I'm obligated to share any chuunibyou-themed songs I come across! Thus is my duty as a chuunibyou scholar.

In my experience, songs poking fun at the nature of chuunibyou tend to be faster-paced while songs from the chuuni's perspective where they're in the throes of their fantasies can be slower. This one seems to be a mix of the two, with a slower, building guitar giving a "final boss" kind of feel, but the lyrics are from a chuuni Teto's perspective, albeit with a self-aware twist.

The chorus "Magic eye, Magic powers, Etcetera" made me laugh out loud.

Coughing bleeding as I traverse YouTube looking for songs using MEIKO's V3 English voicebank since it's super underrated (possibly even her best vb imo) but all I'm finding is covers of early 2010 pop songs

A really cute song with a ghost theme, with a cheery festival feel. Becoming a ghost is really just a re-birthday, don't sweat it!

I've talked about this cover on my main due to how it matches my VBS Kaimei headcanons, but I've been listening to it nonstop in the past week so time to ramble more on here!

Earthy X6 tunes MEIKO fantastically, and this cover truly shows off her voice. You can feel the tone of her voice matching the moody lyrics. KAITO's low, somewhat seductive tone isn't to be ignored either, matching the demeanor of the sheep-person? demon? shown in the original's PV. The power of them singing together at the chorus is also really good...

Even if you don't follow Proseka or my own personal VBS Kaimei headcanons, I feel like anyone can get the feel of a Meiko that's discouraged by her lack of popularity, being assuaged by a Kaito who loves her voice and wants all to hear it.

Making this song a duet truly ascends it to godliness.

Saw a KAITO song bingo and decided to fill it out! Managed a bingo on all 3, somehow. A lot of the songs on the hardest level are pretty new, at least two of them are only a month old!

I'm surprised none of mothy's Kaito songs besides Judgement of Corruption are there, Drug of Gold and Heartbeat Clocktower both rewired my brain.

AKO GOT COMMISSIONED FOR A KAITO-NIISAN BIRTHDAY SONG????

I'm a sucker for songs that play two different versions of a vsynth against each other... In this song, V3 Kaito is the eager disciple to V1 Kaito's strict mentor. It's a rearrange, and the original (where Madoi's Kaito plays against SukoyaCathedral's Kaito) can be found here!

Madoi has a very distinctive style that I can't quite describe well. Their songs tend to run at a bouncy tempo, with catchy midi instrumentals with a somewhat folk-like feel, interspersed with some chiptune melodies. They're a very underlistened producer, so if you like this song, I invite you to listen to their other works!

Is my kaimei bias showing in my song recs for them? Maybe so, but I can't help how good they sound together, especially when their voices contrast. That's what being made for each other does!

A song for a night of revelry in the red autumn leaves amongst demons!

Autumn Leaf Viewing is a jubilant, traditional japanese-style Piaproloid ensemble song with an eerie undertone and Meiko focus -- sort of as if the classic Night series had a wafu twist.. All the singers are tuned in a comfortable range but match the atmosphere of the song. I especially love the growl in Meiko's voice near the end, and how Meiko Power and Kaito Soft contrast each other.

I really like vsynth tuning where the song is emotionally heavy/centered around internal conflict but the tuning is sweet, somewhat soft, with any slip of emotion, if any, is reflected via the speed. The contrast almost represents a self-repression, or an aggressive effort to keep a facade of calmness when the singer is on the end of their rope. Covers of these songs where the singer is belting with emotion, but I will always love the originals for the internal seething feeling they give off.

Off the top of my head, nakiso and syudou have this style, and teniwoha's devil does something similar. I'd be happy to hear of any others that do this!
