here to remind you all that flopnyra has nothing to do with my two gorgeous, strong and independents queens.
whenever i see the comparison between them or I see people say that visenya and dany would have supported rhaenyra claim I’m like “uh?” yeah sure honey.they would hate her and her incompetence so so much.
visenya who usurped the throne in favore of her male son.daenerys who cares about her people, slavery and the lives of the innocents.
they wouldn’t support rhaenyra at all.

"There is no such thing as High Lady."
Call Tamlin a misogynistic sexist asshole or whatever else you want, but he's right.
High Lady is a title Rhysand gave to Feyre.
It's honorary.
It wasn't 'earned'. She wasn't 'blessed' with it, and she certainly wasn't chosen by the land and the magic.
If there was a title and it meant something, don't you think Viviane, of all women, would've been granted it by the lands for holding down the fort in Winter Court for 50 years while Kalias was stuck UTM?
Kalias could've also easily slapped the title on her like Rhysand did with Feyre, and yet he didn't. You know why? Because Viviane doesn't need it. She's already respected and seen as his equal by his court and the others for what she has done.
Feyre can't say the same, can she?
SJM sets it up as this badass moment of empowerment, but all I saw was Rhysand giving a baby (by Fae years) a title and letting her run loose with it as well as letting it go to her head.
The first thing she did after getting that title was go and get revenge on a whole ass court because she had issues with its High Lord which is insane in of itself but it brings me to my point, that there was no political repercussions where as if Rhysand had done it, it would've declared an internal war between Night and Spring.
It would've been a good ass arc if she had learned Prythian politics, history, diplomacy, the cultures, and customs of the other courts, including her own, so much as visited the other courts, slowly climbed the ranks and learned instead of Rhysand shoving that crown on her head and down everyone else's throats.
It's like taking me, a complete clueless, inadequate foreigner, and making me the Queen of England. Utterly ridiculous.
"You just hate Feyre being High Lady because you want Nesta to be one."
The same thing goes for Nesta, babe. NONE of the Archeron sisters are qualified to be High Ladies, honorary or not.
One of the hills I will die and kill on.

my unpopular obx opinions that no one asked for (unfiltered and in detail)...
Tumblr media
Sarah cheating on John B was not unexpected. She ran into the arms of Topper Thornton whenever the opportunity presented itself which bring me to my next point...
Sarah does not like being a pogue. I believed she liked the initial freedom and adventure but when shit gets tough, she runs back to what reminds her of her old life (*cough cough* Topper). She has the luxury of being on the fence of Kook and Pogue sometimes.
Pope is technically the real main character of the show. On paper, yes, the show is about John B finishing the treasure hunt that his father started. BUT, after season 2, it was clear that the entire treasure itself revolved around Pope, a direct descendant of the man the treasure belonged to and I don't think we got enough of that.
Pope is a stronger character than he is presented to be. I think the show highlighted his self-defense capability in seasons 2 and 3 but it's widely ignored that this man has gone up against Rafe on multiple occassions and lowkey beat his ass. (Rafe beat his ass too but still).
Kiara will forever be wrong for how she did Pope. She treated him like SHIT. Like, if I was Pope, I genuinely could not be friends with her after like. P4L my ass. And then there are people who call him butthurt but if the roles were reversed...Hardcore Kie fans can defend her all they'd like but after a certain point, there was no excuse for her to be leading him on the way she did. She knew she didn't like him in that way and that's very clear from the start of season 2, but she proceeds to sleep with him and then tell him off.
Ward is a better father than Big John. Y'know, I pondered on this for a bit. And I am standing by it. Big John would break both of John B's legs and throw him onto a set of train tracks if it got him closer to finding the gold and excuse it by saying some shit like "But you didn't die, did ya, Bird?". Like that man was ALIVE for almost an entire year and made no attempt to contact his son. Ward is a criminal by all means but most of the time, at least what we saw as viewers, he was doing it for Rafe.
Cleo deserves more screen time and a better backstory. I know she's a new character and all but like WHAT'S HER LAST NAME?? Like does she not have one? Is she not real??
(edit) Kiara is very insensitive to the feelings of her friends and overall generally self-centered. She literally acts like her parents are the worst in the world. I get it, they don't like her friends and they are indeed hypocritical towards the pogues considering her father was one. But in season 2, she gets in the car and says "this shit would be so much easier without parents" next to JJ, aka the one with an abusive father. Not to mention, she's seen how John B fell apart after his father disappeared and how hard it's been for Sarah to go against her father.
CLEOPOPE BEST SHIP.
Anyway, I did this out of boredom. I had to take a break from actual writing for a moment.

