UnderHeart - Knots
Chapter 22 is here! (Sorry it took me forever...)
Chapter is below and I wish all you Loves a wonderful Saturday! :)
"So....," Papyrus says eyeing me and Sans suspiciously as he sits down on top of his bed in his race car onesie. "You two haven't plotted anything have you?"
I giggle into the pillow I'm holding and Sans causally shrugs, leaning up against his bed frame with a challenging smirk, "of course not bro."
"Riigghhtttt....," Papyrus sighs with an annoyed shake of his skull. "Well do your plans involve me falling off the roof again?"
Sans snorts with laughter but somehow also manages to look deeply offended, "it was you who tripped Pap, my plan was prefect, you just can't sneak correctly."
"I am very sneaky!" Papyrus protests with a yell.
"Yep," Sans agrees rubbing his skull where his ears would be if he head any, "very sneaky."
Papyrus opens his mouth to throw another insult back but I say something before it can escalate any further, "Let's play a game!"
Both of the Skeletons turn to me with amused confusion, as they both mumble out their 'okays.' "What do you wanna play Anna?"
"Uh...," I flush bright red as I realize I don't actually know. I never played a lot of games to begin with, so I guess it has to be the only one I know, "truth or dare?"
"Really?" Sans snorts as Papyrus groans, rearranging himself on the nest of blankets. "If you want to Anna."
"I shall go first," Papyrus announces, staring both me and Sans down, before quickly turning to Sans with a huff and stating loudly, "Truth or Dare brother?"
"Going to go with Dare there Paps, but nothing to bone breaking we got a guest, don't want to scare her with my death defying skills."
Papyrus rolls his white eye lights, but continues on with the game, "come with me on patrol tomorrow."
"You know I'm not the one you should be asking about this," Sans says in a rather stony tone, shifting eye contact to the floor.
"Father will allow it if it's with me," Papyrus reasons, "and besides," he hesitates and sends me a quick just glance before returning his eye lights to Sans hunched form, "we need to talk brother. About many things."
Sans stares at him for a long moment, reading his expression and trying to understand the sincerity in Papyrus's voice. Sans sighs deeply and ruffles his coat, so it looks more like a blanket more then ever. "Fine, I'll do it, but you're talking to Gaster, and just so you know dares are supposed to be things you can do now."
Papyrus smiles, but doesn't say anything as Sans turns to me and mutters "truth or dare?"
"Truth!"
Sans thinks for a second before he nods to himself and lowers his coat blanket so he becomes a regular monster again, "How did you end up down here?"
I instantly glance down at the piece of leather tied around my wrist, I hadn't told anyone but Toriel. Though I knew Sans and Papyrus would both understand, after all they would go to the ends of the earth and back for their own brother.
"I'm looking for someone," I say slowly, and the flood gates open. I tell them everything, the village who hated me, my missing wonderful brother, the weird murderous buttercup, my promise to Toriel, MK's new name, Gerson trying to kill me, and my desire to stay among the monsters despite my need to find Waylon.
"Uhmm....," I fidget with my bracelet as Sans and Papyrus try to process everything I just told them. "If-If you have any-any questions-,"
"No Anna," Sans says quickly shaking his skull and letting a small smile slip onto his face, "You don't have to explain and-and I shouldn't have asked, I'm sorry-I'm so sorry."
Papyrus glances over at his brother with a concerned frown but doesn't say anything as he turns to me, "Well Annabell you certainly have had an adventure during your time in the Underground, I hope me and my brother can make it just slightly less crazy for you."
"Thank you Papyrus,"
"Now I believe it's your turn to dare a certain annoying skeleton...," Papyrus says trying and failing to subtlety glance at his brother.
"Now why would you describe yourself like that Paps?"
Papyrus huffs in annoyance and I can't help but laugh as they start trading insults and in Sans's case, puns.
"Okay-okay," I gasp, coming back from my giggle fit, as the brothers settle down, "Sans truth or dare?"
Sans gasps dramatically and grips the front of his coat like he's been hurt, "I thought I was your favorite skeleton!"
"Truth or dare brother," Papyrus states glaring at Sans as he snickers.
"Dare, again," he states boldly, "I'm a brave fearless skeleton, who's going-,"
"Give me a piece of your jacket."
"What?" Sans asks, suddenly cut short by my sudden request. He looks at me funny as I try to rack my brain for why I just said what I did, it was just the first think I thought of, he's going to think I'm crazy now!
"I-I uh..., never mind."
"No, it's uh," Sans looks down at his jacket and shrugs, "I don't care, I mean look at how well you've taken care of that piece." He gestures to the scrap of Waylon's leather jacket. "I know it will be in good hands," he wiggles out of one of the selves and tears a small strip of the end off, "here you go, don't lose it."
I take the scrap of white fabric gently, this was Sans's most prized possession and he just handed part of it over, because I asked. It almost makes me want to cry, but I hold back the tears and wrap the white fabric around my wrist next to the leather scrap.
"That's no fair!" Papyrus protests getting to his feet and walking over to his wardrobe, he opens it and pulls out a very familiar red cape, "If Sans gets to give you a good luck charm then so do I!"
"I'm not sure how lucky a piece of fabric is Paps," Sans chuckles, but Papyrus returns with a rather unnecessary long red scrap from the end of his cape.
Now I do cry, because these monsters who had reminded me so much of the kind family in my memories that sometimes they blurred into one. These monsters are giving me pieces of them to put next to the only piece of my family I have left. And I know that no matter what happens, no matter if I leave the Underground or find Waylon, I will never forget this.

UnderHeart - Different
Well its kinda late but here’s Chapter 21!
Read under the cut/line below! (Have an amazingly wonderful day Love! :)
Confused, relived, and just the smallest bit worried about Gerson, MK and I decide it would probably be a better idea to not try and walk all the way to castle, especially if Gerson went to report that a human was in the Underground.
MK suggests something called the Temmie Village, but after Gerson I don't think I'll feel safe anywhere but Snowdin. So, MK and I walk all the back through Waterfall, though our trip is much more relaxing and oddly faster then before, and before it's even starting to get dark, we're back in Snowdin. MK escorts me to the Skelton's family's house, filing the snow filled air with plans for what we will do tomorrow to get to the castle. I wish him farewell, and give him a hug before heading inside the house, taking extra special care to wipe off the snow on my clothes and shoes before entering, else Dr. Gaster yells at me again.
"Wha- whose-," Sans freezes in the doorway to the kitchen staring at me with wide blown eye lights and an open jaw. "But your-," he blinks again and manages a forced smile, giving the room a quick glance before he heads over towards me, bones tense and expression guarded.
"Anna are you okay?" He asks giving me a quick once over with his still flickering eye lights, Sans is obviously worried about something. Maybe he thought I would be back sooner or spend the night with MK.
"I'm fine!" I reassure the skeleton, bouncing on the balls of my feet and smiling widely. "MK and me had lots of fun in Waterfall, but it was getting late. We're going to head for the castle tomorrow."
Sans shifts uneasily, glancing around the mismatched living room again as though afraid he's going to be attacked. "Anna-kid, did you-,"
"Brother!" Papyrus yells from the kitchen causing both me and Sans to jump in alarm. "Have you forgotten that you are helping me make super!"
Sans curses under his breath, sends me one last questioning look, then takes off for the kitchen, leaving me alone in the leaving room, dripping melting snow onto the carpet and feeling more then confused.
Thankfully tonight's dinner is far less stressful, even with Gaster present. He's not as imposing as he was the night before, meaning he's longer sending out 'I'm going to kill you' vibes, and has instead settled on a 'I really don't like you, but I will tolerate you.'
Sans is unusually quite, which means he's not making puns the entire time and only talks or jokes when prompted by someone else. This must not be to unusual because both of the other skeletons don't comment on it or treat Sans any differently then normal. But I do notice Papyrus worried frown after Sans mumbles a 'sure' to a question that should have had a more lengthy answer and Dr. Gaster excuses himself from the table after only five minutes and doesn't come back, a silent way of saying we too are free to leave.
I help Papyrus clean up and Sans wanders upstairs to his room, maybe to go to bed early, maybe to read. He didn't say and I'm not sure if I should ask. Papyrus doesn't say anything so I watch, worried, as he shuffles up the stairs, the sticker covered door of his bedroom clicking shut behind him.
"Human?" Papyrus calls, turning around slightly to look over at me and my armful of dirty dishes, "could you bring those over here?"
"R-Right, sorry," I squeak, running over to Papyrus and dumping the flower printed dishes into the hot bubbling sink water.
"I know you are worried about my brother," Papyrus says stiffly, eye lights fouced on the fuzzy yellow sponge in his hand, "Sans is a tough monster in his own way. You've seen his magic. He's stronger then anyone I know. And his spirit is just as strong...," Papyrus lowers the dish he's cleaning as he says it, a weird aching sort of pain and sadness laced with his words. "He's a lot like you Annabell." The big skeleton whispers eyes still focused on the plate in his boney hand, "so bright, willing to take on the whole world, do anything for anyone because its the right thing. Even though he-," Papyrus stops talking, sucking in a sharp breath as though he suddenly realised what he was saying.
He turns to me with a bright smile, that's just slightly to forced, "Why don't you go talk to Sans?" He offers, finally setting the flower printed plate aside to dry, "I'll finish cleaning, you try to cheer my stubborn brother up okay?"
I want to ask Papyrus what he was going say, ask a thousand other questions about him and this weird broken monster family, but I force a smile of my own and nod. With a quick 'okay,' I'm up the stairs and knocking on the skeleton brother's door. Sans mumbles out a "The door's open," and assuming that means I come in, I enter the messy room.
Blankets still cover the floor from last night's sleepover, and furniture is just slightly pushed into walls and across the blue carpeted floor. Sans himself is sitting on the edge on his unmade bed, quickly flipping through a notebook. He doesn't look up at me but does say some variation of hello, all of his attention obviously fousced on the notebook in his hands. Maybe Sans was just having a Sciency thought? Something important about his work with Dr. Gaster in the labs.
But Sans frowns at his notebook, stopping at a page and carefully reading over the words scribbled there, his shoulders fall and he sighs deeply, a defeated look settling in over his frame.
"Sans?" I call out, glancing down at the blankets before kicking off my boots and heading over to him. He jerks up at his name, he must have forgotten I was here. "Everything's going to be okay," I promise the white jacket wearing skeleton. "I'm sorry your thing didn't work out, but I promise we can do it together. And me and Papyrus have your back!" He looks confused for a moment, like he's not quite sure this is happening but his shoulders relax and a smile slips onto his face, a real smile.
"Thanks Anna," he laughs, the notebook slipping from his fingers to fall to the floor with a soft muffled thud. "I really needed that," he admits giving me a thankful pat on the head, before he straightens himself back out, looking every bit like the smart punny skeleton we all know and love.
"Let's go get Paps and get this party started."

