Aunt Alicia called her family to visit her in the isolated woodland town. For a whole week, they would stay there. Closed all in Amity Park, and a shield around the portal so Ghost can't leave it,... They should have built that first before the portal. But we weren't even sure that Ghost really would come.
As the Fenton were there, he had a boy with her, a child of an old friend of hers. He calls him Respawn; he was a clone. And she needed her family's help with it; she has no idea how to raise a child. And Deathstroke kind of failed most times. And he asked her for it; he will visit once a week.
Respawn has no idea how he was named Steve, after Steve Rogers from the comics. It turns out his new mom and aunt were fans of the comics and thought first that his dad was the Super Soldier of the US. But she learned he was a mercenary, and now Alicia wants to have a little Captain America! For the first time, a family will have a hero! Wait... Alicia:" Do you even want to be a hero?" Respawn:" ... sounds like fun?" Maddie:" Yes! First time, a hero!"
+
Danny wasn't sure what to say. Danny:" But..." Jack:" We know that you tried your hardest to play Hero as Phantom Danny. But well, we are proud of the crimes you committed while doing it. But do it outside of Amity Park, please."
Respawn likes his cousins too, Uncle? Jack is pretty funny. And Danny likes to fight too! And he didn't fight like a hero—too brutal. No wonder the rest thought he was a villain. And Jazz talks with him to help him with his problems?
+
Ex-Villians Fentons, who all retired. Fentons knew Danny was Phantom and were sure he was just Meta and not Half Ghost. But we were proud that he started to be a villain, even if he was confused at times.

AU comic foundation (as I'm still planning it out).
A mix of "Danny is taken in by Aunt Alicia and not Vlad" and "Nobody knows" AUs. Jazz is still alive because losing your parents is already hard enough, I don't want Danny's entire life to be ruined here. That's not to say he isn't completely a wreck though.
After an incident, the Fenton kids and Alicia move to a little town named Amity Park... Surely nothing will go wrong here as well, right?
The comic will be jumping around and dealing with the mystery of what exactly happened to Danny. As well as some new, strange events that affect the town soon after his arrival.
Really, I just wanted to explore a Nobody Knows Au while making Danny a bit more harsh and edgy than usual, haha! I want to try something more dark and serious than what I usually make as well.

Aunt Alicia: Slice of Life
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shortly after Alicia's divorce, her sister Maddie visited her to support her in these difficult times. Maddie oldest kid Jazz recently learned to read and devoured every book that came her way. The youngest Danny is just amazed by the sheer amount of words his sister can understand.
Alicia would never admit it but she was thankful that Maddie was there or she would have cut down the entire forest in rage if her sister didn't stop her. Her preferred method of cutting trees is to glue a picture of her ex-husband on a tree so that would get her blood boiling during the task. This method proved to be a quite effective to finished this task in a timely manner for the following years.

Realized 2 likely reasons for the "Aunt Alicia's Absence In TUE" issue
(Outside of the writers just forgetting she's a useable character after the divorce episode)
All apart of the fact that Vlad is a horrible person. Even with the best intentions to help Danny in mind, he could've seen relying on someone else to help him help Danny as too much of a personal failure and/or embarrassment; and Danny never asking to fire whatever personal reasons. This option hurts so bad but it feels pretty correct as far as character motivations go. I'd say "except for Danny" but insurmountable grief does things to people so if he's seemingly "ooc" that's just the suffering™ really.
Aunt Alicia never existed in Dan's timeline in the first place. Going off of the idea that, despite being similar timelines, they are inherently different. (And Dan just either had a poor concept of that, or it's simply a variable in Clockwork's 5D chess he was playing so he didn't have to kill Dan. Either way) So there very truly was NO ONE for Danny to fall back on. Maddie and Jack being single children in their respective families and no cousins and grandparents to choose from (save for Vlad's barely mentioned potential sister)
The second one has the potential for a kind of funny interaction with Dan if anyone curiously were to ask him why he didn't just live with Alicia.

The Sweetest Honeysuckle Grows On Headstones
Due to some unavoidable, unfortunate circumstances this is my very late submission for Invisobang 2023! My author's fic is sadly unable to be linked at this moment, but I will definitely add it later when it becomes available! For the time being, here are the two pieces I created for the story:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had a lot of fun creating them, and I pushed myself to step outside my comfort zone (particularly in lighting). For added context, this is the summary/blurb for the fic:
"Danny James Fenton was a freak. Plain and simple. When his parents died working on a device that would supposedly let them commune with ghosts, their blasphemy of the laws of nature never came to pass. Killed in the explosion, he’s told, since they died when he was a baby. Sent with his elder sister Jazz to Spittoon, Arkansas to be raised by their Aunt Alicia Osbourne (née Foster), they’re never quite accepted, as hard as they try. Danny’s always been an odd boy, but he seems to get stranger as the days pass."
It's a gothic horror AU set in the South. Though I cannot link the fic yet, I loved the concept from the get go and I hope I can further share this wonderful story in it's completion some day soon!

