Because I dont. If it's too cold, he can't recognize a ghost directly in front of him.

I think itd make more sense if all Danny showing up did was let the BatFam know that ectoplasm existed.

One of them would realize ectoplasm and Lazarus pits were very similar.

Tim would mad scientist up some sort of invention for Jason. Maybe it'd give him ambient ectoplasm, maybe it would purify the pit water inside him, I don't know.

But Tim saving Jasons sanity? A perfect way to get rid of any lingering tension between Hood and his Replacement.

DP x DC Ancient of Space: Lair

I’ve seen Danny being the ancient of space pop up a few times. A lot of it interprets that as the ancient of outer space, but I propose he has dominion pver the concept of physical space. Clockwork has time, Danny would have space, making them the counterparts for each other

So, imagine if you will, Danny only recently coming into his spatial powers retreating to his lair in the Ghost Zone. It’s too dangerous to have uncontrolled spatial distortions just randomly appearing in the human world. 

His lair is an extension of himself. His spatial powers extend not just to himself, but to his lair. It connects to liminal spaces. Walking through school hallways after hours? One of those doors leads to his lair. All night diner with flickering florescent lights and you’re the only customer? Carefull going to the bathroom or you might just end up somewhere else. Closed down building, or even buildings that never were there. Sometimes at just the right time, places just exsist, and they all lead to Danny’s lair. Inside is an MC Escher esque labyrinth of rooms, hallways, tunnels, ever shifting as their connections to the human world alter and shift.

Enter the Batfam

I pick Tim for this. He sees a building he’s never seen before on a street he’s very familiar with. He checks the address. 

“Hey Oracle? Is there a 147 Becker street?”

“No, Becker street stops at 144 before merging into Roosevelt.”

“That’s what I thought, but I’m there, I see it right in front of me.”

“What?”

Tim is too curious for his own good, and probably a bit sleep deprived. He enters the building only to get turned around and not be able to find where he came in from. It wouldn’t be so concerning if the building didn’t seem to go on and on. 

Next thing we know, Danny finds Red Robin wandering around, completely lost in his lair. The tricky part is getting him out around the right area and time, because space and time are connected, and when one is weird, so is the other. They need to take the scenic route, much to the impatience of Red Robin. He eventually gets him close enough: Bloodhaven. Tim can always get a ride back from Dick, then he looks at his watch. 

It’s only been 30 minutes. He had been wandering for hours, yet only 30 minutes had passed. 

Que confusion and shenanigans when somehow, yet more Bats wander into Danny’s lair

We All Float Here

Danny never escaped from Circus Gothica and was trapped under the control of another two generations of Showenhowers.

In the chaos of the death of the Flying Graysons, the ghost-controlling scepter finally broke

Left alone in a world without any of his loved ones, what was Danny to do? Adopt the newly orphaned Dick Grayson, of course.

Tim went mad scientist during the search for Batman and he cloned himself just in case he died. The objective was to retain all knowledge even if the original was dead, so he wore a chip that would feed knowledge to the clone that was in stasis.

All of this was a contingency for Ra's interest and the LOA's meddling. However, it so happened that Phantom was launched across universes and he landed by complete coincidence inside the gestating clone. The overshadowing was so shocking that it put Phantom to sleep for a couple of weeks. When he woke up, the pod sprang open and Danny fell down to the ground face first. Turns out Tim's heart flatlined for a couple of seconds while he was trapped with the LOA, and that was enough for the clone to be released and the chip connection to be cut.

Now Danny, naked and completely bewildered, is having contrasting information in his head about himself. He's Danny Fenton, half-ghost screw up, and he is at the same time Tim Drake, genius superhero that just died at the hands of Ra's. He has to investigate how to go back to his own world and he has to look into Bruce's disappearance to bring him back.

The whole thing is a literal headache, and Danny settles for using the gadgets and clothes Tim had left for him.

At least he knew that Tim Drake had left him a mission.

I planned on writing an Alicia slice-of-life story for Side Hoes Week, but I didn’t get it written in time. But! I got the drawing done enough to call it good :)

Danny always knew there was something wrong with him even before the accident.

He had memories that he couldn't place. Fuzzy scattered ones of him in middle and high school even when he was still taking elementary classes. As a kid he, of course, thought he had superpowers or was receiving psychic visions of the future.

It wasn't until the after the accident that he knew the truth. More specifically, it was when he met Dani.

Memories of being surrounded by people in white coats surfaced in the days following. They would conduct "tests" in which Danny would be forced to solve a puzzle or figure out the answer to something before the timer went off. It always ended the same. He always failed. It wasn't because he was stupid or anything, it was because he was a tiny child who was scared and wanted his mommy and daddy, even if he didn't even know what they would look like.

So all he would do was wail as the scientists stewed in thier frustration. Thier artificial "Robin" was labeled a failure.

Clockwork smiled as the door to the Clocktower slammed open. "Right on time."

"You stole me!" Phantom accused, tears in his eyes, "You took me from my original dimension!"

Clockwork nodded, "Yes."

"Why?!"

In lieu of an answer the time god opened a portal, "And now its time for you to leave."

Phantom snarled, fighting against the sudden suction pulling him into the portal, "This isn't over!" He managed to bite out just before he was completely pulled in.

"I know."

The next thing Danny knows is that he is floating high in the sky of a city he knew instinctually was Gotham. The memories from his...original? His template? Were now fully available to him and told him with absolute clarity that he should not stay shining up in the Gotham sky at night unless he wanted a visit from the big bad bat.

He didn't want to test his luck in case he wasn't a fan of clones. Especially since he was a clone of his son.

Thus begins Danny's DC world tour as he searches to the truth behind his creation and attempts in vain to return home all while trying and failing to dodge all the people who are familiar with his template.

(Danny can be a clone of any of the Robins and you can play with the ages all you like thanks to time travel and fanfiction)

DC Prompt- The Ghost Gabber

When Danny heard his parents made a device that interprets the “language of ghosts,” Danny thought they made a device that could translate dead languages to English, or something.

He didn’t realize they had invented something that could pick up on communications from a ghost’s core.

He really didn’t expect the thing to start spewing his thoughts to the world.

A Danny-Didn’t-Know-He-Left-A Corpse AU

A year after their portal started working, Drs. Fenton had some scheduled maintenance planned down in the lab. It was nothing major. They needed to check the mounting for their weapons, make sure their equipment was still calibrated, and do a few checks of the portal. There wasn’t a lot to do for the portal; they needed to check a few bolts and lube an internal engine- not a big deal.

However, they did need to shut the portal off to get started on their work. 

The first thing they noticed was the smell.