UnderHeart - Warning: Turtles Bite Too
Chapter 20!?1?!!! What! Can you Loves believe it!?! We are all the way on chapter 20! This is insane! \^o^/
Well we all the drill by now, but just because i guess its tradition now, the story is below, under the cut. (Hope you enjoy and super big thanks for reading this! :)
“Come on, come on, come on!” MK bounces, chocolate eyes alight with overflowing excitement. “We don’t want to miss it!” He cries, swishing his tail around behind us like a very mad broom.
“I’m hurrying,” I say with a little huff, hoisting the sunshine yellow umbrella a little higher into the air so the rain will stop hitting MK on the top of his spikes. “And what are we trying to see anyway?”
MK’s eyes sparkle and his face twists into a huge smile that shows off all his little sharp teeth, “Why, I’m going to show you the most amazing monster in the whole Underground!”
I raise an eyebrow at that statement, because I highly doubt anyone could be cooler then Sans, or tougher then Undyne, or kinder then Toriel, or as good a cook as Papyrus, but I still nod at MK’s statement. Obviously whoever this monster was they meant a lot to him, so I will wait to make my own judgments.
Before to long we finally make it out of the Waterfall part of Waterfall, MK runs ahead as I try to get the umbrella back in it’s holder, abandoning me to the cold wet caves all by myself. I hurry after him as fast as I can, and I do finally catch up, but only because MK’s staring into space dreamily in the middle of the cave.
He snaps out of it pretty quick and then proceeds to gush on and on about some monster I haven’t even meet, and about how cool he is and how dangerous and amazing his job as the The Captain of the Royal Gaurd is, and if only I had run a little faster I could have seen him. I nod along, but overall just try to get him back on track, which is us getting out of this cold wet cave.
“I cannot believe how unlucky you are!” MK says with a bounce as we start heading across a bridge made of rock that hangs over a cliff I can’t see the bottom of. “If you had just-,”
“MK,” I breathe heavily with a sigh, “I get it, I’m sorry I missed it, can we adventure now?”
MK smiles sheepishly and nods in agreement, spinning around quickly so I won’t see his reddening scales. “Let’s just-,” he slips on wet rocks as he tries to hurry across the bridge. “Annabell!” He yells as he slides over the edge, his sharp shark like teeth the only thing keeping him from falling into the pit below.
“Hold on I’m-,”
“And wha’ are you two youngens up to?” An amused and powerful voice asks from the the side of the cave we just left.
“My friend is in trouble!” I explain quickly, not sparing the new monster a glance as I tug on MK’s sweater, trying and failing to pull him up. “Can you help me-,”
“Now why in the name of the Stars would I ever help you?” The voice asks, with the same lighthearted tone. “I bet it’s your fault he’s down there in the first place,” he goes on, “right human?” And this time the voice is directly behind me. I freeze up, scared out of my mind, but I keep my grip on MK and pull again. I won’t let him die just because I’m a weak human.
“Annabell’s my friend!” MK protests, unlatching from the ledge to yell. He slides another five inches down the side of the bridge before he grabs another outcropping of rock with his teeth.
“Please you have to-,” I’m pushed roughly out of the way, and almost go tumbling over the edge of the bridge myself. In my place stands a turtle, a turtle with light yellow skin and a grey shell, covered with pictures of war, in the very middle is the same Delta Rune as my cloak. He walks on two legs despite being a giant turtle and has a large hammer strapped to his belt.
“Here we go youngen,” he says, easily hoisting MK over the edge by the back of his yellow sweater and dropping him on his butt, safe and sound on top of the bridge. “No more careless ‘ventures for you, k?” He orders pointing a rather dismissive finger at the armless monster. “Now run ‘long. I have business with this here human, and it isn’t pleasant for youn’ eyes to be witnessin’.”
MK jumps to his feet quicker then the turtle monster can turn around, “She’s my friend!” He yells, hoping over to where I am and definitely standing in front of me, with a glare in his eyes. “You have to understand Gerson!” He cries as the turtle monster with a mustache, Gerson, sighs deeply. “She tried to save me! No evil human would do that!”
Gerson ponders that for a second and it’s all the time MK needs, he bends down and grabs my cloak in his teeth pulling me up and then dragging me off the bridge. “Hey! Get back here ye two!” Gerson yells after us as we race through the maze of slippery caves and glowing mushrooms.
“We just have to make it to Hotland!” MK yells over Gerson’s constant stream of monster bad words, “he doesn’t like the heat and won’t follow us!”
“How much longer?” I ask as I notice that we’re starting to lose ground and my lungs are burning.
“Not far!” He pants rounding a corner with wide eyes, “THERE!”
In front of us stretches a faint neon sign, which reads “HOTLAND”. It seems we did make it. I won’t die here, I’ll keep my promise to Waylon, I’ll find him!
Suddenly everything stops, I trip over the air and land face first on the hard stone ground. MK slides to a stop in front of me, his eyes wide in horror, looking back I understand why, a Fight screen as appeared in front of me, along with my floating white soul.
Gerson huffs in his place 20 feet from me, his own fight screen floating before him, though his soul is nowhere to be seen. He squints funnily at my white soul and eyes the spot where my [ATTACK] button should be with a strange expression on his face.
“Finally caught ya human,” he huffs hand hovering over his [ATTACK] button, “Now we can finish tis the right way.”
I swallow thickly as MK yells from behind me for Gerson to stop. His own Fight Screen and white soul appearing before him as he slides into place next to me, a determined look in his chocolate eyes. I want to tell him to leave, to run away and leave me, because there is no way we can beat this monster, the leader of the Royal Guard. But I know MK won’t leave no matter what I say, so I take a deep breath and prepare myself to defend MK.
“Look,” Gerson sighs shaking his head in annoyance, but never removing his hand from its position above the [FIGHT] button. “I know you’re jus’ tryin’ to protect your friend. But listen here youngen that’s a human, and it’s going to kill you. So before it does I’m going to kill it.”
MK doesn’t say anything for a long moment, then he takes a deep breath and head buts the [ACT] button, pulling up another menu which leaves me breathless at its contents. Every single option is [DEFEND].
He head buts the screen again and moves in front of me, puffing out his shoulders and standing on the tips of his toes so he’s taller and more imposing. “I used to look up to you!” MK yells across the field, “You’re the strongest monster in the whole Underground and they say you’re the reason the King came back alive from the final battle!” He yells, as Gerson flinches at the memory. “But you’re just a bully! Annabell is my friend and you’re not going to hurt her! Human or not she saved me!!”
Gerson stares at us, wide eyed and mouth agape, confusion etched into his very soul. But pain also clouds his startled eyes, pain and fear. The Fight screens vanish along with our souls.
“Thank you for not-,” I start to say, only to blink in confusion when I stare at an empty cave, Gerson is gone.

