"this edible ain't shit" 40 minutes in: war is business. i don’t mean “conquer this land and you will have its riches” business. i mean “creating and maintaining weapons and personnel” is business. weapons need material to be made. weapons can be stockpiled, repaired, transported, sold. soldiers have to be fed and dressed. an entire class of people, a whole pool of clients. companies can develop technologies for armies. supply chains get contracts. all that has changed between wars of conquest and tribal rivalry and now is that war has become optimised for entropy. the weapons of modernity are designed for profitability. modern warfare exists for the purpose of the industry it creates. armies do not exist to fulfill some base need. armies exists for the demand they create.

I made a move that lets Sigfrida throw contextual projectiles (different stages will have different default projectiles). Of course I had to make it so you can weaponise the equipment lost in battle 😈

A look into Demigothic's NEW GUARD SYSTEM

While blocking, you get a set amount of Guard Points. These can only be damaged by Strong Attacks, and are replenished whenever you drop your guard.

...Hitting opponents from behind, on the other hand, instantly makes them flinch out of their guard, even with a weak hit.

You can catch an opponent trying to dodge past you using a Pursuer's Gambit, which is performed out of shield.

If you manage to Break all of the Guard Points, you will Shatter your opponent's guard

Some Strong Attacks break more Guard Points than others, and some can even instantly Shatter your guard.

...But if you drop your guard at the very last moment, against an attack that would have Shattered it, you will Parry the hit, stunning them instead!