rhaenyra being so concerned about aegon, but helaena was ultimately her downfall. the smallfolk loved her. they mourned her. they rebelled for her. she was so deeply beloved by all who knew her, highborn and low, she was the one who indirectly caused her half-sister’s death with her own. she is remembered as queen, not rhaenyra. she is remembered fondly, not rhaenyra.

In Elain book i really want overprotective and jealous mate Lucien that tell Azriel to back the fuck off. He’s been too nice and people out there still saying that he’s “forcing” Elain to be with him only because they are mates. My boy had minded his business the entire time and didn’t forced no one to be with him,he wants only to get to know her and he has all the right to do that.
The one who is forcing his way in is Azriel and it’s really embarrassing for him to do so.Cause imagine only liking someone because your brothers are dating her sisters and you have to do that too. He’s literally an ancient adult acting like a toddler.
So in the next book i want Lucien to pull a Bella Swan in Breaking Down part 2.You know that one scene that she have with Jacob?
Lucien to Azriel: “I’ve held her once! One time Azriel! And already you think you have some moronic bat claim on her? She’s mine!”
And then to throw him against a tree because he deserves it.

Am I the only one who doesn't really like Jiara? It just felt so sudden and forced, I feel like the writers just wrote it in the storyline so that people would shut up about shipping them, since shipping the characters turned into shipping that actors which ruined Rudy and Madison's friendship and made it all awkward. Also they just don't seem like a good fit together. I don't like Kiara in general. She was so dismissive of other people's issues, especially JJ's dad. When she said how life would be so much easier without parents when JJ was right there, as well as that comment she made when jj was saying something Luke told him and Kiara said he was an also abusive asshole, inferring that nothing he says is really relevant. And she seemed to want to be the only girl int the group. As well as what she did to pope. Idk she just always pissed me off.

I love the fact that the more Ryan Condal keeps trying to put Aegon down by destroying his character, the more Tom Glynn-Carney made him become the fans favorite.