UnderHeart - Cave Spider Cider
Chapter 19 is here!
And I know I said end of last week for the new chapter… I’m really sorry Loves, i assure you I’m not giving up on this AU, things just may be slower as i work on my other projects too.
So without further ado, below the line you shall find your newest chapter.
A wet mist hangs in the air, coating everything and everyone in a thin layer of water. The stone floor is uneven and slippery, stalagmites rise from the ground like rocky teeth, and strange glowing mushrooms and flowers grow out of the solid rock, illuminating the cave. Above us tiny white crystals reflect the light from mushrooms and flowers making what looks like a night sky. A river of melted snow flows next to the road, filling the cavern with the sounds of running water.
“This is amazing…,” I mutter, staring up at the crystal covered ceiling, as MK bounces next to me with a sharp toothed grin.
“You haven’t even seen the really cool stuff!” He says running ahead of me and slipping to a stop at a sentry station. “Come on Annabell we have to hurry if you want to reach the castle before bedtime!”
I chuckle and pick up the edges of my purple cloak as I run after him, “I’m coming!”
I slide to a stop next to him, not quite sure why we are stopping, especially after he yelled at me to hurry up, but he turns around quickly and stares expectantly up at the monster seated in the sentry station. It’s a spider creature, six long light purple legs, five black eyes, and two sharp fangs. Long black hair flows down the monsters shoulders, ending at her second elbow. The spider sends us a small smile, it’s hands fidgeting around it.
“Can I help you?” The monster asks sweetly in high pitched cheery voice. Two of her hands straighten the white bow on the top of her head, as another two brush out the wrinkles in her white bowed blouse.
“Come on Muffet!” MK whines, hoping up and down, a pleading look in his big chocolate eyes. “We’re going on an adventure! We need to be prepared!”
Muffet, the spider monster, laughs so hard she has to grab her stomach in her mirth. MK huffs in annoyance and puffs out his Orange scaled cheeks, glaring up at the spider monster and stomping his three toed feet into the ground. “It’s not funny!” MK protests, “we are going to visit the King and everything!”
Muffet quiets her laughter and looks down at us skeptically, “well if you’re going on such a long trip I guess I can give you some samples,” she hums, and MK’s glitter and his mouth starts to droll, “but no blabbering to those Hotland crones about you getting them for free again you hear me!?!” Muffet snaps, pointing a wooden spoon dangerously close to our faces. I squeak out a yes as MK bounces in excitement and nods eagerly, completely unfazed by the cooking instrument inches from his snout.
“Well then here,” and Muffet reaches under the guard station and pulls out two donuts and small purple bottle. “No dying and share.” She orders, as I scoop all the food into my school bag.
“Thanks Muffet!” MK yells as he races off down the cave, me hurrying to catch up behind him.
“That’s Miss Muffet you ungrateful monsters!” Muffet yells after us, as we giggle and race through the echo flower filled caves of Waterfall.
We don’t slow down till we come to Abu key full of umbrellas, all of them bright happy pastels. MK insists on the bright yellow one, so I pick it up and we continue on our way, slightly less in rush now that we’re getting rained on.
Our laughter echoes off the walls along with a strange musical tune that has me slowing my pace.
MK slides to a stop and trots back over to me, a knowing grin plastered on his orange scales. “Wanna see the statue?”
“Statue?” I echo, as MK bounds off, his tail nearly knocking over a poor tub looking creature, that yells at us to wash our hands.
“This statue!” MK states loudly, jumping to a stop in front of an old water ruined statue of what I guess is a monster. Over the statues head is a white umbrella, which is keeping the light drizzle from the waterfall off the the statue. Who ever put it there must have been a very kind monster because without an umbrella they would have gotten soaked no matter which direction they where walking.
“Listen Annabell,” MK says stilling his bouncing and leaning toward the statue, I follow his example and after a minute a soft tune glows form inside the rock.
“The statue is playing music?” I ask in amazement starting up and the statue in wonder as to why someone would build such a statue.
“It’s always done that!” He chirps, moving back under our sunshine yellow umbrella, “Now onwards with our quest!”
I laugh and chase on after him, doing my best to keep us both dry.

Thank you everyone who voted! I’m honestly really surprised by the results, it was overwhelmingly decided that you Loves want to wait till the next book and have the characters be revealed naturally. I’m impressed by your resolve.
So again thanks for voting Loves! Have a great day! The new chapter should be out before next week! :)
Timeline Poll
If you’ve poked around any of my FAQ stuff you know that the Ivory Timeline is not the only Timeline set in the UnderHeart AU. (I have two others planed at the moment)
And as of yesterday I basically finished them. (And all of UnderHeart Ivory’s final plot holes.) So If you Loves are interested I will reveal some stuff about these Timelines early. (Nothing spoilerly, just character descriptions and their AU names.)
So i’m going to take a poll and see what you Loves think. If you want to wait till the second book starts and see how the characters naturally appear in the story or if you want a sneak peak.

UnderHeart - Old Journeys & New Friends
Chapter 18!
Same as it always is and forever shall be, the story is below the line. (Have an amazingly wonderful day Loves! :)
For sleeping on the floor I had a wonderful night’s rest. Even my dreams were unusually good, full of bright smiles, shining blue eyes, perfectly styled dirty blond hair, and warm hands holding mine. I had forgotten how much I missed my brother as I played house with the monsters of the Underground, but after last night my conviction is renewed.
I wanted to explain to everyone that I had to continue on my journey to find my brother, but the most important person was gone when I woke up. Replaced with a crumbled piece of paper covered in terrible handwriting.
“Sorry about the note. But don’t feel to bonely Anna. I’ll be back later. Just had to run some errands for Mr. Lab coat. But just cause I’m gone doesn’t mean you can be stupid. Don’t go wondering off alone, most monsters won’t notice your human but some of the real old timers where alive during the war, they will know instantly. If you find yourself in a wet area make sure you bring a umbrella and some sort of light, caves are dark in the Underground. Stay close to your friends, they’re all you have down here.
With many puns, Sans”
The note was odd, and I felt something was off. It was as if Sans was giving me instructions on what to do next. So I pocketed the note and tried to act like nothing was wrong. Sans said to stay close to my ‘friends’ and yes I like Papyrus and Undyne is unique. But I don’t think that their friends… right? I mean… Waylon has described his friends before and they don’t sound like Papyrus or Undyne.
Breakfast is much more eventful now that Gaster is gone, and to my surprise after breakfast Papyrus lets me go where I please. Saying simply that he only dragged me around yesterday because his father wanted it, but I was penalty Welcome to come with them again. The way he worded it made me almost feel guilty for refusing, but my brother came first. And after I found Waylon we where going to have to travel back through the Underground to get to Toriel’s, so I could hang out with Papyrus and Undyne then.
I wave them goodbye and head off towards the opposite side of town, my purple cloak wrapped tightly around me. But I barely make it ten minutes out of Snowdin before I’m ambushed by a small yellow dinosaur like monster, wearing a sleeveless sweater, and smiling widely.
“Yo, you!” The monster yells gesturing at me with his head, “You’re Undyne’s new friend right!?!”
“Uh Yeah,” I agree with a little nod, brushing some blond hair out of face so I can see the monster in front of me better. “I’m Annabell.”
The armless monster grins widely showing off an impressive mouth full of white pointed teeth. “And I’m Monster Kid!”
I blink in confusion as he hops over, only coming up to my elbows. His large chocolate eyes staring up at me in awe. He just said his name was monster kid? What kind of name is that?
“Is…,” I trial off unsure if by asking about his name I’ll offend him or not. “Is Monster Kid you’re actual name?”
The small dinosaur like monster stops hopping up and down and gives me an odd look before smiling again, this time letting out a half choked laugh. “No,” he admits shaking his head impossibly fast, “don’t have a name and every one started calling me Monster Kid so it stuck.”
I stare at the little monster in horror, my life was bad, I knew that other kids weren’t treated like me, but they didn’t have white souls. But this monster is with his people, and he doesn’t even have a name, a name. The thought is almost unthinkable.
I puff out my chest and lean down to the little monster’s height, staring him straight in the eyes. He looks worried, surprised, and uncomfortable, all at once, but I take him by his shoulders and smile brightly.
“If you don’t have a name,” I state seriously, “then we will just have to give you one.”
The dinosaur monster blinks, then opens his mouth, then stares at me in confusion. Finally he seems to understand what I mean, and large crocodile tears start to trail down his face. I fumble about not sure what to do, as he lets out loud harsh sobs that echo around the empty fields of snow.
“Hey,” I try in my best calming tone, but my voice is shaky and my confidence less then zero, “everything is okay we don’t have to change your name it was just idea,” the sobbing gets louder and I don’t think I’m helping at all. “I’m sorry,” I apologize patting his shoulders again, “I’m sorry, Uh,” I flatter, not sure using his real name would help and instead use the first alternate that pops in my head, “it’s okay MK,” I soothe wrapping the monster in a hug he can’t return, as his breath hitches and his sobbing stops abruptly. I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad sign but I keep doing it. “Everything is going to be okay.” I mumble rubbing his back, being extra careful to avoid his spikes.
He hiccups and pulls out of my hug. His chocolate eyes are still watery with unshed tears, but he’s not crying anymore. Actually he’s smiling, smiling like he was just handed the world.
“MK,” he repeats with a nod, and I nod back confirming that it’s what I said. He practically glows with happinesses. “I love it.” He states loudly spinning in a circle and almost hitting me with his tail. “MK, MK, MK!” He cheers excitedly hoping up and down, his smile only getting bigger, and soon I’m smiling and laughing along with him.
“Thank you,” he says for maybe the thousandth time as we wade through the snow together. I had explained my goal of getting out of the Underground and though MK thought me both crazy and very brave, he agreed to show me the way. Well he basically begged me to let him come along, saying he wanted to 'repay me’ for giving him a name. I said no on the repaying but he could come as a willing friend if he wanted. He immediately agreed, and now here we are, knee deep in snow staring at a very suspicious looming cave entrance that’s supposed to lead us to someplace called 'Waterfall’.
“It’s not that scary once your inside,” Mk promises and practically runs into a stalagmite in his hurry. Not having anything else to do, and certainly not wanting to stay out alone in the cold, I follow after the child monster into the cave.

