Hey, guys! Sorry I haven't been around much! My mom is moving, so I've been helping prepare the house for the open house. It's been really busy between painting, packing, and cleaning/dusting everything. Now I'm helping my dad clean up the pool at his house 'cause that's a mess. Also, just general resting after being at college.

On that note, I've gotten myself some new mythology books that I'll definitely use as reference for some of my blog research! It's gonna be fun!

Hii, I just wanted to ask a question, what do I do with the unconscious body on the floor.

Well that was a waste of a perfectly good violin. As a violin player, that really hurts my heart. Unless it was one of those combat violins made out of celestial bronze like that one ukulele Austin from the Apollo cabin has, but those always sound trashy and tinny in comparison to a true version of the instrument.

Anyways, dealing with an unconscious body. Honestly, if you really need to get away with it without getting in trouble, I'd take the violin away from the scene, maybe store it in your cabin or something, then go back. Make sure there's nothing that could implicate you, maybe make it look like she tripped over something and hit her head, then call for the Apollo cabin healers, saying you just found her like that.

(Is it suspicious that I know how to get away with this kind of stuff? Maybe, but I guess that's what I get for studying forensic science back in middle school. You learn how to hide bodies and skew a crime scene 🙃)

Are there any Valgrace fics where after Jason dies he can't move on and is stuck as a ghost because his unfinished business is not telling Leo he's in love with him? And then he has to basically haunt Leo (who's a complete wreck the whole time) till he notices and they need Nico to help Leo see Jason so Jason can confess and move on to Elysium?

er- hi kally id just like to ask if i could bring my little brother to camp? He's 3 years old and fully mortal but my mortal mother is abusive and I don't trust him with her, I'd also not like for him to go into foster care or into an orphanage.

Yes! As I’ve said before, Camp Half-Blood is a sanctuary for all. The only exceptions are people who actively intend to harm the camp, which is definitely not going to be a 3-year-old mortal kid. I’ll tell Chiron and Mr. D you’re coming with him. Let me know when you two arrive, because someone has to give permission for him to enter.

Also, you mentioned your mom is abusive. We have plenty of resources here that I think you should take advantage of, including therapy with Mr. D or one of his kids. It’s not a requirement (no one likes to be forced into therapy), but it’s highly recommended. I’ve done some sessions with Mr. D myself, and he takes it very seriously. He won’t be mean at all when it comes to therapy.

Hey, everyone! As you can see, Darcy's guitar has been stolen! Please keep an eye out for it!

She suspects the Stoll brothers had something to do with it, but we can't be certain. I'll certainly check around the cabin, see if it's there.

Are there any particular identifies that will help it stand out? Is it in a case with your name on it? Does it have any unique markings in the wood or inlays? What brand is it?

Quick, I need advice of my fellow demigods!

I (14, daughter of Apollo) live together with my two half-brothers, my Mom and my Step-dad. Since my claiming, two years ago, I didn't know that he isn't my biological father and neither did he, but we're adjusting.

Now, I recently met this unclaimed demigod (14) and I KNOW that's against what you're supposed to do but I fell in love with her, even though she showed since of being a fellow Apollo kid.

TURNS OUT, she is a daughter of Lyssa and of my STEP-DAD (he didn't knew about her).

At this moment, I'm at a quest with her and I'm kinda conflicted on what to do. Should I tell her that I love her? Is that some kind of paradox incest? WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Wow! That really is a mess!

I want to say, everyone, please do not blow up on me or cancel me or something. Nor say anything negative to Claire. This is a very delicate and complicated topic. I'm trying to answer this with as much tact and consideration for all sides as I can, but people will often have very differing opinions on such matters.

So, yes, you're lucky that on your godly side, the two of you are not related. The nice thing about relationships in the demigod world is that the gods don't have DNA, and therefore, as long as you don't share a godly parent, then you're considered unrelated. Because of the incredibly complicated train wreck that is the gods' family tree, it's better to just not think about it.

However, it's on your mortal family's side that the issues really come in. I've heard of situations where a family had a long lost kid and adopted another, who then met and fell in love. Sometimes, they decided to break up, and others, they decided to stay together. Because this girl is the child of your step-father, you're technically not related through your DNA. However, you would be legally related as step-sisters which would be tricky to deal with. I honestly don't know much about law and how relationships with that kind of stuff work.

I think you should tell her, not necessarily because I think you should still be fine, but because this is a situation that requires a lot very clear communication. That kind of communication cannot happen without all sides knowing the situation. Ask her what she thinks is right, share what you think is right. Make sure you consider all opinions with equal weight.

Ultimately, it's up to the two of you to decide what you want to do.