the ritualistic humiliation of alicent this season was absolutely disgusting and the show constantly needed to remind us that she is the character we should root against all the time and never feel bad for her, everyone else gets a pass because they’re a slave to fate, apparently, but not her. nearly every single plot point this season regarding her is swiftly followed by a punishment, whether literally or narratively.
she starts this season by having clandestine consensual sex with criston cole her sworn sword. they are so bad at being clandestine that otto and larys have clearly suspected something is going on with them. after being stood up by her, larys then replaces her regular lady’s maids with some from his staff so that they can spy and report back to him which makes alicent uncomfortable enough to send them away. that’s punishment #1
she and criston are having sex when b&c happens and are interrupted by helaena and jaehaera running in. but remember, jaehaerys was not the original target of b&c, and the mastermind behind it, daemon is redeemed by the end of this season, so alicent is so much of a POS hypocrite that while she too busy having sex with the LC of the kingsguard, her grandson dies on HER watch. and as much as i loved alicole, i really hate that the writers used their relationship to seemingly punish the characters when they literally haven’t done anything wrong. and now helaena knows about the affair too. punishment #2
alicent is confronted by rhaenyra at the sept of baelor, who lets slip that she heard viserys push for aegon to be king as his last words to her. but oh no, silly alicent, rhaenyra is here to tell you about the song of ice and fire, this stupid prophecy that has been passed from Targaeryen king to heir for generations now. how would alicent have known about it when she is neither king nor heir? doesn’t matter, she’s stupid for believing his words to be literal and stupid for playing a part in crowning her son. punishment #3
alicent takes moon tea, as an abortifacient or as a late contraceptive, we’ll never know! but the very act of taking moon tea is now perceived by grand maester orwylle, who now also has reason to suspect queen alicent has been having an affair. punishment #4
bitter and disillusioned with herself for not knowing about a stupid fucking prophecy nobody told her about and letting her horrible son aegon be crowned (even though the council was planning on installing him anyways), alicent talks down to aegon by reminding him he’ll never be as good of a king as his father (L O L) and he should do nothing. such a rousing speech leads to aegon getting drunk, flying out into battle on his dragon and getting maimed because of it. why did you say such mean things alicent? now look what you did. punishment #5
back at the small council, alicent advocates for herself to be regent with only one person there to agree with her, grand maester orwylle but not even her lover and closest confidant advocates for her. the son she is scared of the most becomes regent instead. silly alicent, don’t you know you will never be respected in a room full of men? how do you like misogyny, something you have apparently never personally experienced until this day, now? punishment #6
alicent goes to the sept of baelor to pray with helaena when a riot mob happens and is forced to retreat. this mob is apparently so righteously angry at not having enough food, they throw fish in her face with such good aim and call her the queen of fishes, alicent trips and falls for leaving helaena behind momentarily, and she also receives a bloody gash on her arm before barely escaping with her life and helaena. oh alicent, didn’t you know that the blockade of ships that carries food into the city which has been enforced by rhaenyra and corlys has actually been your fault the entire time?? punishment #7
back at the small council, alicent confronts aemond and is relieved by her duty on there by him. maybe its because she brings up a theory that he is now avenging the bullying he went through when he was young, which one could argue happened on her watch, is why she gets the boot. oh well, there goes any little ruling power and say in the war effort she had left. punishment #8
alicent sees off her brother ser gwayne who makes mention that their father otto kept her closer to him than gwayne because she was his favored child. Oh! so because alicent was otto’s favorite, it doesn’t really matter that he sold her into marriage and marital rape at age 14 last season. why would you ever want to be otto hightower’s favorite child? punishment #9
alicent also asks about daeron, with gwayne saying how unlike to aegon and aemond he is because he was raised away from them in Oldtown and not by her.. she even says this and gwayne dissuades her of that opinion but honestly, once alluded to that alicent is a bad mom, it’s just her biased brother claiming otherwise. punishment #10

