Firstly, it’s important to note that nutrition labels refer to raw weight unless you’re buying food that is already cooked. Some foods gain weight after cooking, others lose weight. Let’s start of with meat. Generally, meat will lose around 25% of its weight once cooked. For example, chicken loses up 50g. When boiling food, it absorbs water and therefor increases weight. Labels on pasta and rice will always refer to the raw weight, unless you’re buying pasta and rice that’s already cooked. Note that none of these conversions are exact, but are here to serve you as guides. What’s Your Favourite Thing About Your Morning Routine?⁣

Successful people sharing their ‘morning routines’ has become quite a trend and I’ve tried many of them over the past year.⁣ 
⠀⁣ 
What I’ve learned is that instead of copying some millionaire’s routine, we need to create our own routines. It’s like fitness in the sense that there’s no one size that fits all. We are all unique and so we must find what’s best for our lifestyle.⁣ 
⠀⁣ 
Some people like getting up earlier and doing a ton of things in the morning; some like to lie in a bit and get more of their work done later in the day.⁣ 
⠀⁣ 
Experiment with different routines and tailor your own routine.⁣ 
⠀⁣ 
I’m happy that I tried out different strategies and routines because it helped me finally create one that works for me. I’ve personally found planning my day the day before, to be the most impactful. It saves me the stress of planning it in the morning. I wake up the following day knowing exactly what I need to accomplish.⁣ 
⠀⁣ 
Before I sleep I’ll write down 3-5 important tasks that need to be accomplished the next day. I don’t write more than 5-6 tasks per day because a day is not enough, and being overwhelmed is counterproductive.⁣ 
⠀⁣ 
I also don’t always complete my routine every morning, and that’s fine. Aim to be consistent, not perfect. It’s what you do 80% of the time that matters.⁣

The bigger picture of losing body fat is getting yourself to move more and eat less…
Although sometimes this can be taken to the extremes of excessive cardio 4+ times per week and crash dieting ☹️
Not to say there isn’t a time and place to me more than normally focused (you can still do this in a healthy, sustainable way) on crushing your goals - especially in the beginning to get the ball rolling and see some results 😤
Walking should always be the foundation for whether you’re in transformation mode, just living your life maintaining what you’ve created, and for staying healthy ✅
Any motive you have for changing your body needs to start small - hydration, sleep, better food choices, etc. are all the “little” things that last forever and replace those bad habits keeping you from your goals 👍
It sounds so simple, but I think we’re all surprised that most folks aren’t getting near 10k steps per day with driving to work, sitting throughout, then driving back home to the couch 😅
I love walking for a few main reasons:
1️⃣ You’ll burn calories without ramping up appetite much
2️⃣ It’s a great time to catch up with friends and family ⠀
3️⃣ You can bump your favorite podcast and/or audiobook
4️⃣ Relieve stress after a long day and get some fresh air
5️⃣ Awesome time to think and reflect on life

A stick of chewing gum contains about 5 calories and it is a nice way to curb your cravings. Sometimes we just want to chew on something, so instead of going to the vending machine for a snack, we can just chew on a 5 calorie stick of gum. Also, minty fresh breath!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 2) Black Coffee. Black coffee contains caffeine, a natural appetite suppressant. Also, black coffee is great because it only contains 2-3 calories per cup. This number changes if you choose to add sweeteners or cream.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 3) Strawberries. Strawberries contain about 5 calories per berry and they are high in water. Water helps keep you full and the fiber will also benefit you greatly. Fruits / veggies, in general, are lower in calories and high in fiber.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 4) Sparkling water. Sparkling water is just water but the bubbly sensation makes us feel more full.