Alicia swallowed.
"How did you do that?"
Danny didn't turn around and instead began walking back towards the house. His posture was stiff, rumpled sweatpants nearly falling off his thin form. From where she stood, Alicia could see his hands shaking.
"Danny, please," she whispered. "Does this have to do with what your parents—"
"Don't."
His voice was cold and quiet, yet the single syllable seemed to echo much longer than what should be possible. The woods around her house seemed more distant, rustling trees coming to a stop.
"Wh—"
"Don't bring up my parents."
He walked the distance of Alicia's backyard and let the screen door slam behind him.
Alicia kneeled and examined the now-frozen weed eater chain.
He'd asked her not to use it. There had been a distant look on his face, terror seeping into his features, and he'd said it reminded him too much of what happened that night.
Alicia should have listened.
She threw the weed eater over her shoulder and lugged it back to the shed.
She didn't know what was wrong with Danny, but she knew enough not to provoke whatever demons resided within her nephew.

Respawn/ Steve Walker or better known as Captain America!!
Part of this. Well, the way Aunt Alicia raised the son/Clone of her Ex Slade It had been pretty good. He really turned out to be a hero. While Slade didn't show it, he was pretty proud and showed off that his spawn was a better and more famous hero than the other sidekicks. And not even a sidekick! So yes, he was kind of smug, THE Hero the government supports fully. + Danny is confused… Why again was he a villain or anti-hero seen by his family? Does he really fight that brutally? It's his enemies fault! They otherwise don't go down! + Respawn now known as Steve kind of liked it, and all the chaos is doing pretty well for him. And it's fun being a Hero. + Alicia is proud of how her child became a true hero; all the comics she read with her Dad and Maddie worked out.

I'm looking for a specific Danny Phantom fic no crossover.
The Fentons plus aunt alicia take a trip to the winchester mansion to do a thorough study, while there Danny gets trapped by the house and everybody has to work together to get him back.

As I’ve moved around a lot for so much of my life many people have a difficult time detecting a specific accent from me. EXCEPT for when I go visit with my family, my old accent that I grew up with comes right back.
But this doesn’t happen when Maddie goes to visit her sister in Arkansas. Alicia has a pretty noticeable accent but Maddie doesn’t.  Alicia says she’s “Been out here for 10 years.” Maybe neither of them grew up there.  Maybe It’s just Alicia who chose that place and she picked up that accent after so many years. It would also explain why we don’t see any other members of Maddie’s family there.

During a vacation, Danny learns that the ghost stories of the west aren't just stories- and his aunt knows more than she lets on. In fact, she may even know more than Danny’s parents. One last thing for Phic Phight! enjoy a bit of silly :v @imdeadtiredtm
Really, being off in the middle of nowhere wasn’t exactly Danny’s idea of a great vacation. Mom and dad might think it was the best thing in the world, but he didn’t get the appeal of bugs, dirt and other random biting critters.
At least Aunt Alica’s cabin was cozy enough when they were actually inside. The main problem was when they were outside with all the nothing to do out there. He chased enough things that wanted to punch him back home, he wasn’t going to do it for fun. Not when the ‘smell’ of nature was just kinda bad.
There was one surprising upside. Aunt Alicia was pretty good at getting his parents to follow the ‘no ghost hunting’ rules. Apparently the wild outdoors helped distract them better? Whatever, it gave him a break from hearing what sort of things ghosts should fear if his parents caught them. Which meant he could sit on the porch and peel potatoes with his aunt in relative peace
“Honestly, I’m so tired of those kids and their camcorders running around going ‘oh we’re gonna find me a sasquatch’ or ‘that bigfoot is a big ape’ nonsense.”
“People still believe in that?” Danny raised an eyebrow, a little curious. Even if it was a bit silly to be skeptical when he was a half dead kid that fought ghosts all the time.
“Mmhm. Not totally wrong, but all their sightings? Hogwash.”
“Wait, you believe there’s Sasquatches out there or something?”
“Believe? No, no. I know there’s fuzzy big things out there.”
“Bears?”
She shook her head with a grin. “Nah, not bears. They aren’t apes either.”
Ah. So the weirdness came from mom’s side of the family. Only instead of ghosts, she wanted to find magical big monster things. “Okay, I’ll bite. What are they then? Ghosts?”
“Might be. Nothin like how your parents talk about ghosts like though. Perfectly sensible critters.”
“Oh.So what are they really like then?” Why not. It was more interesting than hearing about outhouse maintenance.
“No one ever gets the horns. Got these icy sorta things right on their heads!” She paused her peeling to demonstrate with her hands. “Don’t stick around long, but they’re around.”
“Uh. Like yetis with horns, maybe?” She couldn’t possibly mean?
“Sure! Abominable snowmen, yetis, whatever you wanna call em.”
“And you’ve seen them.”
“Talked to em. Friendly enough once they know you aren’t gonna load em full of buckshot.”
He was absolutely staring at her now. Absolutely not. Surely. “So they talk. And you’ve talked to them.”
“Mhm.”
Would he be way too obvious if he asked about them? If he suggested he might know these yetis she just apparently sees up here in nowheresville Arkansas?  “They say anything interesting?”
“Mighta.”
Danny focused back on the potatoes, taking that as enough of a ‘time to stop’ hint as he was going to get from his gruff relative.
“Aught to tell your fuzzy friends when you go on vacation though. ‘Sonly polite.”
…He totally didn’t drop the peeler.
