Carlie walks into a full conference room. Her long blonde hair (and badly grown out deep brown roots) cascade down her back. She dons an LBD, leaving her hero suit in its place this morning. The surrounding walls are made of glass, encasing them into this private bubble. She steps in, deep blue eyes looking at the people she’d summoned for the proposal. She walks towards the front of the room, laying out thick documents of paper as she walks by each person, then stops, turning towards them.

“Good morning. I’m glad you all got my message. I have a proposal, for you all. Each of you was hand selected by the UN, and I was appointed to manage the project that stands before you. What lies in your hands, is an invitation. After the war in Jaku, the UN began preparing a response to situations and villains of that size. The world very quickly realized how unprepared it was. This team, of some of the greatest fighters who responded in Jaku, would be summoned by the UN if, God forbid, another situation to the same catastrophic level arises. The following were granted access, and a place on this team:

Katsuki Bakugo, Dynamight.

Izuku Midoriya, Deku.

Shoto Todoroki, Shoto.

Eijiro Kirishima, Red Riot.

Mina Ashido, Alien Queen.

Ochako Uraraka, Uravity.

Fumikage Tokoyami, Tsukuyomi.

And myself, Cherry-Bomb.

You have 48 hours to sign the document if you choose to accept. It is a binding contract, once you’re in, you’re in. If you have not signed in 48 hours the offer expires entirely,” Carlie pauses, exhaling, her eyes flicker to each individual at the table, “Questions..?”

Izuku Midoriya flicks through the large document, then back up to her, “What’s the team’s name..? I can’t find it, heh.”

Carlie smirks, looking at the group before her,

to love katsuki was to not need anything more.

whims of salty air and sunlight poured through the windows of your shared apartment. you loved summer, loved the warmth and long days. you adored the butterflies and the bumblebees, the cicadas that hushed you to sleep and the birds that compassionately sang you awake. you loved walking beneath the trees and alongside the blooming flowers, in their prime and ready to fall back in love.

what you loved most about summer, however, was your boyfriend.

katsuki bakugou glowed in the summertime- quite literally, because the sun seemed to favour him towards anyone else. whenever he went on long walks with you, always practicing the sidewalk rule with his arm around your waist, it was as though that bright burning star gave him little kisses from above. he looked so beautiful and you weren’t even sure if he knew it. the sky blessed him with a gorgeous sun-kissed tan that dared you to rome your hands up and down his skin. how could you resist something so gorgeous and so, utterly yours?

katsuki was someone that ran hot more than cold, especially during the summertime. he prefers to be shirtless anyway. so you’re given the privilege of seeing his back beneath the sun, the way every contour of his unreasonably gorgeous muscles hugged the sun’s golden glow perfectly. he’d lay on his stomach by the window, just feeling the warmth while your fingers trace lazy circles over his back. god, the way he hums when he feels your touch on him. he’ll lazily shift his head over to look at you, hooded crimson eyes staring into yours with nothing but pure love. he’ll utter a quick “what are you doing?” as if he’s complaining- but you both know he’s not. his voice is irresistibly deep when he’s resting, especially when its warm and the summer heat has him dazed.

you love katsuki when he’s under the sun. katsuki looks at you like you are the sun.

you’ll be in bed together, the sun’s setting glow casting a warmth like a stage light over the sheets. he kisses every part of you, hands roaming up and down your skin as if trying to warm you up after the longest winters of your life when he wasn’t there. you two will be absolutely twisted in the bedsheets, limbs pressed against each other and hearts thumping almost in sync. he can’t help the way his eyes roam over your body when your under him, savouring you with the fear that you’ll slip away in a moment in time. he doesn’t know that it’s impossible for you to slip away, because you’re never not his. he’s uncharacteristically gentle at times like this, whispering “are you sure? are you okay? did that feel good? did you see heaven when i just did?”

god, he wishes he could write his name on you. to assure himself that this is real, that you’re real. that he didn’t just make this up. that he doesn’t just think he has you, and that he does truly have you. you can feel it in the way he holds you, how his arms never leave your body when next to him. how he presses quick kisses to your head and shoulder when he’s just passing by you. you can feel it in the way he loves you, how he’s changing for the better for you. how he’ll keep working hard and growing, keep fighting to be the greatest damn hero there ever was just so he can go home to you. sure, the sun gave him life, but he honestly didn’t think he’d need the sun if he had you.

and honestly, he loves you so much that wanting is enough for him. of course he wants you to love him back, and he’s sure you do, but he’s also thought that just having these feelings is enough for him. he’ll tolerate that shitty star in the sky if he can’t have your love, because at least the skies gifted him with your existence.

but he does have you. he has you when you’re bathed in sunlight or kissed by the moon. when you’re drooling over his tanned state or gasping his name like a symphony. he has you in the summer and through every other season. he’s not alone, regardless of whether or not the flowers bloom or wither in the snow. katsuki bakugou gets to say “us.” because its you.

i may write a second part we’ll see 🐚 to live for the hope of it all!

This was beautifully done, thank you for giving us this wonderful story we could be apart of.

Also, I’m glad no ships were directly confirmed (other than eri x kota) however Izuocha was definitely kinda hinted as being a thing (which honestly, after all the shit, if they’re into each other, go be happy, they both deserve it) it leaves their future and relationships up to our imaginations, meaning no one’s bubble had to get popped, which is nice.

Loved Ochako making a foundation in Toga’s honor to help people. That was just such a girlboss move and I love it for her.

-Mina has a fake and has used it to buy alcohol; however, this doesn't work so well after the sports festival after she's disclosed as a first year.

