What the expect & how to prepare
In 2016, there was major flaws with in-person voting in states like Arizona. This election is exactly the same, with states like Texas and California having people in line waiting past midnight LONG after polls were supposed to close. This is blatant voter suppression and is meant to discourage you from voting. If you don’t have mail-in ballot in your state MAKE SURE to prepare for the worst: wear comfortable clothes, bring water, bring snacks, and get ready for whatever fuckery they might try to pull so bring an extra ID.
If you work on the day of your primary or caucus HERE IS A WEBSITE that allows you to check your state’s laws on time-off voting. This will tell you info on the following:
How long your job is required to give you?
What exceptions there might be?
Whether or not it’s paid time off.
If you have to give advance notice.
Do you need to show your employer proof of voting?
How to volunteer
You can also phone bank, text bank, or canvas for Bernie. Even if you’re in a state that already voted you can still do all these things! You ARE allowed to canvas out of your home state. Check your area, there are events happening everywhere or you can host your own. ALSO!!! volunteer as a poll worker if you can
AND!! if you’re fluent in multiple languages you can really help to get the vote out in communities that often get overlooked by campaigns.

so you'd vote for trump over biden or just not vote at all
if biden gets nominated i will be wasting exactly none of my energy on the 2020 elections. i’ll be doing other things for sure but i won’t be voting and i absolutely won’t be campaigning for biden

Don’t Promise Spring
ROMANCE. PERIOD FICTION. NEW ADULT or YA. TRAGEDY.
genre: romance, fantasy, tragedy rating/category: 16+ // new adult, YA pov: third person in past tense, four POVs status: just finished plotting, writing out scene cards now themes: breaking tradition, carving your own path, finding love in unlikely places, you are greater than the sum of your parts, pride and prejudice, corrupt government, uprisings and rebellions, bloodshed, war, espionage, treason, betrayal, political intrigue, romance,
Tropes Explored: Enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, unrequited love, hopelessness, societal pressure leading to decisions, weight of the world
Warnings: some graphic descriptions of violence, light sexual scenes, and sudden and semi-graphic character death.
The official introduction for my WIP Don’t Promise Spring. A novel set in a fictional Russian-Esque country filled with war-tired subjects and war-hungry nobles. Set in the capital of Nazadar, named Angavda, the novel will take place during the Festival of Spring to celebrate the end of winter. It focuses on the nobles who have the chance to make a difference but they will have to sort out their own problems first. This novel will feature four POVs: Vlarovena Irinushka Voronin, Lord Artur Faline, Vlarovena Katya Voronin, and Lord Mischa Ivanov.
On this blog, I’ll post character introductions, excerpts, aesthetics, playlists, and anything else that has to do with this wonderful work! Below is a look at the four main POV characters but 250 characters is hardly enough to explain these babies so please follow!
[WIP Tag]    [Don’t Promise Spring - Pinterest]
I love being a part of this world and I’d love for you to join me! The taglist is at the end of this post - please let me know if you’d like to be added!
Main Characters:
Vlarovena Irinushka “Irina” Voronin // 18 - She/Her - Nazadarian
The heiress to the Nazadarian throne is a fickle one; she is stubborn and strong-willed with a slight disposition of distrust towards men. She thinks them to be arrogant and bloodthirsty by nature. Irina wants to break tradition in her family, stray away from war and focus instead on her people, but Nazadar has always been ruled by an iron fist. Her mother is pushing her to marry and her father is getting himself into more danger every day. The throne is looming over their family and while Irina is not the first in line it would not be the first time for the second child to rule Nazadar. During the Festival of Spring, dozens of “suitable bachelors” descend onto the capitol but Irina doesn’t have time for any of them, much less the one who’s charm is only skin deep and seems to be hiding secrets.
Lord Artur Faline of Provo // 27 - He/Him - Nazadarian
Lord Artur of Provo is a kind man who leads his providence on the Western coast of Nazadar with a soft hand. Artur is a healer and a scholar who watches over his people with kind eyes and tries to make decision to help them the most. His providence has been a melting pot for the refugees of countless wars for centuries but the constant war is putting a strain on their resources and comfort. Frustrated and determined, he travels with his sister Liliya to Angavda to have an audience with the Vlarov but he finds himself entangled in petty politics and more entertwined with the heiress more than he would like to be.
Vlarovena Katya “Iya” Voronin // 16 - She/Her - Nazadarian
Katya is a young soul who thrives on fairy tales and soft words. She has a radiant smile and a golden heart but she is too self-sacrificing to show it to anyone. She does not care about the crown or the weight it holds but she cares about the people around her and only wants to see them happy. When a young Lord comes to court her sister, she has no choice but to put her budding feelings aside and help him catch her eye.
Lord Mischa Ivanov // 24 - He/Him - Nazadarian
A soldier in the Vlarov’s army who should have never been the head of his family. Ill-suited to the job and with his grandmother running thr show behind him, Mischa ventures to the capitol to attempt to catch the eye of the heiress to the Nazadarian throne. Unfortunately, he is as skilled at court as he is with women; but when the youngest Vlarovena offers to help him catch her eye, he can’t help but say yes.