Andrew
Okay, some explaining first. Andrew is the gender-swapped version of Annabell. But being me, I couldn’t let the idea just sit around, so here’s a whole bunch of random knowledge about a character I will probably never write.
…………………………………….
Traits-
- Doesn’t speak at all (can speak but is traumatized from the bullying and refuses to speak out anymore)
- Speaks in sign language (though not very good sign language)(his older sister Waverley taught him everything she could learn.)
- Impossible to sneak up on (ears like a bat)
- Scares easily from loud noises(anything louder then normal talking level) and runs away from any situation he deems dangerous(which are most situations.) (He also likes to hide behind people like a toddler, even if he doesn't know them)
- Doesn't like being alone
- Loves to cuddle with anything fluffy (ex. Toriel, Annoying Puppy, Sans’s Jacket, ect.)
- Has long internal monologues with himself
- Doesn't have a lot of self worth but thinks everyone else is amazing no matter who they are or what they do(and will fight about their amazing-ness with anyone, even them)
Physical appearance -
- Short sleeved white polo shirt, with a sleeve-less green sweater vest over top (school’s symbol/crest on the top left)
- White summer shorts
- Short Boots (ankle height)
- Messy blond hair (bangs hang in his sliver eyes) (slight wave to hair)
- Wears broken sliver framed glasses
- Dirty white bandages wrap around his knees and shins also along his forearms and hands.
Other-
- Carries a old blue notebook and cheap throw-away pen which he writes in to communicate (has beautiful handwriting)
- Allergic to Buttercups (just like Annabell)
- Sans nicknames him Ann, (pronounced like “Raggedy Ann”)
- Waverley is Waylon only female. She is basically the same overprotective big sibling. (Hair is a tad longer and she’s a lot more no-nonsense then her male counterpart.)

