The finished character design for the Dragonborn, Kilrash. ► for sketches. I loved the challenge of drawing believable interaction between Kilrash and Swae, the Bard.⠀ ⠀ It’s hard to make convincing interaction but it adds so much life to the whole piece! You can see how it adds a focal point for the piece and provides an opportunity for other characters to react to their merriment :)⠀ ⠀ My aim in shots like this is to capture an honest reflection of life, removing the element of fantasy and thinking of it as a memorable night out, capturing all the joys, disappointments and potentially regretful actions that usually come when cuttin’ loose and wild shenanigans are involved.⠀ ⠀ This ol’ scaley boi belongs to Gian at @scaraman_cosplay ! if you’re following me and you’re in the fantroll community–if you can even call it a community anymore– i am talking to you in this one. yes you. you specifically. if you think this isn’t about you, i assure you it is. so pay attention cos i’m only going to address this one last time.

you all need to get a fucking grip.

the block button exists for a reason. you are not morally, physically, spiritually, or even fucking legally required to follow someone, or to look at their stuff. if they make shit that offends you? FUCKING LEAVE.

for 8 and a half goddamned months now i have been quiet about this, because some of you have been ‘good’. you’ve carried on with your lives, you’ve just been ‘on the down low’, ‘staying out of it’, ‘not wanting to get involved’. y’all like posts instead of reblogging them cos you don’t want the vicious shitlords throwing the word ‘pedophile’ around like it’s a goddamned toy seeing your name and coming after you next by association.

well congratulations, you’ve fucked it up for literally everyone including yourselves. because, see, what’s happening is that those you didn’t speak up for, and are still not speaking up for, are leaving. you claim that you miss where the community used to be, but you do absolutely NOTHING to keep it together. instead, you LET people leave, you LET them get bullied and harassed, sent death threats–OVER FICTIONAL CHARACTERS LET’S NOT FORGET–because you ‘don’t want to get involved’. and now, with the numbers dwindling, it’s just you in the lion’s den. you’ve fed everyone else to them. it’s a matter of when, not if, that you will be up for their claws and teeth soon.

i’m depressed. i have anxiety. i take medication for both, and still i struggle because that’s the nature of the beast. i never sugar coat that, and there have been at least a few times in my life that i have wanted nothing more than to disappear and never talk to anyone, because then i wouldn’t have to be quite as miserable. so don’t fucking tell me you’re exempt form being a decent fucking human being because you’re sick. don’t you fucking dare. in these last eight and a half months, i have heard of no less than seven people at least toying with the idea of suicide in this community because it’s been too fucking scary, too violent, too quick to condemn. SEVEN PEOPLE. who wanted to DIE. because no one taught these heinous excuses for human beings that telling people to kill themselves is fucking evil, and because nobody came to their rescue in the aftermath.

you have to pick and choose your battles, and i can’t make you do shit. but i CAN tell you that from what i’ve seen, the people who think the witch hunts are exhausting and awful FAR FAR FAR outweigh the people suicide baiting/calling people pedophiles/calling people rape apologists/etc. and if every single one of you actually stood the fuck up and shut that shit down, we wouldn’t have this problem. how you ask? if you see an anon saying nasty shit, track their ip so you can keep them from having sockpuppets hound you; report them to tumblr for going against their TOS (yes! telling people to die is against their rules and is in fact a federal crime in the US if the target follows through! isn’t that crazy??); and then block the absolute shit out of them.  don’t interact with them, not even to @ them to tell them to fuck off. Just give wildly aggressively positive support to your community members being bullied and harassed. speak. the fuck. up. because if you don’t, best case scenario, this community dies within the next year. worst case scenario, members of the community die literally and we only have ourselves to blame.

so all that being said, i better not see a single fucking one of you on my blog or in my likes if you are okay with letting shit like this slide. you do you, do what you think you need to to keep your mental health or whatever in order. but i personally do not want you here. i personally do not abide people who are willing to sit by and let others suffer to that magnitude over fictional fucking stories and characters. and if you can’t wrap your head around why any of this is such a big deal, you especially should leave because i definitely don’t abide people who don’t have enough basic fucking decency to not want their fellow creators, fellow people, to be subject to such toxicity in what by all rights should be a fun relaxing space for a hobby.

and if you’re one of the motherfuckers who think it’s ok to go into people’s messages, usually on anon, to tell them to die because you get some kind of power trip out of feeling morally superior? over FICTION? you are a coward and i hope that not a single fucking person on tumblr, on the internet, on this planet shows you mercy when you finally have to face the consequences of your actions. i can only pray those consequences don’t involve too much loss of life.
