The Queens Triptych || Watercolor on paper

Disney has played a large part in my development as an artist. I grew up with the movies plying in my home every day. And while there was a time I wanted nothing to do with them (teenagers…. we had no taste…), I rediscovered my love for them in my adulthood and have fully embraced them once again. The vibrancy of their colors have especially rubbed off on me. I much prefer a bright and saturated image to a dull and muddy one.

Still in love with this piece after all these years. He sparked something in me and set me off in a new direction. The first piece in what would become my defining visual style.

He taught me to trust myself. To let go of the baggage. To trust my instincts. To paint for me first, and let everyone else’s opinions go.

My first professional comics job was drawing and painting Spider-Man for the Fleer Ultra Spider-Man trading card set in 2017. I always loved Spidey, so working on that set was amazing. Flash forward to 2021, and I debuted this Spider-Man piece at the New York Comic Con. So proud to have worked with this iconic and legendary character.

I've loved Kylo Ren since I first saw his character design. I loved watching his character grow and develop. I loved his messy and raw moments, his immature moments, and his dark and malevolent ones too. His redemption was beautiful, and his death was tragic. He shall always hold a special place in my heart.