UnderHeart - Roommates
We are now on chapter 17, and by the Stars is it a large chapter! I was going to split it up into two chapters but there just wasn’t a good breaking point so you Loves get a huge chapter. :)
As always the story is below the cut! (Have a wonderful and amazing week Loves!)
At some point while I was trying to figure out how Sans could have endless joke books hidden in quantum physics books, Papyrus and Undyne made up. Which meant Undyne was back to normal, or whatever is considered normal for her.
"When is your lazy brother and weird dad getting home again Papyrus!?!" Undnye yells, as she flops down on the couch next to me, her leather chest plate and boots laying in a pile by the door, but her spear is still strapped to her back, ready for anything.
"They said before nightfall!" Papyrus yells back from the kitchen, where he is making the only dish he ever makes, Monsteroni, though after two days I have now started to truly appreciate the taste, especially since Papyrus manages to make it different each time without even trying.
"Well the sun is setting and I'm tired of-," Undyne gets cut off, as the front door opens and a patch covered skeleton comes inside grumbling to himself about some formula, but I'm just happy that someone not crazy is back. I jump off the couch and practically tackle Sans into his dad who came through the door behind his son.
Gaster scowls at me as Sans laughs at my welcome home hug, ruffling my blond curls in thanks. "Didn't think you where that bonely without me."
A groan echoes from the kitchen and a  round of giggles passes through the room, as Gaster huffs and pointedly ignores me as he marches past Sans and me. He stops at the blue plaid couch Undyne is still sprawled across and stares down at her as she shifts into a more socially acceptable seating posture, "Are you staying the night?"
Undyne looks surprised, as though she's normally not allowed over, but she nods quickly and gives off her biggest, sharp toothed smile. "I would love to Doc!"
Gaster nods and heads up the stairs not once looking back downstairs at us as he disappears into the room on the far end of the upstairs hallway.
Undyne shivers and looks over at Sans her ear fins fully extended, and her yellow eyes wide, like a cat on a hunt. "No offence," She grumbles as her eyes, fins, and posture slowly relax, "but your dad is creepy."
Sans nods, his ever present smile now a thin line of worry. "He's like that," he mutters mostly to himself, but since I'm still clinging to him like my life depends on it I hear it. Sans glances down at me and his smile is soon back in place. "I'm sure Pap is almost done with dinner, let's join him."
I want to protest, I want to demand answers, both from Sans and from Papyrus and Undyne, But I don't really think now is the time. So I puff out my cheeks in a obvious show of my annoyance and follow after a thoroughly amused Sans into the kitchen.
Dinner is uneventful, or I suppose quiet would be a better word. As soon as Gaster takes his seat all conversations stop, and we all just sit there poking at our food as Dr. Gaster takes all the time in the world to eat his. He also decides to fill the silence with all the normal parent questions like, "How was your day?" and "Did the Human cause any trouble?" Papyrus and Undyne both answer with short well worded responses. And after 30 boring and tense minutes Gaster leaves the table, signalling that we can too.
"I can't believe he's letting me stay over!" Undyne exclaims loudly, flexing her arms in excitement as Papyrus and I clean up the dishes. "Though I'm going to miss the rush of sneaking in..." she hums, as Sans rolls his eye lights and starts heading up the stairs. "Guess we will have to just do something else forbidden!"
"No you won't," Sans huffs, glaring at Undyne from the top of the stairs, "It's my room too Fish, and I'm not getting blamed for your stupidity."
"My name isn't Fish, you Lazy Skeleton Nerd!!!" Undyne roars, racing up the steps, her spear drawn.
I turn to Papyrus in a panic, but he just sighs and continues cleaning the Spring themed dishes. "Do not worry Annabell," he says, drying off the last dish with a sunshine yellow towel. "That is just how they are, I have never understood it, but it is best to not question it."
I nod slowly, even though I'm still concerned for Sans's life. Undyne isn't someone to take things not seriously. Even if they are just playing she could still hurt him.
Papyrus must see I'm still worried so he quickly takes off his frilly apron and leads me out of the room where Undyne is standing at the top of the stairs glaring at a smugly smiling Sans. Undyne's white soul is glowing brightly in chest showing a fight, but Sans's own soul is no where to be seen.
Undyne lunges for him, and I can feel my white soul flicker to life for a moment as I'm filled with worry, but Sans just snaps his fingers and with a poof of white light is gone. Undyne growls in annoyance like this is a common occurrence and a moment later Sans reappears with a tiny flash of white light right in front of me, still smiling smugly.
"Sorry Undyne, looks like I still win!" He calls over his shoulder, as Undyne grumbles and seethes her weapon. Sans turns back to us, smile wide and carefree. "So....," he drags out looking between my relived look and Papyrus's annoyed one. "Time to hit the hay?"
"Come along older brother," Papyrus orders with a sigh and shake of his skull, grabbing Sans by the black fluff that lines his jacket hood, and dragging him upstairs. "Good night Annabell." Papyrus calls from the top of the stairs.
Undyne looks down at me confused as me and Sans share a wave, "Where does the human sleep?" She asks, her blue fins wiggling in a manor that shows her uncomfortableness in asking that question.
Papyrus looks down at the floor as Sans lets out a sigh and sends a very obvious glare down the upstairs hallway towards his father's room. "Our dad won't let her upstairs, 'a safety hazard' he said, so she has to sleep on the couch."
Undyne blinks and looks back down at me with her yellow eyes. I smile sheepishly and fidget where I stand, not sure what to do. It would be rude to go to bed with them still in the room, and honestly I'm not that tired.
"Well if you don't mind Sans I'm going to break some more rules," Undyne boasts, heading back down the stairs. "And honestly its only because this rule is stupid."
I stiffen as Undyne stops in front of me, she gives me a wide smile that shows off her pointy teeth, then she's leaning down and swinging me onto her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. I don't really protest because I know Undyne can crush me in two seconds flat, but I have no idea what she's doing.
"Undyne?" Papyrus asks in a confused voice, as Sans just stares at her in amazement, an amused smile slowly working its way across his skull.
"We all know this kid couldn't effectively even hurt a rock, so move aside."
They both do just that, and Undnye kicks in the door, flipping me down in the square middle of room. She stands in front of me, striking a proud heroic pose as Sans and Papyrus come into the room, both smiling happily.
"Well looks like this sleepover just got a little more crowded," Sans jokes, as he turns to the left side of the room where a unmade bed, a pile of clothes, bedside table with skull shaped lamp, a desk covered in papers, a closet door, and a little white dog fast asleep all are.
He moves to the closet as I move to the dog, remembering it from Snowdin when Undyne was trying to kill me. She called it something I think...
"When did he get here?" Undyne asks pointing at the dog, as she flops down on the neatly made bed on the opposite side of the room. The right side is basically a mirror of the left, expect clean, with a lamp of a car, and a over-packed bookshelf instead of a messy desk.
"The Annoying Puppy has been showing up here ever since Sans feed him when we where baby bones," Papyrus explains with an annoyed sigh, "you have just had the luck of not meeting him until now."
Undyne raises an eyebrow at his obvious dislike of the animal as I start to scratch him behind his ears. His tail starts to wag in his sleep, as Sans reappears with an arm full of blankets.
"Well since you are the guest Undyne, would you like my bed?" Sans asks flopping down next to me on the newly formed blanket nest.
"Your pile of filthy sheets?" Undyne asks back with a disgusted look, "never!"
Sans shrugs and pulls me closer to him, "Well I feel sorry for you because I get to sleep with my friend."
Undyne's eyes narrow and she rounds on Papyrus who is mostly asleep by this point and grabs him by the leg, hauling him out of his bed with a startled scream. "I have friends too." She huffs as Papyrus breathes heavily and gives her an incredulous look.
"And what was that for?" He demands, as Undyne starts to take the rest of her armor off.
"Guess your sleeping with the fish Paps," Sans says with chuckle, as he let's go of my shoulder. I let out a giggle of my own as Papyrus glares at us, but Sans ignores him and gets up, going to the closet again.
"Are we going to start this sleepover or not?" Undyne complains as she elbows Papyrus for trying to crawl back into his own bed.
"Yeah, but Papyrus is still wearing his training gear, and as much as I love this jacket I'm not sleeping in it." Sans replies coming back with a few stacks of clothes. One gets tossed at Papyrus who catches it easily and excuses himself to get properly dressed for sleep, and another gets placed in my lap. "No offence kid, but how long have you been wearing that?"
I feel my face flush as I take the clothes, my soul burning in my chest. I mutter some sort of apology and run out of the room. I can hear Undyne laughing from behind the closed door, and thankfully I don't see a half naked Papyrus anywhere, so I quickly take my cloak off along with my dress and slip on the way too big t-shirt and shorts, thankfully the shorts have strings, so at least they aren't falling down. The shorts are a soft blue color and the white shirt has a faded picture of a cute pink bunny like monster on it.
As I'm gathering up my clothes Papyrus appears from down the stairs carrying his own clothes and amor. We look at each for a moment taking in the other's outfit, Papyrus is wearing a onesie, with a race car print, and slippers shaped like dinosaurs.
"Would you like me to wash that?" He asks gesturing towards the clothes in my arms, "I was just about to do mine."
I smile and nod my thanks as Papyrus takes the clothes and disappears into the room in between his and Gaster's. I had thought it was a closet but apparently it's the washer room. I wait till Papyrus comes back out then we both enter back into the bedroom. Sans is already dressed in a ratty white hoodie that's not really white anymore and fuzzy pajama bottoms covered with unicorns, and Undyne has removed all her armor, leaving her in a gray tank-top and black pants, with that sliver locket hanging around her neck.
"So are we going to play party games or-," Sans doesn't even get to finish before Undyne is butting in excitedly.
"Truth or Dare, right now you Nerds!" She demands, slamming her fist onto a pillow and sending white feathers everywhere.
"Chill," Sans pleads, removing a feather from the top of his skull. "Any volunteers that want to go first?"
Papyrus sighs and raises his hand, "I will play, but we have work tomorrow and it's already midnight, so only one round."
"Fine." Undyne agrees, settling herself against the frame Papyrus's bed, "go Rookie."
Papyrus sends her a glare and coughs into his hand as he scans his possible victims. I've never actually played this game, only heard about it from other kids and Waylon. Papyrus hums and the Annoying Puppy climbs his way into my lap with a soft whine. I start scratching him behind the ears again as Papyrus points at Undyne with a glitter in his sockets.
"Truth or Dare Undy-," he starts to ask but Undyne doesn't even let him finish before she answers.
"Dare!"
Papyrus smiles like he expected as much, he puffs out his rib cage and stares defiantly down at the reclining Undyne, "I dare you to apologize to Annabell for your previous behavior and to promise that you will now, from this moment on, treat her with same respect you would any other monster."
I stare at Papyrus, not quite believing the words. Sans looks equally stunned too, but a fond smile rests on his skull as he stares at his twin brother. Undyne shifts her gaze from Papyrus to me, uncertainty clear in her yellow cat like eyes.
"You're not backing out are you Fish?" Sans dares, and that's all the push Undyne needs for her to shoot up and move over to me, eyes glowing and fists clenched.
"From this moment on you are my friend got it?" She orders, staring down at me, "and I'm sorry about trying to kill you."
"That's fine!" I squeak pulling the Annoying Puppy into my arms, as I stare up at Undyne, "And-and I would love to-to be your friend."
Undyne nods, and turns around on her heel, marching back to her seat with a huff. She glares over at Sans and bites out, "Truth or Dare, Nerd?"
"Tough one...," Sans mumbles to himself, as Undyne's fins twitch. "But I'll go Truth."
Undyne looks a little surprised by this, as dose Papyrus, I assume Sans likes to go with Dare normally. Undyne bites her lip and stares at a white feather that's floating in the air, a rather intense look on her face.
"Alright." She announces after 5 minutes of silence, "Why did you decide to befriend a human? You know the laws."
I look over at Sans as he hums and leans back, switching his weight to his arms, as he evaluates Undyne. "Because I didn't want to bother with catching her."
Papyrus snorts, and I hide my giggles in my hand as Undyne stares at Sans in complete horror. "You could have been killed!" She yells, pointing an accusing finger at Sans, "And just because you where too lazy...," she mutters to herself, as Sans shrugs sitting back up.
"Sorry Undyne, I was bone tired," he explains.
Groans echo around the room, as I brake into laughter unable to control my amusement. Undyne cracks a smile even as she glares at Sans.
"To bed!" Papyrus orders, making a shooing motion with his hand, "all of you and no more puns!"
"That's a shame...," Sans sighs, standing up, all his bones popping back into their rightful places. "I had a skel-ton more."
"Sans!" Papyrus complains, as he pulls a blanket over his skull. Sans laughs and starts getting underneath his own covers.
Undyne grumbles at all the noise. Flopping onto the floor and rolling over into a comforter. She wiggles around and settles down only after she's wrapped herself in the blanket like a fish burrito.
I wait till everyone else is ready before I pick myself up and move over to the furthest corner, turning off the light as I do. I snuggle under the blankets, the warmth making me almost instantly fall asleep, but a soft voice pulls me back from the edge of darkness.
"Goodnight Anna."
I smile to myself and mumble back the only logical response, "Night Waylon..."

Annabell’s Adult Aesthetic
Blond hair braided messily
Flower prints and pastels
Plastic rings and diamond eyes
White lace framing a smiling face
Bare feet stained with grass
Glitter painting every inch of skin
Daisies woven into crowns of sunshine
Too many bracelets and yet not enough
Dresses and skirts twirling around dorm rooms
Nails painted like a rainbow as the sky cries
Pillow fights in onesies and blankets
Leaving milk for strays on the run to class
Humming songs while tapping a rhinestone pen
Skipping down empty corridors laughing at memories
A woman who never got to live as girl
Now unafraid to live her childhood
She is a princess
Forever crowned in golden happiness

<First Chapter of UnderHeart>
<Masterlist>
I don’t know why, but I had this random thought about what Annabell would be like when she’s older. So I wrote a bunch of my thoughts down and it turned into a poem. I hope you Loves enjoy this completely random ramble about my OC.
(This is my official opinion of what Annabell would be like as an 18 year old Freshman in college. And all the rest of her adult life.)