Storyteller Saturday! 💖 If you were to choose one or two specific colours to represent each of your major characters, what ones would you choose and why? Any symbolism there?
This is hella late but HAPPY STS! ✨
Lord Artur: Cerulean blue and amber yellow. For the water and the jewelry that his mother left behind for him.
Vlarovena Irina: White and light pink. For her rigidity and the femininity that she hides to prevent people from seeing her as a weak woman.
Vlarovena Katya: Lavender and a pale yellow. Lavender for her soft femininity that she has no problem showing off and using. Pale yellow for the beautiful yellow flowers next to her favorite bench in the courtyard.
Lord Mischa: Forest green and deep purple. Green for the safe forest surrounding his childhood home and his own envy. Purple for the royalty plunged through his veins.

dickinson, nobel
Thanks for the ask, nonny! ✨
dickinson: what insecurities do you have about your own writing? what do you think you should improve on?
Sometimes I feel like my writing isn’t complex enough. I do worry that I tend to fall back on YA because the writing doesn’t have to be as elevated; it is like a safety blanket. I want to push myself outside of that comfort zone going forward. I don’t want to jump overboard to purple prose but I want to have more complex writing in the future.
nobel: have you published anything you’ve written? online or irl?
I do have some pieces published online but I don’t promote those anymore. 😅 Old Wattpad fics that I’m not going to subject anyone to reading, lol. One day I hope to be published and hold one of my novels in my hand!

Pulizer & characterization for the writer ask~
Thank you so much for the ask! ✨
pulitzer: tell about/link a piece where you felt your writing was the best.
Ooh, this is a good question. I can’t link it because it was an application for a period drama roleplay on Tumblr a few months ago but it was the first time I’d seriously written in a few months. I felt like I was coming back to a safe place where I could express myself again and it was really freeing. I dove into the character headfirst and fleshed them out way before I applied. I loved the feeling of being so intune with a character again. Not long after that, I started my previous wip and I just loved it! I shelved that wip for a bit, though, because I wanted to write a standalone before I try to write a trilogy.
characterization: describe your favorite character(s) you’ve written.
Right now, I really enjoy writing Lord Artur and Vlarovena Irina from Don’t Promise Spring. Their banter is so fun to dive into and their complex relationship keeps me going at every turn. They’re both so deep and guarded, hiding everything from one another, and I love building that foundation because there will be an event that will shatter it. Seeing where they are now and knowing where they’ll go is so exciting!

