Have you been able to still get some exercise in? I want to touch on something I sometimes deal with during these times that I call “gym shame”. - For most people the holiday season means time to indulge and spend time with loved ones. I’m sure you’ve heard “you’re really gonna go to the gym right now?” or “you can take a day off you know” - Now yes, I understand rest days are important and spending quality time with your people is important but ya know what else is important? ME & my mental health! Gym time is for me to practice self care. To get away from everything and nourish myself. I know everyone doesn’t feel that way, which is perfectly fine, but next time your cousin or brother wants to get a lift in before dinner understand that it might be helping him more than you know.