UnderHeart - Angel of Fire
Chapter 16!!!!!
Story is below! (Wishing all the Loves a late Happy New Year!)
As soon as I close the door to the bar behind me, yelling starts, loud angry yelling. Shivers go down my spine, as for a second I'm not miles underground surrounded by monsters but trapped in a blue painted house, with no Brother to comfort me, and two very angry parents whose only comfort is taking their problems out on their worthless child. I move as fast as I can, almost full out running away from the door, I don't care if I make a fool of my myself in front of a bunch of monsters, as long as the yelling stops.
I run into something-someone if the gasp of surprise means anything. I regain my bearings long enough to realize I'm falling, then suddenly I'm not. I open my tightly shut eyes and stare up at a ceiling of orange light - no - not a ceiling, a face, a face made of fire.
"I-I'm Sorry," I mutter out, blinking in confusion up at the flame monster. The flames flicker a little brighter, and I think I see the ghost of a smile form through the flames. Then I'm set back on the ground, on my own two unsteady booted feet.
"You okay pup," a voice asks from behind me, I turn around and meet two dog monsters, one female, one male, both wearing simple armor and covered in white fur. They look at me worriedly and all I can do is nod in my complete embarrassment. They both nod back, smiles on their faces, "Good" the lady says. "Had us worried pup." The guy agrees.
"Don't think I've ever seen anything move so fast," another voice chimes in, its another white-fur dog monster, this one is obviously still a teenager, and a punk, with piercings, a collar, black jeans, and a camouflage tank-top.
"Don't mind them," yet another voice cuts in and suddenly the monster child from this morning is standing in front of me, his eyes huge in wonder. "You came here with Undyne right! Tell me everything dude! Come on! She's the like the second coolest monster in all the Underground!! You're so so sooooo lucky!!!" I back up a step as he keep ranting, the fire monster behind me lets out a soft hissing noise that sounds both like steam being released from a kettle and a sigh. "When I grow up I'm going to-," He stops suddenly and focuses on something over my shoulder. He sighs loudly, "but do I gotta Grillby?" He whines loudly, looking at something over my shoulder still.
I turn and the flame monster, dressed in what I now recognize as a waiter outfit, complete with white button-up shirt and black apron, is holding his hand up in the air and by - what I assume is magic- is spelling out words made of fire. It's both cool, oddly practical, and a fire safety hazard all at once.
At the current moment all Grillby is saying is "Yes." But I suspect an entire conversation was happening over my shoulder before I turned around.
"Well okay...," the monster kid in front of me grumbles, sending me one last smile before he heads for the door, "see you later not human kid!"
I wave, because I'm not really sure what else to do. Once the armless monster is gone, I'm acutely aware of the fact that despite this being a bar or a restaurant of some sort, there's no noise, everyone is watching me. I fiddle with my bracelet trying to distract myself, as the silence only goes on longer.
A warm hand settles itself on my shoulder softly, as though giving me the chance to pull away. Looking up I'm met with the flame monster again-Grillby.
His fire smile is back and he's nodding towards the bar. Grateful for the distraction I follow. He helps me into a seat and moves behind the bar, starting to work on something I can't see. Almost at once the noise comes back to the bar, people start talking and in the case of the punk dog just go back to their food.
A soft 'tap' brings me out of my thoughts, sitting in front of me on the bar is a tray of fries and a hamburger, a bottle of ranch sits next to it for my convenience, and I have a funny feeling, I'm not Sans's only friend after all.
I take a fry, and almost drop it in surprise at the temperature. I had forgotten fries where hot foods. Waylon would always give me the leftovers when he got to go out with our parents, on the down low of course, I don't want to think about what would if we ever caught. Grillby gives me a funny look and a second layer fire fills the air, I carefully read the words, "is something wrong?" as I nibble on the fry, trying my best to imprint the taste into my brain, I probably won't get another chance if I go back. I try to ignore the thought of me staying here, a thought I had hoped was gone, but has reappeared with vengeance and determination to be heard. I swallow my fry and shake my head 'no' to Grillby.
"Everything is fine," I say honestly picking up another fry and looking it over, "I've just never really had French fries this is a treat."
Grillby nods at that, but still watches be carefully as I eat the rest of my food. He pushes the unopened ranch bottle towards me with the words "for Sans."
I smile and nod picking it up and smiling it into my backpack, right as the door to the building opens with a loud chime. Papyrus and Undyne walk in both look downtrodden and Undyne keeps her gaze on the floor as they make their way over.
"I see you are already fitting in!" Papyrus exclaims, But the statement lacks the usual pep that makes it so Papyrus. "Well me and Undyne have decided that perhaps today is a good day to take it easy. We are going to return home now Annabell."
I look over at Grillby, because yes I like Papyrus but I do not want to be present if he and Undyne get into another fight.
"Sans should be coming home soon," Papyrus offers, and that's all it takes to have me out of my seat, a ridiculous grin covering my face, as I practically race towards the door.

UnderHeart - Fishy Friend
Chapter.. what are we on now? (let me just check real quick...) Holy Stars What!! This is chapter 15! Gosh.... that’s humbling in a way.
Story is below! (And Please have a Lovely day all you Loves! I hope your Holidays where fun!)
"Okay Human now listen here," Undyne growls,  spinning around where she's standing on the snowy ground and glaring at me with her yellow cat like eyes. "You might have fooled the Rookie here into thinking your not a threat, but one miss step," she gets closer to me, holding one of her clawed fingers extremely close to my face, "just one false move Human, and I won't hesitate."
I nod quickly, as Papyrus sighs from behind me. "I hate it when you call me that." He protests, gently pulling me away from the blue fish monster. "And I've told you Undnye, Annabell isn't a threat."
Undnye huffs, turning her back to us, as she marches over to the guard station that's sitting next to the rickety child's fort I was hiding behind just yesterday.
Now that Undyne isn't trying to kill me, I actually get a better look at the fish monster. She's about a foot shorter then Papyrus, so she's probably just a bit over 6 foot. She's blue, covered in scales, with yellow eyes and clawed hands. She's wearing a simple leather chest plate, with what I now know is the delta rune branded into the leather, and black pants which tuck neatly into leather boots that are built for walking in the snow. An old well cared for metal spear is strapped to her back. Undyne's bright red hair is cut short, to her shoulders, and some sort of sliver locket hangs from around her neck.
"Do not worry," Papyrus says, giving me a wide smile as he leads me towards the guard station. A few feet away Undyne is angrily swinging her spear around practicing her attacks against a tree that already has deep groves in its bark from other times Undyne's gotten mad. "She's just blowing off steam," he assures me, as he sits me on the stool behind the station with a smile. "Give her about an hour, and she'll be okay."
I thought Papyrus was kidding when he said 'give her an hour,' but sure enough after some small talk with the large skeleton, helping a lost bear monster get back to Snowdin, and wagging an all-out snowball war with some Monster kids, Undyne huffs and jabs her spear into the snow, wiping sweat of her brow as she glares at us.
"A human?" Undyne asks again, this time in exasperation, "are you insane Papyrus?" And even though she's at least 15 feet away I can see the worry cloud her eyes and hear the concern lace her voice.
"No," Papyrus huffs, puffing out his chest plate covered rib cage. "I understand perfectly well she is a human, but if you take a moment to look past that, you will see quite a nice being."
Undyne doesn't look convinced, but stops arguing all the same. She yanks her spear back up, quickly brushing off all the offending snow, and strapping it back in its holster. She sends both Papyrus and me an icy look, before huffing and crossing her arms, a forced smile playing across her face, her fin shaped ears twitching, "Well are you two Rookies coming for our patrol or not?"
"We where sworn into the Guard on the same day!" Papyrus protests, standing up from the Guard station and marching over to Undyne. "I am not a Rookie."
"Your younger," Undyne supplies with a smirk, that feels much more real, as she spins in her heel and marches off towards Snowdin.
Papyrus sighs loudly, and takes a moment to readjust his cape as I come up next to him, "she's always saying that," Papyrus defends straightening his back, so his looming over me at his impressive height of 7 feet. "But considering Undyne's reaction, we should definitely keep your human-ness a secret from now on."
"Good idea," I agree, even though I had been the one who said we shouldn't tell Undyne, even if she figured out herself fairly well as soon as she saw me.
"Let us depart Annabell," Papyrus states reaching down and taking my hand in his, "It is not wise to leave Undyne unsupervised for long, and you haven't met the rest of our friends yet!"
I raise an eyebrow, a smile playing on my lips, "I thought I was the only friend?" I question in a teasingly, trying to not let my disappointment at me not being so special show.
Papyrus snorts and nods his skull in agreement, "Yes, for my lazy brother, but I- the Great Papyrus - have lots of friends!" He boasts pulling me up to a very annoyed looking Undyne waiting by the 'Welcome to Snowdin!' Sign. "And you get the pleasure of meeting them all!"
Undyne raises an eyebrow as she uncrosses her arms, hands now on her hips, "This isn't some day outing Rookie, we are Guards, not tourists. Act like it!"
Papyrus's smile doesn't even waver, he just uses his other hand to grab Undnye's arm and starts dragging her into Snowdin along with me. "I'm doing my job Undnye, educating and protecting the newest member of the Underground," he turns around and sends me a skeleton wink. I grin back and hurry my own steps so we are walking side by side. I don't want to miss a moment.
"Ugh...," Undyne groans, but despite being both faster and possibly stronger then Papyrus she lets herself get pulled along through town, till we arrive at a rustic, yet clean bar. It's made out of bricks, and echo flowers in pots sit by the front door, repeating all sorts of drunk and excited exclamations. Written above the door in neon lights is one word in cursive font, "Grillby's".
"You want to take the brat here first?" Undyne questions, with a disapproving eyebrow raise, and the obvious wiggling of her ear-fins.
I look away from Undyne, her tone reminds me eerily of how my mother sounds. The same uncaringness with underlying annoyance. She never ever used my name unless Waylon was in the room.
I tighten my grip on Papyrus's hand and make a motion for the door but Papyrus doesn't move, he's frozen to the spot, a blank look on his face.
"Pap?" Undyne questions, slipping her own hand out his grip, a suddenly worried look on her fish face.
Papyrus stiffens at her words, and his grip on my hand gets just slightly too tight. His smile returns though it's 'off', he leans down towards me completely ignoring Undyne's "Hey, are you okay?", he looks me in the eyes and then towards the door, "How about you go ahead?" He offers.
I blink in confusion, not sure I want to walk into a building full of monsters all alone. I also want to know what's wrong, why Pap looks so- so sad all the sudden, and- and angry, I didn't think Papyrus could be angry.
Papyrus must see my confusion, my determination to stay right where I am, and his fake smile only gets faker as he pushes me towards the door, "Me and Undyne will join you in a second," he promises, straightening back up, "I just need to talk to Undyne about something."
I really don't want to go, but I can tell Papyrus isn't going to drop it, so I open the door, giving the big skeleton one last look, before I slip inside.