The problem with this show are not the characters or how the episodes are made, but the writers that decided to develop a literal masterpiece into a circus.
The campaign for season two literally started with making the audience choose between team black and team green:we had two trailers, two official posters and even the actors were “divided” to promote their teams.
So they basically told us to pick a side since the beginning.
Then they procede to turn team black in the saint team:making them the victims of the patriarchy, the heroes of the story. They showed us team black as if they are more Targaryen then the other team only because they know a prophecy and use this fact to excuse them from anything they do.
They made team black loved and worshiped by the small folks after Rhaenys killed hundreds of them during her dumb and useless girl boss scene and after Rhaenyra starved them. When in the book the small folks hates Rhaenyra and her incompetence, they will literally kick her out of the city and she has to run away or they will kill her just like they did with the dragons. The small folks instead loved team green, they loved Helaena as their queen and blamed and hated Rhaenyra for her death.
They forced use to like Rhaenyra just because she is one of the main characters, pushing on her the role of strong female character that is fighting a male society and then again just because she is a woman she is excused for everything that she does.We had to sit and watch two scenes of her giving birth and two of her weddings because we needed to empathize with her.We need to see her on her dragon constantly so that we can see Daenerys resemblance. They had to make her a saint,of course she wouldn’t want to kill a child she is too good, she would never hurt Helaena, everyone is loyal to her and she can do no wrong. They even took down Nettles to not show us Rhaenyra racism and the way she wanted to have a little girl killed because her pedo uncle-husband was rumored to be her lover.
On the other side we have team green that was completely dehumanized, stripped down of every good aspects they had in the book, changing and canceling everything.
We had never saw Alicent give birth to children that came to her out of marital rapes,we also did not see her getting married as a child bride to a man that will abuse her.Apparently the love of her life is Rhaenyra instead that her own children, she betrays them and her own side of the family in favor of her ex best friend that didn’t do anything to help her in the past and instead laughed in her face about her trauma. They keep telling that Alicent has never sacrificed anything when she has sacrificed her all life for duty and family unlike Rhaenyra.
Healena is totally marginal as the “weird bug girl” that just rants things out.She was a dragon rider that enjoyed being with her dragon Dreamfyre, yet in the show apparently she doesn’t like that.Even her dragon legacy was taken by team black, because now Dany dragon eggs comes from Syrax. In Viserys last days Helaena used to visit her father with her children but again this was taken from her and put on Rhaenyra instead. She was also stripped down of her coronation,of the way she was loved as a queen and how Aegon made sure that she was remembered as the true queen during the dance. They took from her the grief and mourning of her son one of the things that will literally drove her to death, because only Rhaenyra can cry her son and no one else.
Aegon was transformed into a rapist, because you can’t like him,you can only like Rhaenyra. There was no scene of him and Sunfyre beside the battle of Rook’s Rest, they have the strongest bond between a dragon and a dragon rider,he loved Sunfyre to the point he changed the family sigil to a golden dragon. They took down his will to fight, his family support and loyalty to him,his rage as a father that had lost his son. They took two of his sons, because Maelor do not exist and now he can’t have any more children because in the show he had lost his penis. They made him useless and pushed him on the sidelines in his own story.
I still don’t understand why they had to make Aemond betray his brother when in the book he was loyal to him, also in the book there was no indication of Aegon bullying him so again i don’t understand why choose this path.Daemon had a “redemption arc” after his betrayal one but of course Aemond can’t,only team black can.
Criston Cole is portrayed as an angry incel that still hates one woman that coerced him into having sex with her after he told her no multiple times. So much wasted potential in this character, when in the book he was one of the masterminds of team green, convinced Aegon to take the crown, took care of Sunfyre and served his king just right.
Daeron…sorry who? What do you mean that there is a third brother?I just know that his character will be completely destroyed,he probably will be a bastard with dark hair and we already won’t have the Maelor storyline for him,we definitely won’t see him making Ser Hugh and Ulf change sides or any of his victories with Tessarion. He will probably be marginalized like he already is,because again you can only like team black and only them can have the best.
How can you “pick a side” like they desperately want you to do,when they do shit like this?Literally forcing you to like team black because they are paint as the saints/good guys and assassinated every good thing about team green?
Keep telling me that this show is not team black propaganda and that’s is fair like this.

Its honestly so funny how they keep pushing Rhaenyra as the “strong/feminist” character in a society of men when in reality she can’t do shit on her own and always needs men (her dad, husband and corlys) do to things for her because she is just an incredible incompetent.

The dumbass scene with Rhaenyra isn't Alicent's liberation arc; it's simply a shift in who holds her reins. Instead of men, it's Rhaenyra now.
Alicent's true liberation arc should have happened in S1 when she was actively beefing with everyone around her; she was plotting to have Rhaenyra’s treason acknowledged, scheming to outmaneuver Otto, and was not afraid to defy Viserys' wishes.
All of this culminated in the confrontation at Driftmark. That should have been the moment of Alicent's liberation—the point where her worst fears come to life, proving her right; Rhaenyra’s flaunting of her duty finally led to Alicent and her loved ones bearing the consequences.
Viserys, in the same breath as he coddled and protected Rhaenyra, demanded that Alicent let go of her grievances and make peace with the injustices she had endured. At that moment, Alicent realized she deserved better, so she snatched Viserys precious dagger and tried to stab the very woman he ordered her to reconcile with—the same woman who, moments earlier, had demanded that her son be tortured.
Alicent stabbing Rhaenyra should have been the ultimate rejection of Viserys—a moment where she finally broke free from his shackles. That should have been Alicent final stance against her jailor. Alicent refusing to bow to his demands, and is finally free to seek justice for herself.
This should have been Alicent's liberation arc.