-I saw someone posted that Bakugou is a Kendrick Lamar fan, so whoever originally posted that, full credit to you (if you know, please comment and I'll tag them) -- I'd like to add he's a Future, Metro, 21 Savage, and The Weeknd fan as well, and you bet your ass he's training to The Hills, 10 Freaky Girls, and Mask Off.

-Bakugou has a skin care routine.

-Kirishima knows 'Unwritten' by Natasha Bedingfield by heart. If it gets played, he gets into that shit.

-After the drake disses, no one is allowed to play drake, it gets vetoed almost immediately. however when not like us comes on, everyone holds the 'A MINORRR' and it's fucking gold

-Bakugou, Mina, Jirou, and Kirishima are primarily in control of the music cause the class tends to like whatever they play, but if enough people yell skip, the song gets vetoed.

-Deku could roast the shit out of someone if he chose to, like if you put him in Wild'n'Out he'd gut bitches, he's just too nice and keeps his mouth shut 99.9% of the time. Considering he knows so much about people, their habits, and quirks, he's also unintentionally got dirt on people. All of saying is, Deku could 1000% pull a Kendrick Lamar and end someone's career if he just decided to.

-Inko Midoriya brings food over to the class dorms for those who choose to remain in the dorms. She's the emergency contact for like, half of the class, and is essentially everyone's mom. If something's wrong, Momma Midoriya is already in the mom van and on the way.

-Mitsuki is a wine mom. Tell me I'm wrong. I'll wait.

-Kirishima has like, 50 flavors of protein powder. it's all stacked neatly on a shelf in his dorm.

-Kaminari has been banned from the kitchen, he's too much of a liability once he starts 'cooking'.

-Sato keeps a cookie jar, and bakes fresh cookies every couple days - it lives in the kitchen off to the side. He's also just really laid back, and if you're on your cycle and have a specific pastry you're craving, if you ask, he'll make it for you fresh if he has the time.

-Kirishima is a hugger and if you've had a bad day, and need a hug, just hug him. He'll sit there and hold you as long as you need, stating it's, "manly to hug it out!"

-Deku also gives amazing hugs, but is too shy to do so with people he's not close with.

-Mina and Hagakure host dance parties every Friday night for the girlies. No boys are allowed, but Aoyama is invited because he's fabulous.

-Bakugou, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero play Fortnite and COD together. Kirishima called them the 'Baku-squad' once and that's when that term was first coined by the group (in my headcanons). Bakugou secretly likes that it's named after him.

-Deku, Tsu, Uraraka, Todoroki and Ilda have a Minecraft server together. Deku built a massive All Might and proceeded to live in it, Tsu has a hut by the mangroves, Uraraka lives in the cherry biome, and then Todoroki and Ilda have this really organized massive house in a spruce forrest. When everyone saw it for the first time, they all went, "holy shit...". Lest to say it soon becomes the HQ of the server when they suit up for the ender dragon fight.

-Speaking of Minecraft, Deku builds the most elaborate red stone you've ever seen, but cannot explain how and what he built to save his life. He also owns all of the Minecraft books that came out in like, 2016.

-Aizawa lives on Melatonin gummies, black coffee, and shear force of will. I also feel like at one point in his early 20s he smoked cigarettes then quit.

-Sero's hammock is something he keeps as a privilege after Bakugou broke it.

-Bakugou just happens to 'make too much' food and happens to make sure his friends have eaten properly.

-Present Mic is a die hard Mitsuki fan.

-Aizawa genuinely loves his students and does little things for them. Like at graduation, there's a small note from him to each student in their diplomas for them to find later. It's personalized for each of them, but he gives his personal contact to all in case they ever need anything (he would drop everything and help but he won't say that out loud).

-If Bakugou or Midoriya ever got ahold of Thor's hammer, they'd both be worthy. Bakugou more-so at the end of the series than the beginning. Kirishima could also lift it depending on the situation.

-Mineta's been sent to detention multiple times for looking up things he should NOT be googling on the school WiFi. Aizawa is really sick of his shit, he refuses to even look at the links anymore cause it's bad, and so he just lectures him like a hopeless parent and then gives the Chromebook back lmao

-Aizawa uses his body wash as face wash and has flawless skin.

-If Denki was a vine, he’d be the *calling roll call* “Uh, Shithead?” “It’s pronounced shi-thead”

Izuku hadn't wanted you back, not at first.

He'd actually believed that he was better off without you and you without him, because he couldn't love you the same way anymore. But the love wouldn't disappear completely, and believe him... he'd tried.

He was still trying, on his fifth glass, and well on his way to more. Who knew how many it'd be tonight?

He missed spending nights with you, hearing your dreams about the future.

Izuku was living his dream of being the greatest hero ever, but not once during his time with you had he thought it'd be like this. With you nowhere to be found.

Why had he thought you were less important? How could he have let you leave? He hadn't even argued for you to stay.

Izuku drank, but the burn of alcohol couldn't burn away all his memories of you or U.A. He wanted to be back in high school again, where he'd always found a way to be happy: with you. Not miserable as a pro, putting away the smile as soon as he was out of the public eye.

The bar was all he had at the end of a long day–or the beginning of one if he wanted oblivion early.

Work, work, work.

Drink, drink, drink.

It was a pattern he couldn't break. More and more, he wished he could forget about you altogether, but remembering was the self-punishment he deserved. Daily.

Holding an empty glass in his hand, Izuku stared unseeingly at the ceiling above him. He didn't want to be great anymore, but what else was there? Besides regret, which he'd feel for the rest of his life.

He needed another drink.
