Lots of people are making comment about daylight saving and standard time 🌼. Changing the clocks throughout the house (and because our cars are older - those clocks too) is a pain, and then losing that hour is a drag. . Not off to a great start. And it's all on me. I had received the printed swatches from Spoonflower before I released the designs to the public - but I hadn't looked at them very closely. . The collection from which a sample is featured on the table runner in this picture - the repeat is broken. Somehow, I loaded a bunch of wrong swatches to Spoonflower. . . So, once I realized my f*ck up, I kinda panicked and deleted that last IG post - about having a shop set up. Now I realize I probably should have left it and just edited the caption. Thing is, so many people look at the image and don't really fully read the caption. I know cuz I do it all the time. So, I'm loading a new image with this caption. I will fix and load new designs in a bit. . The broken designs are now disabled so no one can order my mistakes. Before and after - one of my favorite 'bakes.' . Potatoes, jalapenos, cheese, kalamata olives, garlic, onions, Roma tomatoes, several liberal glugs of olive oil, some pepper, and kosher salt. . Roast in the oven at 425 degrees for about 45 minutes. Pull it out of the oven and mash it all up. Note - I quite often don't use cheese, and it works great - sometimes I use feta, just depends on what I have on hand. . Still not feeling great, but I have the week off and the Barn is closed, so I don't have to worry about people being around, and I can concentrate on pulling some fabrics for the new piece. Been dreaming about working on this - just love this phase of the process, when everything is still possible, all the "what ifs" are percolating. . . . Colors will be mostly warm - autumnal, browns, apricot, caramel - with small pops of turquoise. . . Pictures are of hand dyed fabrics in my studio - auditioning the players. . Cotton sheeting is wrapped up with rusty metal and some vinegar in the sink. Can't wait to see how it turns out! . Another recipe from @kitchn - Dutch Baby muffins. Makes 12, so I made half the pan savory by adding chopped onion, sliced pepperoni, and some cheese. The other half I left neutral - and then sprinkled powdered sugar and filled with huckleberry syrup. . . . Only other thing that I did slightly different from the recipe was to divide the butter into the muffin cups, and put the muffin pan in the oven, then set the oven to preheat to 425. That way the butter was fully hot and cooked the chopped onion slightly while I was filling the other cups. . . . . Middle stone attached and now the bead embellishments begins. 😊 . Also, spoke with a woman the other day about a commission. It will be rather a big project, but in smaller chunks.