A little festive gift for all you Loves who enjoy this crazy story about Annabell and her adventures through my AU.
Story is below, and I wish all of you wonderful Holidays!
"Are you sure this will make them taste better?" Toriel asks, eyeing the green and red colored sprinkles with suspicion. I giggle and nod my blond haired head, doing my best to not break into all out laughter so I don't wake up the other residents of the house.
"If you're sure my child...," Toriel hums, popping open the cap.
"Not now," I quickly say, grabbing her white furred paw before she dumps the sprinkles on our unbaked cookies, "we have to bake them first and put the icing on." I instruct, pointing at the tubs of multi-colored icing we made earlier.
"That does make more sense," she agrees with a laugh of her own, putting down the sprinkles and helping me get down from the chair I had perched myself in, so I could reach the cookie dough. After putting me down, Toriel opens the oven and slides our three sheets of cookies inside.
"10 mintunes?" She asks setting the timer.
Looking over the packaging I nod, "Yep, we check them 10, and if not done we add a minute and keep checking till their golden brown."
"So Annabell what shall we do while we wait?" Toriel asks wiping the flour off her paws onto her "Best Mom" Apron.
"Well we can-," I stop talking when a loud 'creak!' Echoes around the kitchen.
"Wha are guyss doing?" A sleepily voice asks as Sans appears in the doorway, squinting at the light and wearing his ridiculous Christmas pjs. Which is basically a Christmas sweater with a picture of a rib cage that says 'Happy X-raymas', fuzzy white and red plaid pants, and light up Rudolph slippers.
"Sans," I greet a smile, before I remember he's not supposed to be here. "Go back to bed," I shoo, rushing over to the confused and still sleep dazed skeleton, "You can't be here," I insist, starting to push him back out of the room.
"Well sorry," Sans mumbles and with a poff of white smoke Sans is gone. I turn around with a huff as Sans stumbles uneasily next to the table covered in our baking supplies. "But you've just made me more curious."
"Sans!" Toriel snaps, hands on her hips as she glares down at the much smaller monster. "What have I told you about teleporting in the house?"
"Sorry," Sans mutters, glancing around nervously as he scratches at the back of his skull. "But Anna was trying to push me."
"Hey!" I protest, my face heating up, "I just didn't want you to see the surprise!" I immediately clap my own hands over my mouth as Sans gives me a funny look.
"Surprise?" He echoes, now a lot more awake, he glances around the room and  being the second smartest monster in existence he puts two and two together. He smiles as Toriel sighs. "Well thanks."
"Their for everyone," I defend, crossing my arms as Toriel gently pushes Sans towards the exit.
"Indeed they are and considering the time both of you will be going to bed." Toriel orders.
"But we haven't even decorated them yet!" I protest, straightening out my own Christmas sweater, which is bright green with the word 'Angel', written in gold lettering.
"Or taste tested," Sans chimes, with a wide grin.
"Bed." Toriel insists, "it's almost midnight after all...,"
"Santa!" I gasp, grabbing Sans's hand and running out of the room. A laughing skeleton following after me as we race back up to our rooms hopefully in time for Christmas.

UnderHeart - Warning: Fish Will Bite
Chapter 14!
Story is under the cut, (Wishing you an un-stressful day Love)
"Please Undyne listen to me!" Papyrus yells chasing after his guard friend as she let's out a roar of rage and only runs after me faster.
"I'm sorry!" I squeak, weaving in and out of the passing by monsters of Snowdin who all look thoroughly amused at our chase.
"Candlera! Whiskers! Monster Kid! Annoying Puppy!" Undyne yells and the small group of young monster in front of me including a little ball of white fur, which I guess is the annoying puppy, all turn towards us. "Catch that human!" She orders.
The oldest of the group looks to be about Waylon's age but I can't really tell since she's made entirely of green flames. She's wearing a very pretty school uniform and talking to a smaller monster who looks like a pink mouse. This other monster is also a female and about Waylon's age as well. She's dressed warmly, in her school uniform, a warm coat, and an impossibly long scarf.
Next to them is a orange lizard monster in a striped sweater who doesn't have arms but is playing fetch with the annoying puppy using his feet. He's probably only a year or two younger then me.
The armless monster's head shoots up at Undyne's order while the two girls go back to talking, "Where!?!" The sweatered monster yells looking around.
"In front of you idiot!" Undyne yells angrily, pointing at my back as I slid to a stop in front of the armless lizard monster.
"Hey!" I yell, spinning around and facing the scary fish lady as she comes to a thundering stop in front of me, the armless monster at my back, to stunned to do anything.
"What human?" Papyrus's friend asks as she pulls her spear off her back. Her silted eyes glitter with anger as she growls, her fins twitching. "Last words?"
I huff, and gather up my courage as Papyrus quickly makes his way over. If I'm going to die might as well do it standing up for someone else right?
"It's not nice to call people an idiot," I state. The armless monster behind me gasps and one of the girls whispers "Stars she's dead," but I continue to stare up at the blue fish lady.
She blinks down at me in confusion as Papyrus throws himself in between us, his white eye lights now glowing a dangerous orange color. "Undyne!" He protests whips of raw magic swirling around us. "I told you Annabell means no harm!"
Undyne huffs and sheaves her weapon sending me another confused look, "Didn't mention she was a pansy."
"I'm not-," I start but Papyrus quickly stops me as he picks me up into his skeleton arms, his polished arm guards poking me uncomfortably in the sides.
"Let's get back to training nerds," Undyne orders, glancing back at the armless kid before huffing and walking away without anther word.
"You're Friend isn't very nice Papyrus," I point out as we start to follow after the angry fish lady.
"She has a short temper," Papyrus admits, adjusting his long red cape, "but under all that anger is a very kind soul."
I hum deciding to just trust Papyrus on that one.

