I walked outside from his car trying to catch up with the weight of my emotions. It took so much effort on my end to hold back. With an attempt to calm down, I took a deep breath and shifted my gaze towards the sky.
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
The more I try to hold everything in, the more it got difficult to breathe.
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
Tears started to well up in my eyes. It felt like there was a large lump on my throat that I can barely breathe. I didn’t wanna look vulnerable in front of him, I wanted him to know that I’ve been doing well through all those years
Because maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me
..so I tried to force a smile and sang along with the music that’s playing on the stereo like every word isn’t piercing me
After all, you’re my wonderwall
..then and there,
I lost it.

Loved how the story is realistic. I actually felt the weight of the struggle cause I too have been through that and sometimes you just yearn for someone that says you’re not going through this crap alone. All in all the story is pretty relatable, not your stereotype K-Drama where the lead guy is rich and shiz. Characters gave justice. And the humor! My gosh, there were definitely times where I had to laugh pretty loudly. The plot takes you from laughing to hoping to crying and to picking the pieces back up to make it whole again. Do watch!

Midnight Small Talks
Tumblr media
"I think.. I'm in love with him"
"Haha! Okay"
"Please take me seriously, I'm struggling here"
"Dude, chill. You're not in love with him, you're infatuated with him"
"Huh?"
"Infatuation in Greek means false fire"
"..."
"So yes, whatever you're feeling for him right now is temporary and probably isn't even genuine. People should really stop saying they're in love when they're just infatuated"
"..."
"You guys have been hanging out too much that you think you've fallen for him"
"..."
"Also, you said 'I think I'm in love with him'"
"So?"
"So that's invalid. You sound half-hearted about it"
"Tsss. Okay so how would you have phrased it?"
"I feel in love with him"
"..."
"..."
"Yeah that makes sense"
"Of course it does"
"What should I do then?"
"Wait for unicorns"
"Darn it can you please take me seriously"
"Fiiiine. Well I wanna say approach this rationally but how can you if you sound so emotionally invested in this"
"Yeah.. I am, aren't I"
"Well, think about this way. Just because he's treating you right doesn't mean he's the one for you. He's just doing what he's supposed to do"
"... which is"
"To act like a decent human being"
"..."
"Like I said, what you're feeling is temporary. It'll go away eventually"
"What if it doesn't?"
"As in you still feel strongly for him even after seeing his neurotic side?"
"Yes"
"Then that’s it"
"What?"
"You're trapped"

Definitely a feels trip, the ending is truly heavy and I honestly needed a closure. Excellent cast - portrayed the emotions with expected intensity. The plot is pretty realistic (well, for me at least) There’s just too much tragedy one after another that I had to shout at my screen when the movie ended. I’m relieved that there’s actually a second part of this movie.

Masterpiece from start to finish! Cinematography was above average which I think was perfect for the story line. It wasn't over the top, it wasn't bad either. It complimented well the flow of the cast. I find the soundtracks that came along with the scenes perfect. There were scenes where the mood and feel were ironic with the background music and it was brilliant - kinda had the indie vibe to it. Perfect cast! I found both of the leads as whimsical as they should be.
The story has lines and scenes where the leads take you to a state of confusion - was it real? was it a dream? which one is true? It keeps you on edge and it keeps you going! Definitely worth the watch!
PS: Can I just comment on the ending, look how perfect it is! Both leads in white looking all fresh and purified, perfectly in contrast with the colors of the flowers. The damn flowers are on a suit case, come on! Also, the irony of how this particular scene looks all light but the feelings are actually really heavy.
