The way Steve and Bucky swap roles in CATFA after Steve gets the serum is so important to me, I don’t know why people don’t talk about it more

They literally mirror each other’s dialogue and actions once Steve becomes the big one and Bucky becomes the sick one, it changes their dynamic for the rest of the series if you pay attention

Anyway I could analyse these two for hours (English lit and film studies student yay!!) but TLDR - I love them so much, as you can probably tell, here is the art <333

Okay I’m only 60 pages in but I FUCKING CALLED IT

So, my sister is watching wicked for the first time and

I would’ve had them kiss but I’m not good enough at drawing for that :(

Something about Wicked is so inherently beautiful, because of how universally relatable it is, no matter what the reason is. If you’ve ever felt different, then Wicked is about you. Simple as that.

The WWOZ was a book by a man with feminist influences who was criticising the capitalist world around him, that was adapted into a classic film. A gay man wrote a book about it. A (to my understanding) mostly Jewish writing team adapted that book into a musical with a Jewish lead. An Asian man directed a film adaptation of that musical with a black queer woman as the lead.

There is so much intertextuality and conversation between the wildly different life experiences these creators will have put into their work. They are all such different perspectives to have on one story, and yet I think any person that has ever felt different will be able to see themselves in it, no matter the reason.

It’s such a beautiful piece on othering and how that feels, I just needed to say something.