UnderHeart - Morning Routine
Chapter 13, (or as I originally posted it, the chapter 12, bet that caused confusion)
Warning, fluff ahead. read at your own risk.
Story is under the cut. (I wish sweetness into your life Love)
"Heyys Anna," Sans yawns with a little wave, as trudges down the stairs in his too big 'Nap Queen' shirt and fuzzy pajama bottoms decorated with pizza slices. He rubs at his eyes sockets and grumbles something I can't hear. "Wheres Paps?" He mumbles slightly louder, as he practically trips down the last few steps.
Thankfully Papyrus was right around the corner in the kitchen and Sans must trip on the stairs a lot because Papyrus dashes out, wooden spoon in hand and wearing his 'Kiss the Cook' apron. He skids to a halt at the bottom of the stairs and Sans sleepily falls into his arms with a muffled 'Oh. Hi Paps.'
Papyrus sighs and places Sans back on the floor with a disapproving look. "Brother one of these days I'm not going to get here on time and you'll get hurt."
Sans snorts like Papyrus just said the funniest think he's ever heard and he's doing his best to not completely break down in laughter. "You'll always catch me Paps," Sans promises, "You're the one thing I can always count one."
Papyrus looks both confused and overjoyed by the compliment. Though the tall skeleton settles on being boastful with a touch of brotherly love. "Of course I will always be there for my twin brother! I am the Great Papyrus!" He beams, hand on chest, shoulders square, stance proud.
"Very cool," I agree with a nod, and a giggle as Sans smiles, a mischievous twinkle in his eye lights.
"I definitely have the most tibia-rific brother a skeleton could rib-quest." Sans states with a proud smile.
Papyrus groans loudly but his smile is a dead giveaway of his true feelings. I laugh so hard I have to grab ahold of Papyrus's hand so I don't fall over. Sans rocks back and forth on the balls of his skeleton feet, a proud smirk covering his face.
"Really Brother," Papyrus chides, still trying not to laugh, "I have work to do and your friend here can't explore the Underground herself," he sighs sending me a wide smile and a wink.
"I'm going, I'm going," Sans grumbles heading towards the kitchen, "exploring comes after breakfast though."
"What are we having?" I ask as I walk into the kitchen with Papyrus that oddly still smells of Monsteroni.
"Why Monsteroni Of course!" Papyrus beams, handing me a plate of the fun shaped noodles covered in gooey cheese.
I think about asking if this is what all monsters eat but I remember Toriel eating snails and homemade butterscotch cinnamon pie. Maybe skeletons just really liked noodles. I could show Papyrus a different noodle recipe if that was case, I sort of remember how to make spaghetti.
"Not hungry Kid?" Sans asks, glancing between me and my untouched bowl of cheese flavored monster shaped noodles.
"Ohh well-I was just-," I scramble for an answer that won't make me sound rude. "Do you always eat pasta?" I really messed that up.
Sans snorts and starts to laugh so hard he falls off the table. Papyrus looks both thoroughly annoyed and completely embarrassed.
"N-Not always," Sans gasps, coming up for air from his chuckles, "Pap here goes through food phases and since dear old dad can't cook and I'm too lazy to make anything other then a sandwich. Papyrus does all the cooking. But Monsteroni has been his longest kick so far."
"It's easy and tastes good," Pap grumbles as though defending his choice of meal.
"Nothings wrong with it," I quickly say, "I was just curious that's all."
"Well breakfast is over and I have to meet up with Undnye or else I'll be late for Gaurd training," Papyrus huffs, shooing Sans and me out of the kitchen as he takes his apron off with flourish.
"You're already in the Guard Paps, it's just you and Undnye training by yourselves so you are 'super extra special good' when rookie evaluations come around," Sans quotes, giving his brother a look that clearly shows how much he dislikes these extra special trainings.
"I'll be fine Sans," Papyrus says in a tone that seems rather well used, this conversation must happen a lot. "Now hurry up before-,"
"Sans!" A deep voice calls from up the stairs. Papyrus sighs deeply as Sans stiffens, all his bones linked together too tightly, like a wound spring.
Dr. Gaster appears at the top of the stairs, already wearing his lab coat and typed on glasses. "There you are boy," the scientist chides gliding down the stairs to join us in the living room. "I will need you to accompany me today."
Sans looks about ready to do something he'll regret but his dad smiles and turns to me with a poorly hidden look of distaste, "I believe we have a deal." He remarks coldly.
Sans mumbles something under his breath I can't hear but marches up the stairs to get dressed I suppose.
"Dad if Annabell isn't coming with you-," Papyrus gets cut off before he can finish.
"Of course that human isn't coming with me," he scoffs, pointedly avoiding looking in my direction now that Sans is gone. "Do your father a favor and look after it today. I hope some separation will shake some sense into Sans."
Papyrus looks down at me in clear worry, there's obviously a reason Papyrus is reluctant to say yes, but after a another second Papyrus nods. "She can help with training," he agrees smile wide. "I'll keep an eye on her!"
"Good," Gaster nods with a smile, as Sans marches back down the stairs, wearing a tattered 'Monster Rebel' shirt, ripped jeans, sneakers, and his classic patch covered white coat.
"Happy?" Sans asks with a vague gesture towards his clothes. "Now come on Anna you'll get to see-,"
Gaster cuts him off with a cough. "Actually your brother has agreed to look after the human today."
Sans freezes, white eye lights widening as he glances over at me. I smile encouragingly, trying hard not to show how scared I am at that fact the only monster who actually likes me is going to leave me alone for an entire day.
"But you've never-," Sans stops himself and curses under his breath. He angrily shoves his hands into his pockets and marches for the door. White magic flickering around him. "Look after the kid," Sans calls, as him and his dad leave with a resounding 'click!' of the door. Leaving me and Papyrus alone in an awkward uncomfortable silence.

UnderHeart - The Deal
Chapter 12, apparently I can’t spell chapter today, took me at least three tries and then I had to use auto correct to help save me... It’s been a day.
Anyway, story is below, its a little stressful so be prepared, (I wish you an un-stressful work/school week Love)
Blue bones fly towards me and I swing my arms up, though I know they won't do much. Papyrus screams for his dad to stop, but I know he won't, I've seen this act before.
There's a breath of silence, a pause that lasts to long, Papyrus lets out a shocked gasp and I risk opening my eyes.
The older skeleton is standing in front of me, sharpened blue bones still float in air, ready to attack, but they don't. A light white color has surrounded the bones and both skeletons before me look stunned and are staring at something over my left shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Papyrus's dad asks in a snarl, raising his hand for another Attack, but the white light grows stronger and the bones turn to harmless dust.
I glance over my shoulder and almost cry in joy. Sans is sitting on the arm rest of the couch, his boney legs dangling over the side, an amused smirk spread across his skull. His white patchwork jacket is all ruffled and he stills looks a bit sleepily, but his magical eyes glow unnaturally bright, almost like a tiny white sun now lives within his body.
"I'm protecting my new friend," Sans replies in a completely level voice, as though my life wasn't on the line. "I would appreciate it if you didn't kill her."
"You of all monsters should know what a human looks like Sans!" Their Father roars, as more glowing blue bones spring to life around him. "That thing is-,"
"My Friend," Sans repeats calmly, placing a skeleton hand on my shaking shoulder. "This human is about as dangerous as the annoying puppy."
The older skeleton takes a deep breath and the bones disappear, for a second I think we're okay but then he glares at Sans. "Is this part of your stupid rebellious phase? Bring a dangerous creature into the Underground and see how many monsters it can kill before Monday!?!"
"Dad-," but he doesn't even let Sans start.
"No. I've put up with a lot from you. From your disappearances, to your instance you work on your own projects, to your distancing yourself from the family! But this!" He points at me and I suddenly feel very uncomfortable where I'm standing. "This is not acceptable Sans."
Sans sits in silence for a long time, several minutes at least, and no one says anything, but Sans keeps his hand tight on the shoulder of my white and green school dress.
"Fine." Sans bites out, his hand tightening reassuringly on my shoulder though I'm not sure there's much to reassure me about once it's over. Maybe I can just wait for Waylon in the place that comes when this is over.
"Glad you-,"
"I'll stop," he cuts in, glancing off towards the kitchen, where Papyrus is still trapped behind a wall of blue bones. "You want me to play nice and pretend like we have the prefect family. Fine. I'll do it," he agrees with an undertone if icy venom, "but the human stays."
His dad stares at him in shock, obviously not expecting an offer to be made. He glances at my trembling form than back at the rather annoyed Sans before slowly nodding his head.
"Alright you can keep your-," he pauses and shakes his head in disgust, "but if it kills anyone-,"
"I'll do it myself," Sans agrees with a pained nod.
The older skeleton nods again then smiles to himself as though this was the best possible outcome. "Well then human I apologize for getting off on the wrong foot," he says, with a little bow as the bones holding back Papyrus disappear with snap. "I am W. D. Gaster, Royal scientist for King Asgore." He straightens his taped on glasses and looks me over, "You may call me Dr. Gaster."
"Annabell," I say, keeping my back to the couch where Sans is still sitting with his hand on my shoulder.
"Dinner is ready?" Papyrus tries, gesturing towards the kitchen with a forced smile. Gaster nods and almost seems to float as he glides into the cheesy smelling room. As soon as he's gone Sans hops off the couch and Papyrus dashes over.
"Damn it," Sans curses looking me over as Papyrus stands in front of us watching the door to the kitchen intently. Sans stops when he gets to my face, his magic eyes widening as he grabs my cheek pulling it towards him. "What?" He mumbles, "I thought I-," his eyes go wide as he seems to recall our conversation from earlier. He curses under his breath and carefully traces my scar with one of his boney fingers, "Oh Anna I'm-,"
I gently push his hand off and smile, "it's okay," I say quickly, tracing it myself, "already all healed see?"
Sans nods, though he still doesn't look happy, "How?" he asks softly.
"A flower tried-,"
"What?" He hisses, white eye lights flaring blindingly bright like a trapped firework.
"Brother," Papyrus soothes, patting Sans on the back as the bright white light quickly disappears. "We don't have much longer."
"I'm sorry," he mutters, glancing up at me apologetically. "Let's get food." And with that Sans turns around and shuffles towards the kitchen.
"Did I do something wrong?" I ask Papyrus, as he sends Sans worried glances.
"No," Papyrus says shaking his skull as he carefully takes his 'Kiss the Cook' apron off and folds it with well practiced movements. "You did nothing wrong." He repeats, placing the apron down gently on the side table with a long sigh.
"Papyrus?" I ask gently, but Papyrus just continues to absent mindedly stare off into space, a pained look covering his skull. "We can get dinner," I offer, he still doesn't move, just traces meaningless patterns onto the fabric of the apron. "I'm sure Sans is-," I stop talking when Papyrus bolts to attention, like he suddenly got zapped with lightening.
"W-What?" He asks, glancing around till he spots me then he relaxes slightly, bright smile slipping onto his skull. "Oh Hello Annabell I thought you went to get dinner, Monsteroni is my specialty!" He beams, grabbing ahold of my arm and practically dragging me into the kitchen after him.
Dinner is good if a bit awkward. I don't think you're supposed to drink Ranch Dressing like a fountain drink, but neither Gaster or Papyrus question Sans as he downs a whole bottle of it. But besides ranch dressing drinking, I can't shake the feeling that there is something more bothering these skeletons then just the appearance of a human. I hope I can help....
