Iāve been recently getting into Sky Children of the Light. Its a cute game!
Tried making an oc or two (second oc not drawn here) doodling a sky kid every now and then. These doodles came out do well, so I decided to share them :3
[ ID: A screenshot of a boat message in Sky: Children of the light. Behind the boat message is the dark red gate to Eden, the seventh and final realm of the game. The text reads, āAm I the only one that just procrastinates going to Eden? XDā. End ID. ]
My friend and I went to Eden today and encountered this entity -- except only he could see it, and I could only "feel" it (walk into and collide with it). I was talking about completing constellations, and my friend then theorized that the reason why he could see the entity (which we nicknamed Skysus) is because has completed all of the constellations while I haven't. I know other people on Skyblr have encountered Skysus but I'm not sure of their constellation progress, hence, this poll.
Before answering, please consider the following!
If you have seen Skysus multiple times, you should answer based on what your constellation progress was the first time you saw it. For example, if you first encountered Skysus with an incomplete constellation, you should vote "Yes, I had NOT completed all the constellations at the time".
If you haven't seen Skysus before, you should just answer based on your current constellation progress.
"Completing the constellations" just means having 100% progress, not necessarily owning all of the items.
I can't put multiple polls into one post, so I'll include a link to a post with the second question I want to ask!
UPDATE; I went to Eden and tested it, hereās a list of things I found notable:
ā¢the portals are still all closed and youāre locked off from normal servers (that is, youāre alone)
ā¢stalling in aviary makes you go through an unskippable cutscene where the game begs you to go back to Eden
ā¢the wind paths and clothes try-on buildings are locked off
ā¢the nesting shop and the apartment complex (I guess) are both the same
ā¢the cinnomoroll cafe is the same too, but cinnaroll and tea-brewer kind of made some scared/shocked expressions? I donāt know if thatās normal though
ā¢candlemaker and hopeful steward are both gone, none of the other spirits appear to be gone
ā¢going into a building thatās not locked off (like the cafe) and going back out teleports you straight to the portal hub
Also: Yknow how when you're past the point of no return in Eden, if you close and reopen the game Home's all dark and the portals are closed n stuff? I wonder how that looks in Aviary now that the option's there. I'll test that next time I go.
Mmm sky cotl spoilers
Thereās something to be said about how Eden, when seen from every other realm, is this huge, noble goal. Itās marked with a massive beacon of light. Light; the thing weāre meant to follow and practically worship, the thing that brings us life. You can see Eden from anywhere in the realms. It looms over us every minute we spend outside of it, outshining the sun. Illuminated with that much light, and set at the end of the path you take to heal the world, it looks so much like paradise.
But when you reach the foot of the path, itās dark. The road - if you could even call it that - is filled with everything that takes your light away. On your first journey through, you might console yourself with the knowledge that youāve made it this far without losing much of that precious light. Beyond the terrors, there must be safety and reward, right? How could such a great, beautiful destination let you die right at its doorstep? And yet, it does. It isnāt the paradise it looks like from afar. In fact, it might as well be hell.
That harsh reality is gradually battered into you, rock after rock. The last of the hope leaves your body. Then, and only then, can you see heaven.
Ok weāve had nests for barely a day and Iāve already found some interesting thingsā
It all started when I was chilling in my nest when an unlit rando honked. Thatās strange, I thought. I thought we were alone in the nests apart from friends! (I think what happened is that they tried the thing where STAR pin owners can teleport to strangers who also have them, since they had the star owner symbol on them) I tried following them, but they teleported home.
A minute or two later, another rando (the same as the first or different I donāt know) honked, but this time from outside my nestās window, seeming distressed. I chibiād my way out through a slope to meet them and explored the nesting area from outside, where I found two things of note (pictures taken after the rando left):
The bell tower, not really āinterestingā ig but it looks like a nice place to chill, andā¦
A meditation circle (on the nestās right). That alone is fairly noteworthy, but thatās just the screenshot without the UI:
Mainstreet.
So, clearly some interesting things are gonna happen to the Aviary this seasonāthat alone was quite apparent just from the seasonās announcement. But I have to wonderā¦
Whatās gonna happen to our beloved Aviary this season for the town square to be named āMAIN STREETā?!