i was just wondering how you plot and if you had nay tips
Happy STS! Thanks for the question! ✨
I answered this a little bit in this ask so please check it out! To expand on that answer a bit, I typically thrive on structure and tried-and-true plot arcs (such as the character's journey) to make a basic plot for my wips. I always make sure that my wips have a beginning, middle, and end to cover my bases and then I expand from there. I use a story structure with vague emotional prompts for every point in that plot arc that helps drive the narrative. I typically start a WIP knowing how I want it to end and beginning but it’s the middle that I usually flounder with.
The best tips that I can give you are:
Use a story structure to build your plot/novel off
Find a notetaking or visualization method to write down all of your plot information (including subplots like romances, etc) to keep everything straight. (In that answered ask, I mentioned that I use three different methods for plotting which are story structure, scene cards, and a plotting spreadsheet)
Do as much research into your characters, setting, and situation as possible. That will help guide you in the plotting process. If you know as much about your world and your characters as possible, then plotting comes easily because you find problems in your world that your characters can solve.
I hope this helped! Have a wonderful Saturday!! ✨

Happy Storyteller Saturday! What are some ways you organize your notes/writing thoughts?
Happy STS!! This is SUCH a good question and you’re in for a long answer.
The first thing to know about me and my writing process is that I am a plotter through and through. I plot everything: subplots, character arcs, settings, cultural backgrounds, extensive research into what I take inspiration from, everything. I have done a lot of research on how to plot the hell out of a novel and there are three things that I use to organize my notes and thoughts.
1. Three Act Story Structure
If you’re not famiiar with the three act story structure or how to use it while plotting, this is my favorite video on it! It essentially is a beginning, middle, and end. If you plot with at least those three points in mind, you can make a cohesive plot that has a climax and resolves. But the story structure that she has that you can download is so much more than that! It takes the basic building blocks of a novel (first pinch point, main climax, second climax, “all hope is lost”, and more) and explains how to mold your plotbunny to fit that mold.
2. Scene Cards
I usually start a book idea with random scenes or situations. In order to keep the story structure in mind, I plot every scene out with these cards. The same authortuber has a video on how to use scene cards and a downloadable! These are my secret weapon for not having writers block because all of the hard creative work is already out of the way! I sometimes make cards way in advance but I typically try to word in sequential order. This helps me organize my thoughts and ideas for every scene instead of getting overwhelmed and leaving out little details that are so important!
3. JK Rowling’s Master Plot Sheet
JK Rowling is known for complex story lines that take multiple novels to resolve and small subplots that resolve every book. How does she keep up with it all? Her Master Plot Sheet. (Check out this video from another authortuber that I love!) It is an extensive spreadsheet that includes the chapter number, chapter title, season/time/day of the chapter/scene, a basic description of the chapter, and who the POV is. One row is one chapter and in the next however many columns are necessary, she describes the overall plot, any character subplots, any collective subplots that involve multiple characters, and anything else that needs to be kept up with and resolved through a narrative. It is an amazing 1000-foot view of your novel and helps you know which ends to wrap up and where makes the most sense for where to wrap them up. I SWEAR by this plot sheet and I’ve used it for every WIP I’ve ever done!
I hope that helps explain my process of planning and writing out my notes! If you have any questions about these types of resources, let me know! I love to rant and rave about them - as you can tell. ✨

Happy Saturday y’all!
Storyteller Saturday
After being inspired by many others, I wanted to have a little fun with my friends, followers and really anyone else in between.
Every Saturday I’ll answer asks for specific OCs or WIPs. The ask can be simply an OC’s name, the title of a WIP or even the name of one of my worlds. I’ll answer with a funny/cute/soft/interesting fact about who or what you sent. If you don’t have anyone in mind, I will just give random facts I like about my characters or something.
This is mostly asks about little things, like the small average things that make my characters human (their flaws, their favorite kind of soda. Silly stories from their childhood) but if you have specific questions about a WIP or OC the. feel free to ask on Saturday. Of course I’d prefer you to do that on another day, but I won’t mind if it does happen on Storyteller Saturday.
I’ll also accept all of your wonderful OC facts! Tell me their favorite color, their hobbies, your favorite scenes you wrote with them. I just want this to be fun!
Feel free to send asks early if you miss a Saturday, specifying that they’re for this event. Whether Anonymous or not, I’ll answer you’re questions!
