Wow, the trenches sure are beautiful today (completely normal and not-weird way to say I've been binge reading X-Men comics)

Tried to draw my two main xmen ocs in the (early) uncanny x-men comic style

(First guy is Danger, second guy is Murphy/Hazard, both he/him)

Danger was actually kinda fun to do, Murphy gave me some reaaal problems, but my Fiance made me feel better abt it cuz the second he saw it he went "Oh his artist was having a bad dayyy, the wonderous meguka..." (slightly paraphrased for clarity)

Erm, simplifying their designs to look more authentic to the style/era was actually pretty fun, and the concept of them as early comic characters is really interesting to think about

I've been binge reading HARD, I think I got through like, 30-ish? issues of Uncanny X-Men, and 20-ish issues of the 1991 comics? (Yeah I'm jumping around, I have disorders, don't be mean) I used to be OBSESSED with comics as a kid, specifically Fantomen (The Phantom), so binging xmen is bringing back some memories.

Kablewie (the 4th wall breaking chaos god) and Lenny (the guy)

Lenny is an exchange student from Eastern Europe (vauge on purpose). He's in special ed and is trying his absolute hardest to play football. Also he's obsessed with Max.

Kablewie (Kiwi for short) is his "imaginary friend" (deity whos been with him since before both of their births, whatever that means.)

(Kablewie is NOT a lord in black btw, he is not related to the brothers. Kablewie is an old,,, thing,,, I have who I just think would fit well into in the universe.)

Also the doodle I made right when I realized I could just make Kablewie a guy in my self insert au thing.

If you think about it IT IS technically all Grace's fault, like, if they'd just let Max burn himself out he'd just be a normal teenage asshole but noooo she'd just have to get ridiculous with it. The prank she planned caused the accident, even after that they could have just called like, the cops, or an ambulance, and they WOULD have been able to explain that it was an accident but NO she had the wonderful idea to dismember and bury him and now he's pissed off and MAD. Like he'd def still be a ghost because yk nothing that dies in there really dies, but having his corpse mutilated and abandoned def contributed to him wanting to kill all of them. I have thoughts, I have thoughts.

He had an idea for a "respectful burial" AU and FUCK he cooked so fucking hard. Siiigh.
