*me when my failed clone that came out half the size of me and aged 10x as quickly due to a miscalculation of the biomass needed and numerous genetic errors escapes my basement lab during a romantic dinner and my date sees it and asks what the fuck that thing is* "oh, little old me?"

Something about a character who’s supposed to get hurt. Their role is to be a shield, to take the hits so that others don’t have to. And it’s not just in their head, it’s a fact that everyone understands. A job that everyone expects them to be able to do.
Does it leak into their personal life? Maybe they’re meticulous with their health and training, taking perfect obsessive care of themselves so that they’ll never fail in their duty. Maybe they let it all go, keeping themselves at base functionality because what’s a little hunger, a little strain, a bruise or scrape, in the face of the pain that they have to bear every day.
They never ask for help. They know better, have learned from all the times they’ve broken and called out begging for it only to be met with blank stares. They should be able to handle it, who are they if they can’t handle this one thing?
Someone who’s a glass canon in human skin.

yeah yeah fire-based characters are destructive and angry and violent and evil blah blah blah BORING overdone. more fire as a lifegiver. warm and comforting. fire-based characters as guides lighting the way. personal heater in the cold and dark but don’t sleep too close or you’ll wake up with heat rash. fire sterilizes and cauterizes!! more fire-based healers. plants perking up and flowers turning towards them and they attract moths. fire-based characters who are hearths instead of wildfires!! the core of a home the pillar of a community the key to societal advancement. give them an internal flame that visibly glows and flickers instead of a heart that beats. extinguish that light when they die. etc

No one ever looked for a girl... It was a prince that was promised, not a princess... What fools we were, who thought ourselves so wise! The error crept in from the translation. Dragons are neither male nor female, Barth saw the truth of that, but now one and now the other, as changeable as flame. The language misled us all for a thousand years. Daenerys is the one.

I know Ellipsus is quite good as a google docs alternative BUT i know many people (including myself) prefer like. being able to write things offline using an application on my pc. Sooo I wanted to show y'all what I'm using (obvs not sponsored)! also it's free
This is Quoll Writer. I got it because it's similar to Scrivener, which one of my friends uses. It looks like this when you have a myriad of projects-
When you make a new project it creates a backup on your pc which is good for recovery (and you can make your own backups too). You can choose where the backups go.
This is what the writer looks like itself, as you can see you have chapter management as well as a bunch of extra stuff so you can have quick references for character info and the like. You can also add in separate scenes and stuff (i've not played around with it much yet-)
It's got a lot of customization -
And a good distraction-free mode!
It exports things as either a .docx file or an .epub file which (in my experience the former can easily be converted into a PDF). I'm not explaining all of this very well, but I figured I may as well throw this hat into the ring so y'all know of an offline google docs alternative. i like it a lot - i use it for DnD planning, video script writing, fic writing, world building, and just... general creative writing. at this rate i only use microsoft word for required college papers. so... yeah! try it out, if you want! its free!
here's a link!

With the Dragon Age Day giving us a little peak of what’s next about Dreadwolf, I felt the urge to redraw the man that made me get back to drawing after a very long break. I thought it would be nice to see my progress and take an old drawing of mine to redo it, I am so pleased to see how far I came in 2 years ! When I did the old one I was just discovering Procreate and here I am still enjoying it so much 💙 I hope you also like my little style experimentation, I actually enjoy it very much !

when my shelter cat passes by me, he pauses for a second, and looks up. He is waiting for me to lean down, and touch my hand against his side, so that when he keeps walking, my hand skims across his fur. he doesn't really need attention. he has his own thoughts and plans. but after more than a year of living in our home, he has come to expect a moment of kindness whenever he crosses my path. if I don't do it, he will follow me. "where is your hand?" he asks, with his plaintive and impatient eyes. I give it to him. he bumps against it like a balloon before wandering away. this is a poem to me
