Welcome to my Witchy Blog!
41 posts
Hi, thank you for somehow stumbling upon my blog! I'm a  new witch and I will most likely post inconsistently. If you follow me I might check out your blog and maybe follow you if you post content i'm interested in. I might post spells, tips, or witchy humor, or some other stuff entirely. I'm a kitchen witch and I am in the broom closet. if you have any questions, feel free to ask me! My blog is family friendly (but I don't think you would be reading this blog with children for some reason) My pronouns are she/her.

Hi
Since I, for whatever reason, have nearly 800 followers on this account, I felt like I should let you all know that I do in fact have an active witchcraft blog!
If you liked the stuff I was posting before and want to see what I'm up to now, with (hopefully) much higher quality content, follow @the-inkstained-witch !! I'll probably be using old posts from this blog too, and expanding on them with what I've learned
(yes I made this announcement a few months ago when I just started the blog, yes it got literally 0 notes, so we're trying this again 🤞)
Blessed be!

Tumblr media
I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:
IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.
1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.
2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.
3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”
4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”
5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.
TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.
Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

Do you have any book recommendations for beginner witches?
As a broom closeted witch, I haven't been able to get many witchy books, but here is what I can recommend:
The Golden Book of Fortune-Telling By KC Jones
Tumblr media
Despite its small size, this book provides great divination advice! It has basics on birthdays and astrology, a numerology guide, and a guide to dream interpretation. My personal favourite part is the entire chapter on colour magick, from providing useful advice on what colours to wear for certain intentions, to things as specific as the colour of your front door. In my experience, it’s great for closeted witches too! It’s small and easy to hide, but pretty enough to display it and say you “Just got it for the aesthetic.” It also never says the word “magick” or “witch” and is not expensive for such a pretty, hardcover book! It may not have been written with witches in mind, but I’d still recommend this book as a great book for those interested in divination!
Consult The Oracle: A Victorian Guide To Folklore And Fortune Telling By Gabriel Nostradamus
Tumblr media
Although also not being made for witches, it's a book that would be of interest to many. It talks about victorian superstitions, many of which are known today, and many of which are hilariously bizarre. It does have some good witchy content too, it has a guide to palm reading and dream interpretation, both of which are beautifully illustrated, as well as a section on something modern witches would recognize as being similar to oracle cards, a card game in which you can use standard playing cards to predict the future. It also includes a small section on spells and charms, many of which are laughably useless in the modern-day, like using a stolen potato to help with rheumatism, but some of which, such as a bay leaf pillow spell for love, still hold up pretty well. It’s not a spellbook, but you still might learn something interesting about fortune telling or superstitions! And finally:
Literally any Cookbook by Any author
Tumblr media
I might be biased as a kitchen witch, but kitchen witchcraft is so easy! Find any cookbook, or any recipe, look up the magickal meanings of ingredients, set your intentions, and BOOM! You have a magically enhanced meal! It’s easy for broom closet witches as well, I like to put magickally charged basil and pepper in my instant ramen, and homegrown mint in my lemonade. Even recipes without herbs can have your magick in them, if you use intention in your salt, stir sigils in your pot, or make a cup of tea with your meal. cookbooks are an underrated witchy tool that I recommend everyone incorporates in their craft.
Notes: Thank you so much for all the love I’m getting on this blog! I had a lot of fun making this post and I love when I get asks because I love knowing that you want to hear what I have to say! None of the links above are affiliated, all the descriptions and opinions are my own. Please keep sending asks because I love answering your questions, and if you have any requests, I’d love to do them! Thank you kittens! BB✨

Witchcraft misconceptions ✨💚👎
“You have to be Pagan/Wiccan” Witches can be any religion!  “You have to work with a deity” Working with a deity can be advanced and time consuming, and you might not believe in any deities.  “All spells are long and complicated” Spells can be as simple as a word or piece of paper.  “Female witches are stronger then male witches” Magickal strength doesn’t relate to gender in any way!  “All witches are lesbians” Although witchcraft is a big part of lesbian and queer culture, anyone can be a witch!  “Sage cleansing is better then other kinds” Sage is used for cleansing all energy, not just negitive, and you need to remember to respect closed practices  “Witches who post on tik tok are fake” Although witchtok can be unreliable, the witches themselves are just like any other witch  “You need to practice every day” You are just as valid as a witch if you practice every day as you are if you practice once a month Blessed be ✨

How to Involve Origami in your Witchcraft✂️💌✨
1. Chose your paper
The color or pattern of the paper can correspond with your intention. For example, green paper could represent luck, heart pattern could represent love. If you are doing it for a deity, you could also chose  colors or patterns associated with them, such as blue for Poseidon or owls for Athena.
2. Write or draw
You can add symbols or words on the paper that relate to your intentions. You can add manifestations, poems, pentacles, sigils, symbols, images, prayers, or a mix of any of them.
3. Select a project
Chose how you are going to fold your paper to match with you intentions.  Some ideas may be a heart, star, crane, owl, clover, flower, butterfly, or bird. Use whatever project best matches your intention or skill level
4. Fold your intention
With each fold, recite your intention in your head or out loud, feel free to play music, burn a candle, or meditate on the intention you’ve set. You may also want to cleanse and charge it afterwards.
5. Storing after completion
One complete, do with it what your intuition tells you, you can put it on your alter, use it as decoration, store it in a box, bury or dispose of it, gift it to someone, or any other thing you see fit!

How to make ritual robes in the broom closet!🧹✨
1. find something at a thrift store, a cardigan or fasion works very well 2. Clean and cleanse it, use salt to get all of the negative energy out 3. bless it, enchant it, or whatever else you wanna do to make it special 4. (optional) if the pattern or design of the garment doesn't speak to you, adjust it to our liking, paint it, add glitter, cut it shorter, sew on a sigil, whatever you like!

Dos and Don’ts: Baby Witch Spell-casting✨🕯️🌿
If you are casting one of your first spells, make sure to read this list, also read the important section at the bottom.
Dos: Do a lot of reasearch of each crystal, candle colour, herb, and ingredient  Do cleanse your space and yourself before doing the spell Do focus and set your intention Do a simple spell if it’s your first time, a simple protection or luck spell is probably best Don’ts: Don’t do a hex or love spell, or any other complex spell that takes away a lot of energy and peoples free will Don’t use any spells or magick that is culturally appropriating such as smudging if you are not indigenous Don’t be afraid, belive it will work and results will manifest, just set your intentions and follow the steps and you will do great ❗IMPORTANT❗ http://chng.it/wvVhpMHgGc please sign this petition to get justice for Brayla Stone. Black lives matter.

Made with the text “Protect black lives matter protesters and rioters from harm.” Already activated, the colors symbolize protection and peace, I’ve posted this before, but it was when only had 15 followers, so I thought i should repost it for more people to see