Hey Kally, Aphrodite kid here. I think one of the Hermes kids put Hair remover in my shampoo. Dw, I smelt it before it was in my hair. But I wanna know if there’s a way to sneak into Hermes cabin and paint all their nails bright pink.

Well, it'll be tricky to sneak in, but it'll probably be doable. I'd say probably you're best bet is to recruit a Hecate or Hypnos kid, like Lou Ellen or Clovis, to cast some sleeping magic on them. Otherwise, you're pretty much guaranteed that someone will wake up. Being the kids of the Greek god of thieves really makes it difficult to fool them or sneak around.

Additionally, the front door of the cabin is pretty loud. Even if you use sleeping magic on them, they might still wake up. However! There is a window that's been maintained so that it's completely silent when opening, plus no screen to remove. Also, it's left unlocked and has no bunk underneath it, so no one gets stepped on.

Just wear gloves when you're opening it. I swear, it's like they can identify fingerprints, sometimes. Must be another Hermes-related power. I'm assuming you'd probably already be wearing gloves to protect your own nails anyways.

My help comes with two conditions. One: you don't tell anyone in the cabin I helped you. Two: you have to promise to leave me alone when you're doing it. I don't like painting my nails, plus my camp activities would probably mess them up within a day.

Hi, Eva!

The first step to dealing with a feral Hades/Pluto kid is to tame it, typically by providing snacks. McDonald's often is a good go-to for those. Other options might include providing entertainment such as books in Greek, drawing materials, or game cards. A great way to gain its trust is to show that you have no fear of death and that its powers don't make you uncomfortable.

Once you have successfully gained the child's trust, ask for a name. If the name starts with an 'N' and ends with an 'ico di Angelo', leave it alone, it can fends for itself. Also, it has a boyfriend that will pick up any of the slack.

Otherwise, ask the child if they have anyone important to them, such as a trusted adult. If this person seems okay and not a monster, it may be prudent to inform them of the situation regarding demigods. Otherwise, try to get the child to go to camp with you. Of course, don't force them to go with you, otherwise they will likely not enjoy being there.

Be kind, be patient. Be respectful. Treat them how anyone would want to be treated.

As far as I know, they do need permission. Not because they count as monsters, but because there is a rather long track record of them intending to harm campers for one reason or another. Also, the border was created by Zeus, even if it's now maintained by the golden fleece. He doesn't exactly view anyone that's not a god favorably.

That's more of a Mr. D and Chiron question. It's kind of tricky because of issues like allergies.

I know that Percy has Mrs. O'Leary and Blackjack. Blackjack, obviously, is a pegasus, and is able to stay in the stables when he is around.

I know Camp Jupiter has the unicorns, griffins, and Hannibal the elephant. But their system is slightly different. They all have uses that benefit the camp. Also, Hannibal is a war elephant.

There are a few things that might determine whether you can have pets at camp. Is the pet a magical/mythical creature that would not exist well outside of our world? Like Mrs. O'Leary?

Is the creature and outdoor or indoor pet? Where would it stay? Would you keep it in your cabin? If it's an outdoor pet, would it be okay to roam around the campgrounds without getting into anything dangerous?

That kind of stuff. I'm all for having pets. I even have my own dog and cat back at home. But ultimately, it's going to be up to the camp directors.

Hey, same unclaimed kid from before! 2 days till we reach camp, uh Tartarus kid has managed to eat 3 buckets full of sand while I was asleep and now I have no idea what to do because it's vomiting endless pits of sand, 10x more than what it consumed.. what do I do?

Oh no, that's not good! How does a kid manage to consume three buckets worth of sand? That seems really excessive!

Are you sure this is a Tartarus kid? Because as far as I know, there shouldn't be any connection to sand. Maybe this kid is a legacy of Psamathe, the goddess of Sand? Still, even if they were, they shouldn't be consuming it!

Honestly, I don't know what to tell you other than to keep vigilant and try to prevent the kid from eating any more sand. If you have some way of reinforcing that it's bad behavior, it may help to stop the kid. That's mostly stuff along the lines of minor punishments like taking away privileges, like dessert (never necessities like a meal or love/human interaction, never make love and care conditional).

Just do what you can, try not to let the kid eat any more sand, and hang in there! You're almost at camp, and once you're there, Chiron and the other campers will be able to help you and the kid!

Honestly, it's going to be something along the lines of having to get Clovis to talk to them. I'm assuming it's mostly the younger/newer Apollo kids, because the older ones like Will and Kayla know better.

And if you really want me to, I can also help mediate some of that stuff, but I'm really not the most knowledgable.
